I signed up for professor O'Meara's PSC 101 class this spring semester 2011 and I should have dropped right away. No powerpoint slides, talks the WHOLE entire class time, (my class was for almost 4 hours one day a week), discussions are boring and pointless. His assignments don't make sense at all, including the term paper assigned. Run away!!!
Hes a pretty good teacher, just read the sections he gives easy homework and two easy essays not hard to a good grade in just do your HW!!!
I took online class over summer 2011. I did not buy the textbook because it was too expensive. All you need to do is open each week's unit and make three comments. You don't need a textbook to do that. You need to write two papers. Other than that there was absolutely no input at all by the instructor. He takes a long time to post your grades.
I took the online summer class and I thought it was very straightforward. Everything is well organized and I really have no complaints about the class. The professor is also helpful. I would take him again.
Very boring, didnt enjoy attending class ever. all he did was ramble. i didn't feel like i was learning anything. 2 papers that he issued didn't make sense to me.
My worst experience at CSN! No doubt he knows his politics, but he knows nothing about how to engage students. VERY boring, most of the time he ranted on about stuff that could have been summed up in half the time. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to learning more about politics, but I walked away learning very little.
Instructor is very enthusiastic about course subject. Students are expected to engage in group and class discussions. Multiple textbooks.
TAKE this class! Prof. O'Meara is an amazing teacher and really knows a lot about Politics in general. If you read the chapters and are willing to discuss what you think then this is an EASY A. Mid-term and Final papers only! Responses on the chapters due each week but only a paragraph. He is willing to help you if you just ask!
Professor O`Meara is very knowledgeable in political science and brings up a lot of interesting things in relation to the subject. You do have to read a lot and write two responses to each chapter. That is actually how you learn. If you go to school to learn something and not because somebody wanted you to go this class is definitely your choice.
Didn't really use the textbook because I just went off of his notes. Has you do discussion boards every week plus 2 papers. Easy A as long as you participate on the dicussion boards. I had this class online.
I LOVED HIS ONLINE CLASS. He was very helpful-TAKE HIS CLASS!He gives out plenty of extra credit. If someone doesn't pass this class-they are plain lazy. he is super easy.
his class i very easy. he doesn't make exams, just responses and 2 papers. you need 3 books, but he helps you to understand the materia. i think he is the best politics teacher. he doesnt make you memorize things instead he wants you to understand.
great professor highly recommend him!! fun class , he likes debates. provides outline of course at beginning of year so you know what is expected. No reason why someone can pass this class. just do reflections and 2 papers and interact with class in discussions
Professor O'meara is really passionate about politics. His goal is to get people discussing how they feel about policies, government etc. It is a lot of reading, writing responses from 3 different texts, and group participation. I would only go into this class if you can handle a good amount of workload &if you're somewhat knowledgeable in politics
I hate political science,so it would be hard for me. However he was the best teacher ever. Just do the reading and writting a paragraph a week to the pools and one final paper it was an easy A. Love it! I wish all the on line classes were like this one.
No doubt O'meara knows his politics, unfortunately he has terrible teaching skills and he tends to ramble. He gives no feedback & doesn't grade assignments so you're clueless to where you stand. asked him several times about my work & grades. I was told "good job keep it up!" I was shocked at my final grade. Unfortunately he's the only one for 231
Class over all is pretty easy and I did find that the class become interesting the more I got in to it. I have to say though that Professor O'Meara was not as helpful as I would of liked. I also found his syllabus to be confusing and repetitive.
This course was one of the most interesting courses I took so far despite the fact that I had no prior interest in politics. there are no tests but a lot of reading and each week we had to write 6 short papers, read other students papers, and discuss them it with each other. The final paper is 7 to 10 pages. This course is easy and fun.
So if you want an easy class that basically expects you to teach yourself and gives you NO FEEDBACK what so ever... This is the course for you. I don't know how he is in person, but online it is terrible. Very confusing, repetitive, doesn't engage, just gives half hearted encouragement. I'm sure he known politics but he doesn't know how to teach
This was an 8 week class. Participation intensive, there were 6 posts per week and 6 responses to others posts as well as a final 7-10 page paper. Of 3 required books I only used 2, On Democracy and Taking Sides. Professor wants depth, but he is mostly hand off. I never spoke with him. Takes his time to grade. Easy class, would take it again.
