i really liked him as a person. however a teacher, not so great. strayed off subject a lot. but over all a cool guy!
HARD PROFESSOR N THIS GUY SPENT ALOT OF HIS LECTURE TIME TELLING PERSONAL STORIES N NOT FUNNY JOKES.I KNOW ANATOMY IS NOT EASY BUT COME ON! MORE THEN HALF THE CLASS EITHER DROPED OR GOT REALLY LOW GRADES I WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN HIM IF I KNEW BETTER.DONT TAKE HIM IF YOU NEED THAT HIGH GRADE FOR THE NURSING PROGRAM,
Do not take him ur trying to get in the nursing program n you need a good grade. talks alot about things other then work.n when he does lectures R long n boring. expects you to KNOW n get it at once. alittle cocky, tells the same stories of when he use 2 be a cop (who cares)! teach me anatomy already!
He is a very egotistic man but he has a really great heart. He is always very willing to help when things get confusing. He does lecture a little fast but he is always willing to help you understand. Keeps things interesting with jokes and He always has a way to make the topics more interesting. Great teacher.
I took him for BIO 31 and BIO11 with an "A" as my final grade. I think he is great. If you listen, take notes, and study after class it will be an easy "A". I got in the nursing program with no problem. He is extremely helpful to all of his students as long as they ask questions and are willing to learn.
everyone who said not to take him dont listen just because their grade wasnt handed to them..i mean come on people we are in college now not in high school! had him for bio 1 good teacher, just do hw and study for tests and you will be fine! you will leave class knowing your stuff!
This guy is the best. I read things about him and was not sure. Don't believe it. I got a C but that was my fault. He is VERY clear, extremely helpful and gives you his cell so you can get him on the weekends. Knows his stuff and sprinkles it with funny stories to help you remeber.
This is the BEST teacher I have even had. The material is the most difficult I have had. If you are taking Physiology, you have to take him. He makes the material as easy to understand as humanly possible. He spends whatever time neccessary to help you succeed. I also like his sense of humor. made the class fun. I finally had a class I wanted to co
This is by far the BEST instructor I have ever had. He works hard to help us understand the material. He has endless energy and avails himself to us at anytime and gives us his cell number. He also works in the tutoring center. Only teacher I would ever take for this impossible subject
Dr.knudsen is my favorite teacher. I thought his class was hard, but if you attend class an listen, take good notes you'll pass.it may seem accessive but he's full of information. If you need to pl's utilize shima study hall. M.J.
Teacher is very funny, and always willing to help.Anatomy is hard, but he made it so interesting.Lectures are great! You must study hard, and the class will consume your time.If you're dedicaded, you will rec'v a good grade. He is the best teacher by far.I highly recommend him if you are planning for nursing.I wish I could have him for every class.
worst professor I've had. Don't recommend. Take Costa instead.
He is funny and a smart ass! He has most of his lectures on Docushare..and he is pretty helpful if you need better understanding...if they have SI session for the class i recommend going it is very helpful...and they set up lab exams before to practice before the real one!
OMG he is wonderful.....he has all his notes on docushare and has SI students that help out. But be aware that this is a hard class. attend class every day and do all labs you will learn that labs are what save your grade from falling! I wish I had taken less hours at work cuz I would have got a better grade! great teacher and really funny too!
I ended up with a B but I'm damn proud of it.This is by far the hardest class I've taken yet I learned so much.If you plan on taking this during the summer be prepared to have no life haha.Seriously.You have to dedicate all your time and effort into it if you want the grade you want.
A big yes to a little kid stuck in an old person's body. Even though his class is hard, he makes learning EXTREMELY fun. He cracks jokes like every single class time. His testes&quizzes are straight-forward. Another thing is that he is very easy to get along with. Thee best teacher that I can recommend for both Anatomy&Physiology. [:
Easy Teacher. He helps think out of the box with his jokes. You basically have to be retarded to fail this class. You should take MED Terminology before taking this class it really helped me because I only studied off his lecture. Yeah, you basically are retarded if you get a C or lower in this class. I didn't even have the book.
Dr. Knudsen is a great teacher. He was tough but he made sure we understood the material. He's very encouraging and helps students who helps themselves. He's hilarious and makes going to class fun. Some people just need to lighten up, because his Costco jokes are funny! I only got a C because I slacked off. PLEASE GO BACK TO TEACHING PHYSIOLOGY!!!
he can be intimating but if you are willing to put in the work he will help you out.... NOT a Easy class and DONT Be late
Need to have good study habits if taling his class. There is no extra credit or make ups. There are also no study guides provided. Good luck!He makes alot of jokes to keep the lecture interesting and will answer questions.Very Challenging!
His class is tough, but there is no EASY anatomy class. i got an A but had to work my ass off, it IS possible, you just have to be willing. He is a pretty funny guy, and is willing to work with you. If you attend every class(lecture AND lab) you should be fine
i hate him worse teacher ive ever had. encourages us to ask questions but yet make us feel stupid for asking them. likes to embarass people and makes inappropriate jokes. Cocky and totally rude at criticizing other teachers
He can seem mean at times, DON'T BE LATE EVER. But he's one of the better Anatomy teachers. If you study and attend class you should be fine.
He is not boring, a little ADD. lec n lab are mandatory. Study study study and you'll get ur A. He can dish out the jokes, but he can take 'em too, well most of the time accept when he has to pay alamony, lol. good luck.
He looked intimidating at first but he's actually pretty nice and extremely helpful! All his lectures are online on docushare, answers any questions you have and even hints you on whats going to be on the test during lecture. I took his Bio 33 class at 7am, i know early, but he makes learning anatomy&physiology fun.
DO THE FOLLOWING:ATTEND LAB ON WEEKENDS, STUDY EVERTHING ABOUT A SUBJECT REGARDLESS IF HE DOESNT MENTION, BE PREPARED FOR A TOUGH SEMESTER PERIOD. ALSO, IF YOU WANT AN A OR B IN THE COURSE, YOU HAVE TO BE DETERMINED ON THE FIRST DAY YOU WALK IN THE CLASS. THAT CANT BE DECIDED LATER ON THROUGH THE SEMESTER.
Simply put- he is the BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Trust me- I've gone to UCD, taken classes at UCLA and Dr. Knudsen cannot be beat. Super funny, knows his stuff, makes you learn things well and demands that you challenge yourself. If you are interested in learning and want to enjoy a class, take Knudsen!
Very funny and cool teacher. Majority of test questions are pretty straight forward compared to other teacher's which are really in depth concepts. I liked how the lecture test were ONLY on lecture powerpoints. =D RARELY used book. Most difficult part was the 2nd and 3rd exam which was basically memorizing the majority of bones & muscles.
Yes, he is a very funny teacher but i never understood why do we need to remember all the sides of each bone of the body. That is too much!! Basically, we don't need to know the bones we need all the little parts names of all of them. OH MY!!!
