i had this guy for college algebra and have him now for precal and he is a really good teacher. im hoping he teaches calc so i can get him again. tests are not very difficult and all are worth 104 points. always willing to explain and give extra help.

I had him for princples of math, basically math for teachers. He was always very helpful, I found the class easy and ended up with a 98, but if u did the hw and paid attention in class u should do fine. Ask questions if u need help, b/c he will answer.

Mr. Koff is a great teacher, who is willing to help his students. His teaching is excellent. He explains a new material very clear. If a student has a question, Mr. Koff will be glad to help him/her. My advice is to take his course!

He is a very informative teacher, who is knowledgable of his subject, and teaches his classes so all can excell. I was not a stellar math student before, struggling in class, but now I grasp the concept of Algebra. TAKE THIS CLASS IF I WANT TO SUCCEED!

Koff is good, but not if you remember nothing from high school. He spends a lot of time reviewing homework and takes a long time to explain how to do a problem or get to a point. Knows few short cuts.

Definitely take him! Makes math easy even for those who find it extremely difficult. Explains the subject well and is a very nice man. Homework is never checked, but reveiwed for basically half of each class. tests are what you expect, not tricky, but cover all the information in previous chapters.

This was one of the easiest A's I have ever made. There are 4 tests and a final. He doesn't grade homework. Just come to class and you're fine. He's nice, too, which is always good. Take him. He's the best.

I hate this subject more than anything, but I was happy to find a math teacher who actually understands that this does not come easily to all of us. He is willing to help his students in his spare time, and is very approachable. He reviews everything, and doesn't try to trick us on the tests. Great guy!

Mr Koff is so helpful. I am not good at math, and I made an A. He will go over as many homework problems as you need. Just do the homework every night and you will be set. Best math teacher I have EVER had!!

Koff is extremely helpful. He's really optimistic and his class isn't hard, u just have to do the homework and show up for class to learn. I think I got a B in his class but I'm not so sure.

Great teacher. His Study Guides go perfect with the test. If you do the homework problems and study the study guide you are sure to pass.

I was dreading Algebra because I thought I didn't have a "math brain." I was wrong, I just needed a teacher who could explain the concepts clearly and who CARES about whether or not you understand it. Mr. Koff was great! I actually found myself enjoying Algebra! Attend class, DO the homework, participate in class and you'll do well.

He is very helpful-he practically begs his students to receive his help. How can you beat that. He takes his time and explains a problem until you get it by using real-life scenarios. I was always bad in mathematics but he showed me that I can actually make it if I tried. he is excellent. Definitely a top pick.

I hate math. But for some reason when he teaches I just "get it" he really does make you understand it. I didnt do so well in my math 98 and 97 classes but I got a B in his class. There are alot of tests but they are so easy because its on LESS material. He knows his stuff.

GREAT TEACHER! one of the best teacher there is in GPC!VERY CLEAR AND HELPFUL! HE WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE TEST! YOUR AVG WILL BE BASE ON ALL OF YOUR TEST AND THE FINAL. He will give you a study guide for everything and go over it during class. Explain problems very well and understandable. JUST ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS..:)

Very helpful teacher. i'd never had an A in math in all my life, the tests were so easy getting an A+ wasnt a problem for me. Plus he really explains things.

Attendance is NOT mandatory. He gives you a calendar of test days and homework assignments. Homework is not required. He gives review sheets for each test. I showed up just to pick up the review sheets before the tests, and I got an A on each one. Each test is mostly multiple choice and has extra credit problems. Not hard for me. Nice guy, too. :]

I only took him to take the class with a friend, but he was a really good teacher. I had an A for most of the semester and only got a B because I slacked off towards the end of the semester. Very helpful, has a review day the class before a test. Would highly recommend.

Professor Koff has to be one of the greatest math teachers I have ever had.His class was always lively and fun.Attendance not counted,homework not graded.He gives a review sheet before each test and spends an entire class going over all questions.Really takes the time to make you understand.I liked him so much Im taking his precal this semester.

I took algebra with him. Mr Koff is a really good techer. He is easy to understand and if you don't understand he will take the time to go over something until you do. His test are tricky, but you will be fine as long as you check your work! I am not really a math person; however, Mr. Koff made algebra really enjoyable. Good job Mr. Koff!

He is the best. His explanations are entertaining and extremely effective at explaining intricate ideas.His only grades are 5 tests and the final so it is up to you to practice and he will be more than fair with you.He gives review worksheets for the tests that contains the information he is looking for.He also gives bonus questions on the tests.

Mr.Koff was my favorite teacher. His was more than willing to help with anything. The class was very much open discussion with classmates so if you didnt understand what he was saying someone in the class was able to explain it in a way that you may understand better. He is such a good math teacher (and I HATE math) Tests are easy and I got an A in his class. He takes his time and makes sure everyone fully understands. He's not one of those math teachers that doesn't want to go over the lesson again.

He has been one of the best teacher I have ever had for math I personally have never been very good at it. Had him for math modeling. Even though I was late or absent a lot, he always had time to help. Very very good at explaining the subject and will repeat himself if you need it more than once. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

A good professor for math. He teaches in a manner you can understand and gives test reviews. However, his tests are somewhat tricky as the questions are worded differently than on the reviews. Make sure to do your homework and fully understand the material or you won't do well on tests. Overall one of the best at GPC. Always willing to help.

