Dr. Kutner is great! I took him for a couple courses and I really liked him. He has 3 exams and he gives study guides that are very helpful. He lets you choose between a presentation and a paper! He is funny and has a lot of interesting stories! He is very chill and nice! I recommend Dr. Kutner to anyone and everyone! Great guy!!!

Dr. Kutner satisfied my expectations of this course. He's very well prepared, clear, and enjoyable. I liked the way he taught this course, having students grade other students presentations instead. If you're not a presenter, don't worry you can write a paper (have fun with that). Notes are provided, so students are able to listen and absorb info.

is was definitely one of my favorite classes this semester and in psychology overall. all you have to do is email him and he send you the powerpoint lectures notes. pretty much, there are 4 exams and a presentation or paper. he gives out a study guide a week before the exam and everything on the study guide is on the exam. This was a enjoyable class, I would definitely recommend Dr. K! If you show up and pay attention, there is no reason to not be successful. There was a paper or presentation required, push yourself and do the presentation, I had an absolute blast completing and presenting it!

this class was fairly easy if you show up to lecture there is no reason you wont get all good grades on the tests. the tests are very straight forward. the study guide is almost exact to the test so look over the study guide. i really enjoyed this class it was fun and interesting

Easy class, 2 tests, you choose a paper or presentation, and then the final. Do the 3 study guides, and you'll get an A. Can't be absent more then 3 times. The class is suppose to be 3 hrs, but he always let us out an hour and a half in.

This class is an easy A/B. The grading was straightforward. I found the presentation(not the subject matter) of the course a bit dry and bland. There were times when I dreaded going a little bit because it was that dull. This could and should be an online class. Still, it was a good class and I would take it again. Dr. Kutner's a good person.

The information presented and the textbook are not easy, they are challenging. But Dr. Kutner organizes his lectures clearly and also provides relevant videos that are very helpful in understanding the course. He has great experience in the field, a great sense of humor and his classes are a real pleasure.

Attend the lectures, complete the study guides, and you will do well. The chapters are long and the reading requirements are demanding, but he does a great job of bringing it all together in his lectures. He is organized and charismatic. He also adds humor and tells stories of his former patients to make things interesting. Take his class!

Definitely one of my favorite classes and one of my favorite professors. Lectures can seem long if you take the 3hour class but they are never boring. He knows a lot and can explain things in 10 different ways until everyone understands. Fun class, DO TAKE.

This was such a good and interesting class. Your grade is based on the midterm, the final, and either a powerpoint presentation or a paper. I suggest the presentation. It is easy to get an A because he gives you very specific study guides for each test. I highly recommend this teacher!

i would highly recommend taking Dr. Kutner as your Psy 341 prof.. his class is an easy A.. he gives out study guides for midterm and finals and those are the ones on the exams. he'll post answers to the study guide online as well. u just need to attend his class, listen to his lectures and do either powerpoint presentation or paper.

This is a fun course! I looked at it more like a once per week conversation on psychology, not lecture. His study guides are direct questions he uses in exams so if you put a little time into it, you'll definitely get an A. The presentations are the best part! Even if you're super nervous and have a hard time speaking publicly, DO IT :)

This professor is great. For Abnormal Psych you HAVE TO READ THE BOOK! His exams are verbatim from the review. Also, I highly recommend to present in class on the topic you are given rather than write a paper. The class grades you and it is an easy A. Dr Kutner is very funny with a dry sense of humor. I've taken Dr Kutner twice and really like him. He's predictable. No matter which class you take, he lectures, expects you to attend class, assigns a paper/presentation (you pick which one you want to do) at the beginning of the semester that isn't due until the end of the semester, and he provides study guides prior to each exam.

Awesome professor - a little like listening to Ben Stein (Clear Eyes commercial from the 80s) but has a good sense of humor. You'll learn a lot from him and get a good laugh at the same time. 2 exams (he gives a study guide) and a paper OR a presentation (class graded!). I wrote a paper and scored an A+ ... I definitely recommend his class.

I really liked this class because not only did I actually learn a lot of interesting things, but if you do the study guide he gives and put effort to the presentation or paper, you should pretty much get an A! He's a cool guy and has a lot of psych experience. If you don't take him, you're missing out!

He was a good professor. I took the 3 hours class, and he kept it relatively interesting, with anecdotes, and videos. He also has an interesting past that he shares a bit of during class. you can tell he is interested in psych, but seems more interested in doing, not teaching. That is a plus in my book, because I would rather learn from a 'doer.'

Attendance is part of your grade so show up. Lectures are based off a basically 1 to 2 chapters a class and are powerpoint presented (which are available on dropbox). Professor Kutner is a very busy person from what I noticed in lecture, however he makes time to help you if you need! There were 2 exams (midterm and final) both he gave study guides for and your choice of a presentation (on a specific disordercondition) or an essay.... but again your choice! This is my 3rd class with Dr. Kutner and I would take more of his classes if I wasn't graduating. He's fair and gets to the point. Lectures can be long but he slips jokes in to keep it interesting. Dr. Kutner was an easy A if you attended lecture, and did the presentation and essay. The exams (only 2) were also very easy. Still, I do wish Dr. Kutner would have brought more enthusiasm to lectures and be more prepared for lecture (video links wouldn't work). This is the 2nd class I've taken w/ Dr. Kutner (PSY 469 + PSY 341). I definitely would take him again if he offered other courses. He knows his stuff! I love Dr. Kutner. I cannot stress that enough. His PSY 469 class consists of one presentation, one paper, and two tests. He gives a study guide on what the test is on. He's actually pretty funny as well. He's honestly one of my favorite professor, I think in the top two favorites. He's amazing, just take his class!!

If you're interested in forensic psychologist, then you definitely take his class. Dr. Kutner is not your traditional research guy, he actually has some real world experience in his field and you'll hear many of his personal anecdotes during lecture.

He is very funny and works as a psychologist in a treatment facility so he has great real-life examples and stories. Dr. Robert Kutner is by far the easiest, most lenient professor Ive taken at UNLV. He is an easy grader, with a midterm exam, a paper or presentation (your pick), and a final exam. He does provide you with a study guide with lots of helpful questions for both exams. He does count attendance points.

Theres a project you can choose a debate, paper, or PowerPoint based on a certain subject you pick by chance. No Hw or quizzes just the mid term and final and a project.

For this semester, it was half in person and half online. The first part was great with Prof. Kutner's thorough lectures and personal experience from his work. After COVID, it was just doing the other 2/3 assignments in the class for the course using the book. It was a great class and I wish it could've been in person. Just focus on 3 main grades!

great professor overall. i learned a lot from this class, it was very interesting and i would take it again.

Your grade is based on a midterm and finale, both 100 questions and a written response that counts as extra credit. You can also choose from a 1500 word paper to 15 minute presentation that will also count towards your grade. The exams are identical to the study guides and professor Kutner responds fairly quick. Overall, it is a easy class.

Dr. Kutner is an amazing professor and very knowledgeable about the topics covered in class. He is a tough grader and only has a midterm, term paper, and a final. He gives out a study guide a week before each exam for you to study. Whatever is on the study guides are the same questions (just different formats) on the exams.