I LOVE KNUDSON!! he makes you laugh and makes the class fun. i had him for both A&P and anatomy. you gotta basically make this class your life and study as much as you can if you want to get an A.. but as long as you pay attention attend class ask questions and study you should be fine. i most def recommend him.(:
Dr Knudsen is a very good teacher. He is lively and makes the class interesting. This is a very difficult class so you really have to work hard for an A. You have to be on time and must participate in class.
Get him for lab too. Costa is great but Dr. K will skip things in lecture if he covered them in his lab, which screws everyone ELSE over. Tests are easy to comprehend and straight forward, but very thorough. Devote your life to this class. Lecture is interesting. Doesn't review for tests at all, accum. final. Verryy hard class but good teacher.
Yes he is very fun and his lectures are interesting, but did someone forgot to comment on his lab tests? OMG!!His lab tests are very hard, basically you need to record thousands of names in your poor brain. Accumulative lab tests. I think they're very hard. Study and study very hard!!
I hated that he does not have a study guide. You must know everything. He does not let us have previous tests. Lab exams are extremely hard. Either kill yourself studying or choose a different teacher. It seems he's been teaching for so long that he doesn't care about separating his material by sections or providing study guide. Though semester.
Very funny teacher! He makes the class very interesting with all of his stories but his test are very hard! Even if u study the way the questions are worded makes them tricky
Great teacher!Lots of studying REQUIRED to get a good grade!Dont be late or you'll get locked out of class. You'll need to put in extra hrs to study for the lab bc theres not enough time in class.I spent about 20 hrs per wk studying and staying after class and got an A.Lots of work but it can be done.
HE IS A GREAT TEACHER, VERY FUNNY. CLASS IS HARD YOU DEFINITELY HAVE TO READ THE BOOK BEFORE AND AFTER THE LECTURE. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS WITH OTHER HARD CLASSES. I HAVE THE TEXT BOOK AND LAB BOOK FOR SALE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED ($100 FOR BOTH). [email protected]
This is a hard class and Dr.Knudsen is a tough teacher - you have to be willing to work hard. He is very energtic and lectures very fast - record lectures. A little arrogant, but really wants you to learn. Very helpful if you show initiative. No free rides and don't be late!!! Wish he taught Physiology, I'd take him again.
Professor Knudsen is the best anatomy teacher you can take here at delta. He is willing to work with his students if needed and his lectures are lively. I loved his class, he makes learning the material fun and interesting. It is a lot of hard work and you must put in the study time, I studied at least 2-3 hours a day everyday.
Dr. Knudsen is by far the best teacher I have had at Delta. He cares about his students and will do anything he can to help you. It is important to pay attention in his class and to be there every day. He is fair, funny, lively, and completely entertaining! I loved this class and would recommend him to anyone.
GREAT TEACHER! Very energetic and takes the time to go back and re-explain when things aren't crystal clear. Curves tests like crazy, which is nice because there is A LOT of material on the tests. Truthfully the class is not hard, but it IS a lot of work, practically all memorization. Then again, what are you expecting from an anatomy course?
Dr.K has a heart of gold and wants students to use their brain. Anatomy is not a breezy class, however he does make it interesting. If you dont know ask. Study the models, all of them and the slides..
He is a great teacher, but this class is really hard. Prepare for no life when you take this class and STUDY, if you are willing to work harder than ever and study all of the material and models you will succeed.
This class is not easy, however, if you put in the time & effort you will succeed! Dr. Knudsen makes Anatomy interesting & fun! He also provides the tools and info. for his students, you just have to utilize the tools & info. He is upfront & more than fair. He expects his students to work hard and use their brain! I highly recommend Dr. Knudsen.
Great Teacher. You have to be 110% committed to put in the time for the volume of information being given to you. You slack you die! Easy class, no one should fail if you respect the information taught to you.
Dr. Knudsen is the *BEST* he has a way of teaching like no other. He should be given the Teacher of the year award. Take him, you will not regret it. Be responsible with your study time, record his lectures and you should be fine. I got an "A" :0)
THEE best teacher i've taken so far at delta. Like others said, the way he teaches is awesome! he's not your typical put up a powerpoint and talk for an hour. he uses real life examples and humor to get the lesson across.
HE'S THE PERFECT ANATOMY TEACHER. he teaches you absolutely everything you must know. He tells you straight out what will be on the test, no need for a study guide. Must record his lectures, & memorize everthing. Must be commited and come to lab after class and on weekends to memorize models. BUT HE IS SO humerous & helpful. makes class so interest
Absolutely great teacher! Just put the hours into it and you will know everything you need to know. Record lectures and listen to them and take advantage of the extra lab hours! Amazing teacher, I love this guy. Also, he is a very understanding person. :)
You'll walk in at 7am feeling like you just had a red bull 'cause he loves to make you laugh and knows how to keep your attention. Be punctual, go to the other labs (not all professors allow this so take advantage of it), record and listen to lectures and form study groups. Put in the time if you want to learn. Bones and Muscles are no joke friends
Anatomy with Dr.Knudsen was a fun but challenging semester. Fun because he has his funny stories that he share. Challenging because his exams are extremely difficult. If you want to be successful, you must not miss any lecture(take good notes) and must take advantage of the extra lab time including the SI on Saturdays. And study groups really help.

Best professor ever! I took Anatomy last summer. It's mostly memorization so take good notes & study them over and over. If you take it in the summer, make it your life for those 6 weeks. After class every day I spent the rest of the day studying & re-writing my notes & I got an A. It's a hard class, but he's funny so it's fun :) and don't be late.
Dr. Knudsen was an awesome Anatomy professor! He made learning so much fun. He's a very funny man and I enjoyed his class. Record his lectures, take advantage of the SI/ extra lab hours and STUDY hard and you'll earn yourself an A (like I did).
I love this man. He is very funny and will help you if you go to him and ask...... take good notes and record everything. Si is great.
Dr. K is awesome! I struggled in his class at first because I didn't quite know how I should be studying for it. But he took time to help me when I asked him and made me feel so much better. All you need to do is this: record his lectures then go home and make detailed notes on them. Then watch YouTube videos that explain the models you are studying. It's easy to get a good grade if you put in the study time. Knudsen is the best professor at Delta college. Take him!
Don't be fooled with his humour. This class is hard and if you want an A, pick another prof. 3 lecture exams, 3 lab exams, weekly quizzes, and a cumulative final. Everyone got Cs/Ds/Fs in the first exam because his tests are hard. And some questions don't cover what's in his lecture. DO NOT TAKE HIM if you want an A. HARD TESTS!!!
HARD TESTS. He WILL lock you out if you're late even for a second! Missing the lecture is the WORST! He always says "IF you get to Physiology" meaning some of your classmates WILL FAIL his class. I do NOT recommend him at all! Unless you're good at memorizing EVERYTHING he'll teach you, then take this challenging class. And good luck to you!
He likes to ask hard questions. His test are very long and involved. Some of his jokes are "unique". He expects a lot of participation. A very hard class if you have a job, children, or a life!
