teaches in class completely different things than what are on the test. goes off track easily & is often difficult to follow. very stern & sarcastic. can ease up & open up to the class with jokes, but still is always tense. rushes through material!
When you meet him the first day you think that the course will be easy because he doesnt give a lab test just lab assingments.Which is fine but he never teaches what is on the test so i guess it is not important to takes notes.He is also very sarcastic and does not do a review for his tests.
If you carefully read the text you'll find the Prof teaches like an expert in the field and demands that of his students. He expects all in the class are allied health students & will work in a clinical environment and need to know their basic science. A++
He is nice outside of the classroom but horrible professor. He rushes through material, acts like you should already know a lot of the material, and no one understands a thing when they get the in class tests. Would never take him again by choice.
Like a few people mentioned, he rushes through the material, and he doesn't teach. Also he is very sarcastic and very uptight, need to loosen up a bit. Also what he mentions in class never be on the test, I will never take his course again.

I prefer Moskowitz than my teacher RIGHT NOW who fails half of the class and gives an F as midterm grade.
He is the worst teacher ever. I passed my take-home tests with an A and B. But when it was time for the in class test I did soo bad in them because more than half of what he said was on the test there was nothing on it.Lab was even worst because he lectured for like another 2 hours before we got started doing actual hands on stuff.

He's a good teacher with a great sense of humor. A little slow and drab talking soemtime but keeps your interest. At least 2 of 4-5 test are take home, has his own web site with valuable info. Test are somewhat detailed.
he is horrible! he never explains what he teaches. he talks and talks for hours but never stops to explain what he just said. so he moves on to the next topic while you're still on the previos one. IT'S RIDICULOUS!
There are two take home tests, but then the third exam is a bit hard if you don't study everything! The lab exam was fine, it's all identification. The final is yet to come and I'm sure it's going to be hell!!! He does go fast and jumps chapters a lot. Bring a tape recorder.

I suggest that if you get him to run like hell he's tooo hard I had avart and Liljedahl and they both were way better teachers I got B's in both there classes with hard work. This teacher is never writes on the board, covers to much info at once, dont give out handouts, and you never know what to study! he's the WORST!I dont think the people giving

He has high expectations and the material is hard. But I found his lectures to be helpful in clarifying difficult concepts from the book. If you get him, just buckle down and work- read the chapter before class, ASK QUESTIONS DURING CLASS, and make use of the online/CD supplemental materials.

Hard! Don't take the take home tests for granted. They will take you at least 8 hours to do. READ! It is important to read the book before the lectures, every day. NOTES! Be prepared to write from the moment you enter the classroom. Overall, Bob knows a lot about the subject, but sometimes has problems explaining it. Learn it BEFORE you go!
There are no words to describe the horror of this class. don't walk. RUN away! had i known, i would've found another job/changed majors. disorganized yet teaches the course as if you are scrubbing into surgery that day. if the village of arrogant and pompous people is looking for a leader, i found their guy and i have a 4.0. Or did. horrendous!!
Do yourself thee biggest favor, drop the class as soon as you see his name pop up on your roster. He gives takehome tests and even they need to be curved. If you don't have 20+ hours a week to devote to the class for studying, you're doomed. (he uses all the textbook words & explains almost nothing)

Vey difficult class that requires enormous amounts of time. Take home tests are difficult but nothing compared to lecture final. An A is possible if you put the work into it.
This class is very difficult. Dr.Moskowitz teaches on a graduate school level.He is very smart and knows his stuff but has a hard time interpreting it on a BIO 110 level. I feel the only way you can do well is to only take this class no other classes a semester so you can soley focus on him and his teachings. I don't recommend him.

Little organization to his lectures. Used terminology different from that in the text without mentioning it was different. Didn't write much on the board. Canceled LOTS of classes and then the rest felt rushed.

He is so well versed in his field. It really shows. He knows everything about the material. He seems to think his students all know the material as well as he does. He talks over your head. I knew A&P was going to be hard but i feel like I am learning nothing from him. Try to find another teacher. I will not take him again.

I am taking this teacher at Gloucester County College and he is horrible. The highest grade in this class is in the low 70's. He is horrible. I studied so hard for the last test, studied with a tutor at school and still got a low 70. I argue over points on tests bc there are multiple answers that can be right. He stinks.