I took professor Koff for Calculus 1. He is a very good teacher, he explains the material clearly and goes step by step. I was going to be pleased with a C, but I he drops the lowest grade and replaces it with the final, so I ended up with a B!

Great Professor, best I've had! Grades only tests and final, drops lowest grade and substitutes final grade for it. Explains things very well. If you do the minimal homework he provides, the tests will be EASY...Nice guy over all. If there's space avail. in his class definitely take him!

Mister Koff is a superb teacher. He has been teaching for long enough to know how to teach all kinds of students well. He adjusts to the class and always helps individual students.

Mr. Koff is a great professor, there are about 5 test and he will replace you final test grade with your lowest test if higher. Class presentation and on a subject from the book and thats about it!

typical sub-par male math teacher. doesnt take time to explain math problem thoroughly. doesnt encourage students. i had a hard time in his class. he didnt encourage me. i took the class again with another teacher who made lesson plans and explained thoroughly and let students take notes. passed it and understoodit crystal clear.my friend liked him

Mr. Koff is very clear and understandable when he goes over the methods of solving problems. He does all of his homework out of the book, but he goes over it before starting the lesson each day. The homework is not mandatory but very helpful if you want to succeed. Great teacher! Pay attention and it's an easy A.

He is a nice person, explains well, solves homework problems BUT his tests are killers and his test reviews are Grade School supplementary level math problems. If you have signed up for his class then God save you coz you are already dead!

Prior to going into Calc1 the last math class that I attended was pre-college algebra where I received a C. By paying attention to his worked examples, and utilizing khan academy, I was able to get an A on all of the tests but one. If you work and re-work problems I believe that anyone can succeed in his class. 5 tests 75% 1 final 25%. Good class.

Best professor I've ever had at GPC. He really knows his math and it is rare he is ever wrong with a solution. He is playful but mindful which keeps the class both interesting and productive. You will really learn if you take his class. It helps to create a study group before the tests. 5 tests, one final, drops lowest test grade (except final.)

Don't listen to all these people saying his hard, they just lazy expecting to get A for doing nothing. He is a great professor and he always has time for his students. He would never get mad if you asking questions in class or his office. Make sure you do your HW and practice his review test over and over. If you put time into this class you would do great, but if only go to the review days and test days forget it about getting a good great. I took him for more than one time and I did great.

Best Math professor ever, he is great overall. Ask all the questions you want and he would always answer you in the best way. Has a great way of breaking down problems that way students can understand. He is awesome, you would not regret taking him. Do your HW and all the reviews and ask questions and you would get an A.

One of the best professors at GPC imo. Took him for precalc and did very well because of his teaching style. His classes are challenging, yet not difficult- just right for me. You will want to do the HW assigned in the textbook as he reviews the problems next class and answers questions. Test reviews are very similar in format to the actual test.

You won't regret taking this guy. If you're trying to get a decent understanding of calculus and trying to keep a good GPA, this is your guy. His tests are as easy as you make them. He does reviews, so as long as you study it, grasp the concept, you'll be fine.

He's a really good teacher, and knows what he's talking out. Hes a really fast grader, if you want to know your grades right away. He doesn't check homework,and there are no quizzes. If you come to class everyday, you don't even really have to buy the book. I didn't. The only bad thing is that if youre honors, there's a project I wasnt too fond of.

Mr. Koff is a pretty cool guy. His tests are very similar to his reviews, and although he does not check for HW, I'd highly recommend doing it. He goes over any questions you have before starting the lesson each day. Take him, he's great!

Great teacher. Pretty straightforward class, 4 tests that make 75% of the grade, final is 25%. Final takes the place of your lowest test grade if it's higher. He knows the subject and explains things very well. He is helpful when questions are asked. Overall, a solid math teacher, I highly recommend him.

Mr Koff is an amazing math teacher. Look its college, and its math, if you want to do good, apply yourself! He doesn't check H.W. or assign quizzes. I have a feeling all the idiots giving bad reviews probably didn't even do the H.W. This guy is a very good teacher, follow his advice, do H.W., ask questions, and he will show you the way.

I took his Precal course over the summer. He is an excellent teacher; very helpful and understanding. His tests were mostly easy (some were multiple choice!), although I suspect he dumbed it down a little for the summer semester. For someone who isn't crazy about math, he is a godsend. I'm planning on taking him again for Calc 1.

I thought this class was going to be a nice class, he wants us to study his study guide and the tests have nothing to do with it. He scans through the chapters very quickly. If you need extra help from Math, he's not the one.

He does not assign homework or quizzes on Webassign-- which was a relief. I would recommend taking his class. Math was not my strong subject, but I ended up with a A. Great teacher!

I loved Koff. I do think that you need a strong foundation in math to succeed in this class. We had five test, a final, and a project (math paper). He is willing to help you during his office hours however he is strict about them. No extra credit. Our lowest test grade was dropped and replaced with your final grade.

He is nice teacher, all you have to do is attend his class… finish all assignments then the tests are easy ... ask him anything you didn't understand.

Literally just show up and you're good. You don't even need to do his assignments but it's for your own good if you do. He gives you a test review the class before the test and that is exactly what's going to be on the test. He makes sure everyone in class understands before he moves on. He uses the most basic things to pass his message. Do take!

Professor Koff has the ability to break down the lecture so whatever was being taught was understandable. He took time before class to answer questions from the hw further clarifying the material. Even if you still do not understand the material he is there during office hours and is more than willing to walk you through the steps.
