Awsome guy, very funny. explains well and has the class particpate. Will drop a quiz with the lowest test. if you get over 92 on all five quizes you dont have to show for the final. Good teacher, highly recomended.

Prof. Mardirosian was one of the best Professors I have taken for math. He is clear with explaining the chapters and if you need help, he will help you. Do not whine. He hates that. He is fair, very clear and patient with his students. Take him!!!!!!

He is a teacher that is willing to go out of his way to help you, assuming that you do your part as well. Anyone that thinks otherwise has never asked him for help. The test can be a bit difficult but they are fair.

Excellent professor! You can sit through a 3hour stats class, and not even realize how long you've been there. Very clear. Tests are exactly what's covered so any moderate studying will get you a great grade.

I'm not a math person, but this class was relatively painless. He did a pretty good job of explaining everything, and was pretty laid back and funny.

Great teacher, if you get over 93 on all five quizzes (which isnt too hard - he practicaly spells out the answers a week before) you will get an A in the class and not have to show up for the final.

at first,i was scared of taking his class coz of the ratings he had.however,after i tried out the first test,i'm 100% sure that he's an easy grader!!he gives lots of extra points.3 tests with 93++ plus a take home exam, and u got a SOLID A!!congrats!!

He is a very nice person, however, he just trows a buch og things on the board, and you dont know what they are for. I would not recomend him for statistics. If your not good in math, its suicide to take him. He is helpful though.

This guy's character is a wondeful asset to the class. He's a funny guy whose always interacting. All you need to do is come to class every day, copy notes, and DO THE HOMEWORK! All the questions on the tests are similar to the homework. Plus, if you get an A on the 3 midterms, you skip the final!

I totally suck with math, but he made the subject as clear and easy to understand as is possible. He has a good sense of humor and personality, unlike most of the other math teachers at SMC. Granted, I got a D in the class, but without him it would have been an F. I'll pass next time for sure!

I failed my math 22 class, and hated math so bad. i took him and boom math becomes very easy.i got an A for my exam. tests are from the class problems and homeworks. i dont know why people said he's hard

a very funny and pleasant teacher. he is also very helpful, if u dont understand somethin, he will explain it to you till u got it. his tests are pretty easy but since the final is from the department, u might get into trouble on that, cause the stuff he's teaching are the easy ones.

robert is the easiest teacher in the entire of the world. if you can not get an A in his class, you will never be able to get A in any other classes. his class is only 3 test and one final; and if you get 94 and above in each 3 test you do not need to take the final exam.

This is the best teacher. If you need to take math 22, 23, and I think 24, this is the teacher to take. Very helpful and easy to do well.

I LOVE THIS GUY. Makes the class fun. AMAZING teacher...you will learn, but the tests arent so easy, you got to study for them but if you work hard, youll be fine. Stops taking attendence, but if you dont come to class, youll be lost.

he's good! just pay attention in the class and you will figure that out, not much work to do. all 3 tests 93%+ = final exemption! nice!

He is a good teacher, a funny guy and cool dude. I almost ended up with a C, but went to his office hours and told him that I deserved better (after bombing all tests due to laziness). He tested me on eight random problems from the book and I was able to solve them. He changed my grade from a C to B. Thanks Robert!!

Great guy. Nice teacher. Makes the material seem easy and simple. I've gotten better grades with him than I did in math for a really long time! I was absolutely dreading math before I took his class, and it ended up being much better than I could have imagined. If you've got no way out of math, take it with this teacher. Cool guy.

Very easy going professor! You could compare the style of his teaching like a preschooler! I'm serious! He will always ask us. "YES? NO?" and ofcorz we would answer back! His tests are easy because he would give out practice tests as the same as the real test so you could still practice at home on what to do.

Great professor. He gets students involved in learning material. Got better grades on exams as semester went by, ex.B-C-A-A. Study hard, and review his lectures. That's all you need to pass his class with an A. It's my first math class in awhile and it definitely helped taking his course.

If you are not good at math then just follow him.He answers each student's questions,and explains again and again till they understand.I always had Ds at math in high school, but I got a B this time.It's not bad,right?

