So easy, so funny.

HE is funny, all of his quizes and tests (2) are take home, you do them at home and fill it in the scantron in class. He is extremely easy, but you learn alot from him! best teacher ever!

Tests are 100 multiple choice and can be tricky. Do the take-home quizes and the envirn. scans and that will help. He hates when people walk in late and talk in class. He's funny and likes to tell stories.

He is the best teacher in the marketing department. You learn so much from him. His papers are easy and he is an easy grader. Don't miss the day before the midterm or the final because he tells you exactly what he will test you on!

Fantastic class! His jokes are pretty funny and keep you paying attention. Study guide is exactly what's on the exam. Don't blow off the study guide. It looks like just an outline of what's in the book, but it's exactly what's on the exam! Take him!!!!!!

Gotta love old man O'Keefe. Interesting and funny professor. Not too much coursework and a pretty valuable little class. You're sure to get a laugh out of him, just don't be late for class or talk during his lectures.

Best Marketing teacher on the planet, two papers, Two Test's, and 6 take home quizes....its a walk in the park just listen to his class lectures and you will get an A

Definitely a hilarious professor. The take home quizzes help prepare you for the midterm and final exams. There are two environmental scans that need to be done, but can definitely help boost your grade. The midterm and final are a little challlenging, but come to class and take good notes.

Dr. O'keefe is great! His class can be boring at times and he'll jap out if you fall asleep. He gives useful information that you'll see again. Professor O'Keefe is a good professor. Yea, sometimes the class gets a bit boring, but its a rather easy class. 5 take home quizzes, a midterm final and 2 environmental scans. His lectures can be funny at times. I'd definitely take him again.

Nice professor; pay attention to his lectures and transparencies in class; most of your notes will come from the book. Just show up to class on time, take good notes and you'll get an A

Great class! O'keefe is awesome - he makes class fun, but pay attention or he will call you out on it - a bunch of take home quizzes, 2 major exams, straight from studying the book and the take home quizzes - i enjoyed going to his class, it was never a drag and he make it fun - take him!

One of THE easiest teachers i've ever had. Although be warned this is primarily a lecture class, you should be in class to be on his good side. Midterm review given, Final was take home. Other then that he gives one paper to write, which is 2pages long. Easy A. BTW I took this over the summer.

Ok. This guy is very boring and gives the longest lectures ever. He really doesn't look for students to participate, but yells at them if you sleep or talk. I would recommend taking this guy for any Marketing class. His lectures are really boring and he has mood swings like it is his job. His class is really easy though. Not hard to do good in this class just do the take home quizzes and enviornmental scans and you will be fine.

Hes pretty easy overall. His lectures are long and boring. It's like he's talking to himself throughout the entire class, without any input from students. But, his examples are clear and to the point. I would definitely take him again. Pretty cool and easy.

Best teacher at DePaul by far. He is very organized, knows his stuff, and uses outside examples to show how marketing effects business. I thought he was great and a fair grader too. Although, I am a marketing major so I found this class interesting.

The class is really boring, he just reads powerpoint slides for the whole 90 minutes, every class. Do NOT make a peep in his class and try to look interested in what he is saying otherwise he will call you out on it. has mood swings like it's nobody's business and snaps at the smallest sh*t but jokes around every once in a while too. easy class

He doesn't give A's for free but they aren't hard to earn. Just a couple of papers that aren't hard and a few quizes that are all take-home quizzes. Keeps class pretty interesting, I would recommend him.

He does not engage the class. Lectures are 2hrs of reminiscing old business week articles. Good for an overview course but really a big snoozefest. P.S. The book's website provides chapter quizzes which are remarkably similar to the questions on the class quizzes and tests.