Prepare to teach yourself if you ever want to truly understand what this guy is talking about. He teaches the class as though he were speaking to colleagues with doctorates in biology. If you can, get another teacher, if you can't, then verse yourself in each chapter prior to lecture. If your not good at learning on your own, then your f'd...lol
I took A&P 1 first summer session. I felt I worked hard in the course and only received a C. I think half the class failed. The lectures are conducted as if you've already read the material. You should do that, if you can figure out what material to read. He skips around and picks whatever from the syllabus. Test questions are detailed.

DO NOT gamble with your GPA on this guy. Any professor who tells you in the beginning of the semester only 50-60% of students pass his class, you should drop them ASAP. All I can say when taking him is good luck, cause only through luck will u pass. I got a B but people who studied for hours everyday were lucky 2 get a D. the amount of info he expects u 2 know 4 tests is incredible. If you have his class drop it before its to late, his test are the worse he do not prepare you for them no reviews. he lectures in the lab instead of actually doing the lab until last minute. If his class is all thats left wait until another semester its not worth it. Plus his take home quiz are hard.
I've never had a professor who made me feel more hopeless.He lectures without structure.He jumps all over the order of the text so it is hard to follow.His tests are incredibly hard,detailed and cover things not covered in the class.He does not provide any supplementary notes or PDF,which is common in 2011. He clearly doesn't care if students fail.
By some miracle, I did manage to get an A in his class and maintain my 4.0 GPA. Take home quizzes are 100 questions. Lectures bounce all over the place, took 13 pages of notes each class which were worthless for tests. Tests don't match what he talks about and seem like they're taken from a teacher's guide or something. WORST TEACHER EVER.

It's unfair to say Dr. Moskowitz'lecture goes all over the place just because he doesn't follow the book's organization. He's simply relating information from other chapters that supplements the topic. If you actually go to class, things make sense. True he doesn't give "handouts" and worksheets, but this isn't high school. He's a good teacher.
He is a good professor, i don't understand why is everyone complaining?The take home tests are easy, if you pay attention in class & do what he says you will be fine, about the powerpoint this isn't high school!it's true that he goes all over the place sometimes but he knows what he talks about he always jokes around and have a good sense of humor!
Beware! There were many test questions that seemed like trick questions. He also is very monotone and likes to show off how much he knows. It brought down my confidence a lot and I was almost ready to quit school. He should not be teaching a 109 class because he is all over the place. I never knew what to study. I was an A student who got a C.

I took this class summer1 and I got a "B". His lectures has no direction they tend to go all over the place and his test questions are a little tricky but his take home test is what carried me through the class.They're pretty easy, so if you can pass the take home test and one of the test in class you should pass the class..I would take him again.

I can honestly say this is the worst professor that I have ever had. He was completely useless if you needed any extra help. He taught material that was far to advanced and wasted most of class with useless analogies and terrible and often offensive jokes. Why he is still employed, I do not know. Stay away from this professor at all costs.
This is by far the toughest class I've had! Before I took this course, I had a 4.0 (34 credits). His class was ridiculously hard. The grade consisted of the midterm, final, and a couple take home tests. He was not helpful, and just talked the majority of the semester. He even seemed bothered when someone would ask a question. His way of teaching makes everything more complicated. He thinks he is helping explain things by getting very very complex, but this actually just confuses things. He teaches chapters out of order. He is a nice person, but I do not like his teaching style. I got an A by tuning him out and just reading the book.
This is a no joke class and you will work hard to earn your grade, but he is a good teacher. He is a little strange with some of his test rules, but no biggie. The semester I had him everything but the final was a take home test. I would have preferred to have him for Biol 110.

One of the worst professors. His lectures will not help you for the finals. Had take home tests and in-class finals. I had him for a summer class and basically had to study day in and out and pray to pass the finals. Just study the textbook in and out and ignore his lectures.

I was not too fond of this professor. He basically gave us take us home (4) then a midterm and a lab and lecture final. His way of teaching is awful. He basically drew things on the board for us to understand, but alot of people in class didnt. If you get the chance to switch, please do. You wont regret it!

