You will learn a lot but it is hard. I've been told you should take anatomy and physiology first.
i don't like the way he taught the class. all you do is look over power point and take quizes and tests. i hated it and got a bad grade. it was really hard!
A lot of quizzes but he wanted to make sure we read the chapter before each class. If you read the chapter the quizzes were easy. The tests weren't that bad as long as you studied. It was a boring class, but he tried to make it somewhat fun.
grades too subjectively and strictly. expects the knowledge and work as if he were teaching a PhD program.
This professor is really really smart, but he sucks at teaching and does not try to help you out at all. If you do not understand then thats just too bad for you!
Freaken awesome!!!
He is wonderful teacher.
He is very smart, but doesn't know or care when his students have trouble understanding. He often makes remarks indicating that he thinks your questions are stupid. I will not take another class he teaches unless there is no other option.
It was a okay class.
Wonderful!! I could not have asked for a better instructor. The material is not that difficult to understand. His tests are awesome,no tricks! Take his class for P101!
This was the worst teacher I have ever had hands down. I worked so intensely hard to get such a poor grade. He does not care if you get it or not. He likes to feel as though he is the smartest guy in the room and makes you feel like you are a moron when you don't get something. I read the whole text book and I remember nothing.
Very funny guy! Wears socks that coordinate with the lecture. He's quite helpful and takes an interest in his students. He loves his job and is always lighthearted and humorous. Very nice guy.
This is a college course, so do you do need to keep up with the assigned reading. If you read the textbook and pay attention in class the class will be easy. Plus he gives a detailed study guide and a review day for each test! Very little homework and the homework he does give is super easy. Just read the book and you will do fine.
He was a very good professor that would always make an attempt to make material interesting. He probably spent countless hours finding web links and youtube videos to make stuff relateable. I would recommend his class, but be prepared to do some major flashcard studying (find a friend- seriously) before midterms/final.
I really like his class. He does his best to make what we learn apply to us, and he makes everyone laugh. His tests are hard, so study with a buddy, but they are passable. He is always asking if anyone has any questions, and if you take the class in LRC 107A, his office is right next door!
Great teacher, very funny guy. Class is hard though
I enjoyed this class but it is difficult. I recommend not purchasing an e-version of the text unless you enjoy reading 50 pdf pages a night. There are a lot of opportunities for extra credit and he does work with you... the tests are very hard. he does have really cool socks though and is very funny.
Not only does he drop three quizzes and 1 exam there is extra credit available in the 'web review'(very easy). The written work is graded RIDICULOUSLY. I turned the final essay in a week late and got an 85, and the effort i put forward deserved a 'D'. He's a nice guy who gives snacks and good grades to his students.
I took this class during the summer session and talk about packing it in! Prepare to work for your grade. Do the homework, read the book and use flash cards for test prep. His socks are funny, he posts his lectures online (great for exam prep) and he answers your questions!
AMAZING Professor!! He made my semester! He's hilarious and really knows about the subject. Is able to allow fun in the classroom while controlling the class and learning. Do the homework, come to class, study notes! Exams are pretty hard so study! Drops 2 homeworks and exams. I learned sooo much from him! He's great. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
AMAZING Professor!! He made my semester! He's very knowledge in the subject. Answers any question ha!Is able to allow fun in the classroom while controlling the class and learning.Do the homework, come to class, study notes! Exams are pretty hard so study! Drops 2 homeworks and exams. I learned sooo much from him! He's great. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
He is a great instructor with a quirky sense of humor. I wish he taught more classes. There are quizzes for each chapter are on blackboard (three lowest are dropped),four short papers (1 page each), and the lowest midterm is dropped as well. Notes allowed on exams.
This class is a breeze. Come to class, he does in class assignments that are easy (but the make ups are time consuming). Do the homework (not a lot, 8 total). Study from his power points and if you know those you will ace the tests, he doesn't put anything that is not on them on the tests. I got an A with minimal effort. He drops lowest test.
Great professor I really enjoyed his class! He has hw assignments no projects no papers and the tests are scratch offs (multiple choice scratch your answer see if its right if not get a second chance for less points). And he drops the grades of your two lowest test and hw scores. I highly recommend this teacher and this class!!!!
You will WORK for your grade; show up, read, study, and ask questions! He's funny, has cool socks, and isn't boring! Great class, and great teacher.
