Okay, everyone who got a bad grade will say negative things about Prof. Mardirosian, however; he is a wonderful professor with a great personality. He is very understanding but hates when you try to bargain your grade. You work hard, you get an A+.

Very knowledgable. Math is a subject that you must practice every day. You do not use, you loose. He explains it in a way you won't forget. That is what makes it cool.

Probably the best professor I have had. He is highly motivated, very positive, helpful, easy to understand and genuinely cares about his students. Some students mistake this for him being easy and take advantage of this by missing class and not paying attention to there own detriment.

I think Mardirosian is one of the best math professors at LACC. I just didn't do my homework and had to dropp his class. But I had no trouble understanding his lectures and I would take him again anytime. He gives somewhat hard tests, but if you study and do h.w. unlike me, you are sure to pass.

Hey Robert, scratch what I said below, teach 260 in the Winter 2006 (cuz too late for 260 for me in the fall). After that you gotta teach 261 in the Spring 2006. BTW Robert is the best math teacher ever.

He's a pretty good teacher but the online HW he gives us is really difficult to complete because it involves counting really small numbers and determining their frequency. Other than that it's an easy math class and everyone should take him as their teacher.

ROBERT is the one and only best math professor in Los Angeles City College. Without his help and support, I would be lost in MATH.

The best teacher LACC has ever had. if you don't pass his class than there is something really wrong with YOU, don't even think about taking it over with someone else,if you didn't pass the class with Martirossian, you will not pass it with anyone else. I have recently hada math 260 with prof Mardirosyan, he knows what he teaches , he also makes you love math,The easiest way to get A is to study , if u do so ,i am sure u will get a A, another good thign about him is that he doesnt care about attendance, but 'd better not miss his classes, couse he will teach u everything u need to get a good grade

Wow I wasnt expecting the grade that i recieved in this class "D". This teacher doesnt let you know where you stand so I took advantage of it and would slack off. His teaching method is incredible though! He is a GREAT teacher. I dont think I could go back in that class because I will look like a fool but if i could i will.

Mardirossian is a kick ass teacher! I'd recommend him for all you people who can't stand math like me. He breaks down math into easy steps and gives points for homework.

Robert is very flexible on grading. Most important is attendance and effort, he wants to see that you took the time to try your best. In general few people enjoy math and few will ever have to use anything above 105. His teaching method is the best I've seen in my life. What's hard is remembering the millions of steps to each problem. TAKE HIM

This teacher is awesome. He will work with you if you are not passing and always offers extra credit. Math bores me, but he is actully fun because he has a passion for it and he's funny. However he is not for you if you are slow to learn. Best to take a 114A and B. He is honest and fair. BTW he don't take attendance or tardies.

I suck at math,but his teaching is crystal clear for those who struggle w/math. You do have to study for the exams and practice in order to pass.I DO recommend him he is a good teacher and wants all his students to pass. If you don't pass him then you are the one w/the problem not him.

He actually makes math fun..He teaches until you get it..He is also willing to help you if you need to go over something you have trouble understanding..I am still so amazed at how fast I am learning, but it is all thanks to him because he is a great teacher...He is easy to understand, generous with extra credit and a fair grader..He is Sexy too!

A good professor but I would not say GREAT. He is clear in lectures and grants extra credit points on assignments. However, he must not have like me as well; he seemed distant, arrogant, & would not call on me when I would raise my hand in class. Maybe I rubbed him the wrong way. Sometimes, the "best" teachers don't always live up to their praise.

Prof. Mardirosian is very friendly and he is easy to follow. He answers students' questions and makes sure to cover all the material in a clear manner. The subject material is not that hard. You just need to pay attention. Homework was optional. He replaces your lowest test score with the average of all your tests. Highly recommended!

He worked out the problems from the book prior to teaching it to us. Every test had a proof to do. If he offers to put a problem the class likes on the test, let him know or else he'll put another hard question. Remind him as well. Gave a lot of HW! Also gave us extra credit the first two months.

Friendly and approachable-lenient grader at beginning of the year. Tests are always less than 20 Qs. All homework online MathXL but not required. If all HW complete, gives you 15pts ex credit which boosted my grade to an A. Do HW! Will def help when you take exams. Goes over material until everyone understands. Nice guy with everyone.

He is one of the best math professors at lacc. He knows the material, explains is very well and gives plenty of examples. you can get away with not buying the book, all you really need is mathxl and if you dont want to buy a key for it it's only 15 points out of 715.

he says tests prblems are from the book but itsnot.. the test is nothing like what he taught in class. he would always tell us.. the test is not tricky. but NO the test is very tricky. there are people who do well. but there are more people who tend to be on the struggling. side. you must solve EVERy PRoblem in the book to get A

My learning skills are shot. Math is my worst subject, but managed to pass. All the homework is mandatory (online). Tests in class with calculators. You must study and do your best.

