Great lovable guy, easy quizzes, hard tests (hey, but its accounting, what can you do), good lectures, really helpful and clear. I give him an A+. Just do the homework and study for the fill-in tests. He tells you what to be prepared for.

This class wasn't too hard. He's a pretty good teacher. Don't take Johns for accounting, that class is hard as hell.

Maxwell tries to be funny but his tests are really hard and even if I study, I can not seem to get a better grade

He's a superb teacher. Yeah, he's not the easiest teacher out there, but still he's VERY effective and helpful. Lectures are entertaining (has a great sense of humour) and very laid back. Great for Business Majors, try him out & see for yourself.

Nice teacher, clear, tests are pretty hard, but getting an A only requires study, it's not that hard. Try his best to make the class interesting.

You know exactly what you will be tested on. The tests are challenging, but the class is passable. HW is due on test days. He tries to keep it interesting, which is pretty hard to do with Accounting.

Boring Class but great teacher. He does a good job of keeping students interested in the subject. Not an easy task because its Accounting. Test and Homework, not hard. Hint: Find a student who had him previously and see if they kept there tests. The questions are the same but he does change the numbers. :)

Maxwell is a very nice guy who takes the extra step for students. Easy to get in touch with and a very good accounting teacher. Take him for BUS 202.

i def recommend him.soo nice, great teacher, helpful, funny at times, shy but overall a wonderful person. our class was full of a bunch of immature kids but he didnt let it get to him. his class gives you a strong, broad intro to different majors and jobs in business. easy to understand&good for ppl who will actually read the book+listen in class.

had him in 3 different classes, very funny, straight forward. usees powerpoints that can be downloaded for studying purposes and to follow along in class. he is a good teach it's the subjects that are hard. Unless he is teaching something he himself doesnt give a hoot about (like personal finance class) then its easy A.

Professor Maxwell is a great teacher! Most of his test questions can be found in the lecture notes. Make sure to attend class regularly and talk with him personally and you should have no problems!!!

Good professor. He made the class as easy as possible. Much of the material was very dry; however, I find accounting to be a dry subject. The tests are difficult, you definitely need to study. If you do well on the homework, you should do well in the class. Try to do the homework yourself though, because he gives all the answers during class.

Took the online course.13 quizzes,4 tests,comprehensive problem,weekly discussion board and homework.Think very hard before taking an accounting course online. Maxwell is great, but this type of material is best left for a traditional class setting...but if you can teach yourself complex yet dull concepts then by all means.Either way,take Maxwell!

This is a hard class but not bc of the teacher,bc of the required material.Maxwell is an awesome teacher!I highly recommend him..he is very helpful & actually pretty funny.He tries his best to make class interesting &his teaching style is great,I understand a lot about accounting bc of him.There is a lot of work so prepare yourself bc it's not easy

I took his online class, and I think that's a major reason why I received an "A." Quizzes, you can "cheat" by having your notes/book with you. Tests weren't that hard, I got 3 As and a B. Just study EXACTLY what he asks for on the study guide. Review sessions are VERY HELPFUL!!

Great professor, I took him for financial and managerial, he is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Always taught us about the real world accounting situations and current financial situations. If your taking accounting classes take him! You will learn a LOT!

I took his online hybrid class and he is a fantastic teacher. He communicates greatly through blackboard and responds to emails. He also does a review every class meeting before the tests. I highly recommend this class. All you have to do is be selfmotivated to learn the material and do the homework and discussion boards and I got an A.

Such a good teacher. Extremely helpful and clear. Online class is a lot of work, but he provides a lot of resources for every learning style. Tests are passable if you study the problems he tells you before the test. Appreciated that he had a review session before the test. He is also really helpful if you need help with homework or projects

Professor Maxwell gives you many tools to succeed in the class. For instance, take advantage of looking at the "Digital Ink" lectures, even though they may be boring, they help clear up some of the material that may be challenging

Accounting 202 is a difficult class but professor Maxwell does a good job of explaining the material. Do the homework!

