He was an awesome teacher who is always willing to help you. So take advantage of his office hours. He is easy as long as you keep up with your assignments. At times he can be unorganized but it is okay. There are two test and one big paper it is easy as long as you keep up on your deadlines.

Dr. Randall IS AWESOME! He is ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP you! Yes, he gave an online midterm, but we had two midterms and a final that were all in the classroom. The only reason that he gave us the last midterm online was so he would have more time to review us for the final! Thank you Dr. Randall!

Dr. Randall is COOL?? One of best professors ever. Lectures super interesting, he invites class discussion, and he makes everyone feel welcome to discuss things in class. He answers all questions and never makes anyone feel dumb. Research paper hard, but he is willing to give you soooo much help. You should take advantage of his office hours.

Dr. Randall does not teach Psych 23. Whoever says they took Psych 23 with him should not be listened to because they don’t even know in what classes they have been enrolled. Anyone who does not think Dr. Randall is helpful has not been to his office hours. Dr. Randall is so patient, he will go over things with you until you understand it. Rock on!

Prof Randall is a great teacher! He would reach out to students who need helps. I am an ESL student but he helped me with my paper. If you pay attention in his class, you should get an A. He is a STRAIGHTFORWARD and very CLEAR. He gives extra credit, online quizzes, review, etc. A very nice happy guy, friendly, and understanding. A++

Very nice and extremely helpful I didn't need this class but I would recommend it to other psych majors he gives loads of extra credit and sometimes extends deadlines to accommodate his students. There is one 7-8 page research paper that is a lil difficult but if u attended his office hours you will have no problem with it take him

He definitely sets the bar higher than most professors, however, he is happy to help a lot. I wrote my first APA-style research paper in his class and at first was lost. Continued from last: Dr. Randall did change due dates, but always to help us out he gave us more time so we would do well. He even let us resubmit some assignments we had scored very low on. Additionally, all info for class was presented on Canvas. He did everything to help us learn about college and research and to help us to learn on our own.

The purpose of College 1 is to prepare us for college, Dr. Randall certainly did this. We learned about research, memory, metacognition, intelligence, etc. At the library orientation, the librarian said we were more knowledgeable about research than any other College 1 section hed seen. This was no accident, this was due to Dr. Randalls teaching.

Dr. Randall did a good job teaching College1. From talking to students in other sections, there are still things that need to be worked out as College 1 is new. If anything was wrong, a lot of material to cover. We had 2 books to read and write chapter summaries on - this was a lot of work. However, it benefited us and Dr. Randall did a good job.

Dr. Randall is a very lovely and inspiring professor. always tries his best to cover all the materials in class and teach us everything that he knows will be helpful for the students. And very passionate about teaching and helping his students.

Excellent prof! The course itself is Difficult. So blame the students for bad performance NOT Him. In his hands, He explains everything in details and provides you tons of resources so you can refer to . He basically spoon feeds you the steps to various hypothesis testing which was the most difficult material that stats "18"covered. Recommended!

Psych 5 isn't easy but Randall is SO HELPFUL. The honors part of this class isn't hard, u just need 10 references on the paper & to submit it to WPA. You'll be in a group conducting research, so it is essential to pair up with dependable ppl. There are online quizzes (3-4 attempts) and chapter summaries. Utilize ur group members and study together.

The most respectful and awesome professor I've had. Sometimes he goes fast but if you have any questions be sure to ask him! He will clarify everything. Like many, I found Dr. Randall to be delightful. Because he cares so much that students learn, he puts so much time into his classes. His lectures are sooo informative and he has a ton of this knowledge in his head. Rarely uses PowerPoint and never uses notes, all this information just flows out of him expert in statistics and research design.

Such a delight! EC is a life saver!! He wants everyone to do well so ask him questions after class or go to office hours if you need any help or want to talk about classic rock bands (you'll see). You absolutely have to keep up with quizzes &HW, don't do them the night before. You can, but you will probably hate yourself (about 40 pages combined).

Dr. Randall did the same for his College 1 Honors class. Every student had his/her study (conducted in groups) accepted for presentation at Western Psychological Association Conference. College 1 is designed to prepare students for college. He not only helped prepare us for college, he gave us the opportunity to do research like a graduate student.

He gives students the opportunity to retake exams if they do poorly and he goes over exams, shows you the correct answers and explains the rationale for everything. he is a wonderful professor and I recommend him to any one that is struggling with math he will help you step by step until you get it and is patient. Randall teaches in a way one who is not good with can understand and uses hilarious examples of old singers but, very passed paced and gives a lot of homework but this is to ensure that you get it

Dr Randall was such a great teacher. I was really nervous to take this class because i had heard it was hard. He was awesome, if you didn't pass the exam the first time he would give you a second opportunity! Seriously, you have to put in work but the pay off is so worth it! Do the extra credit it is worth 1/2 a grade! Go to his office hours, too!!

