He is a great teacher to have for humanities. The class, the tests, and the quizzes are easy.

He is a very good teacher. He makes learning humanities fun. The material is very interesting and he is very helpful in helping you to learn it. Quizzes, exams and tests are easy because of this.

This is an easy class if you just go to it and study for the tests. I would take it again if I had too.

Quist is a good man. He explains everything, you learn a ton but its not difficult. You have quizzes every week but he tells you what's going to be on them and gives study guides for exams. It's cake and its interesting

This class seemed really boring...and almost pointless. He brings up good points about the art. But I wasn't really interested in the subject. It's an easy A though. He is nice.

Makes fun of himself so he makes you laugh, easiest class I have ever had. Art is interesting it just sucks when you have to listen to the music- I WOULD RECOMMEND 100%

Very boring class but easy professor. Go to class and you will be fine. He gives a quiz every week but they are very easy and always have a bonus point. Before the test he gives a study guide and if you study that, you will ace the test with no problems.

Very easy class and funny teacher. He will help you out in any way possible. Lectures are interesting and he welcomes any and all comments from the class, no matter how irrelevent, incorrect or just plain stupid. He is a VERY nice guy.

The quizzes are easy because you take them online but the test are ridiculous. There's so much information and there's only 7 questions on the test not to mention there are only two test throught the whole semester. But overall it's easy enough to get a C if that's what you're looking for.

I had a 3 hr class and that was no joke! BORING! The information is useless and its all just memorization. The quizzes are simple but the tests are OUTRAGEOUS! Hes cool, but this class was def not my favorite.

I took this to fill my cultural enrichment thing but I loved this class, it was very interesting and he's very passionate about what he's teaching which is always a plus. I definately reccomend this class, easy A plus you learn neat stuff.

Dr. Quist is by far my favorite teacher. He keeps lectures interesting and enjoyable. I loved coming to his class. He is so helpful, he wants you to succeed. He gives bonus quizzes all the time and bonus questions on regular quizzes. You have to spend time studying for his tests, which, if you know the material, it's a breeze. Easy A. Great teacher

Dr. Quist is a very classy guy. He is exactly what you would expect out of a humanities prof. He is very well educated and the class is pretty easy. It is broken down into three sections: Music, Paintings, and Greek Mythology. It is an easy A for any half-way intelligent human-being

Loved this professor. He was very easy as long as you attended class and read the material. He really created a passion for me for Humanities by taking his class! The only thing I disliked was that the mythology section seemed a little tainted by Judeo-Christian theology. (ie: Dionysus being compared to Satan!)

I love Dr. Quist! He is so funny, and he makes the class really interesting. There are quizzes every Friday that are just easy points, and his exams are really easy too. Just go over your notes and you should be fine.

Great teacher. Not too harsh, but still pushes you. He'll work with you in any way he can to make sure you do your best. Best of all, he's very passionate about what he teaches and it shows in class. Easily one of the best professors I've had.

By far one of the easiest classes that i've taken. The music part is kind of difficult because it requires you to be familiar with 30+ songs. After the music unit, it is pretty much smooth sailing. He enjoys to talk about sex and nudity a lot. People need to stop complaining, because he tells you what will be on his quizzes and exams.

Material isn't the most exciting stuff in the world, but you can tell he likes what he's teaching. Music section is a little difficult having to remember all different songs, but the rest is pretty easy. Show up and you'll do good.

Love this teacher, he enjoys what he's teaching and that's something that counts for a lot. The mythology section was awesome, goes in depth on Greek heroes which I thought was really interesting, and for the first time ever he actually made me interested in the tragedies.

Never met a professor that was so into what he was teaching. He is very interesting. Class is really easy and fun. This is a really good cultural enrichment class and highly recommended with Quist.

HILARIOUS!!! hes a good guy. He sang to us in class one day cuz he forgot his keyboard. the whole class roared with laughter. Quizes and Tests are kinda difficult so make sure to study the material and your notes.

Class is kind of difficult, and mini quizzes each weak. If you keep up with the reading, you'll do fine! Exams aren't that tough because he gives you an extensive study guide before hand. He loves what he teaches, and is a nice teacher overall!

fun to listen to. didn't even buy the 2 of 3 books because his lectures covered what you need to know. GO TO CLASS and you will pass with flying colors. i recommend note cards to study for tests. mini quiz each week. not hard at all as long as you study your notes. also speak up in class and ask questions. overall one of my favorite proffs so far

Very passionate guy, makes it interesting to listen to. He's way easier than the other prof who teaches, and is very relaxed. Books are dry but if you go to class you won't have to read them a whole lot. Tests and quizzes are cakewalks if you spend some time going over your notes.

