He is a great instructor! I got an A in his class. He tells you what you need to know and thats it. Is fair for most and tries to make class funny. He's a cutie.
He is an amazing teacher! I hate history but i got an A for Summer I. In his class was fun and enjoy to hear the lecture. Take the quiz and review bring them home to study, you will make an A. I would take HIST 1302 with him again this Summer II but he doesn't teach in HIST 1302!:(
Everyone hate history as i do but his class was enjoy. He gives you a review before the test which is every question, you have to find the answers. If u study then u will make an A in his class. Great instructor!
AWESOME TEACHER!!! Make class fun, expect a quiz every Friday on info covered that week-extremely easy by the way, those same questions will be on your test, word for word. There is NO way anyone can fail this class unless you don't go to class.OH!! gives ex credit for those who dont try. NO WAY TO FAIL THIS CLASS
I absolutely LOVED this class! I have never enjoyed History and I was expecting this class to be super boring, but he so good at grabbing your attention because you can tell that he is passionate about History. He makes the class really fun too. You have a quiz once per week but the questions are super easy and they are on the test word for word
He is a great teacher, makes learning fun and doesn't bore you with worthless details. He like to keep the students entertained with side comments that keeps his lectures from being boring. You do have to show up to class because every class is lecture and note taking. Can't fail his class if you simply show up!
By far one of the best classes I have ever taken. He makes history very interesting and entertaining.
He is extremely funny, interesting and helpful! I have no interest in History but I actually looked forward to going to his class! Grading policy is very fair. Highly recommend!
Highly recommended Professor. He truly has a passion for History. He gives weekly quiz' that come from your in class notes. He's very helpful, funny, good looking, and easy to get along with. I learned a lot from his class, and hope I can take his Hist. 1302 class too!
This is an A+++ teacher. Highly reccomended! He tells you what is on the test during lectures, the quizes he gives (which are easy)are the first 30 questions on each test word for word. You can't fail. He's funny and keeps you entertained. There is extra credit if you need it. Always willing to help or answer any questions. I don't like history, bu
He is passionate about History and the class is very interesting. He is very well organized so you understand exactly what you need to do to make a good grade. He is funny, kind, easy going and about one of the best professors you could have. Take his class you will be glad you did.
He is the best History professor you can get! Took him for both History classes. I made an A in both. You will be glad you took his class. You have to do the work for an A, but just go to class, if he sees you are working he will help you out. Get to class early, he reviews the test with students arriving early before the test.
Teacher is full of Awesomeness!! Make class interesting and enjoyable. Class has quizzes often but are quite easy if you attend class and take notes. Never really cared about history up now. My interest of History is quite HIGH :0) Love HISTORY!!! <3
TAKE THIS CLASS MR LITTLE IS THE BEST ! ! ! HE IS REALLY FUNNY! ATTENDANCE IS A PLUS! :)
Rob was a very neat guy. History is usually always boring but he makes it fun! He will help you out in any way that you need help. I will def be taking him if I have to take any class that he teaches!
Amazing teacher!!! He makes the class interesting. He makes jokes that are completely stupid but relevant to the section, which helped me pass. I didn't go half the time and still passed easy. Take this teacher!!!!!
He is very helpful but his class is not that easy. You will have to study and earn your grade.
This teacher is AMAZING!! took the mini Wintermester 15day class, a ton of work!!!! extremely important is taking notes all his questions were from notes in class, Text book was useless took it back. 2-3 chapters a day and alot of reading needed. The research section where you need to do alot of reading to target his 5 "Ws" AWESOME!by far the BEST!
Had professor Little for 15day winter term and he is AWESOME! I don't know how he covers EVERYTHING in such a short time but he does. NOTE TAKING AND ATTENDANCE IS CRUCIAL. VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT HISTORY.You have to work for your grade and HE WILL HELP EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. His jokes help you remember and his lectures are THE BOMB! Like hist, now!
Professor Little was an awesome teacher to have. You MUST attend class and print off the power points to get everything he says. He is very helpful with questions you might have and has a good sense of humor to keep you interested. I definitly recommend him.
Makes US History interesting! Great professor gave us a couple of extra credit opportunities that were very helpful. Notes and attendance will get you an easy B! Take him!
Amazing! Professor Little is so on top of his game with History. He made this "older" student whom had never enjoy'd History, take a second look at it. Don't miss a lecture, take GOOD notes and print out his PowerPoints (he gives them for a reason). Has great knowledge and loves to share, obviously he does what he was meant to do-"Teach History."
I took the MayMester course, but now I'm wishing I could have taken a semester with this prof! He is so passionate about history and the lectures were AMAZING...and that is coming from a student who has never been interested in history!
I loved this professor! I had him for maymester. The first day he sounded like he was going to be really tough but he loosened up and made it a lot easier than expected. I am not a history person at all and he kept me interested the whole time!Powerpoints are important!Itis important to be there because he says everything that will be on the exams.
He was a really great professor who's passion really showed. He didn't teach straight out of the book like so many other TCC professors do, so attendance is a must. That is okay, because his lectures are definitely worth attending.
He is a GREAT Teacher! Knows his History and he makes it interesting. He does take his class seriously so take notes an be on time. I learned so much and it was not hard to do.
Well, it was an ok class, he is a good teacher. I took him in the summer so it was little much harder for me at least. But if you are one of those people who take great notes, study hard, have a great memory, and love to write essays, this class is for you! Oh, and the essays you do on the test he gives you. at least 3 to 5 terms. So good luck!
