All that Whitman was pointless torture. But I guess that's just a course issue? I corrected errors on the quizzes and he said he would make sure those questions weren't on the final. But one was. It wasn't even covered anywhere. Quiz answers might be wrong. He uses test banks. Debate it and he may throw it out for you. Nice guy, frustrating class.

Really does a great job leading a discussion-based class where the discussions really create an atmosphere of understanding for everyone, even when the material is very abstract. Not afraid to voice his opinions, but more than willing to hear ours too. Great guy, super relatable. Tests weren't terribly difficult, but were frequent.

Robert Porter is truly one of a kind! Professors like him are rare and hard to come across. He genuinely cares about his students and their feedback. He has a very clear schedule. He is good at making connections between the real world and the textbook. I highly recommend taking any of his political science courses!

Prof. Porter provides a great, engaging class! Participation is important to succeed but if you don't want to talk, he doesn't force you. There's a lot of reading involved which is interesting if you're interested in learning about past philosophers and political thinkers, but boring if not.

Porter is a really great professor. His teaching style encourages students to talk to one another in order to come to conclusions on their own. He's very open minded and enjoys hearing everybody's opinion. There is a lot of reading and discussions in his Political Theory class, so be prepared. The midterm/final were take home exams/papers.

Easy class. He's an easy grader and you don't have to do a whole lot to get a good grade. Answers to quizzes, midterm and the final can be found online. Class consists mostly of watching a few short videos and giving your opinion. You do read a book though, but it's only a few pages/ week. Super easy and chill.

This is probably an easy A for most people. Just do the reading and discussions every week and you will be fine. There is a weekly test on the text book and weekly discussions on a book and other material like videos and articles. I got a C because I was hit by depression and fell behind. If you keep on top of things you should be fine.

No study guides at all, pulls test questions from really obscure stuff. Doesn't make it clear which things you need to focus on and remember. Class structured incredibly poorly. Makes you self-grade & it's like you're meant to remember every single thing you read and watch & the discussion questions don't even usually relate to what's on the exam.