I did his class online, it was great the quiz and extra credit help. And he has is lectures online if you get stuck. Highly recommend. Dont waist your time in class. Lab Mohinder will help u if u get stuck.

Maxwell is a great professor! The material on the exam is given on study guides so you know exactly what will be on the test. The homework is a direct review of test material. He also offers extra credit that I recommend you take! Just make sure to do every problem on the study guide and understand them and you'll do fine!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Professor Maxwell. I took this as my second accounting course as a hybrid class and would have never made it through without him. From the clarity he provides in filling in the gaps to taking the time to be there for his students, his genuine concern for the success of his students is appreciated.

Amazing Professor!! Easily the most helpful person and a joy to be around. For a tough subject like accounting, Maxwell maxes the content not so dry and somewhat a joy to study. He even did an in class activity that involved baking cookies. He goes out of his way to help any and all students. Take him for any classes possible.

Professor Maxwell is one of the most funny professor that I had. He is very helpful, He offers extra credits, his class is full with laughter. The subjects that he teaches isn't that hard, but it does demand a lot of extra work. If you come to class every time, do you work, you will get A. GOOD LUCK

This class is not too difficult as long as you study. The first test is the hardest and then they get easier. The lectures are long and hard to listen to, but he gives participation credit for showing up to class and doing the in class assignments. Lots of extra credit opportunities.

Bob Maxwell is the best accounting professor at COC. He is very helpful and gives detailed exam reviews in his online class, including specific problems to work on to narrow down the material. Participate and you will get an A.

Prof. Maxwell was very good at explaining the concepts behind accounting, but it would have been more if he had actually demonstrated the concepts with examples from the book. The tests for this class were difficult, but got easier throughout the semester. Overall, the class was a little challenging, but definitely doable.

Great professor. Accounting is a difficult subject but he makes it interesting and he gives enough extra credit to make it possible for everyone to pass with a good grade if they are willing to work for it. Lectures are unique and interesting and he is very personable and approachable. Would highly recommend to anyone.

One of the best professors I've had when it comes to clarity. He lectures about everything that'll be on the test, gives examples, and then posts a very clear study guide on Blackboard a few days before each exam. Lectures can get a bit long, but he does his best to keep them interesting. Also offered a ton of extra credit, so that helped.

Professor Maxwell takes the necessary long lectures required and turns it into an educational yet humorous adventure. Expect to attend class consistently to understand the concepts and stay on track for the required work. Reading the textbook and understanding homework concepts are musts. Excellent study tips and ongoing support provided.

He used the Pearson's My Biz Lab for online testing. You show up for the lecture and participate for the points, then take a small quiz (DSM) at home and BOOM! You have an A and everyone is happy. He even suggests having the text book for the quizzes (kinda like a secret open book, if you want), but encourages you to challenge your memory.

I admire him a lot. He is so nice, patient, fair, and professional. He is the best accounting teacher I have ever met. Strongly suggest students to take his classes.

I took business 100 as an elective credit class. It was hybrid format and we had to attend class one day per week (counted participation for showing up). I didn't use the book but needed to purchase it for the canvas code (never opened the book). You don't need to attend class to pass for info, but you do need to for participation. Great teacher!

Maxwell is awesome and throws in some corny dad jokes here & there. Do the homework and use his study guide to study for tests. Pay attention during class because he'll tell you about any curveballs to lookout for on the test. He offers about 30 points of extra credit which is really helpful. Tests are a mix of MC & blank page, final is optional.

Uses many world examples that make learning fun! He would go off topic sometimes but always brings it back to relate to the current topic. Great dad jokes! You will learn a lot in this class. Even though he isn't an economics professor, his accounting class helped me to understand econ much better. You're the best Professor Maxwell!!!

Definitely cares about his students understanding the subject, which can be difficult. I especially liked that exam scores don't account for majority of your overall grade and his exam reviews are very helpful. The online homework done outside of class is quite time consuming but helps prepare for the exams. Really glad I took his course!

Out of all the teaches I've had in my life, Mr. Maxwell is my all time favorite. In business 201 I barely passed with a C-, but, when I took bus 202 with Maxwell I got an A. I'll admit it wasn't that easy, but if you want a professor that actually cares about his students success, I would highly recommend.