Excellent professor! Took his class in the Summer...Yes, essays but easy. Very helpful. You will enjoy his lectures. Love his old school ways!
At first I thought "What have I gotten myself into, taking this during summer?" A 16 wk course shrunk down to 6 wks! A ton of note taking. The class was very interesting. So glad I took the course, but especially glad I had him for a teacher. Can't wait to take the next HIST class, just hope I can get him again!
Can't say enough about Professor Little. He is an awesome instructor! He makes his lectures interesting and lightens the mood throughout these with quirky historical stories. He has a knack for finding resemblances between actors and historical figures. Summer course: The essay part of the test requires that you actually know the material Take him!
Uses powerpoints for his lessons no book required (only if you miss class), must be able to take detailed notes, and attendance is mandatory. His tests are somewhat difficult he includes essay questions of a specific event must include details(about page long). Do not take if you have bad memory in remembering events for essay questions.
By far the best history prof. I have ever had. I do not like history, never have made a good grade or even finished a semester. But I made an A in his class. He tests over his ppts, his lectures are entertaining and just amazing. You HAVE to go to class. It does take some times getting use to his testing style but his class is worth it! TAKE HIM!!
Mr. Little is an amazing teacher by far, I did not do so good with my history courses the first time. But, I am glad Mr.Little taught because he is just a really GOOD teacher. I highly recommend him. I received a B in his wintermester course and I could not be happier. I just wish he taught other courses, cuz he's just the best of the best.
Vivid explanation of events, although could use more assignments. H only has exams and corrections. Allows lots of opportunity for sucess.
AWESOME!!! you wont regret it! and yes, you do have to take note, study BUT THIS IS COLLEGE! Glad I had him!!!
OMG! Rob was seriously one of the best instructors I've ever had!He makes you work for the A but if you take notes, listen and show up you'll pass and love it. his tests are a bit hard (essay questions) but if you have a rough draft of your essay before test day he'll tell you whats missing so you can improve. he does everything to help you pass
I took the friday class that was 3 hours long with Little. I hate history so wasnt too sure about taking the class. He is very clear and shows a true love for history. I was able to understand every event we went over throughout the semester... MAKE SURE YOU DO THE MAKE-UPS FOR EXAMS! they help alot. I definitely recommend this professor(:
I took him for a summer course. He is a great teacher, the class was simple 4 test, 5 discussions. Remind you this is a summer course so there was no extra credit but you could make up 1 test. honesty I made a D of all test but still pass the course. No book and the test was online so open notes. I recommend him to anyone.
Prof Little is the best teacher I have ever had, and I completely dislike history. I was genuinely pulled in to all his lectures, he has that much passion and knowledge. I wish he taught more classes. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN! Only test grades but you have plenty of opportunities for an A. You wont regret this class!
He is the BEST history professor out there. He is hilarious and makes class super enjoyable and I love him so much that I'm switching from T/TH to M/W just so I can take him for 1302. Online tests, discussion boards and lots of in class notes. Beginning of semester, he said no extra credit, yet he ended up giving AMPLE opportunities. TAKE HIM.
He was a great teacher, cracked jokes and told interesting stories about the people we were learning about. When you're taking this class, you need to take notes. LOTS OF NOTES. I brought a laptop which made it so much easier. Just takes notes and complete assignments on time.
What a great history teacher. I always struggle staying interested, but not in Prof. Little's class. He often cracks jokes, and gives you bits of history you don't see in the school books. Quizzes and tests are straight from notes. Disscussion board is the hardest thiing, and only because it requires research and educated thoughts.
Mr. Little's lectures are very clear and understandable. He also incorporates humor into his lectures. Great teacher!
Mr little is a fantastic teacher. He absolutely goes above and beyond to share his knowledge and experience of history with his class. I would reccomend MR lITTLE TO annybody that has to take history. He is more than willing to help with anything and is driven to have his students succeed. Extra credit is available. Claire Shields
I loved his class and I never wanted to miss it because he made history so fun! I use to hate history but after his class I can't stop researching now! He is hilarious and the interest that he draws into the lectures helps me remember it.
Excellent instructor! His lessons were well planed and he made the lectures interesting. He put time and effort into teaching and would come up with funny stories and sayings to help students remember the lessons. There were plenty if extra credit opportunities. He really went above and beyond to make classes interesting.
The class had enough assignments to make you read and understand the objectives. He's very lenient and understanding since I had lots of problems due to my bad internet. The only problem was he didn't reply to my emails right away.
I took him for 1301 and 1302 and was thoroughly impressed. He's hilarious and makes history fun every single class. The best academic decision I've made was taking Mr. Little no doubt.
If you love to read, and like history a lot take this class, THIS IS NOT AN EASY A. He does not round his grade up so say you have a 79.9 which is a C, that is your grade you get what you get. If you don't like History GET A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR IF YOU CAN! there are test, four discussion boards, and a but load of quizzes! Good luck!
this class was easy except for the tests. he does nt have any notes or power point to cover the material he tests on. you read a butt load of chapters and watch videos and take your own notes and the questions on the tests don't come from them! he only gives you 50 minutes for test. quizzes are from study guide I am lucky I get a B!
Excellent teacher. I took his class as a dual credit student. The book is not necessary. I printed out his power points and took notes from the lectures on them. He makes the lectures fun and informative. he makes his own power points so no boring text book power points. Easy class if you pay attention.
