He explains the materials really really well and always ask for any questions. Although he's good, his exams can be tricky and difficult cuz it's multiple choice-25 questions-4pts.each. He goes over sample final exam questions everyday.

Absolutely amazing professor - organized, methodical, explains stuff clearly, answers questions. He assigns homework from the previous years departmental final so you won't be shocked when you take the final. Obviously, you STILL have to work hard, study, pay attention and show up to class.

He is the best prof. ever! Very helpful, makes sure you understand everything before he moves on. You have to be there everyday to understand what is going on. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE HIM! If you want to pass calc., take him! Very straight foward with grading (based on test only!). You will do good on the tests.

You rock Klugman! Best professor in math that I've EVER had. I never imagined I would get a 96 on a Calculus midterm, but he made a believer out of me. This is coming from a student who got a C- in Pre-Cal, that was a bad experience that i want to forget about!

His exams are a joke, but watch out for the final. You can easily have an A average in the class from his first 2 exams, which he writes, but when you take the department final, you'll fail it and end up with a C.

Klugman is such a great teacher. His class is focused entirely on the previous semesters departemental exam - which ALL calc students have to take. He is responsive to questions and concerns and will also answer your emails. Calc is a difficult class so you MUST attend, do all homework and study otherwise you won't pass the course.

He is very patient with his students. He gives out review sheets before exams and prepares you for the final. Just sit back and enjoy the semester with professor Klugman.

Very very good. Not an easy subject but he teaches it well and makes an honest effort for EVERYONE to understand. There are students in my group who have dropped this course before and are getting As with him.

If you have never passed calculus before, he will make you pass. He is the epitome of what a teacher is supposed to be. Explains material so you can understand it with your eyes closed. Prepares you for that horrific departmental final, I ended up with a B-, because I didn't study for the calculator part of the final.

I Failed 1030 3x before taking it with klugman passed with a B. This teacher totally rocks! He is almost like a math coach and he really puts enormous effort into what he does. Calc is pretty tough, so you need to go to every class and keep up with homework - its the only way to do well.

Did not take pre-calculus neither at high school or college and got an "A" in his class. Pay attention in class, ask questions and study for the tests! His tests are almost the same as the final is. Don't be scared and usually allow half an hour max for calculator part! Professor is great, almost no homework, famous Sunday review rocked! :)

I'm a student at Columbia & took Klugman in the summer at Baruch b/c I heard that Columbia professors suck in teaching calc. I'm taking calc at CU right now & while the average student spends 5 hours to understand something, I just look at the material & understand it. Klugman's clear & explains things in such a way that makes it easy to understand

He teaches very clearly and gives lots of review sessions before exams for example, he made review sessions on Sundays and Saturdays. Overall, a very nice guy who will take all the time to explain everything to everyone. He's a fair grader. Remember! the math dept. has the last say via their final which can be very hard!

HE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR, BUT HIS TESTS AND REVIEWS ARE NOT HELPFUL ENOUGH FOR THE FINAL. I HAD A 90 AVERAGE IN HIS CLASS AND I FAILED THE FINAL. THEREFORE, IF YOU TAKE HIM MAKE SURE YOU STUDY VERY HARD FOR THE FINAL AND DO YOUR HW IN WEBWORK.

And because of him, I learn to like Math and now taking Calc 2...but at another college, because Klugman does not teach advance math in this school, and i don't like the other math professor that teach it! :(

He's a great guy and he wants you to do well but he prepares you miserably for the Final. THE FINAL IS DEPARTMENTAL so he doesn't know what they're gonna put but still, it's his responsibility to make sure students know what will be covered on the final. Half the material on the final was completely new!!!

2 years ago, I was taking remedial math because of my placement score. I just couldn't understand math and felt its pointless. However, i needed to pass calculus to graduate. I struggled in Algebra, trignometry.. until I met this professor in Pre cal.. He taught me math like no other person can.. I went on to take calculus with him and got an A!

Klugman is a great guy that will go out of his way to help you as much as you need it. His exams are difficult because he tries to make it equivalent to the FINAL EXAM. Attendance is mandatory! The textbook and webwork is pointless...just makes the material more confusing. He tries to set his test in the same format as the dept final but the dept final is ridiculous. Klugman was extremely helpful! He wanted everyone to pass! He gave review classes right before the final exam. You dont need the textbook at all! Gave 3 exams and if you passed the final, he dropped the 2 lowest exams and counted the final exam twice. Class is hard, so you do need to practice those problems. But the hard work pays off at the end.

He is OKAY. He is very dedicated and wants the students to pass. He is a little unorganized but will make sure he covers everything needed for the department final. He is a little confusing when he teahces BUT he is MUCH better than most professors is Baruch.

Rather than teaching off from the textbook, he only explains the basic things we need to know (like the formulas) and goes on solving previous exam questions. His teaching method is helpful for the final, but for some areas I wish he explained more about the concept of the formulas. He is a dedicated professor though.