Dr. O'Mears is indeed passionate about politics. The class is very fun, provided people read the material prior to class, engage in the discussion during class, and take an interest in what he has to say. His material is far more relevant to people than most think especially if you take some time to reflect on it. I highly recommend him.
He does not follow the syllabus and goes at his pace, so you can get assignments in earlier or later then the syllabus mention. He says he is will not mention his political ideology but he is obvious liberal. 2 papers + one group project, 6 taking sides, and write a paragraph or two each week on the books.
Dr. O'Meara is very passionate about politics and our government. He will bring your understanding to a new level. I enjoyed the class. Two good sized papers, one group project and responses to the chapters for the week. Alot of writing but no TESTS. Awesome
A TON of reading, and from books that I had no interest in. Online participation daily. Do not get feedback on grades, so you do not know what you are doing wrong. Did not learn a thing, and will be retaking at Nevada State!I thought I deserved a much higher grade!
Online class, The directions were clear and the assignments are not difficult, mostly read from the book, research, 1 paper. This teacher was the worst, he takes a long time to grade, doesn't grade correctly, does not give feedback. All he does is leave comments like 'good job' to the class. He hardly responds to questions or emails and was rude.
Dr. o Meara, I love his class online, its a liberating view into the world of politics. He knows his stuff. Genius--- just commit to the work and you'll pass...
Took this class online. Heavy use of the textbooks. You must interact online daily as participation is a big part of your grade. Final 7- 10 page paper on politics that must relate back to book. Paper must include an outline and a 1 page letter to a government official. Easy A if you follow instructions and participate frequently in discussions.
There were no tests or exams. You can get away with not reading a couple of chapters, however, your participation is heavily graded. We did at least 3 group projects and watched some movies. Groups are assigned certain chapters and later present to class what you read. Very helpful and clear, I recommend!
Easy class. Took the 8 week course. A lot of discussion posts and replies but get them done and you will get a good grade. One final 7-10 paper. I would recommend this class and this instructor. Made Political Science interesting!
He does not give tests or a final. He does give weekly journals, which require three, 1 paragraph responses to the text and must complete 6 issue responses throughout the semester. The class is easy, if you keep up the work when it's due. Do not procrastinate, it's not that hard. Attendance is a grade. He pretty much lectures all class.
I took the 8-week course. Weekly readings from two books with 3 discussion replies on each unit (2week on 8-week course). One final (7-10pgs) with outline and letter. Amazing class! Great professor who is willing to help and clarify any misunderstandings.
Did I learn anything from this class? NO. It may have been better if it were offered in person. 3x entries a week, and your expected to respond to other students entries. Why I don't know. it's a waste of time. Slow grading, and no actual reason given as to why your grade was low, 7-10 page final paper. I will never take an online class again. Eva
really easy class. people just need to stop being lazy! keep up with the journal entries and listen to the lectures, they can get interesting. if you participate and keep up with the work it'll be an easy A. oh and argue if you don't agree. he likes hearing other peoples views on stuff that goes on in the world today.
Took an 8 week online class. No tests, papers, or finals. We had 15 units with 4 discussion posts per unit (8 required posts per week, plus responses to peers). Discuss with classmates, respond at least a few times, and you'll be golden. Clear, good professor.
8 week online course. No papers/essays/tests. 6 discussion posts a week, you get to choose which b/c he gives many different posts to reply to. A little confusing what he wants at first, but you get it. One book is mandatory for 2 discussion posts a week, but the other one you don't have to use b/c he asks for a lot of online research. Easy!
online class 2016. Tough grader! You have to respond to 3 posts a week per ch. AND at least respond to 2-3 peers per posted discussion. If your peers already say everything there is to say on a subject you have to come up with something else. Very hard to do in a class like this. Not much to work with and he grades very harshly. NOT HELPFUL at all!
Assigned 3 discussions to be completed in 3 days 2x a week but if you don't do more than assigned you will not get an A. He never tells you this, you have to find out on your own. No lectures, only teach yourself from a book he helped write and one other. Makes discussions you have to pay to watch movies for, websites he gives for help don't exist!
I took his Psc class online I had to answer 3 questions 6x a week. The questions are easy because you can pull a ton of stuff from the Web and paraphrase as long as you cite it. Required to buy two books but I only used the On Democracy By Dahl. If I took the class again I would not buy the extra book. Respond to tons of ppl for an easy A.