Dr.Knudsen is a GREAT teacher. He is funny and energetic. He does lock students out when they are late for his class, but for a good reason. His class is not easy, but if you put the time to it, you can do well in his class. Record his lectures, attend SI if you can & take advantage of the extra lab time that he offers.
If you're not on time for his lectures he WILL lock you out. 3 lecture exam and 3 lab exam. Prefix and Suffix quiz every two weeks. (DO WELL BECAUSE THOSE ARE FREE POINTS) You WILL have to put time and effort into this class. Take advantage of SI, tutoring, and extra lab time. OVERALL, you'll have to earn your grade.
Dr. Knudsen is great teacher. He teaches very well and is very detailed. He jokes around and has a great sense of humor, but don't let that fool you. When it comes down to his tests, he means business. His tests are fairly easy as long as you study PRIOR to the tests. The weekly quizzes are easy points. Study and listen and you'll do well!!
The best anatomy instructor at Delta. I took Itaya before and Dr. Knudsen is a way better instructor. He made learning fun and interesting. Highly recommend him even if your not good at Anatomy. Fair, firm, and helpful.
He is a GREAT teacher!! This class is hard!! But if you put your time in you will do fine. The voc. quizzes are free points so do well. His exams are really hard so make sure you study!! Record his lectures he tells you what to expect on the test! You have to earn your grade!! He is funny and very fair!
Anatomy is fun and easier to swallow with him. No, that does NOT mean he is easy. He is hard when it comes to timing and when it comes to exam time. STUDY HARD. whatever you're not clear, just ask him (he picks on you for fun sometimes, but dont let it get to you). make sure that you search for the answer before asking him! You EARN your grades
This class is hard. I hear all of the biology teachers at Delta are hard. I really struggled. This class requires daily studying!! Get in a study group and/or go to tutoring. I ended up with a C. Most of the class failed. I don't think I've ever gotten lower than a B! Most work is done on your own with little instruction. Watch youtube videos.
Lectures are interesting and does a good job explaining material, but lecture tests and lab exams requires lots of study time and understanding. Study the key terms he puts on board and slides in lectures, as it is like study guide, only use book as reference to look up stuff, do perfect on easy prefix quizzes, and you can pass. don't be late
2/lec&lab exams, 2 lec/lab finals. Exams are not easy!(130 fill in lab Q's) Recording lectures are helpful. Prefix quizzes and labs are easy points, so make sure you get do well! He is so funny! Class is so interesting, just so much info.2 retain in 6 weeks. I got a C :(I'm sure I would have done better in a regular semester. Study hard,u'll do well
To earn an A in this class you MUST get As on all your lab exams + quizzes. Just try your best on the lecture exams. Extremely difficult, but do-able (earned Cs and Ds on them). Received a B at the end of the class because I earned a D on the first lab exam. If I had received an A on that lab exam, I would've walked away with an A. This is the KEY!
Tough, challenging class(but then what core science class is easy)but you learn plenty! Come focused and motivated.Make sure you put in lots of study time.Ace the pre/suffix quizzes+lab packets.Form study groups, ask Q's,they'll help for lab exams. He makes lecture fun and interesting but he's serious about the subject.Got a B but could've done better
Take Dr. Knudsen for Anatomy. He is very helpful and do everything to help students pass. He provide extra labs, Si, and he curves his exams. Stealing models from lab will result in LOSS OF ALL THE PRIVILEGES ABOVE! Exams are strait from his power points and extra notes on the board. ONLY USE THE BOOK for additional reference.
Dr. Knudsen is a great teacher. He's honest, straight forward, and hilarious! Very knowledgeable about anatomy and helpful. Studying is a must in this class. You've got to put in the time to get a good grade. Tons of stuff to cover in one semester. Overall, I'd recommend him to other students.
Study study study ! Time consuming to learn all the info but its possible. 3 lab exams n 3 lecture exams. Go to si, shima science center, nd extra lab time theres no way u can fail if u do wat u gotta do. Knudsen is a great professor:)
Knudsen is the best!!!! This subject is hard but with dedication you can easily pass the class. He gives you all the tools you need. Good luck!
I took him for anatomy and A&P. excellent instructor. He makes it clear that in order to earn your A, you have to be dedicated. Of you apply yourself you should do just fine. Know that the 1st day of every month is not a good day for him.
Professor Knudsen is a great professor! Anatomy is a tough class but he is very helpful. If you have any questions, don't hesitate in asking him. Attend lectures and lab, do all the work and study! Studying is a must in this class! A very recommended professor, that cares about his students and wants to see them succeed!
He is great! Quizzes every other week on vocab words only (easy points) and memorize the lab models. Attend all the lectures and record them for later reference. Use the SI classes, the facebook page, the TA's for help and don't be afraid to ask questions. The book is good for diagrams but nearly all material for tests comes out of his lectures.
Anatomy requires so much dedication but well worth putting in the effort. You will learn a lot. Knudsen keeps the class fun and is serious on the same note. Took him fall 2013 anatomy/ spring 2014 a&p. I struggled a lot with anatomy in the beginning but was able to pull through with a B. A&P helped a lot too. Recommend it as a step before physio.
Had him for Anatomy a few years ago. Challenging class bc there's so much information. Had him this semester for A&P. Attend class, its somewhat long but he has a great sense of humor and keeps it interesting with his personal stories. Read your lecture notes from class and stay for lab to review models you and you can easily get a B.

Attend class, its somewhat long but he has a great sense of humor and keeps it interesting with his stories. Knudsen keeps the class interesting, but the class requires dedication. Make use of all your lab time. Take advantage of easy quizzes to boost your grade. Attend lectures on time. Be prepared to ask questions during lab. Don't always rely on info from the book, there tends to be opinion differences. Put in extra hours and you should be fine.
Took A&P Spring2014,90% of the class got B. This demands time and dedication, its important you spend extra lab hours everyday to study. He gives 20pts quiz every other week, those pts adds up so don't take them for granted. Also make sure you work on your lab exercises, they will help. He knows his stuff and will help you succeed if u do ur part.
He knows his stuff and will help you succeed if you do your part. Dedicate a lot of time studying. He gives 20pts quiz every other week, you get 60pts just for completing the lab, he doesn't really read the answers but try to complete them. 3 major exams + finals. Took A&P spring 2014 and 90% of the class got B's. He keeps his class interesting.
It takes a huge amount of your time, so be prepared. An A is very much possible though. Spend the time in lab for lab exams, ask him or the tutors anything if you have questions. He's HILARIOUS but is also very passionate about his work and his students and is always there to help. Take advantage of the free points from prefix quizzes! Good luck!
"A man of many skills" Hands down best professor at Delta. He gives you all the tools to succeed. He has a handful of students on his team that are ready to help! Attend SI, live in LAB, and make the TA's your new best friend. If you want to earn an A you must live this course. He makes it fun by competing for top grade. Over all it was a pleasure.
