Taking this class DE style. Couldn't be any easier. Read the chapter, answer the questions, take the easy tests, and make an A. Seems like a nice guy too.

For DE, everything but the final is open book. Couldn't be any easier. I highly recommend Dr. Morecook for DE Psychology...Sometimes he takes a bit long to get back with grades, but that is my only complaint. Offers up to 5 pts extra credit on final average, and like I said: open book tests! Easy!

I loved his class! He's a very good teacher! He's very friendly and he makes class interesting by "trying" to be funny sometimes. I learned alot in his class! His tests have an essay portion, but I didn't find any of them hard. Of course, in order to get a good grade, you have to study just like any other class.

i definately recommend him for those of you taking DE psych. hes great! as long as you turn stuff in on time..easy A!

I also took his wife for a DE class, Professor Laman for Psyc 2301...She is really great too, Different teaching style but I highly recommend both, yet her class is a little tougher!! Good Luck

His class is fairly easy if you read most of the chapters you will pass the test. His tests however are pretty hard and have confusing questions so studing is required.

He is a good teacher. Lets you use note cards for tests. I recommend going to the website for his exam reviews some of the questions show up. Also, he tries to be funny, but isn't. Gets boring at times, but gives extra credit for showing up to class everyday.

he's nice but sucks! test are hard...very tricky questions. even if you read the book its hard to remember those detailed stats

just read, notes don't help much. for one of our tests he gave us 20pt curve b/c he messed up. fairly easy.. index cards help too especially on essay portion of exams

if you print out the chapter objectives from his website and answer all the questions (which really just requires you to skim through the book and find the answers) then you'll pass. He lets you use index cards as cheat sheets, gives extra credit and gives 2 points to your average if you come to class every day.

He has a very light and funny way of teaching very complex stuff.

The class is so easy and I do not understant why people would get C,S, Or F on the exam. I go to UT and taking a semester off and everything st HCC is easy than in UT. If you get C, D, or F I think you are not ready to enter to a four year college/university. Mr.Morecook's exams are plain and simple and nothing complicated.

Ahhh U guys Lied to me This guy is SUPER boring and 75% of the class leaves before the end he gave us Quizes EVERYDAY on the upcomming section except for the days that he gave us Exams. His class averages are usually low. so HA You have been warned(Dont take this class unless you have no life and read all day. But if thats u this class is perfect

I took him during the winter mini term. Pretty easy teacher. His lessons are very easy to understand. His tests are a little bit difficult but, he lets you use a cheat sheet on a notecard.

the class was a walk in the park. his teaching style was easy to follow and he elaborated if you needed him to. the only way to fail his class is to not pay attention to the lectures, not read the book, and/or not go to class. he even allows note cards on the test. the class was an easy A

Morecook was a real eleborative professor, he tried to make his lectures as understandable as possible and he tried to be funny while lecturing to avoid his students from getting bored, it worked for me, but it doesn't work for everybody. His class was really not that difficult if you study, his assigments are easy to complete he is a nice guy.

I found his class interesting. He is a very nice man and he tries to make psychology fun. Yeah his jokes are a bit corny but atleast he tries. I made an A and it was pretty simple. I never took notes in class but I printed out the key concepts on his website and just read the information about them in the book the day before the test. good luck

DR. MOORECOOK IS AMAZINGGG. i dont know what all you people are complaining about. i took him for intro to psyc and got an a. in fact i liked him SO much that i just started developmental psychology with him in the spring. AWESOME TEACHER. TOTALLY RECCOMEND! EASYYYY. FUNNNNN. EXTRA CREDIT!

About medium in difficulty IF you study. You can make a A. You can make an F easily if you dont study 2 or 3 hours for each hour in class

Dr. Morecook teaches straight from the book. His lectures and your classroom notes won't be extremely pertinent to the material on the exams. Read the book and use the books companion website to test your knowledge. Once I figured that secret out I went from a B to an A. He is kind of socially awkward, but harmless & all told, a very nice man.

He based his lecture on textbook and you need to read the rest of the chapter later. There's a lot of materials to cover so embrace yourself and ready to learn. use the textbook quiz on the web to practice, it helps. he gives extra point for reading pysc journals and perfect attendance. he gave corny jokes and his delivery is perfect.

I cannot imagine a better teacher for psychology. He is just perfect. He is fair in grading students. Students feel comfortable at his lectures.

Very helpful and slightly corny. Some of his jokes were indeed funny, but overall his examples helped me understand the material. However, i recommend that this class is NOT taken in the summer. It takes more time to absorb the material!

He's neither easy nor hard. BUT you gotta study to make an A or B. In fact if you dont study you will probably fail. Some goof balls just come to class and sit there then wonder why they flunk. Most important to do is the text. His lectures are planned to clarify things in the text that are real complicated. You gotta read people.

