This man stands in front the class and talk for hours, his tests have nothing to do with the material that is on the tests and it is a waste of time trying to dictate his lectures. DON'T TAKE THIS MAN'S CLASS

His lectures were incredible, incredibly boring. I literally wanted to pull my eardrum out through my nose, just not to hear him talk. He lectured as if he was having a conversation with another history professor, meaning himself. He sucks bricks.

I got a 40 on the final exam and that was after i studied what he told me to study. Im still pissed about that. he reads everything from the book and the class is so boring that you can hear more yhawns than pages turning in the text. You could not pay me to take his class ever again.

Really hard professor. If you have other classes with lots of reading, do not take his class. This class requires tremendous amount of reading. If you don't read, you will fail. There are no exam reviews and you can not keep the questionaires. Really not recommended!

Do not take this professor if you want to keep your GPA safe. Took him and my GPA sunk like the titanic. Exams are extremely difficult-over 70 mc. Gives one paper. Be careful with him, any little thing he will accuse of plagiarism. Lectures are boring, exams have nothing to do with lectures or text. Get ready to read 3 chapters before each class.

He is the worst professor in the country. I am an honor student and his class was extremely difficult and I paid attention and took notes. He makes the exams extremely difficult. The curves barely help because it is so hard. When you ask him questions, he does not give you any help. He does care about his students. He is a shame to York College.

I am warning you, do not take this professor. You will regret it and feel helpless and hopeless. His lectures and the text give way too much unnecessary information. He keeps talking and does not stop to see if anyone understands. He does not care about his students. He assigned a 3-5 page paper when he admitted that he did not cover the topic.

This professor is horrible do not take his class. He is extremely boring and doesnt give any chance for questions. He grading criteria is strict. Do not miss class. His test are quite easy if you know the material. And he gave me an F on my paper and a few others in the class because he didnt like what we wrote about. What we wrote wasnt off topic.

Do not take him. You are better off reading a book to learn. Dont expect anything higher then a C. He is passionate about history but too passionate where he is just yelling dates at you and you do not know what the dates mean. one paper but he grades hard i was the only one with a B in my class. test on curves because everyone fails.

If you have a busy schedule good luck. You HAVE to read. He is the only professor in York College that gave me a F. Takes attendance seriously, have to pay attention in class, and read the text to understand. If you are not ready to read, take notes, read the textbook then don't take him.

Avoid him at all cost. Hard class to pass. Test are multiple choice but extremely hard. This is the first class that I got a low grade and I'm a science major and a senior. He sounded like he wants everybody to pass, but he is a tough grader. Few students got F's for the paper, lots of them got D's, many got C-

He's more likely to call you out in front of everybody, instead of respectably bringing you to the side or to his office to chat. Curves the test almost by 30 points because they're extremely hard. If you're not expecting to read as much and be lackadaisical this is the wrong professor to do so.

One of the hardest History Class I had to take. All he does is lecture, his test consist of short response and defining words from any point of the lecture.

3 words. Worst professor ever. And I mean it. All he does it talk complete lecture style, no visual aids or homework to help you understand or remember a thing he says. Horrible test marker and grades are completely uncalled for. 1 essay in the class but its bad. Taking notes is a nightmare, 50% of the time you wont even be able to understand it.

The professor makes the class so hard to keep up in. The lectures are monotonous and he throws so much random stuff out there. He gave me a C the midterm paper where we basically had to restate the textbook. He requires too much of you for this class and grades very harshly. If you actually want to learn something don't take this class.

Worst professor! Advise you not to take him if you want to save your gpa. He needs to retire and go somewhere far away. He gives one paper for semester but doesn explained anything. Even though his rating on here is low, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and took his course, being that I'm an A student so I should be fine. boy, was I wrong. His lectures consists of him just talking out to the class. Tests are graded unfairly. The paper is impossible because he expects such a high level. Will undermine your writing skills.

Absolutely the worst professor at York. His lectures are so long and boring, he speaks way too quick and expects you to catch up. He puts nothing up on blackboard, no handouts, no review papers, and really expects us to pass. Would not take this class or have him as my professor ever again. I'd avoid at all costs.

WORST Professor ever encountered. You feel like your suffocating in life with his boring and long lectures. No matter how hard you study you will fail!. He curves the entire class with extra 20-30 points because the whole class fails in exams. He knows it! He has to retire. No time to write notes- he's too fast. One 4-5 pg paper graded harshly.

The absolute worst professor! He is an extremely tough grader and he reads out of a textbook for 2 hours expecting you to highlight which information is important which you would never know cause he doesnt tell u. He is also very rude and sarcastic if u wanna pass do not take him!!

Worst prof Ive ever had in my life. Dont do it. He gives no instructions or guidelines for the papers/tests and failed everyone in my class for every single one. Then will say after that we did t understand the assignment. But in class when 25 people ask him to explain he says read the syllabus. I have never had a worse professor in my life

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This professor is horrible at communication and even more horrible at teaching a lesson. He reads from a textbook for the whole hour and 15 minutes ,no worksheets, no slides, no study guides, no homework related to the class work absolutely nothing. He will fail you and give no reasoning. My class had a confrontation with him.

I don't know what is going on! This professors teaching style is garbage! I'm not learning anything except for him yelling at class or raising his voice so loud. A five minute YouTube video covers the topic much better than his two times a week 1 and half hour sessions. Extremely monotonous and loud. No clear rubric or grading criteria!

By far the most awful professor and most awful course. How is this guy even a professor? Mr. Robert Parmet is an artifact just like the information that is taught in class. All outdatedand irrelevant! He doesn't create a welcoming class environment. Save your tuition and take another class. Save your GPA, money, and time. I got more off youtube.

Not relevant at all. Why CUNY? Why hire a relic with a poor attitude. He makes zero sense especially when he lectures about things that are not in text book or are relevant.

This course is terrible. The professor is outdated and often goes off-topic. He discourages questions and refuses to provide answers when you want to learn more. Worst professor ever. Plus, he was not a founding father of York College. He has outsmarted the system. We need professional professors that create welcoming environments for their student