Mandatory attendance, takes role every single class. Boringggg lectures. The exams are very hard to say the least. Much of the info is ONLY found in the lectures. A study guide is given but is extremely lengthy and the test always includes more than the study guide.
Hard class but not too bad if you pay attention and READ. This class is so interesting and I'm really glad I took it, I learned so much from this professor. He is definitely a great teacher and really nice!
I loved this class! Very informative. As long as you take notes from the lectures you're golden bc his test questions are directly from his powerpoints and from the text, plus you can have a page of notes when you take them. He also has a review day before each test (there's four) which are very helpful. Overall great instructor. Love his socks! ;)
I took the lecture last semester, and the lab this semester. I LOVE this professor/class. He really does care about his students, he wrote me a recommendation letter for UCB in a days notice. He is quirky and gives treats, and has the BEST sarcastic sense of humor. Those who say he is being rude/doesn't care probably just don't get his humor. Shame
He's a boss.
He's HILARIOUS!! His tests aren't hard at all. He gives you a study guide with questions who's answers can be found on lecture notes HE GIVES YOU IN CLASS and you can make a double sided TYPED cheat sheet for ever test!! Only 4 tests and none are cumulative. He's an awesome teacher and made Bio-Psych interesting. Take his class!!
This guy is great. Had his lab and lecture this term. Lets you use notes on test. show up and do the work and it isn't hard to get a good grade.
Holy socks! Hard exams, but funny guy. Lectures all of class.. Can be interesting, but can also get really boring at times. There?s a quiz for each chapter, two website reviews, and a paper. Easy grader on the written stuff. I would recommend, just be prepared to put some time in for studying!
He has a great sense of humor! The class itself is extremely difficult if you have not taken a psych class prior to taking this class. Advice: Even when you think you've studied enough, study more!
What a great teacher. He made a hard subject comprehensible. Take him for BioPsych! You do have to work for your grade and study though.
Quirky, funny little guy. Great professor. Had him for biopsych, psych stats & experimental psych. Very clear, fair grader & it's obvious how much he wants us all to succeed.
Took him for BioPsych.Book is pricey. Not an easy A.It's all powerpoint. He posts them online, so don't freak out if he goes too fast.Weekly 5 question quizzes;if you read the chapters, you'll do fine.Make sure you study hard for the tests. There's a couple website reviews, and a paper.Very nice guy, and funny.Very helpful.Would take his class again!
You'll work for your grade. But if you attend class and read the chapters you'll get an easy A. Very funny guy and an overall great class. Looking forward to taking more classes with him.
It wasn't the easiest class, but as long as you read the chapters and study, you should be fine. There is a short quiz for every chapter, just read them. The tests are a little hard, but he gives study guides, so make sure you do them! They do help. Very nice guy, and funny too. I look forward to taking his other class!
The professor is knowledgable but not the best communicator, he is not clear on his grading, he lacks any interest, and its hard to sit through a semester of his class. He has his momements but they are few and far between. If you take this class take every quiz and exam so you aren't in for any surprises with your grade. Take this class if must.
Instructor has a (very) dry, witty humor. Quizzes are easy if you do the reading (even if you skim read it). Tests are thorough and tough, but are easily passed if you put in the time with the provided study guides. This class will be painful if you do not have a real interest in the subject.
Very, very smart man but not the best at teaching. If you do take this class, sit at the front if you can; otherwise, most of what he's saying will go over your head. I got an A but that's from writing detailed notes before the test. When you take your notes for the test, do it from the powerpoint slides over the book.
I went into this class a little blind and therefore had to work pretty hard. It is easy to know what he expects, no surprises there. I thought he was a very good teacher. Show up to class and take every test and quiz. Tests are harder than the quiz. I got a B in the class but I worked for it.
This teacher does not offer any extra credit at all. His tests are very difficult and the whole class average on them was always a very bad grade . This means that there is something wrong with the teacher, not the students! He makes you turn in a assignment ,take a test, and a quiz all on the same day. I would not reccomend him, he's like a robot.
Answers questions clearly, good sense of humor, explains topics thoroughly. Class requires a good deal of studying in order to be successful, but nothing excessive.