4 week online class, 2 "lessons" each week, each lesson lasted 3 days. You reply to like 3 discussion posts. He puts a lot of posts to choose from each unit so you can choose. Also encourages outside research to be used in the posts so tbh I barely read. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it and stay on top of it all. He's a little mia.
I took the 3-unit World Geography with him and a 4-unit German language class. Both online in one semester. I worked harder in his class and got a lower grade than in German. LOTS of homework and textbook chapters are long, but I learned more geography than German.
Don't miss class! 1/3 of your grade is based on group work. He loves to talk and doesn't care for much input from students! So much group projects/classwork!! He didn't give a single inclination of where I was grade-wise until I got my grade. Offered "extra credit" in an email at 1am exactly one day before grades were to be posted.
Took the 4 hour lecture in person every week. It was interesting but it gets boring because its long. I would recommend to take the shorter hour for this class even if it will be twice a week. Easy, attend his class because attendance is graded. No exams, just response every week (2 from book, 1 from Dahl), group report for finals.
No quizzes or test just answer three questions that you choose from the list of questions he gives you every week. This class was pretty easy you just have to remember to turn in those three questions every week and respond to as many students as you can and you'll be fine. Act like you know what you're talking about and RESPOND TO STUDENTS!
Took an 8 week online course with this professor for PSC. While I can appreciate that I learned a lot, I was very disappointed with the lack of teaching. It is a teach yourself class and his grading is NOT clear! To get an "A" you MUST do more than he says is required to get an "A" for every assignment. He wont tell you this but it's what he wants.
Read read read teach yourself cause he won't teach you. He wants to have debates since day one and it goes on and on. No structure just read and write he is nice and available all week all day
There are no exams, no quizzes and no essays! The professor dose assign alot of homework, which is an easy A if you complete it all. The homework is difficult but it's worth it because that's all he assigns. And, a group presentation on the last day of class.
You are basically on your own in this online class. I hardly ever heard from the professor except when he grades. Do 3 discussion reply posts on the boards. I felt like I was just buying the book and reading it on my own and posting on the boards. No class feel at all. Such a pity
The absolute worst! Take this class in person you will probably learn more
I really liked this teacher he is very nice and fair. I emailed him a few times and always received a response back. Yes he maybe a little slow at grading, but who knows how many classes he is teaching. Most teachers today have to teach several classes to pay their bills. I understand why he is slow at grade. He has no tests which is awesome.
1st week of class: I'm not going to let my political biases effect the class discussions. This is your class in which to discuss ideologies amongst yourself. I'll just help guide discussion. Rest of the semester: Good morning class. What's the square root of screw Trump. For extra credit why is the right always wrong.
took ONLINE 8 week course he is very easy to talk to always there to help just call him. MUST BUY THE ON DEMOCRACY BOOK never touched the actual text book. No tests instead pick & answer at least 3 out of the questions he posts 1 must be "On Democracy" he DQs open on Mon closes wed next chapter Thurs closes Sat ALWAYS DO PEER RESPONSES ATLEAST 4
Really enjoyed his class. Nothing to do but research and post your discussion with your research online on the discussion board. Overall, the class was very easy and definitely recommend for those who need a social science credit with an international background to transfer over at UNLV.
He's a great professor. Participate in discussions and write the responses and you'll get a great grade. He offers extra credit opportunities and actually teaches you about the political system and climate. You'll leave his class more informed than when you went in.
i liked the class, it just seems his grading of certain units were weird. i was consistent in what i posted in the discussions, but my grade per unit bounced from A to C to A. he didn't reply to my email about this , so i don't know what happened. i wish he was an active participant in the forum, b/c it felt like we were teaching ourselves.
Graded on attendance(large percentage of grade) and weekly written assignments on assigned readings. Its not hard to get an A in the class but if you have a long lecture its torture . Watch a lot of videos, movies on current events . Each lecture usually consisted of his personal rants on current events . No tests .
This is an easy class but its very time consuming. No essays or tests; you only have to respond to 3 discussions per unit and respond to your peers' posts. The discussions are very simple topics asking for your opinion but you must cite source to back up your claims. You will read the whole "On Democracy" book by Dahl; class textbook not required.