A great teacher who loves what he does. Your grades are based on exams mostly so study. If you don't go to the lectures or labs you will fall behind. Get all the easy points you can from the prefix quizzes. It is going to take effort to pass but I found it interesting.
Do NOT take this class
Worst class ever
I took him for both Anatomy and A&P and i wish i can take more classes with him. He is that good! He makes the class interesting and the best Bio professor at Delta. He gives 20pts quiz every other week for prefixes. All lab work are due on the day of lab exam. Two midterm+finals. Take this class alone or with something super easy. Study!
My favorite professor! He made class and learning fun and he's totally hilarious. Must attend lecture on time or he'll lock you out. Use all available lab time, because there's a ton of information to memorize. There are weekly vocab quizzes, lecture exams and lab exams. Ask questions, utilize student helpers. Study hard and you'll do great!
Best Bio teacher at Delta, lectures are clear and offers plenty of help for students. Prefixes quiz every other week, two midterm and one Finals. Don't be late, he will lock you out. He used to be a police officer so he can come across as a jerk to some. He uses a lot of "none of the above" on his exams. Exams are based on his powerpoint&lectures.
I don't see how anyone can not get an A in this class if they actually tried. The time I spent outside of school for this class was probably 1 hour a week or even less. I attended all the lectureslab and rarely I'd spend 1-2 hours for extra lab time to study the models. Asked questions and pay attention. Talk to your classmates for help if needed!
Funniest teacher ever! Get to watch lots of clips from people of Wal-Mart before lab. Its a fun class and I would take it again. Definitely take Knudsen over Itaya if you want to have fun and get an A and learn your anatomy. Be prepared to laugh during lectures and if you wear a sports team jersey at least know the player on it or you'll get teased
Dedicate ur life to this class and u will pass. Go to SI, take advantage of all the resources given especially lab time. Make friends with classmates, tutors, and the teacher. Develop GOOD study habitsmethods. Lecture exams are hard but passable. Labs are more points so do well on them. Prefixsuffects quiz are easy point. Live eat and breath it.
Knudsen is the BEST!!! you will never laugh as hard as you will in this class. I took the Anatomy and Physiology combined class so its 5 hours long and he makes the time go by fast. LEctures are long but entertaining and he explains things VERY well. You know exactly what he's looking for, put in the work and you'll get an A.
I didn't like how I had to fish for info. Knudsen strongly believes in having many TA's run his class. I hate it. Multiple times I have ran into inconsistencies with their answers, and it has costed points in lablec. exams. Also, many times the prof. couldn't answerunderstood questions I asked during officeclass. Knw wht you want in a teacher.
I've been lucky to have 2 wonderful science prof. in a row. Knudsen ended that streak. The fact that he was more interested in his FB's newsfeed than my presence disappointed me. His lack of gravity as a college professor is disheartening to see, and for that, I was unable to respect him. Many may disagree, but this is how I reflect the class.
Knudsen is probably one of the best science professors I've ever hard. This is a science class, so it's obvious you have to study your butt off. I got an A in the class but that's because of the time and effort I put into the class. Take advantage of the TA's and SI. Flashcards are your best friends and so is taking pictures and labeling.
Not necessarily the most approachable person.
Dr. Knudsen is by far the funniest teacher I've had the honor to learn from. Took his anatomy course over summer (6 weeks). He is a insanely great teacher, lectures contain everything you need to know, take notes verbatim, and record lectures. Labs are chill and laid back don't slack off study, study lots of memorization for practicals. Exams tough
He is the funniest professor I've ever had, but his class is tough. I never get C's, but I got one in this class. There aren't many assignments and the exams are tough. Lecture exams are multiple choice and lab exams are usually fill-in. Expect your life to revolve around this class and know a couple of bad tests will make even a B impossible!
Lecture consists of him teaching via powerpoint and by writing terms on the board and by then talking about each term and how it all works together. Anything he says during lecture can be found on an exam so record the lectures. You don't need the book but it can give you a better understanding of the subject. Its not very hard, just a lot of info.
It seems like half of our class either ended up dropping or failing, so it definitely isn't an easy class. There is A LOT of information you need to know and it gets tough because usually lab exams and lecture exams are the same week with two different extreme amounts of material to have memorized. That being said, hes hilarious and a great teacher
Took Knudsen this semester, and I really enjoyed his class! Probably the most I've ever studied for a class. He really means it when he says you need to study every day.
Dr. Knudsen is by far one of the best Professors that Delta College has to offer. He is very hilarious, clear on what he wants from you & as funny as he is, he can be pretty strict too. He tries to make things easy for you to remember, but you also need to know that Anatomy is nowhere around being easy. So, be ready to study 28 hours a week!
This is Anatomy! This is a HUGE course and he wants you to know everything. You WILL have to work hard and study the MINIMUM 14 hours a week to pass the class with an "A." No if, ands, or butts about it. Take him to learn and to have a awesome professor! If you are going to the medical field, this is where your studying will change DRASTICALLY!
I took Knudsen's 4 week summer Anatomy class and I'll just say it was not easy. You have to really dedicate yourself to this class if you want an A. Recording lectures and coming to class everyday are essential. This class was very fast paced in 4 weeks. He's an amazing teacher, can be offending, but definitely wants his students to learn!
Out of the four years I have been taking courses at Delta, his class was the very best. Very entertaining lectures. Highly recommend printing powerpoint and recording lectures, as wells as recording videos for lab purposes. Makes class a fun environment. Your attitude towards learning the material determines how successful you are in the class.
I took the 4 week course summer class. I don't recommend this course to nurse student or anyone else. It's basically a full semester in 4 weeks. Lecture test are tricky. Lab test are OK. His assistants run the lab and only a few are helpful. Only 3 days to drop. I thought he was offensive and too much of his private life. Overwhelming class work.
Great teacher, definitely harder class. If you want it, be prepared to study. Otherwise, you WILL NOT pass. You need to only take this class or also take easy ones along with it. It will be your main focus.
Dr. Knudsen is very straightforward with what he expects of you. He is very enthusiastic and enjoys teaching. The class is manageable even with a course load, just manage your time well. It's not as bad as people say it is, so don't psyche yourself out. Don't slack off on the prefix and online quizzes, they really make a difference. Work hard.
Show up to everything, take really good notes during lecture and record it in case you miss anything. Get all of the 'easy' points from quizzes and online reading assignments. Use SI, tutoring center and extra lab time. Class will take more outside of class time than other classes to get an A. Funny and engaging professor made class fun!
I was really nervous about doing Anatomy. I've heard many horror stories about it. But I worked my butt off and ended up doing way better than I thought. His tests are hard but they are doable. Get a good study group and study constantly and you'll do great. He's a great teacher, he can act like a jerk but he really is a sweet guy deep down.
Anatomy is not easy. However, Dr. Knudsen makes it easier. He's a great lecturer and easy to pay attention to. He's hilarious! You need to devote time to studying. Studying everyday doesn't seem like enough sometimes. Prepare for breakdowns too. Like I said, anatomy is hard. When you do take it, take it with Knudsen!
