Awesome professor! Creative assignments and fun classes! They should all be like him! Definitely take his course, he's the best eng 101 professor at NCC.

He is an amazing teacher very helpful laid back. if you take his class and do the work you will receive a high grade.

Very friendly and helpful. Gives essays and projects that can be seen as fun to some. Likes to use photography in assignments. Gives ample time for papers. Uses the opinions of classmates as well as himself to aide correction and improvements on rough drafts, so final drafts are the best they can be. Generally grades papers on content and grammer.

very helpful with essays. gives random quizzes, drops the lowest grade, doesn't matter if the sentences are incomplete as long as you know the material.happy man loves to hear your thoughts.

Bob is the man, his 101 class will always be one my favorites for life. They guy is totally laid back, very helpful. Basically you can't fail his class unless you sit like a dead fish and do nothing. Dude will always help you improve your essays, you can't fail with this man, take his class you'll love it.

i love this mann! he's such a good teacher, definitely take a class of his if you can. he's very understanding and just into students expressing themselves in whatever ways they can. all creative writing about basically whatever you want. he's really really great.

A very good, effective teacher. I had to withdraw due to personal reasons but he's an awesome teacher who is laid back, assigns interesting work, and his course it quite easy if you show up and do the assignments he assigns.

He is a very very very great teacher! he loves to hear your own thoughts. I've learned a lot in his class. We did so much different yet interesting things! GREAT TEACHER!

Prof. Bob is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. His class is not your standard English class, but more involved on opinions. He gives great assignments and he has alot of energy when teaching. I would highly recommend his class. You'll have fun.

The class is easy just do the work youll get by fine the assignments arent that bad and bob himself is a cool dude just do the stuff you gotta do and youll get by fine

Probably the best professor I will ever have. He takes a great interest in all of his students and is willing to help any way he can. I always looked forward going to his classes as they were always interesting. My only complaint is you will most likely not get the grade you deserve at the end of the semester.

professor lazaroff is the man! he is sooo cool and interesting. he actually takes the time to get to know his students on a personal level and makes class fun. i took 101 with him and now i am takin mystery and detective fiction with lazaroff. both classes r awesome, but he is great anyway!

I love him. There needs to be more teacher like him @ nassau or any school. He allows you to get to know your classmates and is extremely helpful. He gives the funnest assignments in class too. He'll let you know how you're doing in the middle of the term. I loveee him :)

Okay so this is how it is if you'r lazy thank don't take him. he give homeworks and if you do it that is an easy A. he is very helping and a great man i really like how he teaches. the great thing is out of the box thinking

If you did every homework that was given than he will give you what you earn, my advice to anyone that is in his class is do your homework, and he did mark what went wrong on your papers had they been handed in ontime lets take the blame for your own actions.On a scale from one to ten i gave him a twenty

One thing that i can't stand is when someone does not do their homework or dosen't put whole heart in their work. How dear anyone give this man a bad review. The only way that you can fail is if you don't do you low stakes writing, which is an easy A in it self. Don't blame him cause you're lazy. The low stakes in 300 words answer two questios

What my other class mates are saying is completely false. For one thing if you hand in your ruff drafts in the day the final paper is due, than not he not going to tell you what was wrong you're late. one thing that kills me is how lazy some people was, and the whole point of reading out loud is so that our class mate can get the era of our ways.

Professor Lazaroff is a great! got an A. If you do all your assigements and participate you'll do just fine.

I had Bob for the ENG Brush up course! Awesome guy! Gave us doughnuts two times in a row. He really helped me and everyone get better at writing. I passed the course, learned more about English AND liked English better. I wish he was teaching English 101 because I would take it in a second with him! He really goes out of his way for his students.

Professor Lazaroff is a great fun and cool professor. He kinda gives alot of work but its almost fun in a way. He makes the most out of everyclass you have with him and I would recommend him to anyone with even no interest in english

This class was great! prof lazaroff is very cool and knows how to make class interesting and fun. As long as you do the work you will be fine. He chooses great readings. I became a better writer in his class.

lets put it this way to be clear if you are there just for a grade you will get nowhere. he is in the class to teach. I took his film class he is not there for grammar that was 101 and 102 and the writing lab. if you are lazy dont take his class go to a lazy teacher who doesnt care.

Seriously, the nicest guy in the world! He cares about his students so much and tries to help everyone as much as he can! The work he gives is not boring at all! We had essays this semester and easy "low stakes writing" that can really boost up your grade. He is fair and fun! I really recommend taking him for english, he is a great guy!

Great and fun professor. I wasn't a fan of English class until i had him for a professor. Taught very interesting and original lectures. Wish I had taken him sooner. Gives quizzes almost everyday but aren't difficult if you do the assigned reading. He's a fair grader and make sure you participate... it will help you in the end.

this professor was amazing . I had him for fall semester . He cares about his students and wants them to do well. you must pay attention in class . he is very straight foward . You should make sure to get the book you will need it . hes always willing to work with you .