I took Math 125 with him and he was amazing!! I have had many math professors at LACC but he is by far the best. He explains everything in great detail and gives plenty of examples to practice with. If you go to class, take notes, and participate you will have no problem getting an A.

By far the best math teacher in LACC. He explains every part of the chapter. Skips all the stuff that are not required. Shows you easy ways to solve problems. Very funny teacher as well. Keeps you engaged and focused at all times. Drops your lowest test. Very fair. Had him for trigonometry as well and I cant say any more good things about this prof

I am really not great at math, and have never been. Robert was the first teacher to really make mathematics easier to grasp. He was very patient, and went out of his way to make one on one time for me. I truly appreciate his commitment to helping his students.

I'm still taking this class. The professor doesn't make it hard its the subject that makes the class hard. I'm currently getting a D because my foundation in Algebra is bad. Because of this professor, I learned how to become more self disciplined and now studying became a daily thing. Only the weak will drop a class and make excuses. Finish strong

He is a great professor but his tests tend to be much harder than the homework and classwork. You have to work hard for that "B" or bust your tush for an "A". In all sincerity he is very helpful and clear in his lectures.

It's a challenge, but it will make you or break you. Give it your all; If I ever have to take another math class, it will definitely be Prof. Mardirosian. Prof. Mardirosian is the chillest teacher I had for my math in my entire life. He doesn't even take an attendance and his classes are always full. Tests are basically the same as sample tests he gives week before the test. He accepts both MathXL and paper homework. Super easy and super fun. Take him.

Great professor!!! I am good in math but this class (Statistic) not really math class. It is about logical thinking. He gives hard tests, but one think student likes its that you dont have to memorize all formulas, because he will write it on the board before all tests.

One of the better math professors at LACC. He posts sample exams of every major test and final online. Doesn't give a lot of hw but gives you extra credit if you do the hw. TI-84 calculator makes this class 50% easier.

simply the best Professor ive had at LACC, He doesn't just teach the material I feel fully engaged and try my best. Took the class in a 5-week, so very intense but he goes over everything in detail, always answers questions, there is no reason not to pass.

Great Professor, the class is not an easy A, but you can get an A if you work for it. He does a lot of explaining which is great, he helps and explains a lot, participate in class that helps a lot, I really liked this class and would recommend it, planning on taking him in future math classes.

This professor was honestly the best professor I have ever had my entire life. For a math class, it was very engaging and very fun. He was very genuine and made math very very fun with laughs throughout. He never took attendance and his classes were still always very full despite that because everyone looked forward to it even though it was at 9am.

I failed 125 and decided to break the class into two. took his class and passed with a B in the Summer. It felt easy compared to 125 and he was flexible in his grading. I passed with a B and never finished the homework assignments. (lots of homework for 5week course). Sorta wish he was teaching the other half, my current professor stresses me out.

I took Math 125 with Professor Mardirosian. He is a great instructor. He has an unique way of teaching which makes Math easier than it seems like. He cares about people who putting effort, and he doesn't like lazy students. In my opinion, he is a great professor!!!

Teaches in a distinct, intellectual way that encourages the understanding of statistical concepts and applying them in real life situations. However, I did notice a few students who could not follow his teaching methods and were basically left in the dust. Final grade is based on 4 tests and 1 final, he gives up to 15pts EC for HW completion.

Mardirosian was excellent. He teaches in a way anyone can understand as long as they're paying attention, and makes things fairly simple compared to the textbook. Unlike some professors, cheat sheets are not allowed, but with his guidance you will easily memorize trigonometric identities and the unit circle. Tests mimic the homework and lecture.

I took his class during Winter and I had to work for my A. Yeah it was a quick paced class but I learned a lot from him.

Although I agree that he is a touch grader and his tests are hard, you will learn a lot from his class as long as you are keeping up with homework and lecture. He explains topics very clearly and makes things easier to understand. Make sure you do homework since it will solidify your understanding.

Professor was really amazing. He cared more for his students understanding the material then actually getting right answers. He had a fair way of grading that made even the less capable students pass with a decent grade. For a summer class, I didn't feel super stressed at all.

He is very straight forward in what he expects from students. The sample tests are literally the actual tests just with different numbers. Come on. The people who complain about this prof not being straight forward need to reconsider their majors or spend some time outside the class studying instead of complaining. He doesn't hand out grades.

Prof. Mardirosian is an extremely caring professor. He is kind and generous. He thinks of things-how to improve the grade. Tests are difficult, but if you do a homework they are manageable. I took trigonometry with Professor Mardirosian 2 periods ago and the impression that I go was that he really likes to teach math, which makes from him and excellent prof. He explain things in a very simple way; however his methods usually dont match with those of the book. It is a very hard class but if you like and need mat he is de correct prof.

Took him for algebra and trigonometry and stats: best math teacher overall. He has his own way of teaching math so reading the book may complicate things just a bit so focus on lectures. Not a lot of hw and he gives points during class for answering questions correct then uses those points towards your test! Gives partial points on exams!