Had Professor Little my junior year of high school for the dual credit. He was strict compared to high school teachers. He kept me intrigued. Not hard. You can make an A, just read. I didn't read so I made a B. Had power points and interesting lectures that I could take notes from. Passed all tests. The short essays were hard if you didn't read.
Not an easy A. You do have to read a but load of chapters. Tests are not easy at all. Grades a little slow, but answers email fast. quizzes are 15 minutes long tests are 50 minutes long.
Amazing Teacher. Book is NOT needed. Print out power points and take notes. He makes the class fun. Show up for classes, quizzes online, final online, test online. BEST DECISION IVE MADE TAKING HIS CLASS.
I took this class online, and he had no power point or notes to study from. you read and watch videos and then he tests you on materials. you take your own notes, but have no idea if its right. he has nothing to help you study for what is necessary. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE if you don't like HISTORY. sounds like lecture is better
Do not take this class online unless you plan on spending all your time reading the entire History book. No power points or notes from his behalf. You are on your own with your book and videos. Very strict on his grading and complex about his topics. I passed the course but it took all my time!!!! Not a good online course
Professor Little makes History extremely interesting! He gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit and for success. You have to come to class and take notes because you'll need it for tests. Don't need a book, and he just keeps class interesting. Just make sure you do the work. Not a blow off class, but you'll like this one.
TAKE THIS CLASS! You won't regret it! Rob Little always keeps the class interesting. There is no homework. Maybe one or two major assignments, quizzes weekly, and tests. All easy if you're in class, taking notes. Not a boring teacher. Best teacher to take US history with.
He is very funny, and he is a speaker that keeps things very interesting. He does have a potty mouth, but it's not too bad. I loved his class, and all the tests and quizzes are online. There is a TON of extra credit, and he lets you retake two qiuzzes and one exam at the end.
Honestly one of the best professors I've ever gotten. I'm not a big fan of history but he made the class very enjoyable. Funny guy. The class is easy to pass if you show up and just simply do what you're supposed to do. Take notes or print the power points out, take the quizzes (all online) and just be there. He does a lot of extra credit as well!
One of my most favorite teachers I've had. He listens to what you have to say, and works with you. The way he teaches keeps you interested and entertained, even if you would normally fall asleep in history class. His jokes make you remember the course material easily. Another plus is that if you take his class you don't need to purchase a textbook.
This online class consumes my life. I have read almost the entire book, as this is the only way to study for the exams- which are VERY difficult! At first he only gave us 35 minutes for 50 MC questions. Ridiculous. I do not recommend taking this class with Professor Little online.
I'm a stay at home mom and I had my first baby the day this class started. The way this course was set up really helped me to manage my responsibilities. There are four deadlines and you are able to work ahead. If you like to read and watch videos, you will enjoy this class.
Super easy class and after it is over the content is easily remembered. He makes the boring content very interesting which makes the class go by super fast. All quizzes and tests are online but attendance is a MUST because all the answers are given in his lecture. Not very much time for test because he wants you to know info not look it up.
He an AWESOME Teacher. I explains it in such a way that you want to find out more. He enjoys what he is doing & it shows. BEST TEACHER EVER and I WILL be take the next class with him too.
Prof. Little is seriously so funny and always talks in an accent when he teaches. He doesn't require you to use the book but the lectures are note heavy so USE A COMPUTER!! He gives you tons of opportunities for points and at the end of the semester allows makeups! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
This teacher inspired me to become a history professor. He's so enthusiastic it rubs off. He does not just give away good grades. you must attend class cause there is no book and his test questions come directly from his lectures. awesome teacher!!
One of my favorite teachers of all time! He's SO funny!! The class is super easy, as long as you show up and take notes! "Lecture" is practically story time. Love love love his class!!
Just had me really interested in a subject I've never been interested in
This online class was not made to be easy. The tests are nothing like the quizzes. I pass every quiz but still manage to fail all the tests. DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. You have to watch videos and read chapters each week which can be easy but they do not prepare you for the test. NO study guide or outline telling you what to study.
Mr. Little is the best History teacher I have ever had. I will never forget how easy he made history. He tells you stories and tells jokes along the way, so its easy to stay interested. His tests come right from the notes. Definitely take notes with a computer or your hand will be sore. His classes fill up fast so don't wait. Best Teacher ever!!!!!
No textbook!! Everything comes from lectures Professor Little makes history interesting. I had his History 1301 and History 1302 class at the same time. Understanding and funny guy who really loves what he's teaching. Four tests. Three online including the final but timed, Midterm were you writing everything you know about 4 topics. BEST TEACHER!!
Great Teacher. Show up and you could receive extra credit. Funny and entertaining. Quizzes every week 5 questions super simple! Exams 2-3 (depending on class), based off of quizzes. quizzes and Exams questions are all from his lectures. One Mid-term just study and go to class and you'll pass! Also! No textbook! he provides free online resources!
DO NOT THIS CLASS ONLINE!!! Extremely tough tests and Mr. Little is a extremely tough grader! Instructor does not participate in online class at all!! No notes or PowerPoints given; students have no idea how to study for exams. The textbook used for this class is not good, either. This class has lowered my GPA.
Prof Little made history very interesting with his amazing lectures & slide! His quizzes and exams are based on his lectures (NO TEXTBOOK REQUIRED). He gave extra credit points on midterm exam (in class essay - not fun) & extra credit quizzes at the end of the semester, but he didn't tell the class until the semester was almost over. GREAT CLASS!!