Wow, this guy is a math magician! This is the first math class I've ever enjoyed AND understood everything. Very friendly and welcoming. Don't miss class b/c stats is hard, but if you do the homework and he gives study guides (exactly like the real test) you will easily get a B or A. If math is not your strong subject, take this guy!

This professor has a grandfatherly aura and he's engaging and funny. He keeps in mind that some ppl haven't taken math in awhile so he will help refresh your memory with a quick problem and explanation. Method: goes over any math rules, puts a problem on the board, goes over how to solve it, then puts more on the board to solve in class. Great guy!

He is a wonderful teacher! I loved his class. He gives students sample exams before each exam and exams are quite similar to his sample exams! He is kind and fair.

Ok...It's Math, but he is GREAT!! Best math teacher I've ever had. He wants you to learn and get an A! Tests can be tricky but offers extra points if you need it! You should take him, you will learn and be ready for your next class!!

i hate math... awesome teacher though. averages lowest exam with highest. Lets you turn in corrected exams for +6 points. Final is hard though. He is an extremely helpful math teacher. I recommend him for those who have a hard time with math.

I always hated math.I was very nervous when I started taking Prof.Mardirosian's class,but as he started lecturing,I understood everything because he made them so easy. For first time in my life, I got 100 from a test and an "A+".He is the best math teacher I ever took,so as a honest person who cares about GPA,I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM,HE IS THEBEST

Prof. Mardirosian is a great teacher. He really works hard to make things as clear as possible. He's very understanding, and gives opportunities for extra credit. You do have to work hard--it's math--but if you study, you'll do well.

Very easy class if you take notes and do the homework assignments (he collects them all right before each test) Very helpful, nice guy, will answer any questions after class. He is a tiny bit disorganized and may shift the tests around, but very fair. Gives extra credit for class participation.

I have a love-hate relationship with Math, Mr. Mardirosian helped me feel better about it. Great explanations and treats students well. Grading is easy because he gives you a sample test but you actually learn and get prepared for the next math class you take! Take Him!!!

He is an amazing teacher I took him for math 18 for summer and it went well..I usually never received a grade lower then a B...but the extra credit helped. Attendance isn't a biggy for him but if u miss class then u will fall behind...TAKE HIM!!!!

I took him during the summer for math 18 and he was very helpful. He is very kind, and is always willing to help you if you are having trouble understanding the material. Having a caring teacher is hard to find, so i recommend you take him. You will do well in the class as long as you show him you are trying.

He is a pretty easy teacher, he will let you drop the lowest grade you recieve on a test and replace it with the average of all your test. Its pretty hard to fail unless you really try. Its soo easy to pass and you actually learn a lot. class isnt mandatory but it helps to show up.

Great professor. The tests are challenging, however he really knows his students and notices who is working hard and trying and who is not. Every class you actually do problems and are actively learning, not listening to lecture based on the book that you can study on your own. He does go fast, trusting you to ask a question if you are confused.

I took his summer Math 18 and I got an A. It is easy class if you do your HW everyday. Tests are not hard because there are no tricky questions. He gave out lots of extra credit. He lecture is clear but not interesting. Overall, he is a good teacher!

Book is only used used for homework assignments, as long as you know the material, turn in your homework and pass the last two tests of the semester and you will pass guaranteed! This class is really a breeze! Professor is extremely nice and patient I never seen him have a bad day before, but he will keep control of his class if he has too.

Teacher was very friendly, positive & humorous. Text book was not used during class. Homework & attendance were not mandatory. Teacher did not seem to have a general plan for the class. Syllabus did not have required assignments or test dates. Over all, I've registered for his class next semester!

This is the greatest class so far. I'm enjoying it at every minute. All the test comes from the HW, which is a MUST DO. So do your HW and learn the concepts so you can ace the test and the final.

The exams are easy, lots of extra credits. But it seems that he has problems with Persians. Well as you all know or don't, HE IS ALSO PERSIAN. I studied for all his classes and did all the homework and got an A for every exams. But in every exam he would only changed the persians seats. So if you are Persian be aware. He has some issues.