This is COLLEGE and this was an HONORS course. A lot of work, sure, but Dr. Randall was a huge help; gave great feedback on rough drafts, analyzed / explained the data for us, and even offered opportunity to submit research to a professional conference. Not many professors put this much work into their classes. Great preparation for transferring.

He spends half of each class thoroughly covering each topic and the other half having the class work problems which he then goes over on the board, explaining everything in great detail. He provides online quizzes for which you have 3 attempts to get correct answers and you can retake each midterm if you want a higher grade.

Randall is an extremely great professor with good taste in music. That being said, he's not all that organized. But, what he lacks in organization, he makes up for in extra credit opportunities and lenient on turn in dates. He makes sure you understand the lecture before moving on and allows midterm retakes. 2 midterms and a final. TONS of homework

He is actually a great professor. It is just that he knows the stuff so well that he goes through it pretty fast, but honestly if you don't understand something then you should asking him right away. I took his class to get my GE requirement out of the way but by the end I really enjoyed this class! The class gets tough at times but Dr. Randall is very passionate about statistics and will help you understand the material if you let him know. Professor Randall is extremely passionate about psychology and statistics. He's a great professor, but it is very difficult to do well in his class without going to office hours. His course is very heavy on assignments, and there is a 450 pt. research paper. Definitely a tough class but worth it in the end because you learn a lot from him.

Yes, must take notes and attend class; hes so knowledgeable every class packed with much info. He even allows you to retake each midterm to increase your score and show you learned the material. His tests are VERY similar to the practice exams posted on Canvas. The quizzes, however, can be quite tricky; and some may contain errors, which he will fix and give credit. Hes truly a spunky, humorous person due to his discussions about rock music. My only issue was how Dr. Randall can be disorganized. An assistant would be highly beneficial.

Key to last stats review I didnt even pass. Dr. Randall teaches very difficult material and does everything to enable you to pass. He allows retakes of each Midterm to increase your score, he goes over and over the material in class and has everyone working problems, he is very patient during office hours. Psych 5 with Dr. Randall was a great class. He gives students the opportunity to submit their research to a professional conference; a lot of us are really excited to have our research accepted for presentation at the conference. Its great that he makes this opportunity available to his students. You will get out of the class what you put into it.

Dr. Randalls wonderful, he works harder than any professor Ive had; does everything to ensure students do well. Syllabus clearly states all due dates. What he does is leave quizzes open longer than stated in syllabus to give students extra time to complete them, however, he clearly states in class when they will close. If U want to learn Take Him

This is college. If you want an easy A and are not willing to work hard and learn, you do not belong in college. Dr. Randall works extremely hard and wants his students to learn. He does a lot to enable you to learn and do well in his class if you are only willing to work. If you want to learn, take Dr. Randall; if you do not want to learn do not.

Dr. Randall is smart, successful and overall a kind person. He is a difficult professor though. His lectures are dry, hes repetitive and the course load is huge. Be prepared to do lots of group work, write a really long paper, do maaany quizzes and difficult exams. He gives tons of extra credit and exam redos. Go to his office hours!! Good luck

My favorite teacher at PCC. Definitely not an easy class, must pay attention and attended every class meeting because the textbook is not useful. Online quizzes from canvas. Two tests and one midterm.

Dr. Randall is extremely intelligent and works hard. If you understand the material and possibly read the material in the textbook ahead of time like you are supposed to, you will see that he follows the book very closely and he presents the material in a very clear way. If you do not understand the material, it may seem unorganized and confusing.

He went over and over material in class, he gave lots of example problems in class for us to work and then he went over the problems on the board, he had practice exams online that were almost exactly like the actual exams and he went over them in class. He let students retake exams to improve grade. He did everything to help us. U must put in work

He's a very nice and approachable person and quite funny. He does not give a lot of homework for a math class, though he does have practice problems. If you are good at Stats his class is fine, he gives you an equation sheet for tests. If you are inexperienced in math or Stats he goes REALLY fast, so know your limits with this one. Overall good.

i transferred from pcc last spring and i took dr. randall, it was tough material but i thought he explained it v well now that im at a 4yr taking psych stats and this professor makes no sense at all. Dr. Randall simplified it.

I took Professor Randall's stats 18 class my first semester at PCC and I loved his class so much. I as a person suck at math but he simplified it so well that I was able to succeed in his class. Make sure you attend class and take notes! I ended up with an A+ in his class. I would recommend taking his class.