Professor Little's test are EXTREMELY hard and detailed. If you didn't read the 150 pages he expects you to read in a week or so before the test, then you're pretty much screwed. Unless you have a super photographic memory and can remember every little detail in the book. I would highly suggest you not take this professor online. You will regret it
The text book was NOT required. If you show up you may receive extra credit! There was about 12-13 online quizzes, about 3 online exams and 1 in class midterm (make sure you study for that). The extra credit opportunities will be there so take advantage! Take notes and pay attention. Robert Little is a great instructor.
has videos that you must watch... tests are hard
I took his class online and his class is harder than it needs to be. DO NOT take his class online. He gives 3 online test and a journal paper to write. The tests are crazy hard, and he is a tough grader. Good Luck passing.
I took this class online. First this class seemed ok. There are 3 exams and one paper to do. Tests are 50 questions to answer in 45 min, many of the questions on the test are DETAILED, he expects SPECIFIC answers. This would be easy if you werent alone to read many chapters and see videos, with no test review or any input from the professor!!
Professor Little is by far my favorite. He makes history interesting and keeps me engaged throughout his lectures. He is hilarious and really has a passion and knowledge for history. Quizzes are super easy and online. If he could be my professor for every class I'd be the happiest person ever. Definitely take his class; you won't regret it!!!
All reading and watching youtube videos. Quizzes and exams are timed, quizzes are 20 minutes with 10 questions each and exams are 50 minutes with 50 questions each. One journal midterm paper, persuasive from historical facts. You are not allowed to use wiki or anything like it.
ATTENDANCE IS A MUST IN HIS CLASS. You take a lot of notes because all he does is talk with his powerpoints. You need the notes to do his quizzes and his test. His test are online which are 50 questions.
Highly enjoyed his class! His lectures are like story time. Makes you work for the grade but worth it. You need to show up and take notes, but that's part of being a college student.
Professor by far is the BEST HISTORY TEACHER I have ever had! Would take his class again in a heart beat!
Was a great History Professor. Really helped if you asked for it. Gave extra credit multiple times. There was a quiz every week but only 5 Q's. There were EC Quizzes with 10 Q's before the exam so a chance to get more points for that. It was an esay class if you showed up and did the work, basically.
Three online timed Tests including the Final, one in class midterm, and twelve online quizzes timed. My favorite professor I've taken all of his classes for Texas Hist you need the book but for Americans you don't. Gives tons of extra credit but you still need to work for your grade, come to class, take good notes. Best history professor at TCC.
He makes lectures bearable and interesting, but the only thing I really disliked was his Midterm ID, I dreaded it. Overall he's a good teacher. Really knows his stuff.
I took him last semester for HIST 1301 and I would def take him again. He is so funny and his lectures are never boring even though I had a 3 hour class every Friday. I def recommend him ! Pay attention in class and take notes, his quizzes and tests are all online and come from notes, there is no essay required in class just 3 tests and quizzes.
Loved taking both his history courses. I usually get bored with anything to do with history but he made the lectures very interesting. He's very clear about what he expects from you and if you simply participate and complete all the quizzes and test, you'll definitely pass. AMAZING TEACHER.
Favorite teacher I have ever had! He is so funny. I thought history would be boring but he made both 1301 and 1302 so interesting and fun! Every few minutes he will say something hilarious about any topic that we are on. He loves history which makes him a better teacher. 3 online exams and one online quiz per week. Very simple.
guess I'll be taking history AGAIN
Took him online and I would do it again! He gives extra credit and he is very clear on assignments... Overall great
One of the best teachers I have ever had. I have learned so much from Professor Little's lectures. He loves teaching and cares about his students success. If you take notes in class you will pass.
Super easy class, quiz after every chapter. Can find answers online. 1 midterm paper which requires outside sources. 15 Quizzes(20 minutes 10 questions) , 3 exams(50 questions 60 minutes) and 1 midterm.
Great class. Just study and take the midterm exam very seriously. Start it early, write example papers beforehand and study thoroughly the people and places you reference and how they relate to the topic. Save your quizes to study for tests. Ample quiz/test time, midterm time not so much.
amazing prof. he is hilarious and his lectures are like story time. he assigns online quizzes and are pretty easy. 5 in 20 minutes, his tests are also online they're about 50 questions (i think, i can't recall) and gives you a little less than an hour. only "hard" thing was the midterm ID.
Loved this professor!!! He made lecture interesting!!! As long as you go to class and take notes you should pass.
The professor only issued tests for all of our grades. Since it was an online course, there was of course no lecture. So you have to read five chapters (usually around 150 pages) and then take a test. His tests are not based on history. They are based on tiny details that wouldn't matter and that don't test your grasp on concepts or actual history.
I would not take this professor if you sent a good test taker. Gives you 45 minutes to take a 50 question test as well as only having 3 tests and a midterm paper making u your grade. Usually an A/B student and am currently failing his class. WOULD NOT TAKE AGAIN!!!
This was one of the hardest classes I took. I took it online and all it was is to read the chapters take a 50 question quiz on stuff that was irrelevant and the had a midterm paper to do. I seriously didn't learn anything in this class. Too much reading and not enough discussion about the chapters.
