Lunday has been a good teacher to have this semester. He is pretty laid back. Gives you plenty of time to finish assignments and is very straight forward in his assignments. He responds quickly to emails and keeps information updated frequently. I do recommend this teacher.

I took it online, assignments were easy/short. 3 essays, all easy to do when you take your time & TRY. His e-mail replies were quick and helpful. Take this class online b/c then you have a lot of time to do readings (and @ own pace). HW's due Sundays & so are papers. It's an easy A if you're willing to spend at least one day/week on homework.

His online class was pretty easy to pass with an A. All you have to do is post responses to the discussion board, write his essays (even if you are not very good) he will give you an A or B.

I took his class online and he was extremely helpful and was very quick to respond to your emails. You do have to do the readings because that is what your papers will be based on, the stories that you read. Highly recommended if you are not a fast reader or a good paper writer. He will help you.

I took him for American Lit. Failry easy if you do your work on time and keep up with the readings. There's HW every week based on the readings but they have to be 2-3 sentence answers. 3 essays but not hard at all, when u read the syllabus you're like huh? But he explains how-to and its so easy. I had a Tues-Th. class but we meet only on Tues.

I took Mr. Lunday's ENGL 1301 online and it was a breeze. My lowest grade in his course was a 90. No studying is required to pass this course. I would recommend him to anyone, any day.

Took him summer 2009. Easy class. Read, do the assignments, no tests, just essays and a 2,500 page Memoir Project. You work on the project throughout the semester, it's a great class. Easy A.

He was AMAZING and easy!! I didn't really care about reading and when I took his class I actually wanted to read! He makes you read a little section of a textbook and respond to a question about it. I didn't take a SINGLE TEST! There was an easy memoir due at the end, all you had to do was write about yourself! I would take 1302 but no more room :(

When you search your catalog for class, if you see his name, TAKE IT or it would be too late. Because his class's gone in an eye blind. He is rock, thoughtful, very informative, you will got like hundred mails from him during the course noticing about everything -> surely keep you in touch. Seriously, I don't find anything flaw from his class.

I just finished this class online and I took the mini 8 week term and made an A. It is alot of work, but it's not difficult. I do not consider myself to be a bookworm either. I work fulltime, have a baby, and i'm taking 3 classes so if I can do it anyone else can too.

I highly recommend this instructor. I took the 8-week online course and had no problem making an A. I will take his ENGL 1302 this fall. If you do all the assignments, discussions, and papers on time, I am sure he will great generously as he has with me. The final was a memoir project and not a big deal at all. This class is an easy A.

This online class was great. Typical week: Two reading assignments (3-8 pages) and two writing assignments over the reading (150 words), plus an enjoyable writing exercise. No tests, but a memoir project worked on throughout the class. Prof. Lunday responds quickly and is well organized. He also grades fairly.

Spring 2011 Online: AWESOME TEACHER, I aced the course, he truly believe in creative writing, he lets you run with some things, as long as it is an honest attempt. Take him!

I love this teacher. He is very straight forward. 3 reading assignments each week with one page responses on each, then one exercise each week that has to be one page. You do a memoir throughout, but if you do the work, you get the grade. I would take him for everything if I could!!

Wonderful professor, I truly enjoyed this class and it inspired me to write more. There are only about 1-2 creative exercises per week with some light reading, NO exams and a couple of reports. This class was horrible for me. 3 months of relentless, boring poetry. 2 multi-paragraph discussion topics every week + a 6 page research paper + a 2 page creative assignment. With a full time job and a full course load, I completely lost interest in the amount of writing necessary in this class.

No tests were given, just a long memoir paper with a total of 4 different due dates. LOTS of reading and writing which is to be expected from a Comp class. Writing is my worst ability and I got a 94 on the project. Dr. Lunday is also very helpful and I never waited for more than a day for an email response for any question that I had.

All instructions and work are online. 10 exercises, 4 writing workshops, 2 reports, and a chapbook to do. Lots of writing, but if you do the work then you'll get a good grade. His feedback is good and detailed! Love this professor and would take him again online or on campus.