Dr. Randall is very chill. He's definitely got a great sense of style and humor. He may seem a bit repetitive on the first day of Psy5 but there's actually a good reason for it. He's helpful and really cares about his students understanding the subject. He is flexible with the work but don't underestimate the amount of time you should put into it.

This professor is great, He makes a difficult subject seem so easy. If you go to class and listen he will teach you everything you need to know to pass the class with a great understanding. The online quizzes really help because you can retake them four times to make sure you correct your mistakes this actually helped me learn a lot.

He is the best psych professor I've ever met at PCC! His lecture includes everything you need for the exam and paper thoroughly, and there is no way not to get a good grade if you pay attention and understand the basics. So nice and reasonable in grading! Give DECENT feedback for papers, definitely prepare you to be a great writer! Take him!

Dr. Randall goes out of his way to help students and is very encouraging; he clearly cares about student learning. Goes over and over material, lets you earn back points on each midterm, and this semester, due to campus shutdown, gave students highest grade of either the Midterms or Final. Also encourages students to present research at conference.

A lot to good research: 1st, issues related to conducting research; 2nd, issues related to writing good research paper. Dr. Randall cannot cover everything, so he concentrates on issues related to conducting research. He also covers writing a research paper, but expects students to be capable of reading APA manual to supplement his info. Take Him.

Dr. Randall is incredibly knowledgeable and likable: knows everything about stats and wants students to learn and appreciate stats also. Incredible job transitioning to online in midst of COVID19 pandemic even though never taught online before. Went out of way to be helpful with many Zoom lecture times and office hours. Very, very caring professor.

Dr. Randall is very caring; really goes out of way to help everyone succeed. Material can be hard; but explains very well; he is very patient and passionate about material. He did a great job holding many Zoom sessions and keeping us informed after Campus shutdown. He also extended deadlines and was very flexible. More helpful than my other profs.

I had Dr. Randall for Stats18 and Psych5. He is not hard; material complicated, but he gives you all the info needed to succeed in both classes. When I transferred and took stats and research, I found I already knew everything from Dr. Randall. He is better than my University profs. If you want to really learn and be prepared to transfer, take him.

Additionally, Dr. Randall gives you so many chances to succeed. In both Stats and Psych 5, he allows you to earn back points on Midterms, he gives you multiple attempts for online quizzes, and he is very helpful in office hours. I found he made it impossible to NOT succeed. None of my University profs give as many chances to succeed as Dr. Randall.

Professor Randall is amazing. I was so nervous going into his Stats class, but he clearly explains everything. His lectures are comprehensive and all the exam questions come from the homework. If you go to class and do the homework you will do well in this class. He also makes himself available outside of class for any questions you have.

He has so many classes he teaches, but he always goes over the material until it is crystal clear. He is a very understanding professor. Just make sure to rewatch the lectures if you missed them. Similar questions are on the quizzes and tests.

Randall is my favorite professor at PCC of all time. He's so passionate and caring. His lectures are long but interesting. Tests are very detailed but there's lots of extra credit. You can retake exams to get a better grade. I left the class with a greater appreciation for research methods.

Attending the zoom lectures is VERY helpful bc its your opportunity to ask any questions you'll have about the material but if you are unavailable to attend he does upload the recordings onto canvas at the end of the week to review. He also has powerpoint slides loaded onto canvas that are super helpful as well to review for quizzes and exams.

Dr. Randall is an incredible teacher, a stellar human being. I lacked the basic math skills necessary to succeed in this class, and Dr. Randall was able to teach them within 3 weeks. He explains concepts clearly, patiently, & holds frequent office hours for individual instruction. His care and enthusiasm were paramount to my success in this class.

Dr. Randall suffered personal tragedy just before semester when his mother passed away. He was open with us about the pain he was experiencing and still managed to do a wonderful job teaching. Dr. Randall is great; took him when we first went online during pandemic. Told us he never used Zoom nor taught online before. Yet, transition was good. Wish could have stayed in person, but still good online. Very caring and goes out of way to help you do good. Lectures are interesting (even fun) and he has us work lots of examples during class.

I got confused and had to review everything in order to teach myself but he always has office hours and gives 2-3 chances on the midterm & final. Best not to fall behind, reviews a ton

Its my second class and I can already tell hes passionate about teaching. Not all teachers I've had at PCC were passionate. To some it is just a paycheck. But you can tell Prof Randall wants you to learn, wants you to succeed and he cares. There are some gem teachers at PCC and he is one of them.