He used to be good but then he started giving all these crazy rules and taking points off every student if someone broke one of his rules. Yes, takes points off the entire class. His midterms are blank pages with topics that we have to develop and he expects 4 well-written essays in 1.20 hours. 1 quiz every week of 5 questions and the tests are 50.
ProctorU is required for this class. It is a service that monitors your webcam while you take the 4 exams given.
Amazing professor and great stories!
He's a hard professor ended up dropping. He seemed like a nice person just the exams were unbelievably hard. He also didn't really provide good study materials
gives one quiz a week ten questions on quizzes which sounds easy but he doesn't go over any of the questions as he says he does. you have to take extremely good notes and they still didn't help me very much. 5 questions on each quiz is from the book I read over the chapter and still missed those questions on almost every quiz. nice guy though.
quizzes nearly every weekend, all online. at first the textbook Q's and the lecture are together but then he splits them, & you have to search hard for answers. you take a ID Midterm & its kind of hard. all tests are online, you can print out quizzes, use them. he goes over everything but doesn't go completely in order. PPTs available. use quizlet!
Rob Little was the first history professor that made history a class I could pass. He does not intend to be an easy teacher; he intends to make history interesting, and it works. I laughed during tests remembering his stories. I wanted to take his class more than I needed, like watching a good movie over and over. Great professor that cares.
Makes history interesting; he's a no BS type. Weekly quiz over lecture + textbook - just print PPTs and take notes on them, then skim textbook. Tests are online based on weekly quizzes, and there's a midterm paper in class which he informs you of Day 1. He allows you to retake several things at the end of semester for a better grade. Low workload.
Prof. Little is nice and cares about the students but the class is difficult because he uses the PROCTORU service to test students. You have to make a separate account and have someone watch you through your camera on your pc and watch your screen while you test it makes me nervous and made my exam grades bad. You also pay if your late (10$)
This class is an easy A IF you stay on top of your reading. 1 chapter and quiz due each week, 4 Exams (4 chapters of info each), 1 mid-term essay. Videos & study guides provided for each chapter. Exams are closed-book, but if you take good notes and re-watch videos you should be okay.
Lecture heavy class, He's an awesome professor with clear exceptions and many ways to ear extra credit points! his lectures felt like story time(MUST ATTEND)! I wish I had taken him for my 1301 class as well. Gives 2 online quizzes a week (1 lecture 1 from chpt in book) 4 exams 1 is written, the rest are online multiple choice. loved his class!!
He is a nice guy and knows his stuff. The work load for his class will make you appreciate your college algebra class and english class way more. For his exams he only gives you 45 minutes to take a 50 question exam. That's less than a minute per question. Good luck!
One of the worst I've had so far. For an online class, 200 pages of reading for each test, then 50 questions of the most smallest details out of those pages. Oh, and uses proctor u. Emailing him with a concern is a waste of time, no teaching or concern that is noticeable, just a job and a paycheck.
Quizzes every week, 3 lecture exams and 3 reading exams which consist of 50 questions in 45 minutes, Midterm ID you must memorize 3 paragraphs of material for each of the 6 topics to come in & write in a blue book. Hope you can trust my opinion especially after these past two reviews when I say that you should NOT take this class.
He's a great prof, a tough grader but doesn't mean good grade is achievable. Gotta read the book and pay attention to the lectures but its totally worth it, because they are amazing.
Professor Little is AMAZING. There is a lot of reading in the class for reading exams, but if you don't procrastinate like I did the reading will be manageable. His lectures are hilarious, and he makes history interesting. Cares about his students. Highlights topics that will be on test. The midterm was an ID exam but he gave plenty of study tips.
AWESOME TEACHER!! I had actually taken History before this class and dropped it, simply because I hated it so much. I really enjoyed this class. Great teacher!
Test heavy and gives a midterm where you have to write 4 essays about random topics in the span of an hour and 20 minutes. Do not take.
I took professor Little's class over the summer and it was incredibly difficult. Although I made a great grade, don't take his online classes. In spite of that, he's a very nice guy, but don't take him online.
Professor Little is one of the best professor I had! He is well organized and tells you exactly what he is looking for. You MUST attend class. the test and quizzes are all from his lectures. He will let you record the class lectures, you just have to ask. 4 tests 3 are online 50 questions and one is a Id term essay . Makes class interesting! take!
If you show up and listen you will pass! All quizzes and test are online along with a written midterm. He gives you plenty of extra credit if you just listen and do them. It is a lot of lecture but he explains history in a fun way. He calls roll the beginning and end of each class so make sure you are there! All in all I loved this professor.
Didn't think it was possible to like history until Dr. Little! By far my favorite class and teacher thus far. He gets through his lectures efficiently but in the least boring way possible. Very knowledgeable and very hilarious. Do the work, on time, and it's an easy A. Textbook is free online. Wish every professor was like Professor Little.
Great instructor just take notes and you'll pass if you have issues he works with you if you take notes
Dr. Little is extremely lecture heavy, yet I feel that it was all unnecessary information (don't feel most of the info was needed for tests.) He takes attendance the second class starts and again when class is over to make sure you didn't leave early. Always went over class time and made me late to my next class everyday which is frustrating.
Great teacher but not because its easy, you have to go to every class and take a lot of notes, but he makes it as interesting as possible. Tests can be tough especially the midterm ID/4 essays, but he gives lots of retakes and extra credit
This was my 2nd time taking 1301 and I decided to take it with him. quizzes every week and the quiz questions are on the tests. Print powerpoints and terms and take extra notes in class and you will do fine. He loves what he does and makes history fun. I am currently taking him again for 1302.