Online quizzes (easy points), Prefix quizzes (easy points), 3 Lecture exams (study powerpoint notes, take notes or record when he lectures) , 3 Lab exams (spend good time in lab), for extra help go to SI & tutoring. There is nothing on the test that you haven't gone over in lectures, lab, or SI. Knudsen is the best teacher to learn from!
One of the best professors at Delta hands down. He loves teaching and makes all of the boring things(like organic chemistry) fun. He's able to dumb things down so you can understand it. The lectures are Extremely tough so make sure you do ALL of the hw and do really good in the lab practicals. Definitely don't take this class with another hard one.
I just finished taking his 4 week summer course. Yeah I said it 4 weeks. Knudsen makes lecture enjoyable despite his somewhat dark humor which make them all the more easy to remember. You really need to be on task and even spend time outside of class to go over things. Doing all that will make this class go by like a breeze.
Dr. Knudsen knows what he is teaching very well and the way he teaches it makes it memorable. I wish I could take him for Physio, I didn't take his class as seriously as I should have but at the end I worked my butt off and raised my grade. He truly does care for his students but you need to put them the time and effort into the class
Dr Knudsen is great! you cannot fail if you put in the work and take advantage of all the resources! attend SI regularly with Jerry who is also the best! put in the work and all will be good!
Lectures are extremely important and he is very good a what he does. Everything will make since as he goes over it but in order to retain the information for exam, you must study it that same day. Amazing teacher, wish I could take him for every Bio class.
This class a lot of work, but completely worth it. Dr. Knudsen is a very good teacher and always keeps the lectures interesting.
If you are going to the nursing program Knudsen will give you THE BEST START, he makes the lectures and labs entertaining and intresting ! Record lectures, read the book, he clarifies what you dont get on the book through lecture. You will have a lot of help from his tutors and resources. Don't have a class after his lect so you can do SI.
Professor Knudsen is generally a good professor. He started out the year lecturing really well. Towards the end of the year he seemed to have gotten lazier and would take up about an hour or more talking about minuscule topics but would speed up whenever he would talk about the really important parts.
Good class excellent lectures. 3 Tests, 3 Lab tests and quizzes and lab assignments.
This professor is by far one of my favorites! Although he can tell a lot of stories in his classes, the stories he tells are applicable most of the time. I retained a lot of information from having him as my professor. He made learning as fun as it was when I was a kid. He also listens to your concerns if you feel the exams were unfair.
Professor knudsen is the best Ive had at delta thus far. He has SI for extra help and you WILL need the extra help. If you are late for lecture even 1 minute he will have the door locked so dont be late.
BY FAR ONE OF THE GREATEST PROFESSORS I HAVE HAD! In all honesty I was dreading this class, but Mr. Knudsen turned out to be an amazing teacher. His class is very comfortable, and he tries to make the criteria fun. Be warned though, this course is not an easy A. You WILL have to work hard to earn a respectable grade, but its completely worth it.
Professor Knudsen is one of the best professors in San Joaquin Delta College. You will learn a lot from him. In his class you're going to work and work hard for your grades. Be aware though, his multiple choice exams are harder than fill in the blanks. He would make learning fun for everyone though. He treats his students like his kids.. Love him!
He is the best prof in SJDC. i would take him again. His Lec test are tricky reread them. Lab test are easy he has his own tutors to help. It is an easy A if you study and put in work . If you like this type of subject you will want to know every detail. It gets really interesting Dont be discouraged about BIO with him he is the best
Dr. Knudsen is an amazing teacher! He wants his students to succeed and he provides many tools for success. He is funny and always makes learning fun. This class was by no means easy, I worked my butt off to earn my grade! If you put in the time though you will reap the benefits. Knudsens lecture exams were hard, earn extra points on the lab test!
Dr Knudsen is AMAZING! He makes anatomy so fun and enjoyable. GO TO SI. You wont regret it. The Tas are all helpful, friendly and amazing. Definitely going to miss this class. Beware though, its ALOT of memorization. So work for your grade
He makes Anatomy understandable. Everything is memorization; the work itself isn't hard to understand, there's just TOO much info to take in that you have to work really hard. The only issue I had were his tests. They are VERY, VERY tricky!! You have to think like him to understand the questions.
After taking the first exam, it was quite obvious he was not a fair teacher. Majority of the questions dont list the right answer, instead its misspellings and such to trick you. Never have I ever had a teacher that lectures with such emphasis on terms, and not use said terms on exams. Easy material, petty grading techniques. Dont recommend.
You HAVE to be on top of your studies to pass this class. Knudsen knows it's a tough class but offers many outside sources for extra help, like tutoring, S.I., practice exams, and extra lab time. I worked my butt off but didn't take advantage of tutoring/S.I. Would've gotten an A if I did. He really wants students to pass and is hilarious!
KNUDSEN hands down the BEST professor I have ever taken. You definitely earn your grade in this class. You have so many outside resources to help you in order to pass the class, SI/ tutoring, extra lab time, notebooks from previous students, pictures/ videos (I took advantage of all of it). If you aren't serious, don't even take the class.
Knudsen has been by far the most dedicated professor Ive ever had. He goes out of his way to provide an exciting and hilarious learning environment, so that as students we can learn to ENJOY learning again. Over a 4 week semester I learned more than I ever thought was possible, and gained the confidence theres no class I cant handle.
He is the best teacher. He really wants to see you get a good grade. He understands that it is a lot of material to learn and give you all kinds of resources. SI, tutoring, online resources and he has his own amazing tutors in class to answer any questions you might have. Use the tutors they are there to help you. PUT in the time, it will pay off
Hands down. Worsts professor ever. Extremely disrespectful and rude. Dont bother taking the class until you Have 40 hours to study. According to him, you have nothing else to do but study for this class.
He gives 3 lecture exams, 3 practical exams as well as semi-weekly quizzes based on medical prefixes. He gives study guides for ABSOLUTELY everything, and has resources like imbedded tutors and the facebook group. Attend lecture. Anyone giving this professor bad reviews probably took nothing Knudsen said to heart and thought they would pass anyway.
He is a good professor. He has great tutors that are there to help you. If you really want a good grade go to tutoring, SI, and take advantage of your lab hours. I don't recommend this professor if you are sensitive to jokes.
I didn't like this class but use the study guide questions from Facebook to study. He'll pull the same exact questions from there and put it on the exam. Make a powerpoint of the lab material so it's easier to study. Write down the key topics he mentions in class and read more about it in the book because he doesn't go over everything in-depth.
Anatomy is a hard subject and class and this professor just makes it harder. I studied so much but still could not pass. The first time I have ever failed a class. He relies on his TA's to help you. His exams are hard you have to study until you breathe anatomy. Your life has to be put on hold. Take advantage of everything he offers.