He's old school! He really teaches a college class and wants you to work. A bunch of people in class did not do much and they made terrible grdes or dropped. If you do the work, esp read the book like three times you can make an A or maybe a B

He DID NOT workout for me. He talks a lot but you seriously need to read the textbook every night and study two hours A DAY. His test go by the book. He doesnt hand a review. I think im going to make a C in his class which is not good. If you like reading everyday then take it.

His lectures we're entertaining. He would give examples that were easy to remember and very applicable. Be sure to read the textbook though, his tests will review things that aren't in his lectures but are in the textbook.

He is an amazing teacher, and his lectures are really funny & help you in his tests. He gives out one assignment before a test and gives you like a week to do it and it's really easy. His tests are easy to just listen to him & read the book. Although their is no interaction in his class, just him talking. BUT HE IS REALLY GOOD :)

First off-You must read the chapters!...Great teacher he talks a bit quietly so sit in the front. He interacts with students somtimes inhis lectures. Tests are farily easy, just pay attntion and at least read the chapter once. Online assignments are super easy. However if you like a more interactive/fun class dont take him. But still easy:P

Honestly, hes is the absolute BEST teacher I ever had! I took him 2 years ago, and unfortunately I was not able to rate him on our schools teacher rating, but had to rate him here. He uses great examples to help you understand and is everything you would want in a Proffesor. I wish I could have him again, but he only teaches that 1 class. :(

Great teacher. Lectures are well organized and interactive. 2 tests 1 final with an essay. You are able to use a 3x5 notecard (front and back) cheat sheet on the tests, but not the final. Buy the study guide. Test questions are from the book including the captions and articles in the chapters. The 'cheatsheet' he allows on tests never helped me outside the essay. Term paper is straight forward - more about form than content ultimately. This class was very time intensive for me to secure that A.

I absolutely loved being in his class, he's funny and keeps the class interesting. Use every resource available to really understand and do well on his tests (The essay ?s will ruin you on the tests so know your stuff).

Mr. Morecook has been teaching for a long time. He knows how to teach in a calm and almost serene way. He offers real life experiences so that the students can fully understand his lectures. He uses the dry erase board every day with his own sketches. The final is conclusive and easy if you study 30 min. a day every class day you'll do fine.

I took a 5 week summer course with Dr. Morecook, and he is very entertaining during his lectures. His tests cover quite a bit of material, but it's just exactly what he covers on his powerpoints, and he lets you use one 3x5 index card (tests, not final). There's one 4-6 page research paper that is pretty straightforward. Great experience/professor!

Prof. Morecook is actually really interesting. He's been teaching a long time and knows his material very well. He's clear about what he expects from you and gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit and there are no surprises on his tests. There is a lot of studying to be done but its interesting material. Free textbook!

Prof. Morecook is a good teacher and he explains materials very well. But his test especially the multiple choice part is tricky, you need to be smart to get the answers correct because he sets questions with his intelligence not general knowledge. Some questions comes from what he said in the class. You got to be a good listener!!!!

Dr. Morecook likes to tell stories while going over the slides which does give you a better understanding of the things that are being discussed. However his tests are difficult indeed, although he does give extra credit options, index card use, and you see the short answers before the exam. The multiple choice is the difficult area.

Interesting lectures and has plenty of corny jokes to keep you awake. Easy to get a B in the class without reading the textbook. If you want an A though, make sure you type all of your essay answers on 3x5 index card for the tests. Essay questions count for 30% of tests.

I am generally uninterested in psychology, philosophy, government, etc. but the course made it easy. His exams are easy if you studied and know the material. If you don't study you will fail. Sometimes he puts questions that weren't in the textbook or in his powerpoints. Be ready to study and do homework for a long time.

Dr. Morecook is a great teacher!! yes you do have to study!! to the point. his first test are written in his own words... final was a breeze. he is funny and he has all the information you need on his learning web. will drop the lowest test grade.

I was definitely expecting the class to be much harder. He's a great teacher and provides you with everything you need to know for each chapter/topic. Each topic is a week long, graded written assignment due Fridays, one non-graded quiz, and one grade test per week. Super simple. You just need to read thoroughly and understand each section. Easy A

Dr. Morecook is a great professor, study for test read the book (somewhat) great information on his learning web, extra credit is given on each test( analyze 4 articles per test), you get to use a 8x10 card... write all the information about the topic you will have to write abou on every test.... worth 10 points. yes you will have to study.

OMG, where do I start. I love him. I learned soon much from his lectures, test are not easy and not hard. You have to put some effort to do well. I would take him again and again with no regrets.