He is a great teacher. He has a strict no late work policy, but he drops your lowest exam and the lowest 3 quizzes. So it's a trade it. If you take him harass him constantly about what animal is on his socks. He does like to stay on topic, but when time allows he let the class joke around a bit. The textbook is fairly important I never studied for a test or even used the text book and I barely go a B. he also curves almost every exam.
He is a great teacher! All I did was take my own notes in class and make a study guide before the test and I got an A. The tests are easy because you get a front and back page of notes and it is based on the lecture. The book is needed though for the 5 question quizzes on each chapter, I just read the main ideas before the quiz and got 5/5 always
Professor Lennartz is a great teacher. The subject matter is difficult, but he makes an effort to help students succeed by offering in depth reviews, allowing notes on exams, and dropping some of your lowest scores. My only issue is that he goes through the lectures too quickly, but he posts the slides on canvas so you can review them at home too.
hes great!
I don't understand y this is even a class. There is a reason u cant use this class to transfer to Univ. Nice person, but exams r tough, most students barely pass, and the class is just boring. At times I felt like I was in grade school with how he taught. Didn't like, and I have a high gap!
Hard exams, attendance is mandatory. Quiz each week based on the reading, if u leave early, u get 0 for the quiz. Grades fair on assignments, but exams are awful. One small index card of notes allowed, but isn't enough. A full page would be better. I worked hard to just to pass and I made honors in every college class but this one.
Robert Lennartz makes psych fun. He's got a great since of humor & is very efficient at explaining what's going.
Interesting class, but his teaching style is so boring. Attendance, lecture, worksheet every day. There is always online homework which is the only thing you need the textbook for. Not too hard, 4 exams + "optional" final. Drops 3 lowest homework grades & lowest exam. Takes attendance right on time. 2 papers. Too much work for GE class.
Robert himself is a very fun teacher as he always tries to throw random jokes out. But, his tests are hard! He allows a page of cheat sheet but his tests are worded in the most weirdest way that you don't understand which direction it's asking for. Attendance is a must in this class as he gives a quiz every week and takes points off for absences.
This class was a challenge and the material is very dry. He's a tough teacher but organized. He tries to make it interesting but the subject is very dull. He is very helpful with the research paper as long as you just ask and you actually put effort into it. He is less inclined to help students he knows are not applying themselves.
Perhaps the fairest teacher i have had. You wont pass if you barely know the material, and if you do know the material getting an A is easy. He grades everything on time, there are online quizzes, and exam are tough if you do not bring a paper full of notes as he allows.
Great guy overall, easy lectures, group assignments for labs.
Some what easy. His homework is dull it is something that is not on the lectures. If it is it will be easy this is math but sometimes doesn't go over stuff. He has a hard time explain a question when asked by a student. Take him if you can learn on your own a little because all the points add up a bit. Not to hard. Work in order to pass.
Lennartz is the teacher that I have had that explains the least in the longest amount of time. He reads off of a Powerpoint, and answers questions by reciting the powerpoint back to you. There is plenty of homework, so don't worry about being bored where it comes to that. As with all math-related classes, you either need to be there or have read.
This is the funniest professor I've ever had. This guy LOVES his job. There's no extra credit or late homework and the exams are a huge part of your grad (65%) but he made bio psych very enjoyable. He really gets students and there's a lot of interaction in class so it would fly by. He's a really easy grader, but be sure to pay attention in class.
Horrible class.. every class and hmwk assignment is worth 100 points . But only 30% of your grade. All 5 exams are worth 70% of your entire grade. no cheat sheet. Only his own cheat sheet, which doesn't help. Lectures are dull. Nice guy but you know its bad when the medium score for the class is a D. No extra credit offered.
Funny teacher that definitely seems to love what he does. In class is pretty simple, A power point lecture accompanied by a worksheet. Homework is easypeez just takes a while. Easy A-Bs on his tests as long as you take plenty of notes from the textbook/power points.
great teacher. very organized.
The class (psych 142) wasn't too hard for me. He has one lecture a day and then you do a worksheet in class which he will help you on, he collects the worksheets before the test. The homework is online, but the program sucks (Aplia). Don't buy the book, I never used it. I recommend taking notes on the slides when you get home. Good overall.
Really funny!
Lennartz was amazing to take Biopsych with! The subject material is pretty complex but he's great at explaining it in detail. He allows quite a lot of opportunity for you to keep a good grade-- homework includes online open-note quizzes and a few super easy papers. He also allows you to bring some notes to the exams!!! He's hilarious and great.
