What a horrible professor this jerk is. He tells students with questions during class to put their hands down, and grades papers as if they are all thesis papers for a Ph. D. He's also a big nerd, which is besides the point.

Hes a terrible professor I cant belive he is alowed in this institution. He thinks all his students want to be writters. He thinks you are born with every skill you need, he wont help anyone, and he willl always find something wrong in your essay, no matter who you are.

Well in short words, you will regret having him. Hes crazy, and you will definatlly get a C or less, he wants you to be a professional writer. Its obvios he hates his life and wants to take out on the world. Please do yourself a favor and dont waste your money.

This person does not deserve the title of "Teacher" being he has no ability to teach. He is negative, arrrogant and unprofessional. Call the head of the Enc department to complain about him. We all lose our money when we have to drop classes due to incompetent instructors.

This calss was very hard. I had allof my papers checked by an enc professor at nova and she said they should be A papers i never had anything above a D in his class. this teacher is to harsh on ENC1101 students. He has no respect for anyone.

Besides his poor fashion (ie, brown pants+purple tie=NOT sexy), he's one of the worst bug-eyed little men at BCC. Perhaps recovering from his failed writing career (dont bring it up if u know whats good 4 u), he spends his days failing kids for unfair reasons, like, my case in point, i got str8 As on all my essays and was failed because of TARDIES!

DO NOT take this prof. for AML!! Its his 1st term teaching w/out ANY background on this subject. If ur interested in AML take it w/ Eunice Hargett, she's an EXCELLENT Prof. (won Prof of the Year), has lots of knowledge on the subeject, easy, fun class... take it in downtown- its worth the drive if u want to learn and gain new perspectives!

Dr.Koppleman would most likely fail his own family.DO NOT TAKE HIM IF: you hate writing essays (because the class is solely based on that and you have no final but a bug research paper due at the end). In this case writing was not my problem, I love writing, but he grades HORRIBLY! It is true he is Unorganized and Confusing.Save your money!

This professor is by far the worst and most uninteresting that I've had in my entire career here at BC. He's a complete and total joke for a teacher. It's not an easy A, unless of course you are willing to trade "favors" for better grades.I somehow received a B in the class even though I had all A's on assignments and there was no final. No sense.

This teacher has an arbitrary grading system. He assigns letters and check marks with no point system. 30% of determining grade was left up to "attendance" and "participation" neither of which have any point value. Basically he just decides what grade you deserve and assigns it within 3 letter grades of what you actually earned on essays and tests

The WORST teacher I have ever had to deal with. I have no idea how he still has a job. DO NOT TAKE HIM. I always earned A's in English classes during high school and I got an A in ENC 1102. So tell me how it was possible I kept receiving D's on my essays? I finally stayed after class one day to talk to him about it and he was a total creep!

He will grade your work based on the mood he is in and how much he likes you. He sucks at teaching, and spends most of the class talking about how he wishes someone will realize how great his book is. He also plays favorites like it's still elementary school.

I love English but hated with this teacher. He assigns useless and mind-numbing assignment from a book he wrote which is stupid! He grades hard and answers your questions with questions, the class is super boring and the teacher thinks he's so superior and funny, NOT EVEN CLOSE! Find another teacher !

He's a nice person over all but isn't cut out for teaching ENC1101. To strict on essay corrections and doesn't explain well. Wouldnt take him if you are frequently late by a minute or more

I truly regret taking this man, especially at 6 AM! His grading sucks and hes all hung up on punctuality so don't dare walk into class 30 seconds late. The class is not THAT hard but he cannot teach AT ALL! Homework is dumb and unnecessary. NOT recommended at all. TRUST ME !

Koppelman was the worst professor. He did not clearly answer questions if he decided to respond. He assigned homework that we never discussed even after grading. Although he has a doctorate, he clearly was not the smartest person in the class. I learned nothing in his class and to top it all off, the text book we used was full of mistakes.

All he does is coughs. We didn't learn much because he's too busy coughing and by the third word he's choking and has to step out in the hallway.

Do not take this class, point blank period. He coughs more than he teaches, useless homework is assigned, and he is the least bit of interesting. I passed because i managed to do all of his work how he likes it.

Professor Koppleman has to be by far the most disappointing teachers I have ever had. He seems to know a lot about the subject but clearly is not capable of teaching it. He is very rude, self-centered, and often makes the class uncomfortable. He says hes willing to help but when asked is extremely short with his assistance. Don't Take him!!!!!!

I've taken ENC1102 at BC Central with a different teacher and it really showed me how unnecessarily difficult Dr. Koppelman makes the couse. If your homework isn't stapled or if you're late, he won't accept your work. He gives so many long and tedious assignments (a 2000 word essay for example) and spends a lot of time talking about himself.

Too many papers. Doesn't teach anything. He says he is willing to help, but when asked for help he looks down on you. Grades you toughly on stuff he hasn't even taught you yet. No clear grading system, which makes the whole grade subjective to his liking. Would not recommend him at all.

The most unorganized office I've ever seen and it reflects his teaching ethics. Has no idea where any of his classes are, he repeats the same material and he feels that it's so enlightening to us. Required to buy his own book which I would say is for profit even though it's splattered with his personal life stories that serve no benefit to anyone.

Ahem, I'm one of the students that give up my pride to get a good grade in this class. THIS CLASS IS DUMB HARD WITH THE WAY HE'S GRADING. He expects too much from us. He thinks we are some professional writers. He doesn't teach anything, beside the materials we already learned in high school. He loves talking about his works in China as a professor

This teacher has a small brain. He does not understand and relate other people if you miss class more than 2 times or he will fail you no matter how hard you try. He usually talks about his works with slavery children in China. He is also going to be on medical leave next semester so I would advise to not take a person who has depression.

HORRIBLE! He always has extra seats in his class for a reason. He's rude, HIs teaching is terribly boring and don't be late because even if you're 5 minutes late, you'll receive a fat F for the course. If you end up taking him, god bless your soul.
