Nice guy, has a great way of explaining things. Opens up the class with current events, very fun. Got me interested in the class.

This professor is so great, he is interesting and easy as long as you do the work he made the class really fun I would definetly take another class with him :)
This professor made sociology so interesting! I actually switched to a sociology major after this class! He was also super helpful and brought a lot of current events into his lessons, which made it a lot of fun.
This professor is great when it comes to explaining the lessons in class. I hardly had to study for tests after listening in class....He does excess work that I dont think is necessary such as the current events journals. Every one should just have to do their own article...But overall good professor.
He is all right.
he is probably the best professor ive ever had at nassau...he explains everything very well when teaching..if u can take good notes i dont really think u even need the textbook unless u miss class...hes great with answering questions n over all a wonderfulllll professor
EXCELLENT TEACHER,above average teaching skills. I would recomend Mr. Sardiello for any student enrolling in Intro to Sociology.
I didn't even know what sociology was before i took this class but it was fun and interesting and we had alot of class discussions that you could get into easily. LOVED THIS GUY!! and he says "mmmmm-kay" not to be funny, totally natural.. ha!
He is a great professor. He explains everything very well, you don't even need to get the text book, if you take notes during class. I thought the current even journals were pretty interesting, because it related the things we had been learning in class, to things that are going on in the world today. Over all he was a great professor.
Very knowledgeable about sociology. He expresses it in a very simple way for you to understand. He would combine sociology with reality.
He is so smart!
Great teacher. Presented the material in a clear manor. Tests were straight forward and you could really do well if you took good notes and studied them. Would definately recomend.
Great teacher! cool guy explains things well, would definetly take him again. The only thing i didnt like were the journals but otherwise A+
very nice guy, always to the point, test a lil hard, you have to study all the notes to past the test, and the current event journals were a pain in the neck!
An excellent teacher - very enthusiastic, clear and willing to explain if you need. I would absolutely take another class with him. This is a TEACHER. He actually wants the class to get it.
good guy. interesting most of the time. no homework, but had a journal (that i didn't keep up on; n got a bad grade on) during whole class course. got a bad grade on it. either listen in class or read the book and you get good grades. don't need the book if u are guna listen
Not a bad professor. Take good notes and study them, that's about it. only real assignment is the journal. which is a little annoying but you should definitely do it. all you need is a brief summary of the current event and throw in a bunch of vocab and you're good to go. overall good class, good teacher.
He is passionate, upbeat, clear and articulate. This professor makes learning enjoyable. Tests are long, make sure to study, read the text, and take good notes. He is also gorgeous. Prof. Sardiello is good-hearted and you can tell he loves what he does, I wish he taught more classes.
His lectures are very clear, all you have to do is to take good note and you wont even need to spend money on the book. Tests cover only information given in class. I got an A and didn't even had the book! His Current Events Project is a real pain in an *ss though. Definitely recommend! You wont be disappointed. He's an easy-breezy one.
One of the best at NCC.He cares about what he's teaching, and makes it easy to take good notes.Book use is slim to none,he could never be mistaken for the guy that sets you up to fail with stupidly worded questions. He's crystal clear and he wants you to do well.Engaging, enthusiastic, fun, class is a pleasure. Wish every prof at NCC was like him.
Very clear and articulate. The best Prof. I've been thought by at NCC thus far. The class material is balanced and the usage in the journals helps understand Sociology consequently, I find that I'm using soc to explain myself. AMAZING
I had Professor Sardiello over the summer in a four hour class on Saturday mornings. He was able to keep my interest the whole time.. He does say "mmm-kay" alot lol, you'll notice. He's very clear with the material and funny. The class is never boring. As long as you take good notes and study them, you will ace the tests. DO THE JOURNAL!
THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!! At the end of the semester you will leave knowing what is SOCIOLOGY and all it's TERMINOLOGIES !!!!!!!!!