There is a ton of material and he covers it all. His sense of humor is quirky and he is pretty fast paced. The reading isn't too big and the online section is pretty easy if you watch your spelling. But you learn a TON and he's pretty free with his points for in-class assignments. But if you want to cut class this is the wrong prof for you.
I took his class online and he grades fairly. Follow the syllabus and you will do fine. 5 exams, but he drops the lowest exam score. Weekly learning curve assignments online. No essays. He gives extra credit at the beginning of the semester. Weekly board discussions with 2 replies to other students.
This was a great class! Lennartz is funny and his lectures are usually easy to follow with the outline. He allows a full page of notes for the exams which is helpful. He also drops one of the four exams and three of the fourteen quizzes (online, from textbook chapters) as well as only requires three website reviews. Definitely recommend, take him!
Fun lectures. He included games and other activities requiring class participation which helped reinforce the concepts we were learning.
I liked this teacher a lot. I took his online class and at first I thought he assigned a ton of work, but each week is consistent. He sends weekly e mails to make sure everyone understands the assignment and drops low grades, which gives wiggle room. His study guides are identical to the exams. Make sure to read! Great class.
Nice and kind of funny, just seems to be a little judgmental.
I'm taking him online and he seems a little judgy, but overall if you don't do your work you're not going to pass. Lots of homework assigned weekly. FOLLOW THE SYLLABUS, makes sure you understand it clearly.
Currently in his class. He assigns weekly worksheets, discussions boards and assignments on launch pad. 5 exams. Straight forward with grading, do your work and pass. I would recommend to take this class!
My favorite professor I've ever had! I really do not do well in science if any kind do I went into this semester thinking this was going to be least favorite class, it turned out to me favorite! He's so funny and makes the class enjoyable. He drops an exam, 3 quizzes and a website review and allows a page of notes for exams
Quite a bit of reading but great material covered in the class. Online open book quizzes each week. Must study for the midterm. If you do the work each week, know the material, & study you'll do fine. Prof Lennartz gives very clear instructions each week and is extremely organized. He seems to be a very fair grader. You have to do the work though.
Great Professor - funny guy! Drops lowest 3 quiz grades, lowest test grade, and you only have to turn in 3 of 4 Website Reviews (600 word analysis of a website related to that unit). Online quizzes for each chapter. Only homework is quizzes, studying, and Website Reviews. In-class activities count for points, can only miss one a unit for fullcredit
Lennartz's teaching style is the best I've experienced at Sierra. He was always prepared with excellent lectures & always stayed on topic. His outlines, assignments, & study guides are well crafted & will definitely help you study for exams. He's a great prof who is always willing to clarify things. Attendance counts, & attending is worth it!
Quality statistics professor. Provides consistent lectures, outlines, worksheets, & study guides. He helps you work through problems step by step during class & offers office hours to help you prepare for exams. I found his worksheets to be way more helpful than the online Aplia homework & used them to study. Nice guy- Really enjoyed his class!
Super easy class! Took this class with Bio 6 and had no trouble at all to get a solid A in both. Show up and do the in class assignments (allows you to skip 1 for each exam). 4 exams but drops 1. Online Quizzes, drops 3, which you can find online. Only used book for quizzes. 1 page of notes for exams front and back. 4 papers, drops 1! Boring lec.
I took his online course for psychology and I highly recommend. You have discussions every week but they are easy & he gave me 100/100 each time. We had 4 exams and a final exam at the end, however he drops the lowest score. I tried to do well on the 4 exams so I could skip the final. Do the study guides and you'll ace the exams. Great teacher:)
DR. Lennartz gives you all of the tools to get an A in his class.
Good psych prof. He was clear in his expectations and so it was easier to get a good grade. Not the most exciting guy to listen to, but he can effectively lecture.
Love this class! Not too easy, not too hard, and pretty interesting as well. Really fair grader, drops 3 quizzes and 1 exam and allows a full page of notes for the exams. Also, he's pretty dang funny sometimes. Would take again.
The class itself is more difficult and requires lots of effort to grasp concepts. Professor Lennartz is great and very kind! Lectures sometimes go fast, so it is important to review the concepts. He also adds humor to lectures to make it less boring. Drops 3 of your lowest quizzes, and drops one of your worst test grades!