Klugman is the best professor you will get at Baruch for math. He is the only professor who knows how to Teach WELL. This math class feels like 30 minutes not 1:45. 1/2 of the class is review and 1/2 new. YOU MUST DO THE PRACTICE FINALS. Was in top 15% of the class, if not one of the BEST students. Did well on most of the tests, quizzes, final and ended up with a "B". However, he did not curve this grade at all even though I probably got the highest grades in the classes. I emailed him to no avail. I do admit that he is good at teaching the material. However, he is a GPA killer.

Professor Klugman was definitely the most genuine and kindhearted person I have ever interacted with at the college. At times, he seems like an eccentric old guy but everyone in the class came to appreciate and love him for that. He would stay really late helping us learn and even offered to stay until midnight before the final. Amazing guy.

He truly cares about his students. His main objective is for you to ace the final and walk out of the class with an A. Just download all his practice finals and study them and you'll be fine. He's also pretty funny and entertains the class often.

Math for me was always a dreaded class. Prof. Klugman made everything very clear, it was only a matter of paying attention during class and studying extra at home. If you have struggles with math like me, as long as you go to every class, do your homework and make sure you don't lag behind, you should be good. My advice is to keep up the hard work

As his name suggests; Prof. Klugz is the Man. Calculus is undoubtedly one of the toughest class at Baruch, but Klugz is the best professor in the dept. His exams aren't easy, but they do prepare you for the final. Not a dull moment in his class, you will constantly be laughing and learning. He gives a review before every test (3 tests + 3 quiz).

Prof Klugman is the man. I was good at math till College, and failed this class twice already, until I registered for his class. He can be a bit confusing at times, but if you ask him 20 times about the same problem, he will explain it 20 times to you. No other prof will ever do that. Study the tests he posts on Black Board is a must.

He is extremely helpful, but you have to have a solid math foundation before taking this class. I suggest brushing up on your precal before enrolling. He teaches fast, but that's because there is ALOT of material to cover. Towards the end of the semester, he comes in on weekends to do reviews. Really wants you to pass the final.

Great professor. explains everything really well and is dedicated to his students for them to pass the final. Its not an easy A, his tests are harder then the final and theres no curve. But if you do well on the final you he will give you a good grade. Before the tests he would teach a review class till late in the night on his own time. very nice

my third time taking this course after dropping it twice! applied calc is a HARD subject esp with baruch's grading criteria! this professor's lectures made calculus CRYSTAL CLEAR! he's been teaching long enough to know what the final consists of and teaches exactly that! tests prepare you for the departmental final! I would not recommend and won't take the next class with him again because the second exam had nothing to do, for the most part, with the practice exam 2 he gave us! I did okay on the first exam. Studied much better for the second one. And did much worse on the second one. The problem is that he only had those two in-class grades to judge by.

I loved this professor ,lets get one thing straight his number one goal is to help you pass but the grade you get is up to you. he will go the extra mile to help you understand the concept and even stays after class to help .Yes his test are hard but when you take the final you will fine it so easy and thankful because of that .

Klugman might be one of the better math professors at Baruch. He holds review sessions on Sat/Sun before exams. Tough grader, but he wants you to succeed. Everything is for your better interest in doing well on the infamous department final. Lectures are manic, but just remember that you're behind if they're overwhelming!

Best math professor I have ever taken. He made me like math again which I thought would be impossible. He is super hilarious, makes jokes here and there but keeps his job professional and keeps on track. Klugman is dead the best Calc professor at Baruch son. Nah forreal, I failed Calc the first time and even though the teacher was good she didn't prepare me enough for the final. His nickname is B+ Bob. Funny dude! He likes to teach the Nasty and Naughty problems but he makes math fun and enjoyable. I was taking Calc and Stats in the same summer sesh. I got a D in Calc but i dont care because i made so many friends in that class. B+ Bob and the other classmates were so helpful. B+ Bob was the reason why i like math again.

Prof Klugman legit saved me. I was taking precalc for the 3rd time and he broke it down in a way that i was able to take in and understand the material. he initailly comes off as a grouchy old man, but hes really an understanding, patient, and humorous fellow. take him if you have the opportunity!!

A bit wacky and disorganized at times, he sometimes repeated practice questions because he had forgotten we had done them already. As far as calculus professors go, he's a solid choice. Very patient and knowledgable, his lectures can be hilarious.

Just pay attention and study his examples and TAKE GOOD NOTES!! Make sure to review his midterms because they are exactly how the finals look like. He breaks down complicated concepts well and shows shortcut methods, but I do suggest that you learn U substitution over his own method for integration because although it works on his exams, it doesn't work on the final

Excellent professor repeats steps in solving equations. Likes to answer questions. Come to class or you will fail. Study all his handouts, prepares you all semester for the final. Would definitely recommend especially if math is not your thing. Had him for precalculus as well passed with B+. I'm not big on math so imagine if I were.

