very cool and easy going professor. Not much work cept that you have 4 papers but he lets class go early and checks your rough drafts for you.

Very funny guy. Def take his class-learned a lot-not just about english-but about life. He is very opinionated and very helpful-he looks at all rough drafts and will help you with what he wants in a paper.

Little interaction. "Here's the topic...write". Then he leaves. Next period, you get back the paper, he writes instructions on the board, he lets you out early, you write. Nice, knowledgeable, helpful, just not much teaching or guidance. Good gr

He worked with me every class. Teaches in a laid back style, but stays and works one on one with whoever wants. He makes me write better in all my classes. Take this guy! I wish he taught 112!

I love this guy. i havent had a better english teacher. he's sarcastic,smart and just hilarious. i love his class and he really lets you do your own thing. i recommend him to everyone for eng 111. i wish he taught 112! he's great, i cant say enough wonderful things about him!

Mr. Kunzinger is a wonderful teacher. Take him your first semester b/c he will definitely prepare you for the rest of your stay at TCC. His class has a lot to offer. Your grade is based on 4 papers, which he will review before you turn them in. He will tell you what's wrong and how to fix it so yeah, it's an easy 'A' if it's all you're looking for

He's not always easy to understand, so he makes you work, but he's excellent! I've already learned so much. Whoever wrote "he's never there to teach" forgot he had pneumonia!! I don't know how well I'll do but I'm learning SO MUCH!! KT

this guy knows it stuff. He is not there to goof around.he comes to teach and for you to learn.like the other person said the class is based on 4 papers and some inclass essays.the papers he actually tells you whats wrong with it and you can show it to him to check as many times as you want until its an A. best teacher ive had.

He is an awesome teacher. It is very hard to NOT pass his class. Every paper you will turn he will read and tell you what he wants...so its a graunteed A. He isnt teaching 112 but if he was I would so take him agian

Very good instructor. I hate to criticize the easy A people, but jeez, it's English, not brain surgery. You can learn A LOT from him, and still get an A. He has a lot to teach and is very good at it. Take the class to learn, not to get an easy A.

Bob is a terrific teacher with a great sense of humor. He takes his craft seriously, and really wants each of his students to be the best that they can be. If you have the opportunity, DEFINITELY try to get into one of his classes - you'll learn more about writing than you thought possible! :-)

He is an awesome prof, you should definately try to take one of his courses. He is very interesting and is straight forward, and you will laugh al ot.

Great Teacher. Very Real. Straightforward and easy to understand. If you listen to what he says. Does everything in his notes you wil pass. He tells you how to do the paper step by step. He doesn't expect perfectness just rule aviding work. Take him and no other English teacher

Take this professor for all of your english courses. I spent the entire class laughing and learning at the same time. He makes the most boring course you will take through your education seem so fun. Of all my college courses this is the only one I looked forward to going to. I had so much fun in this class and because of that I made my A.

Mr. Kunzinger is a great teacher. I have learned more in this class than any other english class I have taken so far! He has a good sense of humor and class goes by fast!! He is a must take teacher!!

I thought he was a great english teacher. He Tells you exactly what he wants your papers to look like, so if you can follow directions you've got an A. People complaining about this guy just didn't apply themsevles during the semester. I would take his class again.

Ask for help and he'll help you. Don't show up for class and he'll drop you. He is awesome.

Mr. K is an awesome teacher. His class is fairly easy only if you pay attention and attend to class, but I don't think he takes attendance. Make sure when you do his assignments, follow the structure he gives you! He is a funny guy, but sometimes can be cruel. Overall he is a great professor. Take him you will not regret it!

I took Prof. Kunzinger for both 111 & 112. I enojyed his class, found him to be funny and learned a decent ammount. I liked that we didn't have to read lit. just write papers. He always e-mailed me back when I sent him a rough draft and he would allow students to fix papers for better grades. We often got out of class early :)

Great professor!

Great teacher. Not always great with returning e-mails, but he's very fun to take. He makes what would be a boring class exciting. Some may not care for his sarcasm and sense of humor but it's what made me take his class again!

Professor Kunzinger has a teaching style that has not only inspired confidence, by inspiration. Thanks to his influence, I now teach at the community college level. We need more professors willing to not only lecture, but to take an active role in their student's education and progress as he has done.