I took him online and it was a insane amount of reading with out a study guide or any outline of what is important. On his quizzes you don't know what questions you got wrong or what the correct answers are to study over them again. He uses proctoru which is a pain since I have kids and why I'm taking it online to begin with. I had to drop.
Funny and cute
Very frustrating course when taken online. There are 4 chapters to cover each week, meaning about 200 pages of material (50 per chapter). Quizzes are taken as attendance, and you have one for each chapter you read. They are ridiculous. There are questions about things that don't matter or have no definitive answer. He does not provide answers.
I took his History 1301 class online and I have never had so many panic attacks in my life. It is a lot of reading (4 chapters per week, 50 pages per chapter) and quizzes (4 per week over each chapter). Some of the questions on the quizzes are either totally random or have no specific correct answer. Wouldn't recommend this class to my worst enemy.
Never take this man's summer online class. The reading material that you need for this class is confusing and hard to read. Quizzes and tests have random questions that are not specified in the "study material". He makes you test through a system called ProctorU where you have to pay for someone to watch you take your test. Don't even bother.
He makes you take a plagiarism course and get certified for taking it at the beginning of the course. This is for the response essays that are due weekly. He grades you on grammar and punctuation. I literally thought i was taking English all over again!! Horrible professor. The readings he gives do not go with the quizzes at all. DO NOT TAKE!!
Talks from beginning to end of class. Lectures are very boring and easy to lose track on what he's talking about. Difficult to study for tests if you don't listen in class. Not lots of info on the chapter powerpoints, had to google lots of terms on study guide. On first test, almost all of the 30 people in my class failed it. Wouldn't recommend.
115 terms on the study guide for our first exam, but only 39 questions on the exam. found out that all of his classes did not do well on the test. Powerpoints do not have a lot of information on them, and he talks non-stop for the entire time of the class. DO NOT miss class. Notes are everything.
There are almost no daily assignments, reviews and any other forms of information that is useful on the test. The class is long and drawn out, but rushed at the same time, Dr. Little doesn't give time for note taking to be done in an effective manner and doesn't emphasise important info either. Our last test distribution? A:0 B:0 C:2 D:5 F:25
Not a very good teacher. Talks to the beginning and til' the end of class then will hold up class by taking attendance. Majority of his class got F's (class averages were in the 40's) on his first exam, and instead of changing the way he teaches, he tells the class to put more effort in. Notes will help, but most of it will be useless.
Holy cow!!! Where do I begin... He is awful. Grades like you are attending harvard. Email going back and forth from all students and we all are basically failing. He grades papers weeks and weeks behind and gives NO feedback on how to fix it. If you want to fail, take his class.
If you can take this class online. His class is heavy boring lectures, and you only get 2 heavy tests with no review, also 20+ topics that you should know of, but only 4 comes in the test. and a Final test, so in total 3 tests the entire semester.
Really enjoy this class! Contrary to other reviews, he has college level expectations. He provides a study guide and all powerpoints. Encourages attendance and note-taking to be successful in class. Don't look for an easy A, but look to learn stuff you didn't know before.
This PhD professor has encyclopedic knowledge of the subject matter. He teaches in standard college-level lecture format. 3 credit course means good note taking. Very accessible, by email & in person. Very fair man. Opportunity for extra-credit. Easygoing and informative lectures, allows questions. One of the better professors out there. Enjoyable
The tests are 20 minutes for 20 questions. That is a little tough because I felt rushed during the test. Homework/Class work is normal. Response back to emails fast
He is a really good teacher. All you have to do to pass his class is pay attention and paraphrase what he says in your own way. That is how throughout the year i managed to pass his class. He has so much knowledge.
He is overdramatic for a history class, that is necessary for a AA in a community college. I can understand a 4 year university, I feel like I'm a history major. I wrote more eassy in his class than I have for any English class I've EVER TAKEN including HIGHSCHOOL. Beware of his final that uses Proctorio btw. So screen shot all the quizzes!
Professor Little is a very straight to the point, and you will know exactly what to expect on all tests and quiz's. There is no homework, only one online quiz a week. However, going to class is mandatory. ALL of his quiz/test questions come from his lectures and he lectures the entire 80 minutes. I'm taking him again for 1302!
I recommend everyone to NOT take this class for United States History! It is impossible to maintain a good grade on his class, take notes on every little detail and you'll pass. Attendance is important in this class.
Loved Professor Little! Super easy to pass as long as you pay attention and take good notes though the semester. Will be taking his class for 1302. No homework except for 1 quiz a week. Gave us many opportunities for extra credit.
Theres a quiz every week over what you learned in class and theres 3 exams and a final and extra credit is provided. If you have classes across campus you'll probably be late because he runs overtime. PowerPoints arent useful outside of the class room. Theres a little under 200 terms in the study guides focus on ones in your notes.
Everyday except test days there is lecture from beginning of class to end of class. Must take lots of notes but lectures are fairly interesting. He is pretty strict and does not respect interruptions or distracting behaviors. Wouldnt take him again but wasnt the worst class
If you love lectures, prepare to love this professor. He accurately answers all of your questions on the spot and is always open to discussion. I am taking him again for History 1302, and I can not wait. The class is formatted almost like he is telling you a story, and it is extremely interesting and engaging. Cant wait to take it in the fall!