Awesome professor! Very knowledgeable and is open to listen to opinions! Fairly easy class, just show up and do your work and PARTICIPATE!!!i walked in not knowing much about politics but he constantly reminds us how important it is to watch the news and to be aware of whats going on! Definitely recommend!
Attendance mandatory but i recommend not skipping any class because they are very informative and also interesting!!! No quizzes or exams (woohoo) but lots of reading and homework (still better than quizzes lol) you can tell how passionate he is about PSC. One of my fave classes he is a great teacher:)
Dr. OMeara will get you to care about whats going on in the world because it affects you. He cares about your role in the society. He often rants about the news, especially in the state that were in right now politically. He does not give exams/quizzes. Attendance is NECESSARY!! Whether you like it or not, you will talk in the class!
Can't pass this class by only doing assigned work. You have to do extra work to make it by. My grade was constantly jumping around even though my work was consistent. Responds to questions with questions. Very vague and unhelpful professor, really tough grader. Would NOT take a class with him ever again. I'm an A student who scraped by with a B.
Omeara was a great teacher and very understanding about any situation, this class was 4 credits, once a week, for 4 hours. It sounds like a lot but for an easy grade its worth it . Hes super nice and just wants people to get involved in politics. There was no tests, finals , or quizzes just papers on easy chapters in which he grades very good.
Professor O'mera was overall a good professor. All he wants is for people to be involved so participation is what he is looking for in class. As long as you do the work you will do just fine. You have to do responses for every chapter of the textbook and a smaller book. No quizzes, no tests. Just a group presentation and the responses.
This was the easiest class I took this semester! I was scared to take this PSC 101 class simply because I am not interested in the subject. NO TESTS OR QUIZZES! Just 3 discussion posts each week that are really easy and basically your own opinion. All you need is one credible source to back your post. Comment on other classmates posts. Super Easy!!
Lots of writing. If you don't like writing 20+ 2 page papers, may not be for you. Would often get off track with current political topics. Professor made his political views well known, International Relations seemed to often get lost in this. Class was still great, lots of work though.
Took as an 8 week online summer class. Great Class! As long as you participate 100% you will get a passing grade. Only down fall, I got points knocked off but he would never say why. I'm sure if you reach out to him he would tell you though. No end of class paper! This class was solely graded on class discussions ONLY. USE CREDIBLE SOURCES.!
Took omeara for an eight week class and it wasnt the best decision. Took it as a 4 hour class every other day, and was excited because no exam if you passed what he made to seem to be an easy assignment. Graded it super tough even if everything was included, the syllabus is available but hes really unclear on what exactly it is you need to do.
The online class is all discussion posts. Post at least 3 comments per week. Class is super easy. Sometimes I felt like I learned a lot, other times I wasn't so sure. Overall, the class structure is nice. Professor is willing to give you a little more time to post on discussion posts if you need it. A lot of current events mentioned.
I took his hybrid class which was 4hours long. we met once a month & it made things alot easier. Taking him was the best decision. He doesnt have any exams or quizzes &he eliminates the final paper. We just had to post three discussions every week. He us a tough grader but other than that the class was really easy. wish more teachers were like him
Prof. O'Meara is a big liberal and his grading shows it. If you comment in your homework an opinion that he doesn't like you might as well kiss your grade goodbye. I started out posting my homework (discussion board) receiving all A's, I then posted on USA migration and all of the sudden I was barely passing. I would suggest finding someone else.
I took this online. In short, it's not a class. It is 10 weeks of ultra liberal indoctrination run by a career student (O'Meara) from back East who has a clear agenda. Any student who posts an essay that doesn't go along with the agenda that is backed with real fact and real world experience is immediately censured and then threatened with failing.
Profesor OMeara was wonderful! The class covers 15 units. Each unit you will have to respond to 3 questions of your choice. (1 from the Dahl & 2 from American Politics) You must cite all sources and be very detailed. He is a bit of a tough grader but as long as you research and cite you will do good! No quizzes, test, final, or essays.
O'Meara skips testing/ quizzes so long as you can tie in textbook material to current events and show that you learned something. Basically 3 essays/unit in the summer class. If you are not a self-starter, this will be difficult. Textbook required, but he allows you to use older versions. Learned a lot but expectations weren't always clear.
Took this class online for the summer, its a 4 week class. No homeworks, no tests, just be prepared to read. Not a hard class, just a lot of work and reading.
