I completed this class online which wasn't as hard as I thought it'll be. I absolutely hate math but professor McWhorter made it easy for me to understand my assignments and fun to learn.

-Solid choice for 2301 & also teaches 2302 -Online course was super convenient due to time flexibility to complete coursework -He is very straight to the point and does an overall good job of explaining the content in the book but do be warned, there are lots of typos in the book which led to a few head-scratching moments but hey, the book is free.

WONDERFUL professor! He provides the chapters for you to print out, HW assignments, quiz, and test for each section. He offers LOTS of extra credit. I am taking him for Acct 2 as well!

Professor McWhorter is a great teacher as I had him for Accounting in Fall 2021. This class is tough and although I got a C, the professor was really great at outlining dates and modules for exactly what we needed to get done. You usually have 2-3 weeks to complete everything in a module and this class can be hard so make sure to get ahead.

I took Mr. McWhorter for ACCT 2301 he is an excellent teacher the syllabus he provided made it clear what assignment we had and when they were due. No textbook required he provided the material for us and a link. There is a lot of opportunity for extra credit. We had the opportunity for 2 attempts on the quizzes and quiz homework.

This professor was amazing! You were able to have access to him when needed and was very understanding. The course loud is heavy but he gives you plenty of time to do it and has a lot of material to help you learn it.

The class was very organized and easy to follow through the rubric. Anytime I had trouble, he was sure to get respond in a timely manner and willing to resolve any issues.

He was a good professor and the assignments werent too heavy and were spaced out. Youll be good as long as you do the readings and hes good with emailing back to help you out.

Looking for a good accounting class to take remotely? Are you responsible to get your work done on your own on your own pace? Mcwhorter gives incredible video lessons that makes completing each chapter easy but not quick. Make sure to not try and take the lazy route because each quiz helps a lot on your test!

Go down the list of the module you will do well. I was overwhelmed reading the syllabus and looking at the work-load, BUT it is so thoroughly explained/organized so it looks like a lot. It is not as hard as it appears, and 2 weeks to finish every module was great. the notes provide identical examples. There is extra credit.

Professor McWhorter is a great professor. I could pace myself during each set of modules with homework, quizzes, tests. His video lectures are very helpful. He was always available when I emailed him. I will be taking him for Accounting 2302. As long as you do your work and study the material, you can easily make an A. Lots of extra credit.

Professor McWhorter will always help you out when needed and he really breaks down each chapter to help you understand. Also, if you don't do too great on an exam you're able to make corrections to it for a better grade. I do recommend reading chapters to know the formulas. Great professor all around. I have taken him for both accounting classes!!

It is a very self paced class, with assignments being due every two weeks. Very easy class as long as you read the chapter he provides, which have all formulas needed for the tests and quizzes.

Great course. As long as you read the syllabus you'll be okay. It may seem daunting at first but once you've read through all the instructions for the course you'll have a better understanding of what to do. Fair amount of assignments however they truly do prepare you for the material and they're not too difficult at all. Time management is key!

I really enjoyed taking Professor McWhorter's class. I was nervous because I was taking accounting as an online course but honestly it was not as stressful or challenging as I thought. He uploads these VIP lectures which really helps. He also gives you enough time to complete your assignments. I will definitely be taking him for ACCT 2302!

By far the best online course I've ever taken. He doesn't have textbooks but he has a pdf with the material for you and his lectures on youtube. He goes over the notes and the homework is similar to the notes as well. Work is due every 3 weeks which gives you plenty of time to understand the material and do the homework and quizzes. Take him!!

Professor McWhorter was wonderful in providing clear directions to all assignments. His class is a lot of work but well worth it!

His assignments are pretty clear and it's usually a bi-weekly thing. He has videos going over the lesson so just watch them and take notes and you should have no problem passing.

Prof McWhorter's class was actually quite useful. Get ready to read the notes he hands out. They aren't difficult, but sometimes you just need to re-read it a few times to understand it. There are a few quizzes and tests, but the practices are very similar and do a good job preparing you. Also lots of opportunity to earn extra credit.

Every chapter is provided in a printable format. I highly recommend printing the chapters. Watching the lecture videos is most helpful if you have already read the chapter first. Overall it's an easy enough class if you're willing to read. Lots of extra credit available and exam correction assignments to make up for bad grades on tests.

Although the class (ACCT 2302) was tough, Professor McWhorter was a great professor. You have to read a lot and he provides lectures explaining the chapters which is really great. Every Module had 2+ or more chapters to read, with extra non mandatory reading information,3 discussions,1 Quiz with 20 or more questions,10 homework questions,1 practice test, and an exam with about 24/25 questions. He gives you a good amount of time to do all of this though, just make sure to read the material.