I wish my other teachers taught like this. He goes over many examples and goes nice and slow to make sure everyone understands. He doesn't rush through class, talks TO/WITH the students instead of AT the students, explains things in a dumbed down way (perfect for me). You can tell he's not teaching just as a side hustle, he's passionate about it.

I think this is the best Professor I've had so far. He explains things thoroughly and step by step, gives lectures slowly and will go back if something isn't understood. He goes over lesson and then goes over many examples to make sure everything was 100% clear.

Professor Randall was extremely understanding, accessible, and very lenient, he allows unlimited attempts for quizzes. Quizzes are approx. once a week but easy because everything is left clear in class. Three exams throughout semester but gives practice tests and retakes.

Dr. Randall loves what he does and that definitely translates to when he teaches. If you take good notes and show up to class on time, you're good to go. Visit office hours and ask questions in class if something isn't clear. It's very important to turn in your quizzes on time and you have the ability to retake them until you get 100%. Great class!

Professor Randall makes this course extremely manageable. With unlimited quiz retakes, a second exam attempt, and helpful office hours, I was able to really master the material. The lectures are clear, and using Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook helped me prepare effectively.

Attendance is a part of your grade. Attend his office hours! Rent a calculator from the PCC library. Don't use your phone calculator, it's too confusing/small. He'll post Zoom recordings of classes he's taught previously with the same material in class. He's a bit older, so he does get tired mid-day & may forget things but just remind him. Nice guy

Quizzes and midterms were exactly as he taught them and retakes + extra credit were available. Material was easily accessible and office hours were flexible. I wanted to take Dr. Randall class for the longest time and I'm finally happy I did! Stats is not easy but if you put time and commitment it is possible! Favorite professor! Lots of work, but all quizzes and tests online. For a course with SO much information to learn, he organizes it well. Lots of work, but lots of support. Great teacher but this course is centered around a 20 page research paper. This is all Psych 005 classes. This class in general is a lot of work. But if you have to take a Psych 005 class, Dr. Randall the BEST professor you could have for it.

I had no stats or much math knowledge before taking this class but Dr. Randall thoroughly explained each topic and gave us plenty of examples for us to practice with. If you keep up with the lectures, actively participate, and ask questions this class will be easy. He gives plenty of EC opportunities, a retake on exams and unlimited quiz attempts.

Dr. Randall cares a lot about his students, his teaching style was easy to follow. Math isn't my strongest subject but he made Statistics so easy! Even though there are 2-3 quizzes each week, each have unlimited attempts and are great for study practice. Midterms and final are a lot of points, but as long as you put in the effort you'll be fine.

Dr. Randall is highly qualified to teach STAT18 and cares about his students. Lots of students complained in group chat, but I found the class to be easy and I'm not great with math. I chose to take ONLY this class during the semester so I could ensure an A. Do all the work, take thorough notes, go to his office hours, and do all the extra credit.

This was a somewhat time intensive class. The whole semester revolves around publishing a research study paper. It is a group research paper- so choose your group wisely! Go to office hours and work off of his files for the paper.

If you are reading this, please do in-person instead of online. It would make it so much easier to understand the concepts and be ahead. Dr. Randall is an amazing teacher whos passionate about STATS and his students. OFFERS A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT so use that advantage. my biggest regret is taking his class online because i struggle a lot.

Stats(math) isnt my strongest subject at all. He cares about the students. Gives Extra Credit and goes to his office hours as well. There is retakes for quizess (unlimited) and midterm/finals retake as well.

Math became a very weak subject of mine, especially after COVID. His way of teaching is really good and helped me get back on track. Unlimited attempt on quizzes, extra credit, and good resources to help you learn without stress. Subjects can still be challenging so it's best to take notes during the sessions and really pay attention!

Be ready to not miss any classes! If you're taking his EARLY BIRD classes, be sure you are ON TIME! PARTICIPATION MATTERS! If you miss one class, you miss a whole load of information and might get dropped. Otherwise, Professor really do CARES. Lots of quizzes and tests but he do CURVE final grade. A very awesome and respected Professor!

Professor Randall is amazing but trust me do not miss any classes because you will fall behind, he gives a lot of extra credit opportunity and i mean A LOT as well as unlimited tries on the quizzes and retakes on the midterm and final as well. he does get a little confusing as the topics start to get harder but its not that bad.

So much extra credit, exams are the same as the practice exam. I ended up with 120% of the grade because there is so much extra credit.

Super caring and will pause what he's doing to make sure the class is understanding the material! He gives us multiple chances on the quizzes and tests. I never really liked math or was good at it, but he made it almost enjoyable.Great guy he's into a bunch of bands and finds ways to include his favorite bands in the lectures lol.