He is such a sweet and caring guy and wants everyone to do well. He offered 3 tutoring sessions for the whole class before the final and gives review sessions before each exam. Honestly, if you do the work and listen to his advise, you have nothing to worry about. If you get the chance, take him!

Honestly a pretty chill and funny guy. He definitely wants you to pass since he literally tells you exactly what kind of problems will be on the test. The only reason that I didn't give him a 5 was because he is a harsh test grader and there are rarely any times when he will give partial credit out on test.

Truly phenomenal professor. Listens to his students and will always explain more than once if need be. Takes a lot of the fear out of calculus. Gives a lot of partial credit and opens up cengage if you ask. Has many review sessions and will stay late with you if you need. Really wants students to succeed and is really funny. Very helpful.

I loved this class, the professor is very respected, he always makes sure you understand stuff and always answers the questions you might have. I loved this class. Take him if you want to learn.

Professor Klugman helped me understand pre-calc. He teaches by putting problems up on the board and solving them. He encourages questions. I will say he is a tough grader when it comes to partial credit on tests. But, the tests are almost exactly like his examples in class so study that and you'll be fine. He posts test topics which are helpful.

He's a really engaged teacher; he does problems on his whiteboard and explains mathematical concepts extremely well rather than give powerpoint lectures that don't sink in like a lot of other math professors. He'll definitely get back to you if you email him. Be prepared to take a whole lot of notes, but ultimately really get the material.

Great professor, he clearly outlines what we will be going over at the beginning of class and has review sessions before test that explain every type of problem thats going to be on the test. I got a pretty bad grade (C) but I still really liked him and I feel like that speaks for itself

He really cares for the students. If you can't understand any material, please ask him. He will help you to understand the materials. You can do well in the exam by following his exam review sheet. His exam will make you prepare for the final exam.

He is one of the most helpful Professor that will help your academic grade. He is always prepared to teach you in term of the subject, also he will give review section prior of each exam. If you can't pass his class, then no math class you can pass.

He is the professor who made calculus class is very easy. His teaching style is very helpful and he get prepared students for the final.

This guy is the dopest professor. He teaches and goes over questions from prior exams which helps alot. It shows what to expect on the final. Mind you the final is departmental so you have to study on your own and help yourself as well. I passed this class with a decent grade but I know others will be happy to not take this class ever again lol

Prof. Klugman, he's cool. Precalculus in general is hard but he does try his best to explain the material, he gives examples from past exams. He gives homework, not graded but just to help to remember the stuff. He really wants us to pass. He's kinda funny.

Professor Klugman is the best math professor in all of Baruch, this man deserves the world. He makes sure everyone understands the curriculum and he's so funny. Honestly if Baruch was full of professors like him they would never see anyone fail.

considering all the other mth professors at Baruch, he is a gem. he makes sure his students understand what he is teaching, and he takes his time to actually review topics for his students. he even went out of his way to have review sessions for us before our final. overall he's a great prof and a funny guy.

The best professor I have taken so far. Im taking him again for pre calc just cause of how good he is. He makes the class as easy as it can get and his quizzes and exams are made for you to pass. Gives extra credit for final and average. You'd have to try to fail this class. Amazing professor would def recommend.

ok listen trust me when I say this. he is old so u have to understand if you cant understand something what he is saying he is trying his hardest. Professer was the best proffeser I have had ever in the whole school. this man did his best to make everything as easy as possible with 4 quizzes 2 main tests and the final. but he is the best trust

He is an amazing professor. I don't know why people complain that he goes fast. He asks multiple times in class if we need him to slow down. It is not his fault that you refuse to speak up. The final was great, and it was like his tests and quizzes. He only knows how to use the TI-89 calculator. He doesn't like My Math Lab and is lenient about it.

I failed precalc the first time and although i didnt get an A he's a great professor. He wants everyone to understand the material and explains topics very well and simply. Pre calc is hard so you do have to try but he's a great professor especially if you're not a math wiz.

Ignore ANY negative comments if you come across it because Klugman is a GREAT professor! He actually knows how to teach, he definitely does NOT go too fast and if he feel like he does, he asks the class and he'll slow down. All his midterm and final review sessions all MATCH his exams and tells you SPECIFICALLY what will be on exams. HIGHLY RECOMME

Great professor. Honestly, whoever says anything bad either didn't pay attention or didn't put in any effort. He takes his exam questions from previous baruch 2003 finals so once you get to the finals, its very similar. Makes pre calc bearable and teaches well. I had him for both algebra and pre calc and have no complains. Also gives extra credit!

Amazing professor. You have to be so lazy to fail this class. Teaches very well but be patient with him, he is old. He only know how to use the Ti-89. Quizzes were easy. GIVES EXTRA CREDITS.

Tough class, as anyone will tell you. You will need to ask questions to survive, and RK will gladly answer any questions you have. My only gripe is that there were several instances where review materials did not accurately reflect what we were tested on. Sometimes, it did, sometimes, it did not. Just show up, sit up front, and ask questions.