For these weekly readings MAKE SURE you are answering the ?'s & NOT just summarizing, & MAKE SURE you have enough words(he will give 0's)!!! He gives plenty of easy extra credit. I took him online for the 8 week summer session. There is a lot of reading to be done but its not hard there was about 10 assignments in total most pretty easy except one which is a 2400 page paper(11pages) besides that the course if pretty easy and he is a nice professor will give you extra time for an assignment if you ask for it.

I took Mr. Lunday mini summer class online , since the class time is short the work is definitely condsed be prepared to definitely keep busy . The class goes exactly as the syllabus states, just do the work and submit on time. Definitely proofread or he will dedcut for very minor things. Overall I would take him again.

As my first summer semester I took ENGL to get it over with sooner. The class is easy, but was difficult for me because you have to read 3-4 chapters a week and write a 150 word discussion about it. If you need help getting your GPA up TAKE HIS CLASS!!!! Each week an assignment is due but it is easy as can get. You write in your own style or from the options that he gives you. ONLINE class that I decided to take, ENGL 2307. I recommend taking Creative Writing if you can. His prompts are always challenging in a GOOD WAY! Online he gives you the option to chose from different prompts, so you're never really stuck doing something you don't want to do because he let's you chose your own homework.

Best (English) teacher ever! He is very knowledgeable and grades on effort. He gives great feedback on how to improve your writing assignments (without penalizing your grade). Even if you get a bad grade - he will definitely help you out and give you chances to get better grades. I really enjoyed his class because he talks about beyond an Eng class

Hybrid class Mr. Lunday enjoys engaging with his students and teaching. We learned about Hamlet for the class and he teaches trying to help us with our assignments to improve. There is assignments to complete each week but he grades (basically) based on completion so you shouldnt stress too much if youre actually trying. BEST TEACHER EVER!

Mr. Lunday was a great professor for the Spring 2017 Composition course I took. There were reading and creative responses, due every week along with a piece to your memoir project due every other week. Read the directions he gives clearly you will be fine. If you don't, he will be prompt to remind you and take points off for what he's looking for.

Follow instructions, participate, and turn in your work in-time and you will make an A. Gives detailed and helpful feedback.

Try and you'll get a good grade. Feedback is great, really tries to bring out the best in you. Finds writers that match your style/interests to look to for inspiration. Assignments have variety of options, you choose what you like. Never had such an inspiring professor in an online course. Didn't think it was possible. Exceeded all expectations.

It's an easy poetry class. Doesn't judge you on what you write about, gives great feedback on what to include in your writing, that way you get more in touch with your poetry side. No textbook, No final either, however, I took it for Summer Online, so it could be different for the reg. semester. Overall, he was the best! :)

I took creative writing w/ Lunday, literally easiest class EVER! One week there is a reading assignment where you have a few articles to choose from and you summarize one in 3-4 sentences, and the next week you have to write a poem or short story. Each week alternates between those two assignment types and you receive a 100 as long as you do it!

Just finished a class focusing on memoirs. Required to read excerpts from 20+ memoirs and analyze writing styles. Loved the class and the professor. Easy to reach, responds quickly, clear grading outlines, and gives great feedback on submissions. Work is spaced out so that it's just enough without being overwhelming.

Prof. Lunday is a great lecturer, I took his class for Engl. 1301. All he require from his students is dedication. He response promptly, has a lucid grading outline and gives feedback on submissions. I took him online for English 1301 and 1302. He is a light grader when it comes to essays and you have discussion boards every week. All you have to do is answer the prompt for the discussion boards and you will get a 100 for them. He only had 3 big essays which are the memoirs. They are easy because you talk about yourself. So honestly I liked the structure of the class is great. No test at all. Just reading reports and exercises. For the reports, follow the directions and you will get a 100. For the exercises, actually put in some work because he will read over them and tell you his opinion and after that you respond to him and bam there's your 100. He's amazing.

I took him online but he has a very clear syllabus and gives you enough time to complete each paper. You have two papers every week based on the reading material. Three mini personal essays that will combine as one whole paper for the final. He gives feedback as to how you should write your paper and what he expects.

Great professor I took the online class not sure if he teaches face to face but you have assignments due every week. You can work at your own pace and finish early if you would like. Theres no test just assignments and a memoir you have to write and turn it in 3x with added words, then a final which is the memoir but revised.