Horrible professor. Usually ignores when international students talk to him even though the students who next to them understand.
The course started off fairly well. A couple of times I wasn't able to get my posts in by the deadline, but as noted by another student, he's pretty cool about that. This last month, however; little to no response to my email, inconsistent grading, no resolution to my issues. Not enough space here to go into detail. So frustrating.
I never took an online class and I was nervous but once we got going the class was really enjoyable!
He's always 15-20 minutes late for class. If you aren't a liberal or like Trump you will be graded differently. It's supposed to be a critical thinking class, but you can't really have an independant thought without it affecting grades
I applied for Summer 2020 for a 6 week class. What confused me the most about this class was all the unnecessary information given for this course. Information is scattered everywhere and vague! Ask for information and he simply restated what I had said. I do not recommend this course online at all, if you do good luck!
The online course is nothing but discussion posts which means no tests or essays. However he does make the emphasis that he wants students to engage with one another. The reading material can be a lot sometimes with the textbooks and articles you have to research. As long as you follow instructions you'll do good in his class.
The worst professor Ive ever had. The only assignments are weekly discussion posts out of 15 points. If you dont cite both texts, its one point for each text for each question. Irregardless of what you actually say. Even if you do cite both texts and give lengthy answers, hell comment more text? And take points. Doesnt teach anything either.
Whatever you do, dont take any of his classes. He teaches nothing and expects you to guess what he wants through his vague syllabus. He has no intention of making you a political scientist or improving your critical thinking/logic skills. He wants you to regurgitate the text books and fall in line with the higher education hive mind. Terrible prof
In the online class you have 4 discussion questions a week for a total of 15 points a week. He never gives in-depth grading responses so the reason you were deducted points is a mystery. He does not reply to comments or emails. If he doesnt like you as a person, he will represent that in his grade book.
I was a student of this professor in Fall 2020, I was not a fan of his class what so ever. I contacted the professor multiple times about my grades. He gave the same sobbed reason every time. I exceeded his requirement for his weekly discussions which were the ONLY thing we were graded on. He gave me the same grade every week.
All you have to do is answer discussion posts (for his online geo class). Super easy.. a lot of reading. If you have questions its best to call him because he prefers to actually talk. Not a hard online course.. just make sure to do the readings as well as reply to others discussion posts
I would never take this professor again, if he wasn't the only one teaching classes I NEED for my degree. For one he is a tough grader, but you really have no idea why you are deducted points. He'll give you something like 13.23/15... seriously dude? Also, in online you are 100% teaching yourself and PSC is exactly the same. Super uninteresting
There is a ridiculous amount of work for a one credit hour class. He is very tough with the grading too. This class is terrible and extremely boring. What a waste of time
This professor SUCKS! He cannot provide clear instructions in either his Syllabus or for the Discussion Boards. He grades completely unfairly and cares more about his leftist ideology and pushing it on students than teaching. If you disagree with anything he says, you will fail the assignment and the course. I dropped the course for that reason.
You can easily get an A if you do the work. Be prepared to read a lot. But there were no tests, essays, or final. He had us read two books, write a response on those books, and then research two diff topics related to the text. He really grades hard on INTERACTING with each other and CITING! Make sure you cite EVERYthing.
I took an 8-week course online and it was mentally exhausting. There is a lot of work but there was no exam and no tests, it was just a lot of discussion posts which I was satisfied with. Overall the course was easy it was just a lot of work which I can understand why because it's an 8 weeks course.
I went from Hating this class to actually enjoying it at the end. I'm not sure I would recommend his 8 week course as it was very assignment heavy. Each we we had to read from 3 different books at the same time and post about them while choosing a 4th discussion "Issue" to research and post about as well. Over all If you do the work, you pass.
First, three books for one class is ridiculous. Secondly, he is easy to reach, but if you call him out for giving you the wrong grade, he tells you to send the proof, so you do, and he still doesn't change the grade. I am an A student and got a C in this class if you need to understand how difficult he is.
I took his 8-week online course and it was a nightmare! 3 books that you read simultaneously, then you write 4 posts due wednesday, then 4 due saturday. So 8 posts a week total, which are from 500-1000 words long! I had no time for my other classes. The professor was rude and unresponsive. Expected us to get books before the class even started.