Really good professor! I wish my class was not so boring though! (Its the students that are dull, not him) He's really funny, and teaches the material in his own way, that is actually understandable. Awesome class.
Pro. Sardello seems to be very pationate about his subject. He actually teaches. Tests are a little bit much though 85 questions for an hour is too much. His current events project is tedious also. But all and in decent professor very helpful when you ask him.
Extremely clear. You can tell he loves what he teaches. No Homework besides journals.
great professor! loves what he does and is a great sociologist. had a breezy semester thanks to how clear he makes the material. interesting class, def recommend this professor
Love him to pieces !!!!
Professor Sardiello was great! He made sense out of a subject that I previously had no understanding of. Tests were extremely fair and the class was simply an enjoyable experience.
Totally recommend Prof. Sardiello!!! He loves his Sociology and is passionate in his teachings. Class discussions were great..makes you not want to miss a word! Grading was fair. 3 Tests, approxiamte 22 page journal and a presentation for a summer class may be a lot, but it was worth it!
If the classroom was a stage, you would want this professor to be the actor. I was not interested in the subject prior, but he really makes it a lot of fun. He's very clear, so take good notes and study and you will do well. His current events journals require a lot of written papers, so you will want to keep on top of them. Highly Recommended!
I love him
GREAT PROFESSOR! he makes you understand sociology! he explains to you the material very well. if you're not a texbook person, you dont need to bring it, just take notes, because he covers everything that will be on the test. his test are long but semi hard semi easy, if you study you will be fine.
He's very funny, and helps the class understand the material he teaches.
Good teacher. Makes the material interesting, you can tell he's really enjoys teaching. Class is really easy if you just follow along with his lectures and take good notes before the test. He gives a 20 page journal due at the end of the semester. DONT WAIT TILL THE END TO START its a DRAG. Other then that great teacher!
tests are way too long, other than that hes a good teacher
He is a really great teacher and helps to understand sociology. Take notes and ask questions bc he will help to some extent. Also has a 20-25 page journal due at end of semester, do them as you go.. don't wait until the last week, you will regret it.
Very good teacher, helps students understand and appreciate sociology. One of the best teachers in ncc
Professor Sardiello is the best Teacher around. I strongly think he should be promoted to a higher class job instead of working at a community college. He is a smart , remarkable, hardworking family man who cares alot about what he does. He is the most down to earth teacher and he is simply fabulous I LOVE YOU PROFESSOR SARDIELLO!!!
He is a great professor. He makes sociology interesting, you have to journal entries throughout the semester but just make sure you keep up with with them and you'll do fine, and make sure you take good notes and read the textbook for your tests (highly recommended). Thanks for a great semester Professor Sardiello!! :) I learned ALOT
the professor is cool take good notes and read you text book along with each topic. he will explain whatever you do not understsand and very important stay on top of te current event report.....
He a good teacher. But had a ridiculous amount of papers due for a stupid journal . You ask for extra credit and he doesn't give it. Says that he adds extra credit on test ( I guess) dies really make clear what he was looking for in journals until the semester is over and journals have been graded.
he is a really good teacher, I just didn't like the journals that we had to write
Professor Sardiello is very passionate about Sociology therefore making this course interesting and giving us a better understanding of Sociology. We all had a very good semester of Sociology and the professor was well appreciated.
he is a great professor, the thing i like about him is his patience. if you pay attention in his class there is no way you will fail
Great professor. If you attend class and listen you will have no issue passing. Nice guy too. Journals arekind of annoying but you get thehang of tthem half way through. Overall I would recommend this class espexially with this professor
Professor Sardiello is very passionate about Sociology, which makes the class great. His lessons were interesting. He applied the Sociological terms and theories we learned to real-life situations through current events reports and class discussions, so we could see how Sociology effects us each and every day.I would recommend taking his class.
Worse Professor he is so strict and does not stop talking at all. He is way to much with this course and doesnt know how to talk normal to students. I never got a C in a class until i took his class.