Very funny professor and teaches material well. The homework is through Aplia and is clear and helpful. I looked forward to this class every day :)
This class was mediocre. He drops a ton of assignments and your lowest exam grade (or you just don't take the final). You get an entire page front and back of notes for each exam, which earns you an extremely easy A. However, he is boring and often times a bit rude. He is quirky and very monotone, easy A if you're willing to sit through that.
Great professor!
The greatest teacher ever! He responds to emails so fast (usually 5 mins later or usually the day of). If you have any questions, he responds in a way that is very useful and helpful. The quizzes are unlimited tries and the learning curves are so easy! Always gives great feedback! Overall probably the best teacher I have ever had!
If you take this class online, there is an online textbook with homework on the textbook website. So many lectures with tons of information. Follow the study guides to get a decent score and make sure to include the examples from the slides. Only assigns extra credit for 1st test. Doesn't round your grade either. Grades tough on discussions.
Great professor! I took his online psychology class and his expectations were very clear. Several assignments are dropped and if you take the first four exams and do well there is no need to take the cumulative final (you can use that as one of your dropped scores). Do the work, do it well, and you will have a great result!
He makes you do the quizzes/reading before he gives the lecture on that subject. So you do most of the work by yourself. Lots of in class work that cant be made up. I spent the entire semester watching the kid in front of me do the head bobbing thing because he was falling asleep.
Really makes you work for your grade. Pretty sure I failed every test but got an A on everything else. Ooops
Great professor one of my favorites at Sierra College so far. His class is very manageable, interesting, and straightforward. As long as you do the required assignments, show up to class, and do the page of notes he allows, exams are not too tough (and he drops your lowest exam grade with 4 exams total).
Funny and caring! As long as you do your work and pay attention, the quizzes and exams aren't super hard. He makes the lectures a bit more fun with videos and jokes. However, sometimes I couldn't understand his explanations of some material and had to use YouTube videos to help me. Overall, though, he's a good professor and I recommend his class :)
I loved that his first exam was on the syllabus. It starts the class out right. He makes it so clear what is required of students. He is very organized and it was great! Helps to get in a rhythm right away. The content was awesome too. Very interesting info about things in our everyday lives. Even loved the online textbook! Take this guy!
This professor overall is nice and means well but refuses to work with you to improve your grade when you are struggling due to your class being moved online due to COVID 19. I tried many times to improve my grade and go to office hours to understand things better but he refused to help me improve my grade.
I took the professor for my online class, and I am fully satisfied. He dropped 1 exam with the worst score, and some other assignments with the lowest scores. There are 5 exams, so I did not submit last one because I had the perfect scores for the 4 exams. I had some difficulties with discussions, but all other assignments were done with 100%scores.
He is an AMAZING professor! His lessons were entertaining and clear, but dont have everything you need so be prepared to use a textbook. His required discussion questions are super helpful and his hw is structured so you can keep trying until you get an A. The workload is moderate, but nothing too intense especially since it is a big topic!
One of my favorite professors at Sierra. The material is very organized and structured. Very clear grading criteria and you know what is expected. Interesting and funny lectures. Easy A as long as you put in the time and effort. Truly cares about your success and explains material well. Highly recommended for online classes!
He is very detailed in his syllabus and sticks to it exactly; which I very much appreciated. The tests are 99% out of the lecture, and the exam study guides are a clear path to an A. The class is not hard per se, but it does require time and effort. He will give you feedback and drops quite a few assignment scores.
Absolutely love him, hes also very witty. Sends out emails every Monday morning so you know what to expect this week. Discussions are pretty easy as well as lecture activities. Quizzes are based on the lecture PowerPoint.
This class was exceptional. I learned a lot and instructions were really clear. Theres a lot of work every week but knowing exactly what to do makes it easier. The extra work makes you familiar with the material and it's always interesting. Grades were given promptly and work was consistent. Very communicative.
Professor Lennartz was overall a great professor. He has a total of five exam (including the final), he drops the grade of the lowest exam. So if you do well on the first four exams you do not need to take the final. There's weekly quizzes, homework, and discussion boards. Overall the workload isn't too bad.
Such an amazing professor, responds to your discussions with videos so they're pretty personal and he gives good feedback. Drops 5 discussion posts, 1 exam, and 5 quizzes. Kind of a work load but I definitely learned so much in this class. Highly recommend taking him!