Dr. McWhorter is an awesome professor! He gives tons of extra credit opportunities and clearly walks you through the homework you have to complete. You will have to read the included course material and complete the homework assignments. But, the reading materials will always have examples that show you how to complete the homework.

Read the textbook all the way through and double check your homework answers with examples from the book. Overall, a good class, just make sure to work all the homework questions, they will help you on the quizzes and text.

This class is not a hard class but it does require you to focus on your work to do well and learn the material (like any class). If you do not pass, it is because you did not try to pass. The way this class works is the professor gives us a homework, a quiz, a practice test, an exam, and three discussions based off of 2-3 chapters every 2 weeks. So you have 2 weeks to get all of it in. I personally liked his style. He provided his own pdf textbook and lectures going off the textbook. Great professor.

Make sure to do the exam corrections even if you only missed a few answers. Otherwise easy class and great professor.

Great professor for a challenging summer class. My only suggestion is to open the HW/Quiz/Test on the first day of the week, rather than later in the week. It gives us more time and it is more flexible for our schedules.

Professor was very reasonable. Assignments were very good and engaging but there are some changes I'd like to see him make at the end of the day he's an excellent professor with a very good class. Just a warning to all who take him, be prepared to do a lot of rigorous math and research, sometimes his way of explaining formulas isn't the greatest.

The class was very organized. The professor gave enough work to have a good understanding but not too much. A couple of discussion posts and multiple choice assignments to do every week. For a whole accounting class crammed into five weeks, it was enjoyable.

Took him for 2 classes, no surprises, very organized, dont let the syllabus or module work load scare you. Just do the work in order it makes it easy. Examples in chapter questions are the same for the exams just different numbers.

Loved this teacher. The class is the same every week. It's very constant so you know what to expect weekly. Has test corrections that can get you up to 10 points back. There's no reason for no one shouldn't get at least a B in his class. I took him for both accounting classes and wish I can have him for the ones ahead.

This is my second time taking a class with professor McWhorter and I would take another if I can. Learning the structure is a little challenging the first week but once you get into a system it is very manageable. it seems like a lot of work but you have plenty of time to do it so time really isn't a problem. just be sure to read the chapter !

While communication is through email(which can be a drag) he is actually one of the few professors who will get back with you on time and provide great feedback to your topic. Everything is on the syllabus and he provides documents to make sure you pass. Follow instructions and you can earn a great grade. I feel very confident going to UTSA.

I took this course online and was not required to show up for class. That being said, Professor McWhorter answered any questions I had in an impressive timely manner. This professor provides everything you need to learn the material and more. The only thing that would make this course hard is if you are not willing to put in the effort to learn. If you follow the material, study, and make use of all the modules provided you should end up with a high grade as well as learn new skills in the process.

Professor Dr. Robert McWhorter is an excellent and caring teacher! Would take him again in a hot minute!

I took Professor McWhorter for both 2301 and 2302 Accounting classes. Both were conducted similarly. The work load is very manageable and he gives a lot of material to help you learn. There is one big project in both courses, but if you look through the notes as reference while doing it then it should be a breeze. He responds to emails quick too.

Pretty straight forward class. Ensure to follow the syllabus to the letter. By reading through each chapter, reviewing the videos, and completing each assignment the class is fairly easy to excel in.

This class is not hard to get an A in. Do the readings, he gives plenty of time to do them. The homework has number checks to make sure you're on the right path. If you're confused, he is always available via email to clear things up. LOTS of opportunities for extra credit. Allow to make up missed questions on exams.

I was nervous going into this class about doing Accounting all online, but Mr. McWhorter tries his best to make it as simple and easy to follow as possible. His class is set up with many opportunities for extra credit, and roughly two weeks is given for every module. Be warned to not fall behind, but he will try to help as best as he can.

Mr.McWhorter's instructions are clear and straight to the point. I thought that Accounting 2301 was going to be difficult but it wasn't . If you do the work then you will receive the grade that you want. Mr. Mcwhorter also provides extra credit opportunites as well.I will definitely be taking him for Accounting part 2.

Professor McWhorter is very fair, he lays out the material in a way that is understandable with the video lectures. He also explains what to expect with the syllabus and a great explanation of the course and what is expected from the students. I enjoyed this course and feel I have a strong understanding of what he wanted us to learn.

Professor McWhorter is a great accounting professor, I have taken both Accounting I & II online with him. I will say he does give out a lot of assignments to complete, but he does give you plenty of time to complete them. He is also easily accessible so whenever there is something you want to discuss, feel free to email him with your questions.