His lectures are enthralling, until you notice all of the fallicies. He is passionate about what he teaches. He's nice. Terrible about grading tests and quizzes in a timely manner. I am highly irritated by his dismissive attitude toward all religions. Very opinionated on all things, and doesn't like being corrected, even if he can be proven wrong.

This is an awesome class!! You can tell he is passionate about this stuff! Take this class for sure, the quizes are super easy and the tests are multiple choice and then identify a few pieces! Make sure you study and go to class because he tells you everything you need to know! You don't use the book much but It does help as a reference!

I found his lectures very interesting, and easy to follow. He was available for help when needed, and was more than willing to take time to further explain when needed.

It sounds easy, then he starts talking, and you think "what the hell did i get myself into" but the tests are SO easy, and hes really laid back about grading. the "essay" questions are just short answer where you only need to write one word. his lectures are really confusing but if you write down all the mumbo-jumbo he says youll get A's.

Such an easy online class. All of the quiztest answers are in the power point notes. He is very understanding and fair. Highly recommend.

Basically, show up to class, watch the films, and you'll be ok. Most of them are boring, but he makes them interesting by explaining them. There are weekly quizzes with the chance of extra credit. They are really easy if you show up to class. He gives great study guides for tests and none of them are cumulative.

Take good notes the quizzes will not be over the move as much as who directed it and who the made the movie.

Dr. Quist is a hilarious man who will make a class that would otherwise be difficult enjoyable. He likes to make you laugh and basically gives you all the answers to the online quizzes as long as you attend his class, same with his exams.

Dr. Quist is passionate about movies. If you are also passionate about them, you'll love the class. There was a quiz each class about the movie we watched the previous week. They're really easy and there's usually extra credit available on them. Also don't buy the books! He gives notes on the movies in class and both books are in FLITE anyways.

Quist tells you the answer to all of the multiple choice on both quizzes and test. You still need to show up to every lecture because that will give you the answers you need for the short answers. He will give you the topic for the SA, but does not spell it out for you. Don't waste your money on the book.

Great Class and Professor. Required text is easy to read and understand. Class format is perfect for online learning. Good discussion participation, quiz and test structure. I loved this class. It was a short summer class and definitely do-able. I learned a lot.

Class met once a week and there are six things that go into the grade book. Grading is hard but he is a great professor. He made sure that I had everything I needed and that I was doing well.

Literally my favorite professor at Ferris State. Professor Quist is seriously hilarious. He gets so into the lectures and is really passionate about what he teaches. If you need help, don't worry he wont let you fail! He'll do anything he can to help you if you go to his office hours! He knows most students by name and he cares about our success.

This class deals with plays and sculptures. The plays are very hard to understand on your own, so you must go to class. He does an amazing job explaining the topics and as long as you take notes you will pass with no problem. He is very passionate about the topics. 1 online quiz each week and 3 tests.

this course is not a hard course it is just a lot of information to take in in a short amount of time. If you attend lectures and write notes you will pass with an A. Be sure to study! He does tell you what will be expected to know for the tests.

Best professor I've ever had. The nicest, best, funniest professor you'll ever have. He is actually passionate about teaching and makes it easy for us students.

A great professor that cares for his students and really wants them to pass. There is a lot of reading, but you can honestly get through it by skimming. He's very entertaining and really enjoys teaching. You are only graded by 3 tests and weekly quizzes, but they are all very easy, and I am normally a bad test taker.

He normally lectures you before you watch any film. Its a long class with a lot of movies. Test 1 is 25%, Test 2 is 25%, the Final Test is 25% and Weekly Quizzes are also 25%. In the syllabus it says "The student will have three unexcused absences. Each subsequent absence will result in a half-letter grade drop from your final grade."

Loved this class. Took it fully online and I highly recommend it. We had a discussion post and a quiz once a week and I could usually get the entire week's worth of hw done in about 30 mins. Every now and then we had a test. Test and quizzes are extremely easy because all the answers are in his notes. Don't bother buying the book! Great class!

You just watch movies in this class. Every week there is a quiz that gets put up around thursday thats due sunday.

Best class I have ever taken. You watch 2 movies every class and then later in the week take a test on it. Professor is also very passionate about the subject. Only bad thing I have to say is that sometimes the questions on the quizzes weren't discussed, but besides that it was so fun. If you want an easy A take this class!