Mardirosian makes you study so hard.His calculus class was definitely difficult, however, I'm happy to have taken math7 with him as I had to study not only our book but also some other books, and so, my base in calculus has become very powerful. Moreover, this man is very friendly, understandable, helpful, and benevolent.

This is an easy class if you do the homework and come to class. I made the mistake of doing neither and payed dearly for it.

Mardirosian is a great teacher. He's straight forward into his lectures and has passion with his students by being serious with his topics. All his test comes from his homework so DO YOUR HOMEWORK clarity and your passing grade is guaranteed, as well as attendance.

Mardirosian is hands down the best professor out there, take him. You wont be disappointed.

I can totally understand this. He teachs slow and clear. 3 quiz 1 finals , and homework will check on each quiz, but he won't check each question. The quiz all form Homework , so if u did the homework, you will get easy A. And , a lot of extra credit, volunteer to write down the answer on the board ,2 ponit credit.

He is a very good prof. His lectures are good and straight forward, if u have questions u can ask and he answers them and proofs them mathematically. If u do all homeworks and listen to lectures and problems, you can get A.

He is really a good professor. He is passionate about his job and wants you to learn. He starts with easy examples in lectures and makes it complicated step by step to make sure you learn the whole point and can do complicated questions. It is very important for him that everybody learns, and walks through the class to make sure everybody got it.

Very helpful professor that has office hours to help you if you need help. He goes through problems step by step in class and does a few problems of each type so you can easily understand the work. He gives a couple extra credit points here and there. He dropped our lowest test grade and homework is worth a couple percent. Great math professor

I took with him MATH 32 and MATH 2 courses, and i wish if i can take with him all my math courses. I know that i did not get an "A", but it was my mistake i did not correct my schedule for the class. However, you need to make afford.

Literally the best math professor I have taken at SMC. Always makes sure that you understand what he is teaching and takes his time explaining concepts. He is excellent at teaching pre-calc and explaining it too. As long as you do all the hw (which is a lot) you'll be fine. Gives out practice exams for you to work on before real exams. TAKE HIM

Good choice for college level math courses. He will prepare you very well in Precalculus. Take him. He is awesome!

To all the up coming students that will take his class. Beware of his exams. You can't just do the HWs and Study Guides to get 100 on his exams. You literally have to know how to solve all the math problems, serious all. So just be aware of his exams. Please don't cheat, it's an automatic zero if you do. He will catch you. Everything is fast paced.

5 tests. 2 hours/test. Loads of extra credit opportunities. Go to every single class and be active because his lectures are honestly what'll get you an A. His study guides are bomb and he goes over the guides the class before the test. This class seriously is as easy as they come, if you actually care to try. We don't deserve Mr. Mardirosian.

Mardy does not get the credit he deserves! He's the reason I finally understand math after 2 years of hell in HS. The HW & practice exams are JUST LIKE THE TESTS! He goes over everything in class too. 4 exams (drops the lowest) are 75% of your grade. final is 20%, half MC half short answer. 1 group project is 5%. HW counts for 3% extra credit.

Below grading scale is accurate. He was awesome. Very lenient grading. Easy to get an A if you pay attention, do homework, and participate in class (1 point per problem solved on board added to next test). Overall a great class and im terrible at math.

Fantastic! Not like typical SMC math professors, he's one of the sweetest profs I've ever met and actually cares about his students. His lectures are very fast paced, and he talks at what feels like 100 mph during lectures, but his study guides very accurately represent what will be on the test. Highly recommend.

Very structured course and very refreshing with a math professor that has a humor and contributes with a light and fun learning environment. Given that he has people skills in addition to math skills, he's great at teaching so you'll learn a lot if you focus. Reasonable expectations and reasonable grader. I would take him again.

Best professor at SMC. He used interesting ways to teach his students like talking about how statistics apply to lottery games. He really helps his student to understand the material in an easy way. Whenever we have questions, he would always respond in a short time. I switched major to stats because of him. Definitely not a hard class. 10/10!