It may be my first day in this class, but I can just tell Maxwell is amazing. He has links to Orion, videos, videos of him doing problems, and is nice guy. Said good morning and approachable! First exam is really tough, but he does a good job explaining everything. Maxwell is a super nice guy and very understanding. He gives great analogies and explanations. I had the same problem, cramming everything in day before. Do wileyplus and quizzes early they are hard. Orion takes time keep practicing Orion. Accounting Is not easy, this is hard

If he sees your not doing well he will talk to you about study tips. Truly cares of a student's education and success. Make sure you study and add real world business into concepts. Use analogies to remember terms and pay attention in class. He's real nice guy and I'm working on bringing up my grade right now, but will not give up.

Maxwell is a caring professor who only cares about the students and their success! I love seeing a green box when I'm doing wileyplus, makes me so happy! It's a hard class, but he's a good teacher. Tells us exactly what's on the final, you need to make time to study effectively. Practice problems, study guides on canvas that will def be on exams!

He's a great person, very sweet and kind and forgiving. He's a very passionate professor which is always good and writes detailed reviews of what will EXACTLY be on the exam;no surprises. He literally copies and paste the practice MC on exam so you need to study that. Blank page problems and also critical thinking. It's a hard class

I'm at a C right now, but a very high C. Ok yes, this class is incredibly difficult, but Maxwell is super forgiving, caring, passionate, and approachable. I always asked him questions making sure I understood it. My problem is my test anxiety. His exams are difficult and you need to make sure you know the problems backwards and forwards. Great prof

This guy is the best! First test was so low, but my next exam score was higher! I could have got an A if I did better on multiple choice. His study guide on canvas is EXACTLY like his exams. Study the MC, practice problems, canvas quizzes, ask him for help. Optional final, but do your best so you don't have to take it! Remember the formulas!

lol you will not get an A. Maybe a b or a C because this class is hard!! My first score was super low and my exam 2 was 83. Exam 3 was difficult. Studying off canvas helps, but also doing Orion and practicing MC problems helps. Get the help ASAP from mohinder, she's great! Maxwell is genuinely nice and will help if you're struggling!

I aimed for an A in this accounting course, but I scored low the first exam. My highest was an 83 and now I'm at a 82 from the EC. And participation. It helps going to tutor and doing homework. Reading text book and practicing MC is also helpful. Know the order of the income statement, CVP, etc. write down study guides and look at canvas. Hard.

What a gpa killer. As a marketing major, I need this course and I'm done with acct lower division. Accounting is a complex subject with tons of numbers and formulas, but his lectures are interesting and he makes material interesting, it's just his test are difficult. Get help from TLC and ask him for clarity. Make sure u study consistently

Even if you can't find time to see mohinder, I strongly encourage you to make the time. She is incredibly nice lady and has good explanations for complex subjects. I think it's why I got an 83 on exam 2 and not that well on exam 3. His study guides are exactly what's on the test, but he tries to trick you sometimes. Super nice guy recommend

Maxwell genuinely cares about students success and gives them information to know when everyone starts working in their desired business field. He would teach in a manner that is helpful to know in life situations. He told us what chapters will be using in our career. Great proff, hard hard course. Mohinder and the text will be ur best friend

There were so many chill people. Many stressed out, but this class is not easy; it's rewarding. Orion, graded quizzes, waterways, Wiley hw. Exams aren't a huge portion! Maxwell makes learning accounting fun with examples and activities! We got to eat cookies. He gives detailed study guides on canvas which is nice. I really enjoyed the class.

If I didn't take stats, I would have got an A in this course. Mainly cuz his exams aren't hard endless you study everything on that canvas. He does fun demonstrations and activities with the class. He will help you if your struggling. I think it would have helped to go to his office hours! Make sure you know formulas and understand the problem

It's very tough, but Maxwell is the best teacher for acct because he makes it interesting with his personality. Super nice and forgiving guy with helpful lectures and assignments. His Orion prof was something I didn't like, but other than that he was very good and gave out extra credit. Helpful for anyone majoring in accounting!