Professor Lazaroff is an amazing Professor! He makes the semester interesting and fun! He is extremely understanding and attentive. He gives decent sized papers but It's a composition course so what would you expect. As long as you do the assignments you will get a good grade.

Really really really cool guy. Gives fun lectures and the work is easy. Only gripe I had was that he graded somewhat harshly on some papers. I got an A in the course but I didn't get all A's on the essays, when I probably deserved an A. Otherwise he's really chill and I recommend taking him

i am still in the middle of my semester with Prof. Lazaroff but easily the best teacher I had at NCC so far. He cares about his students and wants them to pass. Definitely goes the extra mile for the students so they understand the material. You can revise your essay if you were not happy. I look forward going to his class.

Best professor I've ever had. So funny and assigns essays with topics that students can actually enjoy writing about. Easy grader and makes his class very entertaining.

I am currently taking this professor for film and lit and he is awesome! Gives great feedback on papers, goes the extra mile to make sure the class is up to date with work, truly makes sure that the students are understanding the work. A lot of reading, but in class you watch movies. Seriously an amazing professor.

Awesome professor, however I am not sure why attendance was made mandatory in a college course . Honestly, what difference would of it of made as long as you do the projects/essays at home and hand them in on time? Either way, lots of reading. You are forced to purchase multiple books, but they are all available online for free. Interesting class.

Amazing, fun, inspirational professor. Really shows how he tries to make the learning environment fun and interactive. Lots of papers, but Its English... Had a great time in the class, he also gives great feedback, and plenty of opportunities to improve grades on papers.

Literally the most amazing teacher I've ever taken! He truly cares about his students and has such a strong passion for film! This class overall isn't hard, it's just very time consuming. Make sure you read and pay attention while watching the films in order to get a good grade for your papers! I had a lot of laughs and good memories in this class.

He is very chill but I feel like he gets into politics a little bit more then he should with showing readings that just arent good conversation points because there can be issues because of what we are living in right now and the BLM protests going on all around the world

Professor Lazaroff is a wonderful professor. He is always willing to help his students. You will have to do a lot of writing in this class but if your grade wasn't good on a paper, he will give you a chance to improve it. There are chances for extra credit as well. Participation is very important in class. I learned a lot wish I could take again.

He was really nice and understanding. He allowed us to re hand in essays. Did assign a lot of work but they were pretty interesting. Would definitely take again!

Professor Lazaroff is an immensely caring person, wants all of his students to succeed. When I came into his class I loved writing but my confidence was hurt by a bad experience with it. Not only did he boost my confidence back up, he gave me the courage to write stories I was afraid to. My love of writing has been restored thanks to him. Take him!

Outstanding professor. One of the best at NCC! An Intelligent and down to Earth human. Clear grading criteria, lets you rewrite papers if necessary, and will let you hand in past the due date (points off of course). A couple of papers throughout the semester with clear guidelines on how to get a good grade.

Professor Lazaroff is a very kind teacher. He cared a lot about every person and made the time to get to know everyone. He is very big on participation. I had a remote class and he literally begged the students to turn their cameras on every class so we could all be together. Every paper he assigns he thoroughly goes over and sets you up.

Cares a lot about the students and wants them to not only do their assignments but understand what they're doing. If you take his remote class all he asks is for students to respond to him. He lets you rewrite papers if you don't like your grade. Writing is encouraged and he has you writing in almost every class but most of it isn't graded.

He is AMAZING. Great personality and funny. I've taken many English classes before, and dreaded them all until now. This class was so interesting that it barely felt like work. We read and watch mystery/detective movies and stories, and write about them. I have always been a terrible writer and this class has helped my skills so so much. Highly rec

He was just an amazing professor. Very likable and can connect with his students easily. On top of that his favorite band is The Replacements so that is just a big plus.

I loved this professor. I wish I could have him for all my English classes I am required to take. He doesn't give out test but you are writing something that is usually due on Sundays. He is so easy going and usually the topics he gives out are easy to write about. Love him!!!!

hes not a bad teacher. charismatic, upbeat, and tries to get everyone to participate in discussions (yes he'll call on you randomly). work-wise you get papers/assignments due usually if not every sunday 11:59pm and gives classwork every day. If you're not a fan of writing essays then im praying for you honestly

He is one of the best professors I've ever met, he cares bout his students he helps with everything u need, I was bad at writing essays and understanding lectures but these classes helped he helped me a lot and I will appreciate this forever, the book is necessary so yes u have to buy it but other than that his classes are the best

He is very sweet and if you dont do well you have the chance to redeem your grade, he wants his students to pass. He really inspired me as a writer, I definitely recommend taking his course!

This guy was the best professor I've ever had by far. Actual excellence. No annoying 20 page papers, just nice relaxed essays due once every couple of weeks based on subjective matters- to actually test our writing capabilities. He saw great potential in me and it reflected in the grades I earned. He's the GOAT. Enjoy your retirement dude!