He's a great professor! Very clear. Always avaliable during office hours and will make an appt with you if times conflict. He's exams are straight forward. The assignemnts are simple and fun to do. The quizes are take home for the most part. summer sesssion takes him their finals unlike fall, winter, and sring sessions

Such a good prof. Teaches off slides and videos but quizes are all take home and the tests are really easy. He is also hilarious and keeps the class intrested by telling stories. Warning though do not be late for class and always act like your paying attention or he'll call you out in front of the class.

Great Teacher. Easy class. Homework is fairly easy. Read the book and you will get an A in the class. Lecture notes are based of the book.

His experience in both the marketing & teaching worlds shows. He is a pretty easy going man as long as students respect him. Pay attention & act interested; you will be almost guaranteed an A. However, talk during class or show up late; he will call you out. He gives a lot of extra credit in addition to 4 quizzes, 2 papers, midterm & final.

He is an amazing professor. Lectures are boring, but he does show movies. Very caring about his students, gives 2 easy papers, 5 take home quizes. He gave us the final as a take home exam as well. Does not grade hard.

He is the best teacher i have ever seen, he made the final take home which helped almost everybody and got an "A".do this following thing you and you should be fine...read chapter, slide, attain every class, do the extra credit, and do the papers-easy points.tests are extremely hard...final is sometimes take home

Endorsed! He is a true businessman and real leader as well. He doesn't give a damn about what you feel because he is not your nanny, instead he tells you what you have to know to be valuable in the world of business. Get used to it! If you don't like it maybe you should start painting, become a yoga teacher or something in this area. Good Teacher!

The class is all lecture and MidTerms and Final are 100 questions. Make sure you study the book chapters and you will be fine. The Professor is a good and fair grader. If you show up to the class do your best and talk to him when you need help he will understand.

I really enjoyed this class and professor. You must work a little, but there are no surprises. Take home quizzes, two reports, and two tests with automatic 10 pt E.C.. He may seem rude sometimes but only to the people who seem to deserve it. Other than that he has great stories, opinions, and fairly laid back professor with much knowledge.

Don't be afraid to take him cuze of the two ppl who have him all 1's hes not bad at all like 8 take home quizes two reports and final and mid term...just go to class and try to relate to the material because the final and midterm covers everything. basically have to study for like 2 weeks out of the 10...Take him!!!!

He is a great guy! Don't show up late, text, or talk during class and you will be golden. As long as you are a respectful person, he will be just as respectful back to you. He is very seasoned in the marketing field, so pay attention. Studying is required along with two case analyses. I highly recommend anyone, marketing major or not, to take him!

Take home quizzes, 100 pts midterm (hard), take home final, 1 easy paper, 1 group paper, given for the first time. To all the comments bellow, yes he mentioned the midterm questions in his lectures. They just didn't listen. I didn't buy the book, but it is a little bit time-consuming to google the answers for the quiz and the final. TAKE HIM!

he tells funny jokes and is approachable. do not wear hats!(he hates it when he sees anyone wearing them in class), no texting!he will call u out..midterm is hard so go over ppts, book is not needed! final is a a no-brainer, this class will boost ur gpa

Professor O'Keefe admittedly is very boring, but the class is pretty easy. There are 5 quizzes, a midterm, 2 easy papers/analyses, and a take home final. The midterm was the hardest part of the class, but I probably should have studied more. Take him definitely.

He is so boring. Everything is open book take home except for the mid term, so that's the only thing you have to study for. Try to take this class with people you know because there is a group assignment at the end of the quarter, and you don't want to get stuck with idiots like I did.

He makes this class really boring. There is an individual assignment, group project, mid-term, and final. There are also assessment quizzes on the mid-term and final. He doesn't give out take home final like people said. This class isn't hard though if you read through the powerpoints. Everyone relied on him giving the take home final.

Like the other reviews, he is extremely boring. If you're lucky he'll crack an inappropriate joke or two. Talks the entire time from the powerpoints. Don't even bother buying the book or the MyLab, didn't even touch it. Everything is clear on what to expect and no surprises on the final. Quizzes are on the final so memorize them.