Practice problems for lecture exams are given in the 'files' tab on FB. Some problems are word-for-word on the actual exam. Highlight when he says "This is a test question" because they most likely are. Labeled models are also on the FB page for lab exams. Every resource you need to pass the class is given by the professor, so take advantage of it.
Best Anatomy professor there is. A lot of help is offered: tutors, FB, SI. There are 3 lecture and lab exams, online & terminology quizzes, 6 lab packets, and other assignments. Lecture exams are tricky (e. none of these choices) but got easier. Lab exams were straightforward. Put in the work, get your questions answered and you will be fine.
I am a nursing major and this was the very first science prereq I took and I regret taking Knudsen. Yes, as a person he is great and he's funny. He is not a good lecturer and the lecture exams were HARD. I studied my butt off and got a C... & btw at 7 on the dot he locks the doors. Does not matter if you get there at 7:01, you won't be let in.
As a person he's pretty funny. Don't get me wrong he has immense knowledge about the subject. You could go up & ask a fact about anatomy & he's more than happy to answer it. BUT during his lectures, goes WAY off track. Half the lecture is reading off power points, half is talking about his life. Labs are simple, but TA's run it. He's hardly there.
7 AM lectures... don't do this to yourself trust me.
Took this class believing the older ratings but can see how his class is degrading. He's a pretty funny professor but can take it too far with racist comments and talking about overweight people. He thinks after spewing info fast at you during lecture you'll remember it fast, if not he sees you as "dumb", his words. Respects only the "smart ones"
Getting a good grade is do-able, but If you're looking for an easy A don't waste your time. Record the lectures and review the material. The lecture exams are based off the powerpoint slides which are available online. The lab exams are easy if you spend the extra hours in lab to study. He offers numerous outlets for assistance/guidance. No EC.
he has his TA's in lab to do his work and even then, they are not much help. exams are 3-5 chapters worth
Knudsen was a good professor but this class was more about how much time I put into it. It will take up more than 20+ hours a week just to have a hope of coming out with an A. And you have to be consistent, it was always something new being taught each and every lecture. Go into lab as much as possible to study, never miss lecture, and record lectu
This professor was one of the best professors I have had here @ delta. He is well knowledgeable in the subject & will help you if you don't get it. Also he has an amazing team of TA & tutors if you need help. They're there for you in class & outside of class with lots of resource to help. This class is could be hard, but w/ time put in you get an A
Honestly this class took everything and then some to even come out with a B. Knudsen was a great teacher, very knowledgeable and funny, but what really helped me were other students and meeting with TA's to study my butt off. Don't take a single other strenuous class with anatomy or you'll have to sacrifice more time than you have. Record lecture.
Professor Knudsen is the most amazing professor ever! He cares very much about how each students is doing and he provides many opportunities and helpers to aid you during the semester. I really wish he would be one of the professors in my nursing program!
This was a hard but great class thanks to knudsen and his TAs. Make sure to record lecture and retake notes. He gives you plenty of time for exams and you get prefix/suffix quizzes every other week, easy points. If you put in the time and ask for the help you will get a good grade. Work hard and you'll get an A.
His class is great! He has a lot of resources online, such as a FB group with the info needed for the tests & TA's that will be there to help you. I suggest going to SI meetings, recording lectures, and taking the class seriously. You will get an A if you put the work in. He is also really nice and funny, it makes waking up early less horrible.
Loved him! RECORD every lecture and re-listen as you do your notes again. ATTEND SI. Use resources given like the Facebook page as well as EXTRA lab time! Lecture and lab are like separate classes, each is very demanding. If you put in work and effort, it will be worth it! He will help prepare you for future Bio classes and the nursing program!
He is amazing! The thing I loved most about Dr. Knudsen is how much he cares about his students doing well in his class. He makes attending class enjoyable. Record every lecture! ATTEND SI! Even if you dont think you need it, great study tool. If you are ready for hard work and dedication to getting the grade you want, this class is for you!
Prof. Knudsen is probably one of my favorite professors I have taken to date. I took his Bio33 class and yes, it was really difficult, but his lectures are amazing and it is possible to pass the exams if you put in the work and study. Participation is greatly appreciated/necessary to learn the material well.
The class was hard but if you put in the time to study and have good studying methods you can pass. There is a lot of memorizing I did not like the way he lectured but he still was great. He has many extra things such as TA's and SI. This class was super time consuming and you have to work for the grade you want.
Goes off topic. Criticize people who are fat and makes fun of peoples name. His tests are extremely hard and does not relate much to any of our lectures and labs. His TA are the ones who are babysitting us during labs. He leaves us alone during labs and I find that crazy. He definitely favors smarter people.
Everything he writes on board in lecture is basically your Exam study guide, and recording lecture is useful to replay everything then read textbook on topics he covered in lecture. Quizzes and online HW are freebie points. Taking pics of lab models and slides then label them is useful. Must have thick skin if overweight, asian for his jokes
This is for people who are seeking to take this course during the summer (4 weeks). If you have a children (like myself) or other priorities I would recommend you take this course during a regular semester. This is the grade I have worked THEE hardest for. Take good lecture notes but most importantly UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL, attend SI!
Loved his class! He has so many past students who come in just to help current students. I was so scared to take anatomy but he made the course understandable and fun. He does make you work for your grade but it is very possible to get an A if you put in the work and you will feel so accomplished!
If you're taking this class online, don't. It's better if you wait for when you can have Knudsen in-person. I feel a lot of his personality is lost through distance learning, and it's just such a difficult class without it. He has really funny lectures and his SIs are SUPER helpful, but if you don't need to take it online, then don't.
I wouldnt recommend this professor. Reported him to the dean.
To get A You MUST: Study TISSUES, BONES & MUSCLES like your A depends on it. It does. GO. TO. EVERY. SI. From very 1st day. Period. Do HW and watch lectures early. Do not procrastinate. Do everything in Modules. Watch every lecture and take fantastic notes. Study VERY hard for Every. Single. Test. This class is hard, but nursing school is harder.
Knudsen is very knowledgable and has organized the systems of the human body so well that every chapter feels like a cliffhanger into the next (if you enjoy what you are learning). Take/draw really good *visual* notes and study a lot. The exams have the biggest impact on your grade and although they are multiple choice you have to critically think.
Was not a fan of the way he lectured. Video wasn't the best quality so drawings were hard to see. ATTEND SI, it will help your grade more than you think. Also learn to take GOOD notes, write everything he says because it will pop up on exam. Exams are multiple choice with 'none of the above' in every question without the ability to go back.
He made discussions and lectures very entertaining especially with visual aids, He explains things very vividly and is very encouraging. He makes very funny jokes which made the lectures fun! Provides a lot of support and help! I would take a class with him again and recommend him highly! Quality lectures and a very inspirational professor!
4 week online summer course: 2 lecture exams, 3 lab exams, 1 lecture final, 4 labs. Exams are multiple choice with "none of these" for each question and open on certain days with enough time to complete the exam. Attend SI, only take this class for the session, don't read the book, rewatch videos at double speed, do all modules, and have no life.