He does a great job at making sure the points are getting across. Lots of PowerPoints to go with reading and learning activities. Honestly the class load can seem like a lot but it's not hard. And he drops certain projects if you do the bulk of them Gives clear easy to use study guides!
This class was fun. The study guides really help, fill them out and you'll get an easy A on the tests. He drops 6 out of 36 homework assignments, 5 out of 15 discussion boards, a few quizzes, and if you take the first 4 exams, no need to take the final. Good teacher.
This professor is so caring and awesome! His power-points are so easy to understand, and he gives great feedback. He just wants you to learn and pass his course. 5 stars!
Lectures are straightforward and he makes them fun/easy to engage with. Offers feedback on weekly discussions, drops your lowest test score, and is just a great teacher. I recommend his class.
By far the best class Ive ever taken at Sierra College. Ive never been good at math, but the way he teaches makes math so easy to understand. I wish all teachers were like him!
Easy A! If you're a responsible student, you'll easily get an A. He has these rules wherein he drops the lowest scores that you have. He also cracks some jokes which make the psych class even better.
He cracks jokes in his lectures but they are cheesy and there are so many lectures. He is a good teacher and he wants you to pass, but do not mistake this for a psychology class. It is a math class. Get your calculator ready!
Great professor. His lectures are actual useful and don't just repeat what was in the textbook, he injects humor into the lectures which is nice because statistics is pretty dry, and his grading criteria are extremely clear. He gives you a list of exactly what assignments are due and also drops some of your lowest scores, including an exam score!
He has an obsession with collecting socks and he shows them off during lectures, he cracks jokes while he talks, the coursework is good. Its a chapter quiz on a reading, like 2-4 hours of lectures a week split into like 15-20 min parts. There is discussion posts to do and some lecture activities that keep you engaged. Overall, a fantastic teacher.
He drops some assignments including an exam, which helps your grade a lot. He's super helpful with online classes and he responds to emails super fast. We used a text book so majority of the class was reading like 30 pages throughout the week, and his lectures would have 60 - 80 slides. He really cares about your grade as long as you put it work!
I enjoyed Professor Lennartz, his lectures are informative and he shows his goofy personality through it. One negative thing about him is the amount of work he assigns, I found this frustrating. Every week you have two worksheets, one to two problem sets of 12 questions online, and a discussion with required replies.
Taking a stats class online? Take this professor! He does amazing in explaining the concepts in the video lectures, has a very clear outline of the course, and really knows how to do an online course with is essential for stats. There's a lot of work though, so make sure your plan ahead and are diligent. He doesn't accept late work. Awesome class.
I took Stats and Biopsych with him and loved both. Getting an A is super easy as long as you complete the work. He provides thorough lectures and cares that his students do well. For exams, he allows a page of notes, and as long as those are written based on the study guide and powerpoints, you'll get an A. Also, class plays Jeopardy for test prep!
Professor Lennartz is extremely knowledgeable in his lectures so I highly recommend taking him in person. As well as make sure to take notes during lectures (everything he says will most likely be on exams). No extra credit but he does drop the lowest exam and lowest quiz. In addition, he allows a cheat sheet for exams. Overall, excellent professor
I have yet to have a professor as impressive as Prof. Lennartz. He is the whole package; extremely knowledgable about the course, witty, and respectful. Classes are always informative and he doesn't waste your time with busy-work. The material is heavy and the notes/quizzes required are pretty difficult, but he finds creative ways to teach.
Great professor, really good with answering questions.
I love Prof Lennarz. His lectures aren't overly long at all, and they always have silly jokes in them. His work is straightforward. He offers a preview of each lecture assignment and allows you to retake them as many times as you want. His discussion boards can be a bit tedious and require some brain power, but his feedback is always enlightening.
Lennartz has the potential to be an enjoyable teacher, he's organized. However, the homework assignments ask you to read an entire chapter of text book and watch hours of lecture videos along with 2 lecture activities, 1 quiz and discussion board all in 1 week. Exams come 4 times a semester and they're HARD and timed (given not nearly enough time!)
Professor Lennartz is in all a great professor. He is very knowledgeable, kind, fair, etc. It was a great class and quite easy, however there is tons of homework. I have had 6 assignments in one week and they are not short assignments. He does drop a few which is great! The other thing is, his lectures are very boring and can make you fall asleep.