Professor Little is by far my favorite professor thus far. And not because his class is easy, but because I actually learned history and enjoyed every second of his lectures. He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject, and answers all questions precisely. I can tell he truly loves history, and wants us to learn. Cant wait for History 1302.
Hilarious. Knowledgable. Passionate. 3 Tests (including final), 35 MC, 10 T/F, 10 Wordbank. 70% of tests are questions from weekly quizzes online (2 attempts) (3 extra credit quizzes - 10 pts each) You do not get exposed to all quiz questions. Focus on study guide (people and events). Take great notes! You will love him and enjoy his class!
I took History 1 with Cervantez, then I transitioned to Little for History 2. That was a big mistake. Our class was behind and we did not cover the whole material, we missed 2 powerpoints. Very unorganized. The lectures were rather boring, I could barely stay wide awake. I do not recommend anyone to take this professor for history classes.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! IF you are a person who has to take this class between shifts, kids and daily life. The midterm and final are administered by Proctorio. Which is the hardest proctors I have ever had to deal with. The professor did not respond and neither did the Proctor site. I wished I would've know before taking this class. Beware!!!!
You have to show up to class otherwise you will not get all of the information you will need and the powerpoints alone don't cover everything. The way he teaches makes the class go by very quickly though! I've never actually enjoyed a history class and I'm definitely thinking of taking more. He is one of my favorite teachers I have had so far
I loved Mr. Little's class. It was fun and he was always prepared. His tests are only hard if you skip class, don't take notes, or don't study. Other than that, he also has a great sense of humor!
Had Prof. Little for US History 1, and you must show up to class since he goes through Powerpoints not available on blackboard. Most of the information on quizzes and tests will come from him talking directly to the class. He cracks up jokes sometimes, and he gave us a chance to retake some quizzes on blackboard toward the end of the semester.
Professor Little has a very simple class layout. Couple of quizzes consisting of 5 questions each, then a 50 question test with 30 multiple choice, 10 True/False, and 10 Fill in the blanks. He is a genuinely funny teacher who keeps class interesting, and so long as you are listening to what he says, you will have no problems passing. He gives EC.
Tough grader especially with essays. If you are going to take him online, be ready to be doing homework every single day. He only opens assignments the day they are due and has stuff due literally back to back. When I say open when they are due. I mean literally you only have that day to due it. So no slacking.
The highest grade u can get is a 300 which is horrible. Not enough assignments were posted no extra credit don't take this class.
Highly dont suggest doing this class as a maymester class.
He is just horrible professor at NW campus.
As soon as the class starts he gets up and starts talking and he will not stop talking until the class is over. For me, that is how I learn and I found the class very easy. He is a storyteller kind of professor and it gets you interested in what he has to say. TAKE NOTES. The tests are his words, the powerpoints are just an outline. 3 Tests/quizzes
Oof. For this 5 week course, super lecture heavy. His lectures average about 7 hours a week. Most is 10.5 hours. Notes is a jumble mess if you're trying to follow along his powerpoint outline. Some information is wrong with some research. 2 tests (midterm and a final) with some quizzes. If you're new to college, or a busy person, I don't recommend.
He's Terrible
Do not recommend this professor! 450 points possible in the class and you need at least 315 to receive credit. No extra credit is given but does give 2 chances on the quizzes. Hard grader. Grades like he is a English 1301 professor. Lecture videos are almost 3/4 hours long. Test are worth 50 while journal/essay is worth 75? Doesnt make sense.
Terrible class. take someone else for an online course if you are doing this class soon
He''s an okay professor. His online lectures are super long and usually 3+ hours. However, they are helpful when taking tests and quizzes (2 tries for quizzes). He provided one extra credit quiz as well. We had two papers and grades really tough on those. Only wished he gave more assignments for a chance to increase my grade.
He was a great professor. I was always emailing him about questions and he got back to me in a good amount of time. Quizzes and homework were easy. Just make sure you study and take good notes for the exams.
He responds to every email in a short amount of time and makes sure you understand everything. Class is simple and very easy to pass. Just read and understand the topic. You will pass. He is funny and smart. You will not get bored in this history class.
This class is a joke. Mr. Little grades by a "point system," highest possible points being 500, get only 350 and that's a solid 70. He grades journals and discussion boards like a university English professor. His lecture videos are 3-8 hours long EACH. Unless you have so much time to spare and/or care about history, don't take this class.
This dude has literally given us 3 days and no longer to study for the midterm of the class, this seems doable but when you are taking ANY other classes who also have mid terms due its very much impossible. In my instance I have been screwed many times because I am taking a double load of classes and it takes 3/4 of my time away every week.
Do me a favor and do not take this class! His lecture videos are 3+ hours long EACH and is a VERY tough grader on essays. The tests are worth 50 points while discussion posts/journals are 75 points. His grading system does not make sense. If you are a very busy person try to find a different professor for this course.
Writing assignments are nuts- too many topics for one paper. LONG PPT lectures (2-4 hours) hard to hear at times, spends a LOT of time talking but not specific about what will be on tests. Tests are multiple choice, closed book, taken on Proctoro (you will be on camera the whole test) Very stressful course.
Horrible professor, first online lecture is 6hrs plus it was another 3hr video you have to finish after! Worst online class ever. The si sections suck Bc we werent able to go over a whole lot in 50 min DO NOT TAKE HIM
FYI: His lectures are 3.5- 6hrs long. But, I think he talks a little too slow so I played his lectures at 1.5 speed and I had enough time to take notes. His knowledge of the course was evident, and delivery was great.