*FOR HBU STUDENTS* He's a wonderful professor who truly cares about students and student's success. He can be a tough grader on tests, especially essays, but he's very lenient IF you talk to him about it. He gives extra credit, you have a 10 page essay, and multiple chances to get the grade you want. There's no reason you shouldn't do well!

I have been out of school for well over 10 years, I was afraid it was going to be difficult for me jumping back in. Dr. Morecook was stress free and made it really easy for me to understand Psychology. My 22 year old daughter referred him to me and he was everything she described. Test were straight from lecture and powerpoints. EZ class

If ypu pay attention, take notes, and study you will pass. Gives quizzes for extra points on tests. Tests are 35 multiple choice and 3 short answer. Posts on his site the review, questions in advance 9( he chooses 4 or 5 and you pick 3 to write about) and and over view of the chapters that are going to be on test with what we need to know. You may use a 35 notecard on tests. He also at the end of the semester changes lowest test score. All described in syllabus. He makes a lot of corny jokes which are sometimes funny or adorable. His goes through powerpoints with great detail and gives you a good understanding of the topics he is on. Overall great professor and would definetly recommend taking him.

Professor Morecook made leading fun he is an older man that knows his material. He made leading fun. He cares about his students and most of the answer for the exams are in the PowerPoints that he provides.

Great professor! Definitely one of the best I've taken by far. He doesn't require a textbook, which takes a load off. All the information you really need is in his Powerpoints. No homework, only tests. You will pass the tests if you study the Powerpoints, listening to his lectures will help too. His personality will keep you hooked, truly 1/1000000

SUPER easy A. He allows a 3x5 notecard for tests and gives up to 15 extra credit points for each test. He has pop quizzes but they're only extra credit. I wrote the extra cred essays in class, used the notecard for essay question answers, and never really had to study.

Amazing lecturer. Great at explaining, and if you're paying attention you'll realize that he's very funny. Pop quizzes are extra credit opportunities, so read ahead and review with the powerpoints. Dr. Moorecook was honestly one of the best psych teachers I've ever had. His tests and pop quizzes all come directly from the powerpoint, so if you do take his class (which I highly suggest) go feral. I only really had to study for his final exam, and even then, it was pretty easy. All of his tests include essays, but they're super straightforward.

Professor Moecook is one of the best professors in Hcc. His class consists of only 3 exams with essays. He allows you to use an index card for a cheat sheet on the test. Listen to his examples in. Lass because they will be part of the test

Just finished my last class with this Professor and I only have great things to say. The class is only a matter of 9 chapter quizzes and 3 papers- all easy and about topics YOU choose. He makes detailed power points for each chapter so you don't have to read, his lectures are specific and not boring at all-he's funny. Loved this class. Thank you!!!

Loved Professor Morecook! 9 chapter tests and 3 essays that you choose. He gives reviews for tests that help so much for tests. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Need to read the textbook and PowerPoint, but very simple. Papers are very easy, doesn't grade hard on them. No respondus lockdown. All in all, TAKE HIM! He's awesome and funny!

Professor Morecook is a good professor who genuinely loves psychology. He very much enjoys talking about psychology. Attendance not mandatory but extra credit possible for it and some test questions are based on lecture stories/examples. Easy A, he gives everything needed to take tests. PowerPoints and core objectives is all you need to pass.

Funny professor. he puts his lectures on YouTube. watch 30 min videos and right a 300word paper about it to get extra credit.

He has good ratings but I had to come leave one too. He is a really good professor and explains well with great examples. He is a bit repetitive and his voice is a lullaby but if you actively pay attention and study a bit, you'll be fine. He also has bonus questions and assignments are fairly easy. I say take him.

Prof. Morecook is awesome! His lectures are interesting, you can tell he has a passion for teaching, and he cares for his students. The best teacher ever, highly recommend this professor no matter the course. Answers within 36 hours on weekdays and clears up any confusion. His lectures are entertaining as he involves everyone in scenarios to teach specific material. You can genuinely tell he cares about the students and goes as far as creating a helpful study sheet.

Professor Morecook is lecture heavy, but everything that you need is provided in the powerpoints. If you follow the lessons, and write notes, and watch the extra credit videos because they help out on quizzes!

This professor made my days a lot better. He really understands the topic and tries to make his lectures interactive. His quizzes are to the point and so are his assignments. Taking notes is important in this class and he really enjoys when the class participates. Genuinely just a sweet guy.

The online lectures are recorded, so if you happen to miss any, you'll be able to look back and watch them. The lectures themselves are great, he's very funny and shows videos and demonstrates scenarios to help better understand the topics in the lectures. He does encourage participation in the lectures as well, but overall, I would recommend him!