Professor Mardirosian is an INCREDIBLE professor. I would 10/10 recommend taking him for math. During his lectures he gives many chances to get extra points for the test. Getting an A in his class was very easy. And I am horrible at math to. (I took Math 54 but it wasn't an option)

Take him! Absolute best hate math and was not looking forward for this class. There is a fair amount of work but gives you time in advance. Tests do affect your grade so just study. Lectures are recorded and optional but if you do attend them live he gives out extra credit. Has office hours before tests and he is so sweet answers any questions

Amazing Guy for Calc 1, I came in with minimal knowledge of Pre-Cac, and this dude was phenomenal. But you must dedicate at least 3 hours every day(yes, weekends too) to study for his class! Make sure you scroll thru and work thru his practice tests, they were IMMENSE HELP for me when I was studying for tests. Nice dude overall, would highly recom.

Professor Mardirosian is the best professor I've had at SMC. He is engaging, will help you as much as you need and teaches the content in the best possible way. He is much better in person than online for classes. If you don't take Professor Mardirosian at SMC you are missing out on a fun class and a relatively easy A.

This was a good class to take for Statistics. He was really nice and caring. The tests are based on the lectures and there aren't that many tests. If you participate, you can get extra credit which goes to your test grade. Overall, I recommend him for Math 54.

Loved this class! I took it over fall as a nigh class and though it was late in the day, he always brought a sense of humor. I got an A and feel like I learned a lot. Not too much homework. You can get a lot of extra credit during the class if you participate. I loved that he had recorded lectures posted on canvas. I recommend this class!

Prof Mardirosian's Math 54 class was great. He provides helpful online lectures and lots of homework practice with multiple attempts. If you take notes and do the practice, the exams will not be difficult.

Took Math 54 in Fall and Math 7 in Spring and loved both. Professor Mardirosian even wrote a fantastic letter of recommendation for me, and now I'm at my dream college. I loved his Math classes and am now a STEM major as a result of his kindness, encouragement, and support while I was at SMC.

This was my favorite class I've taken. Professor Mardirosian always brings humor to his lectures and keeps them interesting. It is clear he cares for his students. I didn't find the class particularly difficult, but I never missed a class and always watched the lectures online before class. If you put in time and effort, you will succeed.

This class is not easy at all and you WILL need to put the work in to get a good grade, but Professor Mardirosian is amazing at helping you understand the material and become confident in your math skills. Attend all the lectures and watch the recorded ones + do the homework and practice exams and you'll be golden. If I could do it, anyone can.

Phenomenal professor, truly engages with students that are struggling and attempts to keep everyone up to speed. Very funny and entertaining lectures with easy extra credit points. Forgiving homework assignments, can retake several times to get the best grade possible. If you follow his study guides you can achieve an A in the class. ti84 required.

Prof Mardirosian makes this class enjoyable. Attend lectures, watch recordings, and use resources like the free textbook and Unstuckstudy to succeed. With effort, you can earn a good grade. This class is manageable if you stay engaged.

Took him last semester for Calculus 1. My favorite professor I've had thus far. Wants to see you succeed. Gave a bunch of extra credit opportunities and was a fair grader on exams. Exams were essentially the review. If you put in the work you should get an A.

I dropped stats about 4 times and even received an F prior to retaking it this time. Professor really makes it easy to ask questions and doesn't move on until you get it. Taking stats in your 30s was terrifying but he made it easy to digest and understand. My first test was a C but I ended up getting an A in the class!

This was my second time taking Calc after withdrawing spring 2024 w/ another prof due to time constraints. I learned SO MUCH in prof Mardirosian's class compared to the last one. His exams are on the more difficult side, but he's a fantastic instructor & knows how to prepare you. Many of his students have gone on to Berkeley, UCLA, USC, and Ivies

watch the video lectures he provides before class and print out the lecture notes it will be very helpful. Gives a bunch of extra credit if you raise hand and participate in class! The tests only have a few questions so no room for error. Study the lecture notes and watch his videos and do practice exams and hw he provides and you can get an A.