Do not bother buying the textbooks. Instead, finish the connect assignments at the start of the semester within the 2 week free trial. For the bones textbook, there will be a free pdf in the modules. YOU WILL NOT BE TESTED ON THE TEXTBOOK. YOU WILL BE TESTED ON THE LECTURES AND THE MODELS IN CLASS. Take advantage of staying in lab all day. Study!!!
Anatomy is a hard class. However, Prof. Knudsen does his best to simplify all the difficult concepts into simple ways for understanding. Prof. Knudsen is entertaining and jokes around in lab while teaching so it's not boring. You have to apply yourself to study for this class because it's not easy, but he will help you understand it greatly.
don't take him if not good at science
knudsen is a really good professor, he explains stuff, gives good examples to help you remember lectures. his humor nay seem offensive to some but it grows on you. ill deff take him again
Dr. Knudsen is a great professor for this class. Though lectures may be long and heavy, just make sure to stay on track with the lectures. When he unlocks the module with lectures, do it right away and take notes. He also has these prefix quizzes that we took every two weeks, but it's straightforward. Such a cool and hilarious teacher.
First starting class, I was a bit nervous due to the vast amount of material needed to be learned but at the end of the semester, I would take the class all over again. He is a very knowledgeable and entertaining professor who really knows his stuff. He makes anatomy very fun. Just stay on top of things and utilize the resources available to you.
Professor Knudsen teaches tough classes, but is a great professor who is present in your learning experience. He makes his class enjoyable. There isn't a lot of work due, but you need to spend your time studying, watching lectures and taking notes. This class can be easy if you stay on top and prepared. There are no surprises. Be ready to learn!
He consistently inserted his right wing political opinions when no one asked. I don't mind if my teacher has differing political views from me, but doing an impression of Nancy Pelosi as if she was intoxicated was just bizarre. Don't waste your time just take the class in Mountain House it is easier and the teachers understand professionalism.
This class was the hardest class I have taken so far. If you are not ready to put in the time and work this class takes DO NOT take the class. Dr. Knudsen is a great professor and is willing to help his students succeed. He is a bit scary at first but he's actually really nice. There is a lot of material you have to memorize so be ready to study.
You don't need to show up to class but most students are there from when his doors open to when they close. You are able to attend any of his classes since it's usually the same subject. If you need help just talk to him. His labs tests aren't too hard but his lecture exams are kind of hard, those determine your grade.
Great Professor, super smart, and hilarious. He has his class very well organized and has a specific tutor for his class. She's very smart and helpful, please utilize her tutoring while taking his class. IF you like to be late and miss a few days here and there, I will not recommend Knudsen. He has a quiz worth 20 points every other week.
Professor is difficult due to the amount of information given in a specific amount of time. Personally, if you are taking this class for credit or for a major, get ready to read and take A LOT of notes. This is a very fast paced class! If you miss one day of lecture or notes you are already 3 days behind. Class is test heavy so MAKE TIME to study!
Take LOTS of notes, ask questions, go to every SI, and rewatch lectures if you want to get an A. It's a HARD class but you will learn so much if you are there for the right reason. I loved this class, but it was very time consuming and challenging in a good way. It changed everything I thought I knew about learning and studying.
If you arent inherently good at science or have STRONG study habits, dont bother in the summer. You can take time off work and dedicate yourself to this class and still not succeed. The professor would stress how short on time we are but pursue tangents and scroll through Facebook. I would ace an exam about his life. Great guy, not a great teacher
One of the most difficult classes ever since it is lecture heavy. I honestly think you will only pass this class with an A if you don't have a job outside of school. You need to study at least 4 hours every single day. He isn't very supportive but expects you to know everything. He doesn't teach at all and only relays on his 2020 lecture videos.
This class is not for procrastinators. If you are one, don't bother. Tips to passing: watch ALL lectures, take DETAILED notes, attend SI meetings, STUDY 24/7 (literally), go to his other classes whenever there is no class for you, and ASK questions. This is how I got my grade. This class is not easy, you have to work your you-know-what off for it.
He lets you attend any of his labs if scheduled for a 6pm lab you could come as early as his 9am lab. You don't have to stay. My peers and I came in from the morning he opened till he closed, it was summer. Test's had "all of the above" "none of the above". But his lectures do tell you what will be on the exams. 3 lecture exams and 3 lab exams.
Took BIOL31 Spring 2023. Great professor. Hilarious. Impatient at times. Lecture heavy. Test heavy. Lecture and lab tests were multiple choice. Quizzes on medical terminology, but they were easy. Lot of memorization for lab tests. Overall a fun class
If you are going to take anatomy, take it with Knudson!! he's super funny and out of pocket. This class was very hard to manage if you have a job, are a student athlete, or have anything outside of the class. It is very lecture heavy, and test heavy.
This class is lecture heavy! There's a lot of memorization so be prepared for it. The questions of his lecture exams are pretty straight forward if you put in the time to study. ATTEND SI. Jules was very helpful and really explained thoroughly especially when it comes to the professor's directive teaching. You can't really see what's on the board.
He seems scary at first, but he's a softie at heart. You cannot procrastinate, you need to be ON TOP of every lecture video. Exams are very lecture-heavy. Lab exams are easy, but lectures are difficult. Bones textbook is not needed, there's a pdf, but buy the McGraw. You can get an A, you just need to put this class as your priority. Great Prof!
Best professor I have ever HAD in my LIFE. I learn so much and he is super funny. His class is hard but if you put your time into it, your grade will show for it. All his tests are multiple choice so it makes it much easier than written responses. I took the accelerated class and it was hard but it was fun and he didn't make class boring.
BEST prof at delta! Its ALOT & its how bad you really want it. After taking other bio teachers I realized he's truly the best. His class pushes your learning limits. He explains things in ways that will help you understand clearly. Im so thankful, he teaches you so much. Its a no freebie grade & don't be late. Hes a lil out of pocket but hilarious
Expect to spend a lot of time on this course understanding the lecture material. You have to teach yourself the material because he barely does. I wouldn't recommend taking this course if you work or took harder classes, because it is so stressful.
He is funny but his videos that are over 4 years old are very hard to see and understand. If you don't show up to class he will drop you right then and there. YOU CAN NOT BE LATE HE WILL CLOSE THE DOOR. It does seem that he doesn't teach tbh. I wish he engaged more and helped out students around the class.
he doesn't teach well. He uses videos from Covid which arent clear at all to see. Youll find yourself teaching the material to yourself otherwise its difficult to understand. When in person, he will spend time just telling the class they are behind, watching youtube and telling insensitive stories. Dont bother.
Uses a lot of references in lab, he makes lots of jokes & out of pocket comments (some to the lecture some not). But he does care about the students that show hard work. Put in the work/time he'll help you, but if you just watch lectures & miss lab don't expect to pass.