I Took Professor McWhorter online for accounting 2302. The material was easy to understand as he breaks it down in YouTube videos and gives you weeks in advance to complete homework sections. I was nervous in taking accounting because I thought it was going to be super hard but Prof McWhorter made it easy for me to understand it. 5 star rating.

The material is provided as an online pdf, there is also an instructional youtube video reviewing the course chapter. The videos are long but they are very thorough and informative. Participating in discussions and the student report are a great way to earn extra credit. Overall i had a good experience in this course.

I had him for both Accounting 1 and 2. He is a great professor. He responded quickly when I needed guidance and even let me scan my work to send it to him so he could help me get on the right path before it was due. I would recommend him and his course.

I thought this class would be difficult, but he made it so easy! Every week there is homework, discussions and quiz material related to the chapters. No textbook needed, he provides the reading material on pdf. He replies to emails really fast and gives opportunity to do exam corrections.

I had Professor McWhorter for both 2301 and 2302 and enjoyed his style of teaching for being an online class homework was due every other week. I recommend working on homework throughout the week it's not a class to cram it all in one day. He offers extra credit for all the assignments and extra credit for the final.

Mr Mcwhorter makes online classes easier to understand with his pre recorded videos. He is also just a message away if you have any questions.

Dr. McWhorter's classes are excellent! I took ACCT 2301 and 2302 with him, and I am more than satisfied with how much I was able to learn in these classes. I will say, however, that reading the textbook is absolutely necessary if you want to understand the questions on the homework quizzes.

Robert Mac Whorter was one of best professors I had gotten for the semester. The class is fully online but no worries because the set up he has is the best. It will help guide you through the semester and help you stay on your toes. He was very helpful and was just an overall awesome professor.

For an online accounting class it was structured very well and easy to understand. Keep up on readings and homework and the class should be a breeze.

Professor McWhorter sets students up for success in this course, as his expectations are made clear and he provides all resources needed to grasp the materials. He provides more than enough time for assignments and is very generous with extra credit opportunities through the student participation reports. I will be taking him again in 2302.

Within the online class I have taken, he provides up to 3 chapters that are relatively short but compact with information. They also contain example questions and homework that will be solved by you. By re-reading the chapter, you'll be able to know what to do as you can reference easily. Very relaxing class and not too stress-inducing.

You will get structered assignments that are due in bulk but you have plenty of time. Pace yourself well and there wont feel like you did much work. The professor can be forgiving and responsive.

Easy going class as long as you do the work and keep tabs on the due dates. It was an online class and the work was given with a reasonable amount of time to do. It is a very interactive way of learning and is graded off a point system. Medium workload but very doable and a responsive professor!

Just follow along and read the textbook and you will do just fine, this is not a hard class with a good professor.

Assignments will be lectured over youtube videos by the professor which is great and much needed if math is hard for you so you're not going through the chapters by yourself. There are plenty of opportunities to make a better grade. Grades are accessed right away and professor will get back to you on any questions in a timely manner.

Professor is very nice, but the criteria is crazy confusing since its online... The homework assignments are confusing to me because of the way it is set up.

I appreciated the clear instructions on how to be successful in this class, used modules very efficiently for studying and grading. Easy to complete everything on time and was given opportunities for extra points and test corrections. Would take another class with this professor.

This teacher is great. He keeps you on track and the videos he provides are very helpful for understanding the textbook. The only major project grade is a case study and he goes over the steps very thoroughly and has checking numbers so you can make sure you're on track. VERY heavy on reading, lots and lots of homework, but easy if you manage it.

Professor McWhorter is simply amazing. The only thing I would change would be the number of assignments due each module can be a little exhausting, but they do prepare you for the tests and quizzes. Professor McWhorter was THE best professor I've taken thus far. As a student who struggled in ACC 1, I can gladly tell you that this professor knows what he's doing and gives you various resources to be able to thrive in his class.

I loved this accounting class. Mr.Mcwhorter was very attentive, patient and helpful throughout the course. The lessons and material he gave was super helpful as well, it wasn't too overwhelming but also super informative. Extra credit and corrections were also available. I really appreciate Mr. McWhorter's down-to-earth approach and the realistic examples and assignments. I feel like I have a much better understanding because of the time and effort he has clearly made to make the material thorough but still easy to digest.

What I like much about this class is his online lectures that are done through his youtube videos like as if you're in his classroom, and less online class if you know what i mean. This course is the heavily difficult to pick on, so never sleep on those notes he shares in the module. Plus, those extra credits are really worth your grade.