Dr Little is a very kind-hearted soul. Yeah, his lectures are long 3-4 hour lecture videos but if you skip through and watch the videos you're still able to get the notes down, passing his exams 2 proctored exams were easy ones you studied and knew your info. He was always helpful and kind whenever I reached out for help. Would take him again.
Great teacher that will work with you. Lots and lots of notes. Easy if you rip the terms off of his study guides. I recommend that you take them on a computer. Good sense of humor and is very entertaining. He gives out a quiz every week over the material talked about in class and gives out 3 tests in total. Dr Little is a real one no cap.
Rob Little knows history very well. I appreciated that he is very woke when teaching us about it. He gives long lectures that take up the whole class, though he keeps it interesting in the way that he speaks, making things easy to understand. He's also pretty funny. Sorta feels like going to story time.
Took HIST 1301 and 1302 over the summer. Class consists of 1 quiz every week, 1 midterm and 1 final exam. His lecture videos are EXTREMELY long, 3-6 hours each. He has a very dull style of teaching so lectures are really boring. Overall content that he teaches is mediocre and largely opinion based. If you love history, don't take him.
Apart from the lectures being long and extremely dull (seriously, I had him on 2x speed every lecture), there was information he gave us in class that was incorrect. Not to mention there were questions on quizzes that weren't covered either in the lecture or in the assigned reading.
Professor Little utilized recorded lectures for my online class that I found to be great, if a little long. You absolutely need to be taking notes in the lecture and not listening in the background, I found the lectures to be much more useful than reading the book. Great feedback on discussion boards. Pace was tough, but this was an 8 week course.
Rob Little is very nice and funny. Lots of information that you need to know. His quizzes are fairly easy and he gives extra credit.
It's fairly easy once you get the hang of it as he does give you a term list that basically covers the entire course (it's sectioned by lecture which is sectioned by unit -- I literally would paste this into a text document and write my notes entirely off of that), an online textbook was offered, but I never used it and did fine
He is a heavy lecturer they are very entertaining and informative. Grades are mostly based on quizzes and tests, extra credit is offered every test.
He's cool just turn in your notes and quizzes on time.
I probably would not take his summer online class again, I would recommend taking it on campus. 3 lectures per week (each one 2 to 3 1/2 hours long). No extra credit. Quizzes were multiple choice, as well as exams.
Dr. Little was great! His lectures are very easy to follow, entertaining at times, and brings in current events to make it more relatable. My only critique would be that I would not take this class during a summer semester again. While the class itself was not difficult, the lectures are lengthy. But would take his class again without a doubt!
He was an amazing teacher who really knew his stuff. Attention in class was a must, though he did record his class sessions allowing you to observe them online. His test were brutal and required you to thoroughly study before hand. Overall great teacher who pushed you to learn in his class.
This class is all about notes, hand written not typed, and they are for a grade but as long as you complete the outlines he gives you will be fine. He posts the lectures on canvas if you happen to miss class, quiz's due at the end of every week over the notes, and it's only 5 questions. 3 major tests including the final, and lots of extra credit.
Fairly easy to take notes, and gives a notes-paper dedicated to the important questions on the exams. Although exams are difficult so prepare to utilize memorization studying.
Little was a very good professor, although the tests were a bit tough (be ready to memorize!) it was nice to have a test review in the lecture "notes". I'd recommend and would take again.
Rob Little is a fun and engaging professor. His lectures can be lengthy but he makes the material accessible. The study guides are super helpful - try pairing them with unstuckstudy for efficient exam prep. Overall, a solid history class.
If you skip class you will fall behind at least half a note outline and the beginning of a new one.
Dr Little was really great, he doesn't hesitate to help if needed. Enjoys teaching history and has a way of making you feel like you can visualize what he's teaching, i tried sighing up for history 1301 for next semester however he's all full. The next time i take my second history ill be looking for him as my professor.
Great lectures! Assignments, quizzes and exams were easy. Exams are taken at home with a webcam and lockdown browser. I am not a fan of history but his lectures made me pay attention and actually want to learn. Take this class if you want to pass and enjoy.
Professor Little was a pretty chill teacher. We had to print out our outlines and fill them in during the lecture for a grade but it wasn't so bad. The tests where kind of hard and you have to use Respondus and the lock down browser but overall it was a good class.
Far too many written assignments were due at the end of each week, and very reading-heavy. Exams are proctored. If you are taking online, don't expect to know ahead of time what assignments you have due at the end of each week, because he will remove and re-add assignments at will. If you have work or other classes, it'll be difficult to keep up.
Professor Little is strict and not flexible with deadlines. His exams are camera-monitored, and you can't use other materials. You must take lots of notes and study hard. He shares strong political views. It's a tough class, but he's a great professor if you're willing to work hard.
Professor little is kind and all we basically did was print out note outlines and fill in blanks while he gets up and lectures. He is somewhat strict about deadlines just because if he gives an extension to one student he has to give it to everyone else.
I really liked Prof Little! The HIST 1301 course is very lecture-heavy, but I loved the setup of the class. He provided note outlines for his lectures, which were very easy to follow and keep up with; it is just a lot of content. He also provided a study guide- a list of concepts we need to know for the test- which was also extremely helpful.