GREAT TEACHER! I bought the book but never used it. He teaches from what he knows. Take home tests , papers, and a presentatiion. Make sure you take notes because you will need important words to use on paper/tests. Very cool guy! take him!

He is very interesting. However, I sometimes get the impression that we are his "filler" class. Never has handouts or uses any kindof book, just kindof speaks from his butt. Very knowledgable, never gives homework, BUT his essay tests are hard.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! We had two take home tests, one paper, a music presentation, and instead of a second paper like what was on the syllabus we were able to go to a reading at the Jewish Mother. If we couldn't go we could do the paper. OR do both-one for extra credit. Always kept it interesting and I always looked forward to it. I loved this class!

Decent teacher overall. Very loose language, which is very unprofessional. Kind of thinks he's a cool guy, kind of ****y. Sometimes doesnt show up for class without warning. SLACK class though, get out early most times.

He actually stated once in class that he wasnt interested in our class, that the class kindof bored him. He spoke of what he'll teach in this class next sem which made me envious bc this was my only HUM course I can take and I wasted it on him. Out of the sem, he cancelled class (with virtually no notice) 4-5 times. I didnt like his testing syst

took him for english and 112 and loved him. i never was had any ability to write decent papers before taking his class. he made writing papers ten times easier for. he teaches you a system that i know i will use for the rest of my writing career. he made class fun too. tells great stories and makes you laugh alot. and you always get out early.

If you want an easy A take this class. We only had four papers and I completely boomed the second paper (F) and still got a B. He lets you out early almost every night and I hardly showed up to class. I turned in my last 2 papers early and did not even attend class. If you email him your rough draft he will tell you what needs to be corrected.

Prof. Kunzinger was my first college professor. I HATE! writing papers, but i got an A or B on everyone. He's very helpful and straight forward in telling what he expects. We got out of class early everyday. I would def. take him again.

This class was supposed to be survey of 20th century culture. It seemed more to be a survey of Russian and Croatian culture, which was very disappointing. Mr. Kunzinger's methods are very haphazard and not structured. I actually took this clas because of this website. Would not recommend this professor.

Short classes, rarely stayed longer than 30 minutes, and that included his crazy stories about his life. Doesn't respond quickly to emails so bring in your Rough Draft for him to read after class. Do not be afraid to ask questions, but don't ask anything stupid because he'll make fun of you. Overall easy teacher.

i suggest this class if youre just starting out or if your failed everyone else's class. he's an easy grader, classes are quite short, sometimes goes on these rants. has a lot of good advice. you can email your rough draft or bring it in. he'll tell it to you straight if something is really stupid or a good idea. i'm taking his 112 class.

This class was fun and interesting. We had 2 papers, 2 take home tests, and a music presentation. He makes the class fun, offers extra credit, and takes the students to the museum. This class is worth taking.

Easy and, more importantly, REALLY interesting. He has a ton of knowledge...about everything.

Pros- class is short & concise. doesn't take student's excuses or BS. Decent Instructor to take. Easy course over all. Cons- Quite slow replying to email. Schedules assignments on holidays when everything is closed. Cancels classes way too often, with & w/out any notice. not good idea to take if you're paying for the course w/ your money.

Super easy A. He's interesting and you only have to write 5 papers, he looks at your rough drafts as much as you want prior to turning them in. Great class for anyone who hates writing; he makes it easy. Usually lets class out early, too :) and he gives extra credit if you attend his readings. don't buy any textbooks because you won't use it, EVER.

I have had Mr. Kunzinger for three different humanities classes. I looked forward going to all of his classes and was always interested in what he was teaching. He's an awesome teacher and I recommend him to anyone!

Kunzinger is the easiest teacher ever. Barley ever had class, if we did it was easy. so many extra credit opportunities. if you get anything other than an A .. something is wrong.

Great for people interested in creative writing, though seasoned writers (like, published repeatedly in reputable places) won't get quite as much given that it is a 200-level class. His focus is non-fiction. Funny dude, brings in solid guest writers, helpful, entertaining. Always enjoyed going to class. Lets you out early quite frequently.

He is SO easy, wont keep you in class if he has nothing else to teach. classes are always short, he lets you pick your topics and he will help you with essays before turning it in. no excuse on failing the class. he makes class fun and interesting, absolutely takes his class!

by far the best teacher i have ever taken. Actually made me want to come to class. Very helpful with all papers, gave you the oppertunity to get an A very easily. Don't have to attend every class and actually responds to emails within 24 hours of you sending them.