Prof. Robert Lunday is all shades of awesome. I was concerned about this class because it is my first major online class. I was not sure of what I would take out of it but I am so glad I chose this lecturer. I have become a better writer.

This was a good class, you did work however it wasn't too extreme. Would absolutely take this course again.

Prof. Robert Lunday is a very easy going professor. I took his ENGL 1301. This is a straight (A) class if you are punctual and always submitting assignments early. One quick tip, never copy during the final exam because he is going to find out! Would definitely take his class again!

As long as you are trying, the lowest you will get on an assignment is a 70. I was able to pass this class with an A.

Dr. Lunday is an excellent professor! I learned a lot about the process of memoir writing. I took his 1301 class online. All you have to do is read two memoirs a week and write three 150-word posts. Work on your final paper throughout the class. Every week he gives his thoughts on the assignments/readings. Easy A

My favorite professor so far!!! Work was very easy.. and straight to the point. Only required one paper the whole semester. Ended with a high A!!! Hes very interesting as well.

One of the best english professors! Do yourself a favor and take him for creative writing. Very clear grading material and the only way to NOT get an A is by doing nothing. Super easy and super fun.

Took Professory Lunday for both ENGL I and ENGL II. He is an easy grader. I just finished taking him for Summer 8 week class. Gives great feedback. You must read and follow directions. Enjoyed both classes.

It is so easy to get an A in this class. But if you want to improve your writing skills, put in a little more effort, it's worth it as he provides the most detailed feedback you'd probably get in your college years. Very attentive, responsive, and kind. You need to purchase his textbook from the HCC library as it is a custom edition for this class.

I took him online for World Lit. He is a great professor. Hes a very fair grader. As long as you put effort in and follow his directions, you will likely get full credit. Theres a lot of reading but thats to-be-expected. Turn things in on time. There were weekly discussions, 2 papers and one was 2,300 words but this class is still an easy A.

Professor Lunday was by far the BEST English teacher anyone would wish to have!!!! being my first year in hcc he made me adapt easily without stress take him you wont regret.

Professor Lunday was one of the best teachers I have taken so far at HCC. There is not an abundance of homework. The hardest part was the bibliography which was 40% of your grade. As long as you do it and follow instructions it shouldnt be hard. I walked away with a 100 in the class.

Great writing professor who teaches the subject how it should be taught. Seems to be very passionate about being a writing teacher. The way that his class is designed is how every writing class should be. As long as you do all your assignments and try your best on both essays it should be a guaranteed A in the class. Highly recommend taking him.

Robert Lunday is the best inn English I took him for engl1 and 2 very nice make corrections give good grade because he knows you put in effort don't delay take him fast.

I loved Prof. Lunday's Creative Writing class. His lectures & feedback are thoughtful and insightful, and I appreciate that he lets you choose which exercises you want to do each week. As long as your assignments are submitted by the due date there's no reason you shouldn't pass his class.

Professor Lunday always gives the best feedback, through his class I was able to learn a lot about my writing style. We read Hamlet throughout the course which was amazing, we had discussions every week along with chapter questions leading up to our final essays. Professor Lunday will help you through every step of the way!

I am pleased to post that this is a very great professor. He gives great feedback to help your writing grow. I wished I found him sooner, I would have taken him for ENGL 1301 & 1302. I learned valuable lessons from him. It was impossible to not get a 100 in his creative writing class. If you need to turn in work late, just communicate with him.

Professor Robert Lunday is an amazing professor and I would highly recommend him for English 1302. I took his five week summer class and easily got an A. There is one essay you have to do and we read Hamlet and had to answer at least one or two questions from Acts 1-3 and 4-5 so nothing too difficult. Just do the work and turn it in on time.

He does reply to emails and sends out weekly announcements at start of the week stating your HW. His class did push me to do a lot of work and write so many assignment. Great professor can go on for awhile on how good of a professor he is. If you have a chance to take him do it because he will teach you discipline and show you that if you try he will work with you.

I'm sad none of y'all will be able to take him because he's retiring from HCC. Anyways, Professor Lunday was the University level professor in Community College. I learned a great deal from him. I've never liked Hamlet before, but by the end of the semester I think there isn't any play better than Hamlet by Shakespeare, all credit to Prof. Lunday.