I bought books for this class the first day of the class, but they wouldn't get delivered until a week later. Called the professor to let him know and to ask if I could do the first assignments late. He was extremely rude and condescending on the phone, told me I should have gotten the books way ahead of time, despite enrolling in the class late.
As a professor himself he's fine but the class itself is all discussions and very writing heavy. I suggest not taking this the same semester as an English class, or picking a different professor cause the writing block you get is real and kinda exhausting. You pretty much have to read the textbook. Also he grades pretty late.
I am taking his class for a summer session. It is VERY text heavy. You have 8 discussion boards due a week and 3 books in total to read, PLUS you need to find more info online via articles or videos. You can do good in this class if you try HARD. 1 discussion take about 3 hours of work at minimum. And he is a very slow grader.
Do not take his classes! Rude and unresponsive
I took this as an online, eight-week. This course has no quizzes, exams, or homework. But it comes at a price. The entire class is numerous heavily-graded discussion assignments every week. You HAVE to read through 2 of 3 assigned textbooks to answer required discussions. Strict grading; little to no feedback, laissez-faire style of teaching.
I loved this class and the professor is fair. Yes, you read a lot but it's all exciting topics. He also gives lots of options and you can choose topics to write about other than the books. Including videos and movies, you can discuss with your classmates. 10/10 would recommend
Honestly, it wasn't a bad class. There are 15 assignments in total, each with 3 original responses and a response to someone else. There are 3 textbooks with lots of reading. For discussions, you need to form your own opinions and cite the textbook for EVERYTHING. Seriously, I didn't cite 1 textbook on 3 discussions and I was graded 70% on them.
This was a one credit class and was not hard. However, you just have to make sure you read the book, answer 3 total unit questions per unit (this includes if you respond to classmates post), and do outside research. Just make sure you cite everything you use from the book or outside sources as the professor is very strict on that.
Graded very harshly and gives very little feedback.
I think this class was pretty easy I could understand some people having issues with it but as long as you don't procrastinate and you actually do the work its pretty easy. Just a lot of reading.
Don't take him. He graded very slowly and gave minimal feedback which made it hard to understand what he wanted. He graded very harshly and when emailed to ask for clarification he would state the same thing on the feedback notes. He was not helpful at all. The overall set up of the class was very nice, however the course was ruined because of him.
Took a while to grade and gave no feedback. Did not make sense what was needed and when emailed said the same thing. The work seems easy and very easy to find the sources needed. Just was not helpful or not trying to help in any way. Do not take.
He assigned something titled 'unit 1 intro discussion' and gave no additional information. There was also a syllabus quiz so I thought that was the unit 1 assignment. I got a 0 on it and emailed him right away. He ignored my email, then sent an email to the whole class saying almost nobody did the assignment and he will drop those people.
Lots of reading every week. Sooo much reading. Maybe don't take his class unless you're interested in the material itself and not just taking it for credits lol. Big mistake on my part.
This was honestly my easiest class this semester. Yes his lectures are long but all you have to do is pitch in sometimes and it goes by fast. There is some group work but very simple. You do have some reading every week for hw, it usually took me an hour to read and write a 1 page response. Simple and everything laid out in his syllabus.
Heavy on the reading, with lots of discussion boards to complete each week. The professor grades strictly but can be slow to provide feedback. unstuck ai proved helpful for study prep alongside the textbooks.
For this subject, reading books and consulting many sources is reasonable. In this subject, the teacher only takes points for homework and attendance, so I got full marks. There are no tests, which is great. But the class is 4 hours and only listening and talking, so sometimes it is quite tiring. The teacher still gives me break time.
I just finished his class. The professor has a lot of expectations. He is a hard instructor when it comes to grading, but it does come from a way in order to better you as a student. He does leave comments on how you can better improve the next assignments, so take with it as you will. It is a LOT of reading. Overall a good eye opener course.
Class contains 16 discussions. Grading policy for discussions isn't clearly stated in the lengthy syllabus. Spent the whole semester fixing my grade after struggling to find what he wanted for the first discussions. He doesn't teach, as he wants discussions to be student-driven, but the majority of students do not care enough to make a discussion.
Took Robert's PSC 246 online class but I didn't see it as an option so I'm leaving the review here. Weekly responses with no midterms or finals made the experience pretty easy to handle. Difficulty came for me when the reading was at times extremely "academic". Not all books were bad though. He has a lot to grade and at times can miss responses.