I failed this class (100% on me) and I am looking forward to repeating it with HIM next semester. Deadlines are every two weeks (Sundays), with only exam corrections due a few days after the Exams. Read the chapters, post your EOC Q and info early, do the posts, give others feedback, and complete the student eval reports. Very responsive via email

Professor McWhorter has been the best accounting teacher I have had. I feared that having this class online would be tough however he made the class very easy to understand. It was a lot of work but as long as you print out the chapters and assignments you will do fine with the tests and exams. Overall a great class and would take again.

The course was strictly asynchronous, in order to understand the material you have to participate and be proactive. There is a lot of reading, the Prof. is kind enough to offer notes and videos to explain in further detail to complete the asgmt.. Offers many chances to earn EC. If you complete the asgmt. in order it's much easier to understand.

This professor is the best professor I've had as a 1st year college student! If you are thinking of pursuing a career in accounting, take him. He has weekly assignments, quizzes, and tests; but are similar to HW and notes. So, if you study HW and notes, you will do fine. There are many opportunities for extra credit. The online class was pretty easy, there are between 3 and 4 discussion post each week but since I took it during the summer that's probably why. Homeworks are a little difficult but the quizzes and tests are easy.

Summer 2023 8 wk - Professor MrWhorter is well organized. No need to purchase the book.He provides chapter handouts along with videos of him going over the chapters.I suggest you print out ahead of time, review, & seek tutoring if needed. Of course, like all math, it can be a bit hard to understand. Dedicate your time & you will do great.

Summer 8-wk course. I wish I would have taken Prof. McWhorter for 2301. I was able to get a solid understanding of this course due to Mr. McWhorter's teaching style. Professor McWhorter is an excellent teacher. You can tell he is passionate and knowledgable about what he teaches. I don't have a single bad thing to say about his class, but I would say there are times where instructions come across unclearly. But when that occurs, it isn't hard to reach him with any questions you may have for him.

Mr. McWhorter is extremely knowledgeable, but for me, his course was a bit too intense. I often found the number of modules we received at once to be overwhelming. I took this course in a 16 week format along with a couple 8 week flex courses and found this 16 week course to be just as challenging as the flex courses, if not more.

Mr. McWhorter was a great professor! As long as you do the assignments you'll get a good grade and if you have any questions, he is there to help. He gives extra credit opportunities and the quizzes and homework you get 2 attempts. He also gives 2 weeks to finish your assignments so for people that need more time to understand the material.

If you taken an Accounting class before, it's pretty much what you expect. A lot of accounting info, intertwined concepts and math throughout. Overall, this course was adequate. Homework, Tests, and Quizzes for each module are all due every 3 weeks, so this gives you plenty of time to complete your work. Ch. notes can sometimes be overwhelming.....

This professor honors holidays and gives students a break during this time. He also provides video lectures so you can walk through notes with him. Extra credit is awesome in this class as well.

Although you wind up having 2-3 weeks to complete it, he will give 3-4 discussions, and 4-5 quizzes/ exams to complete. If you take him, it would be best to spread the work throughout the weeks.

I took this course as a fully distance online course. He provides youtube videos reviewing chapters/sections. You will have homework fill in the blank & multiple choice questions, 2 discussions to post, then a HW quiz, a Chapter quiz, a Practice Test, then the unit Exam. He gives you 2-3 weeks per section. I felt this was sufficient.

I had Mr. McWhorter for both my accounting classes, and he is great! He will help you if you need any and the course work may seem like a lot, but he gives you 2-3 weeks to complete the assignments, so you have plenty of time to do the readings and course work. Great rhythm to the learning schedule. The workload is balanced and divided into sections. It is up to the student to stay on task with due dates and deadlines to be successful in this class. I found it a fun learning experience when I logged in a couple of hours 3 times a week.

This professor respects your family/personal life by not having assignments during holidays. He is thorough by providing instructional videos.

Assignments are normally due every three weeks and consist of three discussion boards, two quizzes, a practice test, and a test. I would recommend starting assignments early to avoid stress and rushing at the last minute. I highly recommend Professor McWhorter, as his assignments are very straight to the point.

He is very clear about what needs to be done, so that there is no confusion, and he gives plenty of extra credit. The professor is great! He is a good guy. Just the dang subject. Accounting is very hard. Even when this professor is good. This course was one of the hardest I have ever taken. And this is coming from a guy who got 105.5% on an overall grade in calculus and a 100% on calculus 2. And A's in science. Accounting is a real pain! But, the teacher is A+