I had him for Eng 111 and Humanities, he is such an interesting person and gives extra credit. Take him for english! You will regret taking anyone else!

Who would rate this teacher bad ? If you have any sort of common sense you can follow what he is saying.. actually enjoyed listening to him.. he compared the class to sitting back and drinking a beer (doesn't get much better then that )

If you don't listen to him, he gets impatient, but other than that, he's great. He doesn't care what you write about but moreso if you know HOW to do it. He'll even edit your papers before they are do if you choose to take him up on.

Total hottie. Go to his readings. Awesome writer.

He's very passionate about writing. Yet he understands completely that most people taking Eng 111 are not great writers, so he grades fairly easy. He gives 800-1500 word essays that you can choose whatever topic you want to write about. I really enjoyed his class and I will be taking him for the Spring 2013 semester Eng 112.

He is very nice but hard as well. He's really strict with grammar and editing your paper. So make sure you do it. If you're taking this class don't expect to get an A, unless you are actually putting the work into it.

Awesome teacher! Sarcastic and hysterical! The only scary thing was the in class essays but thanks to attending his readings I only had to do 1 of them. I would definitely take him again!

This guy is a piece of work! Thinks he's the only one that knows anything and everyone else is ignorant. Just sit there and smile an play his game like i did. so you'll get a fair grade. DO NOT challenge him because he knows it all or he will kick you out of class. Flip side,would've got a B but gave me an A. Extra credit if U attend his readings

I had him for both ENG 111 & ENG 112, hands down one of the best teachersprofessors I've ever had my entire life, he clearly explains through a process how to write and how to structure his papers and is very specific, as long as you go to class you won't have a problem passing this class! I passed both courses with high A's. Great Professor.

My first professor at TCC and two years later still my favorite.

It's all about creative writing and there is no grading of your work. Show up, turn in the short weekly writing assignments, make an effort and you get an A. There are no tests or quizzes. The assignments are not hard. It's all about making the effort and exploring your creative side. Fun class! Super Professor!

He's a really good English Professor. Not your usual "run-of-the-mill", "cut an dry" professor. He expects you to write in a creative fashion, and write whatever comes naturally to you. And thats great! You will go to a lot of readings, but thats ok. They are good means of seeking enlightenment if you've got some major writers block. Take him.

Be on time, keep your mouth shut unless you're called on to talk, and follow extremely simple instructions. Hilarious, loved the lectures we had.

Do not talk in class, he does not like it and will let you know. Is a great teacher and will ask for you to participate, just do not provide your own commentary. He is straight and to the point. He covers the topics for that day and when you are done you are done.

He is a funny guy, but if you don't have a little bit of tough skin and ready for someone to tell you like it is, then he's probably not the teacher for you. You are there to learn, therefore you show up to class, sit down, and listen. Speak when spoken to, pay attention to his lectures, and do the papers. Easy A, I would take him again.

He's clear as to what he's looking for on papers. Also, you can show him your rough drafts as many times as you want, so it's easy to get a good grade on your papers. He may seem harsh at times, but it was because he was trying to make argumentative topics for essays better, and I think it worked for many students. Overall, great class!

Mr. Kunzinger is an interesting prof, but honestly one of my best. If you respect him, he will respect you. Few papers, but they count more than ever. Ask him to look over them a few days before they're due and you'll get an A no problem. Crass humor, but he's amazing.

Mr. Kunzinger is an amazing professor. He's super simple and he doesn't ask much of you other than to be quiet in class and write your papers correctly.

This guy is great! He's a true New Yorker, for sure. Show up, listen, talk in class, understand he's been there and you haven't... and you'll love his classes! Also, he is active in the community and creates plenty of opportunities around TCC and Virginia Beach. We need more proactive professors like him. Thank you, Mr. Kunzinger!

Prof Kunzinger is a unique character. His viewpoint on anything and everything is something you'd wanna sit down and shut up to listen to. He is a bit of a tough grader but if you write clearly you should have no problem. I've recommended Professor K to all of my friends and they've all loved him. Attendance isn't mandatory but it's worth it.

Professor kunzinger was awesome I got an A in his class. He an on the fly kind of teacher, if you need him you can find him in his office. Very layed back. Don't make exscusses. Use the writing lab for revisions and ill get an A every time. Great teacher and I would so take again.