Calculus 1 is a tough subject, but prof. Mardirosian explains topics in easy to understand chunks. If you have any questions then definitely ask them because the professor will answer all of them. He really cares about his students and gives ample EC assignments throughout the course.

Helpful professor. He enjoys a good laugh and has a great relationship with his students. Really cared about the success of his students. He will go over a topic as many times as he needs to until EVERYONE understands, that's just how much he cares about his students succeeding. Gives chances for extra credit!

As long as you study, do his HW, and ask questions when confused you will do fine with him. He has quite a bit of patience and cares about his students. The only thing I wish he would have done better was show up on time to class as I feel like thats the reason we didn't cover everything. Good choice though.

There is four exams and a final for this class . Also , there is extra credit which is the hw . In order to pass this class you have study , go to his office hours , use the practice test / guides and Tutoring . This class is not easy !

Best prof to take Linear Algebra with he explains everything SO well and makes the concepts more accessible. He lectures for the entire period and gives extra credit for test corrections and participation.

Took Calc 2 and Linear Algebra with him. He explains everything so clearly and does not waste time during lecture. He will give background information needed to understand material. His tests are a bit difficult but if you do your work you'll do great. He also gives a lot of extra credit for class participation, test corrections and homework.

He is a very passionate professor! I love how he did a classroom with blackboard at his home. Its like a virtual class and very effective. He gives a lot of extra credit points, his very caring if he sees you participate. I shouldve gotten the textbook, since I have a lot of young kids, I couldve review what we discussed. Summer class was fast.

Math can be challenging, Professor Mardirosian is like having your handsome patient uncle explain math to you, he has an inviting energy, never made me or anyone feel inadequate or dumb for asking questions, tests can be challenging but always fair, again theres lots to remember, organize yourself, turn in your work, do the practice problems

Professor Mardirosian is by far my favorite professor I have ever had. I've been in his class for the fall semester, and I have never had such a great and laid-back professor. He is very caring, sympathetic, and kind whenever you email him about anything. He is fantastic, with a bunch of knowledge and very clear and understanding.

Despite being terrible at math, this professor keeps things simple and to the point. I used over 2 notebooks for this class, with lots of homework and quizzes. Some test questions are duplicates of homework/study guide problems. You have to work for it. Makes you keep your camera on during tests in zoom. I enjoyed it, and would recommend him.

There are 5 test and a final. He gives PLENTY of extra credit, so take advantage. The lectures are helpful, but doing all of the HW will definitely prepare you for exams (plus, HW is 3% extra credit). Go to class, do the HW, ASK QUESTIONS, and you'll pass. He is very helpful during office hours. Will take Math 270 with him this summer.

I love taking mathematics courses with professor Mardirosian , he motivates you a lot . He really cares about his students and he make sure that you understand everything . Exams are based on his lectures and homework from text book and study guide. Also , you can earn lots of extra credit at his class. Do yourself a favor and take him :)

Not gonna lie, it wasn't easy, which my grade reflects. But professor is really understanding and interested in you passing the class. When I was struggling he encouraged me to keep going. He dropped the lowest score test, which helped me to pass. Lectures are available in recording and notes are saved in pdf. Always answers the questions.

Algebra heavy. Lectures are available online in case you miss class, everything needed is on canvas. ASK QUESTIONS! He encourages them. Lots of EC opportunities. 4 exams (drops lowest grade) + 1 final. Very experienced prof. Take time to study outside of class, practice will ensure a pass. He seems intimidating but actually very encouraging & funny

Professor Mardirosian makes this algebra-heavy course manageable. Lectures are clear, and he encourages questions. Utilize Unstuck study, practice problems, and take advantage of extra credit to excel.

Haven't taken a math class for two years, but the professor did a really good job recapping. You don't have to complete all of the homework to get full credit. Lectures consisted of an introduction to the concept+Examples. Only complaint is that we were not given a lot of time to study, so make sure to review after class as concepts get harder.

4 exams and 1 final. He drops your lowest exam score. Super lecture heavy and he assigns no homework but I definitely recommend doing the homework because 1) it's extra credit and 2) it helps you do examples. He also has sample exams for each exam so definitely practice those before the exam.

Prof Mardirosian teaches what is typically a more difficult subject, in a simple way to grasp. He encourages questions and wants to ensure the class can follow along. Reviewing material before and after class will help! I'd recommend brushing up on algebra if math is a hard subject for you. No textbook/hw, drops lowest exam score. Great prof!

SO great! I was initially super scared of taking stats in person, but prof. Mardirosian made the class so simple and enjoyable. You are graded on 4 tests + the final, and your lowest score will be dropped. There are countless opportunities for extra credit. As long as you listen in class and watch the lecture videos he posts, this class is so easy

Homework is all for extra credit and lectures are easy to follow. He's a little disorganized at times, but makes up for it by delaying exams to go over necessary material. He won't test you on anything he hasn't extensively covered in class. He also drops your lowest exam score. It's a tough subject for most people, but he makes it easier.