I loved his class. You get to take 3 take home exams. The midterm is basically the same stuff on the take home exam. The hardest test was the lab exam. If you want to pass this class you need to take him. Bio110 is hard but he made it a lot easier to pass.
This guy does not teach the stuff that he tests on so you have to teach yourself. Take home tests are nice but then in class exams beyond difficult. Some exam question are the same from take home but since he doesn't teach, all becomes difficult. In class lecture are unbearable. The whole class complained. Avoid at all costs.
Four take home quizzes, one lab final, two lecture exams. He teaches you as if you were an expert on the subject and only draws confusing pictures during class. He goes over scheduled time nearly everyday and lectures during lab. If you want to learn, teach yourself because he will not help you. Worst professor ever. I got a B through sheer luck.

Only take if you have the time for an independent study, because you will be teaching yourself. His lectures are pointless and have no relevance to the material you will be tested on which is all from the book. YOU WILL BE TEACHING YOURSELF but you will be expected to still attend 3 hours of pointless lecture a week
Do not take him for A&P 1. He gives you 4 take home quizzes, a midterm, lecture final, & lab final! Since the 4 exams were take home everyone in the class failed the midterm (80 questions). He teaches from analogies and drawing pictures. I would not recommend taking him if you cannot teach yourself!
A&P 2 is a hard course, so no matter who you get you're going to have to work for your grade. he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He teaches with drawings so I recommend buying an Anatomy coloring book bc all of his pictures are in the book but more detailed. He lectures through all his labs which is a huge thumbs down. But all in all he was fine
I'll start by saying he a Dr. So he has put in the time to learn the subject. If you are looking for a good in person source of information take him by all means. But if you can't self study, have no previous information on the subject, then avoid him. He lectures all class. He don't fully answer question. Doesn't give much help during office hours
Get Ready to read! I must admit Professor Moskowitz has a non-caring demeanor. However , if you come to class, and do your part ( Read, Read and Read some more) you'll be great. 3 take homes, lab and lecture final. Lab final was rough. Lecture final included questions from take home. Yes, he does draw pictures on the bored (which helped me).
Lectures for the entire class. Rarely leaves early. Lecture can jump from chapter to chapter in minutes, easy to zone out. 4 take home quizzes, easy As. Used as a buffer for the midterm (class avg. 50%) and final (class avg 55%). Exams are very difficult, you need to really study to do well. Exams are book content not lecture content. READ THE BOOK

Record his classes and listen to them on repeat. Read the book. Make sure you get 100s on the take home exams/quizzes. There is no distinction between lab and class material so pay attention to his lectures in lab as the info will be on the tests/midterm. Start studying early in the semester to not fall behind.
I have him as a professor ATM and he's awful. He lectures all class and draws on the board expecting us to know what hes talking about. I haven't learned anything, I been copying notes from his canvas and teaching myself. I went on vacation and informed him weeks before I would not be in two classes and he gave me a 0. Knowledgable. Too knowledgable. I couldn't keep up with his lectures because he was going so in depth every class for things we didn't even need to know. He focused very intensely on physiology and never really touched on anatomy. His labs were basically another lecture. Only plus was he had take home quizzes.

There are hard classes, & then there's Dr. Moskowitz class. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. When class average was a 36%, he told us it wasn't his fault that we come from institutions where we were "coddled and spoon fed" material. Acts like he teaches at Penn - except to have to know complex A&P that is far beyond BIOL109. Must attend lectures to hope to pass
Take home tests, check. Lectures, terrible. (Talks so much, even about weird jokes. You wont even know what you just learned by the end of lecture.) I feel like he purposely makes Finals hard. I literally studied so hard for everything he said to study for and he only gave like 8 tissue questions , and the body anatomy was more surface markings..

Gets off topic, study notes and even parts of book are irrelevant to exams, powerpoints only contain photos, so most of what you need to know is verbal, even tho he mostly spends time talking about personal theories and VERY inappropriate "jokes" (made an abortion joke once) He clearly doesn't care about students. exam averages are so low.
WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. he literally whispers during lectures, puts material on the test that we didn't even go over (on the final exam). He even admitted it before we took the final. He rambles so much and all he does is draw pictures. You have to learn EVERYTHING yourself. Exam averages were 35 for all exams

He is knowledgeable, fair and will help especially students who are making an effort. No spoon-feeding. To do well, read before class and use the study guides included with the textbook and his own. Take good notes and review them frequently. You will need to understand the material, not just memorize it, so study daily.
Worst professor I have ever had. At the start of the semester, tells us he has a bunch of days off, 5 classes to be exact. Then he has to squeeze in a ton of material because of those missed days. Gives take home tests to make up for it. Study guides do not match material on tests. Basically, read the whole text and teach yourself this course.
