I had him 23 years ago and he is the reason I majored in math. He made it so easy, but in a way that you really learned the material. If you go to class, do all the homework and see him for anything you don't understand, you will get good grades.

Great teacher! If you're not good at math and you want an instructor who will take the time to explain things, this is your guy. Generous grading policy as well.

EXCELLENT teacher, writes his own book (much better book), isn't intimadating to ask for help, explains well. I had to drop the class, because I took the fast summer term and couldn't keep up, but I sincerely hope to take his class again!

He is a very good teacher. He explains everything to the point that he can't explain it anymore. He wrote his own book so every answer is in there to every problem. He also has examples to go along with the problems. He is really, really good!

I hate math with a passion, and Dr.Rapalje has made good grades and understanding math possible. He publishes his own book and it is ASWESOME! You can almost teach yourself the math, even college algebra because the book is understandable w/examples.

I sooo hate math. But with Dr Rapalje, I could actually understand it. He didnt make me feel stupid when I asked a question. You betcha I am going to take him for any math class that I need to take that he teaches!

I never have seen any teacher in my life with his enthusiasm. He makes math fun to learn even if math is something you find dreadful. He is always willing to help and explains things more than once if need be. He is the BEST!!

Great person and willing to help out with the understanding of the content. He definitely knows his subject but assigns too MUCH homework!!!! Tests are a little complicated... You actually got to study so HEADS UP!

Best teacher ever!!! I took his class for Intermediate Algebra after two withdrawls from other instructors...got a B!!! Took College Algebra in his class one year later...got a B!!! Believe me I couldn't have done it without him. If you are afraid of Algebra take his class, you won't be sorry!!

This guy is something serious! He is a great teacher. He will help you out with any problem you have and will put in time with you. He teaches at a level that I would not understand how anyone could ever say anything negative. He has the greatest corny type of jokes and makes math easier. 2 thumbs!!

It is a very easy class if you have any algebra experience at all. His jokes are really gay, but hes a good guy. A bit obsessed with math. I dont know how he can expect people to do 2 hours of math hw a day when I have 3 other classes to do work for.

I was willing to drive all the way from Gainesville twice a week just so I could have him for a math teacher! He is THAT good! Thanks to him,I finally graduated with a BSN from UF! I could not have done it without Dr Rapalje pointing me in the right direction when it comes to math (My most hated subject)!

He is a great teacher. The only take back from his style is his formatting of work. The homework doesn't match the test. He gives out study guides, but unless you look at those thoroughly you will not have a strong grade on the test. He is truly a wonderful person, people that pass with C's dont complain, and that's his average for his class.

If you just wanna pass and not really understand the meterial when you leave. This may be the class for you. I had a wounderful teacher and a decent understanding for mat0012 untill I took this class. I passed proberbly with a (B) and I am more confused then I started. Intermediate and College Algebra - Very good instructor. As long as you listen in class and DO ALL YOUR HOMEWORK AND PRACTICE EXAMS YOU WILL DO WELL ON THE EXAMS. There are 5 exams and 4 units of work. There are at least 3 practice exams available for each unit. DO THEM AND YOU CAN DO WELL ON THE ACTUAL EXAM. DO YOUR WORK AND A "B" IS No Probl

He is a really great teacher, there is a lot of homework and a lot of extra credit. You will pass it easy as long as you do the work. He is really fun and the best Math teacher I ever had.

Hes is a very good teacher and likes to help with your work. Hes lets you gain extra points on you test and makes sure you understand the work.

Dr. Rapalj is an excellent teacher. HE teaches math in color (yes in color) which allows us challenge folks to learn numbers a different way! He is very eager to help you, and willing to help you earn extra points if you do your homework. Everyone that has not taken math with him, uses my text books (which he wrote) to help them with their work.

The way Dr. Rapalje teaches, he breaks it down into small steps so you can follow and understand the reasoning behind each type of problem. He is a very nice and caring professor. I would take more classes that he teaches. Francine

He is very funny and cool, and I know he is reading this =) but I must say that it is not as easy of a class if you are "math challenged" like me. I specifically signed up to get him but so far I'm not doing as well as I'd hoped. Sometimes the tests aren't the same as the homework (I know he hates that but sometimes it's true!) Hope I pass =(

Had this teacher for Int Algebra and was fortunate enough to have him for College Algebra. Thorough, easy to understand and sincere. Teaches TO the class not AT the class. If possible I will take courses with him again. Maybe the best instructor I have had in 3 years.

I recommend him to anyone for any level of math. If you come to class and do your homework you will pass the class no problem.

He was the best teachure I have ever had. I failed this class with a B. Bailey, and took it again with Rob, and got an A. As long as you do your homework (a lot) you will be ok. His door was always open to anything I did not understand. He teaches in color. I understood with him as my teachur.

He is a teacher you will NEVER forget. Visual people will love him. If you do not like to do homework or have no time for it. YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT. He teaches for the love of math, and it shows. He has a website, open door policy, will visit study groups, email accessable. If you fail his class it is really due to failure to use all the resources

I have never gotten an A in math, let alone in algebra, until I took his class. He explains everything in color. It is very easy to understand. He answers any questions you have. The homework is extra credit ,but it will help you TREMENDOUSLY if you do your work. He is very fair and helps in anyway possible. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

I have never received anything higher then a C in math since 6th grade. I received an A in both of his classes! He is an amazing teacher. I highly recommend him. He is not only VERY Helpful, but easy to understand and explains everything piece by piece. He is awesome! I would take him again if i could!!!

Dr. Rapalje loves his job and loves helping students. Half of the class is devoted to answering questions on teh homework and half is spent reviewing new material. He is a wonderful teacher and I enjoy his class very much. He wrote his own textbooks and they say everything that he does. I love Dr. Rapalje's class.

Great teacher, a little too easy I think. His math books are simpler than typical math textbooks, so if you take another math teacher it seems alot harder. Do homework, keep up, go to class. EC for study groups or tutoring. Helpful; funny; Christian. Gotta love him!!

Dr. R is an incredible man and teacher. I had him for three semesters, basic, intermediate and college algebra. I actually loved going to his algebra classes. He gives unit tests with an accumulative final as well as a grade on homework. Lots of homework is required. He gives extra credit, too. Accomodating and supportive, Dr. R gets an A++++.

Dr R is very experienced, organized and competent. He wrote and uses a very user friendly book. Too bad he retired. If he returns even part-time be sure to take his course. Just do the homework and he will guide you to pass the course. Do all the homework and you should get an "A".

Dr. Rapalje is a great teacher. I really did not apperciate him fully until half way through the summer semester he retired and the teacher who replaced him was as clear as mud. I really missed him. He gives you so many ways to learn, I wish more teachers cared as much as he does about how students learn.

He is one of those teachers that really makes an impact on the way you see your career. He is cheesy and kind of corny but funny and entertaining. He makes sure you understand and repeats as many times as necessary or offers the help after class. So dissapointed he retired but hope he comes back.

This teacher really knows how to make understanding Algebra EASY. Just do the homework and the tests are easy. If you don't do the work you will not learn this though.

I took Dr. Rapalje for College Alegebra, Calc 3, and Diff Equ. many years ago. He is the best teacher I ever had in college. I was an insecure student with a lot going against me, and his encouragement made me stay and work at it until it clicked. He changed my life. I eventually got my Engineering degree at UCF because he gave me confidence.

There is no way to give the amount of credit he deserves. He loves his students, loves knowlege, and loves bringing out the scholar in everyone fortunate enough to be in his presence.

He taught me more about Algebra in one class then I learned in all the other classes combined.