Professor Knudsen is alright. He's funny, he will give extra credit if he's feeling generous. He doesn't do C- only C, C+ so that's a good thing. He's really honest & can be a bit rude. Doesn't really like to be asked questions. Although his lectures are a bit old he will base exams off of them literally. So I RECOMMEND watching the lecture vids.
Honestly he's pretty funny, not an easy A, and he doesn't really explain well. BUT go on youtube search up the channel: @christophersonderman8535; go all the way down to SI 1, these will help you pass the lab exams, even lecture. Her names Brooke, and sh'es amazing, explains everything so well. She took his class so. That's how I personally passed.
Do not take this professor. He is a horrible professor. You gotta flirt with him in order to receive some attention. He doesn't teach. He just gives you 4 year old zoom videos that are completely hard to understand and are blurry. All he did was sit there and talk about his wife and ex wife. Never taking him ever again.
Is a nice person but his teaching skills not so great. During labs he'd go way off topic and talk about his life's stories, he wasted a lot time talking about stuff that wasn't class related. We got a new lab packet almost everyday we went to class so we were short on time. I wouldn't recommend taking this prof unless you want to teach yourself.
Funniest teacher but straightforward. Do the work, study HARD, and take the class seriously, or you will not pass. Use SI study group, youtube, quizlet, purpose games and other platforms to help you study. No extra credit, he makes you work for your grade. I appreciate a teacher that does not sugar coat things. It's all about what you REALLY want.
He's a very funny professor. If you're a visual learner this class will be tough for you. There's definitely a lot of expectations, he expects you to watch the zoom videos and you will have to learn yourself! Nothing is really taught in class expect for clarifications on certain lectures. SI are very helpful but does take time out of ur day.
The professor is amazing, he cares about his students and is straight forward, he does not sugar coat anything and will tell you from the beginning what it takes to pass his class. Labs are not hard if you put the time to study. It takes hours to get through a single lecture video; just make sure you take good notes, concept maps are great!
Extremely unprofessional instructor. Made inappropriate and uncomfortable comments toward female students and also said racially insensitive things as a whole. Instead of teaching, he constantly went off topic. Lectures were outdated, blurry videos from 2020. Overall, I am disappointed. Do not be fooled by these ratings of people praising him!
I would not take him again he is awful he goes out of topic and starts talking about random things that are unrelated to the class barely teaches want you to watch old bad quality zoom video from ages ago the videos are such bad quality sets you up for failure i wish i would have listen to past review..
Don't take him! He's the type that hands out freaking packets yo! instead of teaching the class. He makes the lecture exams so confusing and difficult to pass. His lecture videos are so long and they were also recorded back in 2020. He's an arrogant professor that when you would ask questions he would make fun of you. Get ready to teach yourself!!
It's not an easy class, but you need to work hard depending on the grade you want. I spent 7-8 hours a day mainly to understand all the lectures and lab sessions. You also need to stay on top of all the lectures each week and have more time to study and supplement your knowledge of the material.
Really tried giving this Professor and class a try with a positive open-mind. Never seen so many sorry faces in one room. Could write every bad experience/fact but there's not enough space to fit it all in the 350 character limit. On the good side, he tells many stories during Mandatory Lecture. And I'll have many of my own stories to tell buddies.
He seems to be really tough at first but he is trying to help his students to get better grade,
Knudson is funny and has good stories, There is never new material, and i say this because he has study guides and lectures from 2018-2020. The SI leaders are more of a teacher than him and be prepared to teach yourself. Very lecture heavy. Will make you feel wrong for asking questions. He is retiring anyway but I would never do this again. sick
another gatekeeper condesencing ahole- who will share your private information from dsps to friends and family :D. and will belittle you and make u feel dumb for not knowing things. will say hes available to help students after class then leave and never show up until its time to go home! and says its "after hours" where he cant stay/ help students
I have never seen so many students absolutely confused/ stuggling in one room to understand the material or keep up with it. he assigns so much homework and is not willing to help or he will yes you off. tells inappropriate jokes in class, surprised he isnt fired yet. 350 words isnt enoguh to summarize how AWFUL of a professor this dude is.
You will have to teach yourself. lecture information is from 6 years ago. SI leaders are more useful than him. Will say he wants to help, but will make you feel like an idiot. Tells us he wants us to pass, but doesn't make himself available when we need it. Very hard to obtain lecture information, will only pass if you can teach yourself. (DONT)!!!
Love Dr. Knudsen! He is someone who cares about you, makes sure you understand the class in order to get the grade that you deserve if you put hard work into it. But be prepared, HA is not meant for the weak. You have to really sacrifice sleep, your job, and lots of time into studying to get a decent grade in the class. He's also funny, like a dad!
He really means it when he says you have to give your all in this class. My best advice is to always be ahead and study everyday. You need to finish all the lecture notes and model notes early to practice active recall despite what the module says. Missing SI is big no-no. Dont study the book unless for pics. Glad it's over.
He just gives you the lab papers in class and let you work on them and the lecture you have to learn yourself. NO EC. Don't bother asking him he gets mad and he did curve one of the test but do not ask for the curve because then he won't do it. His exams are very hard and you should start preparing for those literally when you start the class.
not a fan dont take him lecture is from years ago not helpful very out of pocket test so hard make you feel dumb not curving or ec and dont ask for it he will belittle you
I'm passing this forward because I saw it in a previous review and it helped me know what to focus on for the class: youtube channel @christophersonderman8535. I do think he cares about making anatomy fun for his students through his stories, but it does cut into your lab time. Wish I could say more but there's a character limit.
I enjoyed this class. Knudsen is hilarious, but sometimes it cuts into the lab time. His lectures were very informative, but the DT lectures were hard to follow because they were super blurry and recorded in 2020. Someone said that he doesn't curve or whatever, but he curved 5 of the 6 exams. Idk what they're talking about. Overall, great class!
Class time is reserved for labs and lore dumps (most of which involve the women in his life?); tells sus jokes, as others have said before me. Does not go over material in class, so you'll need to self-study w/ blurry vids from 2020. Online lectures are engaging, but exams are tricky. Pro tip: max out points on labs (easy). Curved 5/6 exams though!
I loved professor Knudsen. It is so important to study. He lays out all of the criteria and gives you ample opportunity to pass. Attend SI and listen to his advice. He is available outside of class hours and his SI leaders are also available to help with any ?'s you have. It was hard to pass but it can be done. Be open minded and ready to work hard
Goes off topic a lot during lecture. Attending SI is very useful in my opinion. She is amazing, honestly teaches better than the professor. Only pros is he has lots of extra points opportunity rather than just based off of exams and he curves most exams. Which is very helpful. He likes to pick and choose who he wants to be nice to tho which sucks.
He is overall a good professor. Does not really go by the textbook, very lecture heavy especially on the exams. Curved basically all the exams. I did not have the time to attend SI however like someone else mentioned, YouTube and 2020s pre recorded lecture videos. I passed with a C. Ask all the questions, build friends, build a study group.
Lectures were super easy to understand and class was fun. To put it simply, he's the messi of anatomy.