Wonderful professor! lectures are funny and entertaining and quite short as well. Textbook is super optional. Assignments do lock after due date allows unlimited attempts on lecture assignments.
This was an online course, but Professor Lennartz is such a great lecturer! All of the lectures were clear and easy to follow. Not only that but he is also very humorous and up to date with his jokes! He's also great at giving feedback as he does so individually for our weekly discussion posts. Would definitely take him again!
Professor Lennartz was hilarious and informative. While I do think he had a specific way of explaining things that might not apply to everyone, he was a very good teacher.
I love Robert! This class made me fall more in love with my major and reignite my passion for psychology. He is very clear with his expectations and his lectures are both funny and easy to follow along. It is a lot of reading so just prioritize your time well. I 10/10 recommend him for in person or online, he also responds quickly to emails.
He actually made stats make sense! Amazing professor that provides really helpful feedback during class/assignments. Very clear and understandable slide shows for the lectures, and he even provides a summarized version online. I also really appreciated how he involves real world examples to break up all the math.
Professor Lennartz is great overall but the content and coursework can be extremely challenging. However, he makes up for the daunting lectures with humor and organization. Do not take this class if you do not have the time to read the text, watch the lectures, or if you think it will be a breeze.
I have a bias against math, so my review might not be entirely objective. However, I found Lennartz to be a great teacher. It's just that keeping up with the coursework while taking a full load of classes was quite challenging for me. I felt like I was doing well in the first part of the semester, but after spring break, I completely lost track.
I think his voice sounds like kermit the frog. This is a plus in my book. His special socks are wonderful. Very limited amount of homework outside of class. His syllabus/grading is pretty convenient because he drops the lowest scores on every assignment. My biggest complaint is that he moves through the slides too fast to write it down.
TAKE PROF. LENNARTZ! Best professor. I suck at math and aced this class! He is kind, helpful, and funny! Very responsive and helpful! Reached out frequently for help and it was alway great! Several exams, weekly discussions, and weekly worksheets and quizzes. Time intensive but doable! Great teacher! 10/10!!!!
I greatly enjoyed and appreciated professor Lennartz's course and teaching style. He is professional, organized, straightforward, and passionate about teaching psych. His grading of DB's could be nit-picky strict which was frustrating at times, I felt like I checked every box, but he'd dock 2 pts for something quite small. Other than that, great.
Professor Lennartz made stats engaging and approachable. Lectures were clear, and he used real-world examples to break down complex concepts. The workload was heavy, but unstuckstudy was a huge help for study prep. Overall, a challenging but worthwhile class.
Professor Lennartz is a fun and engaging professor. Class is lecture heavy, but he always made the slideshows humorous and easy to understand. Graded on 15 quizzes, 5 exams, and a handful of in-class activity worksheets. Average exam score is ~75%. He will stop and answer your questions, and working together with classmates is never discouraged.
Behavioral statistic was overall an easy class to manage, which is a lot coming from me since I typically don't do well with anything math related. He was really understanding and honestly funny, he makes sure to keep his lectures engaging by adding humor. Provides good feedback and makes it known you are okay to ask for help. Great Professor!
Not too difficult of a class. I would recommend this professor for a stats course.
I genuinely despise any sort of math. At all. I've never been good at it, never understood it, never liked it. That being said, I have never liked a math class as much as I liked this one. He made the lectures so engaging and easy to follow, his grading policy was fantastic, and he was very entertaining. I would recommend for people who hate math.
The lectures are pretty much useless and the exams are mostly on the textbook. He drops the lowest exam grade. There's a chapter quiz every week and the lowest 2 scores get dropped. He seems like a sweet person and is helpful when you're confused. He moves really fast through the chapters and you're expected to teach yourself.
He's a great instructor with a ton of knowledge. That being said, his class was exhausting. If you don't want to become a doctor or psychologist, he isn't for you. His material is not easy. You will have to memorize the textbook and watch every lecture to score highly. It is valuable material and he presents it well. I just didn't enjoy it.
Prof. Lennartz deserves a 6 as an overall rating here. Tailors lectures to be more understanding and VERY comical. Take notes during his lecture and ask questions if you don't understand. He cares about the success of his students and is lenient about attendance IF you communicate well in advance. Probably the best professor at Sierra.
Amazing professor, he makes lectures fun