Loved Maxwell's class. I met some nice people who wete all encouraging and diff majors in Business. Maxwell's Teachinng style is through activities that apply to real world business. He does activities to get us engaged in class. I got help from him and Mohinder and got a b. Great study guides, super nice guy, and interesting material. would take.

Professor Maxwell was the best Professor Ive had at COC. He genuinely cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. Im not sure how someone can make accounting interesting but he did it. His class isnt difficult. Follow his study tips and listen to his lecture in class, dont do hw in class like everyone else. I highly recommend.

Hardest class I've taken at COC. I took the hybrid class, which I don't recommend if you aren't a motivated learner. You are essentially teaching yourself all of the material. Maxwell is a great professor and knows what he's doing. But due to the nature of the class, I didn't get to benefit from his knowledge. However, I worked hard and got an A.

He is the best professor ever! I wish there's more professor like him! I will always remember professor Maxwell. Very understanding. Test is spot on! He gives you exactly what to review and exactly what will come out of the test! Learned so many things not learn at work.

Fantastic person and teacher, he made accounting a total breeze. He provides a ton of study materials and even if you miss class, everything is posted online to learn from. Tests are difficult enough but he does outline everything you need to study beforehand. Id love to have him teach the rest of the business courses Ill have to take!

TAKE HIS HYBRID CLASS He has been one of the best profs I have taken. His canvas is clearly laid out and set up for student to succeed. Lectures are prerecorded on YouTube so you can do it at your own pace during the week wouldve gotten an A if I did the HW on time You have to study though &take it seriously. pleased with his teaching technique

Professor Maxwell's videos are the best there is, the only reason you'd fail is that you didn't study or business is just not for you. I am a gamer so the youtube videos he has are just beyond words amazing. It's like being able to rewind him, in case it didn't register right away. Just watch the videos and you'll pass the exams.

Maxwell is a thorough teacher who goes over everything. Lectures are prerecorded & can be long at times. In class he reviews material/homework & answers questions, no camera. Lots of homework, but it helps you learn. Wiley textbook used. Class requires lots of time for studying & learning the material. Be prepared to put in some work, lectures good

Amazing Professor. I was worried about how difficult Accounting 2 would be for me, but Professor Maxwell was amazing. Clear grader, you won't ever question what you have in the class. If you do the homework, the exam is very similar. He doesn't overload and is very caring. You won't regret taking this class. 4 Exams total which is pretty great.

Really chill and understanding professor. Beware that you have to subscribe to wileyplus for his bus201-202 classes which costs around $140 and I ended up changing my major anyways. His hybrid class lectures were somewhat boring since you could almost always self-teach yourself once you learn the basics of the subject. Exams had no trick questions.

Took hybrid. Great person and professor with solid lectures. Lots of work though, you will spend hours on homework on WileyPlus. The tests are very hard too. The notes and worksheets he gives you in class, KEEP THEM, you will fail the tests without them. Had to go to the TLC a ton, but hey I maintained an A so use those resources.

Prof Maxwell posts lectures ahead of time so you can watch them at your own pace. His lectures are thorough and make learning easier than trying to read the book. He gives a few opportunities to do extra credit. Do the EC! If you do the work you can get an A.

I had him for accounting 201 and 202 he is amazing a lot of work but definitely worth it you will learn a lot

This Professor is by far the best Prof Ive had in my two years at COC, he gives you a large amount of wiley plus work to do but it is definitely manageable. The way assignments are set up makes his class very simple and straightforward when taking online. Would def recommend him to all students that are going to take accounting 202.

Does a great job during his lectures. Would have been a 5 if not for the weekly "continuing waterways" problems. These were genuinely more difficult than anything he ever gave on a test and they are extremely time consuming.

Professor Maxwell is a great professor and super understanding and caring. He keeps his lectures interesting with activities and has a good sense of humor. There can be a quite a bit of busy work but it really prepares you for the tests. Overall just a great guy and would love to take one of his classes again.