He is very passionate about Sociology and makes the class very entertaining. He's very funny & puts on a show for you as he teaches; there was never a dull moment. The journals are tedious so do them as you go along. Tests are very long. Pay attention and you'll do well. I took this class in City Tech and failed but with him I got an A.
great professor who is obviously passionate about sociology and teaching. just try to keep up with the journal entries as they come or you'll have a lot to write at the end. they aren't too bad though- 2pg's doubled spaced for each one, and make sure you add sociology terms and such into them!
Prof. Sardiello is the best Sociology prof. at NCC. He made the class very interesting. Do the current affairs project and journals as soon as he assigns them or you will be overwhelmed trying to complete them at the end of the semester. Take good notes, ready your text book, study & you will pass.
Professor Sardiello is very passionate about sociology. His lectures are easy to follow and really make sociology interesting easy to understand. Taking notes is very important! The majority of his exams come straight from his lectures. Make sure you do your current events reports weekly because they could pile up at the end of the semester!
Hes ok, His journal were problem even tho i did them all. Test are not bad. He makes class enjoyable. Do the journals on time.
I learned so much when I took this class! Prof. Sardiello actually loves sociology and what he teaches, which makes you love it too! He relates things to everyday life which makes it easy to understand and remember. And man is he hilarious, lectures are great. When class ended it felt so short and I wish we had more time! Best prof at NCC!
An Incredible Professor. He really loves Sociology and teaching. He passes that love for Sociology to his students. He not only teaches you Sociology but he teaches you to talk the talk. Best Professor I ever had at NCC. Do the journal entries quickly, he is so funny, you will love his class.
Professor Sardiello is a really nice and funny guy ! He is a teacher so of course he lectures . I had him for a summer course and he lectured the whole class because we didn't have too much time in between our tests . We had 4 tests which is once a week , 2 current event reports which only had to be 2 pgs and a journal entry on 10 topics 2pgs each.
I really enjoyed his style in front of the class. He has a very positive demeanor and is approachable, knowledgeable and brings up important topics to discuss in depth that will make you look at certain things in your life a little differently.
The best professor I've had by far in any college!! He's inspirational, helpful, kind & WANTS YOU TO DO WELL -and There IS extra credit. Whoever complained about his workload being hard either barely tried or wanted an A without doing anything at all. Especially if I can do 8 journals (easy), 1 paper, & 4 exams all in just a 2-week summer class..
He's an amazing professor. Funny and his lectures are so interesting that u wouldn't know how time flew by. Just study his noted and you will easily get an A. I would definitely take him again.
Professor Sardiello is an awesome instructor. He says he sees sociology everywhere and I shrugged. After the semester, you really start to open your eyes to the sociology that surrounds you. There is no such thing as an ascribed halo student in his classroom, you've go to achieve it! I would definitely take another course with him again.
He makes it SO easy to want to learn about sociology. He discusses a lot in class and some reading from the book, take good notes. He gives 3 or 4 tests and a journal that includes a 2 page summary of the topics we discuss in class. I def. recommend him if you need to take a class you don't think you'd like but you need. GREAT TEACHER!
RUN! WORST PROFESSOR IN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL. TESTS ARE TERRIBLY HARD, AND ARE VERY LONG. I studied for every test and still failed.
Professor Sardiello is hilarious, I'll give him that. He also always knows what he's talking about but he is HARD! Take TONS of notes and study. His tests are extremely long (final test had 80 questions) and difficult. If you like to work hard, he's the professor for you.
Awesome professor!
Had him for my summer class , really interesting lectures , be sure to take good notes , and study for a test! Extra credit is available on his tests. And you have to turn in Journal , which is a lot of work , but if you start to wright it early , you will not have any problems at the end!
He was hilarious and he clearly knows what he is talking about. But he was the hardest professor I've taken. He assigned a large number of journal entries which were a nightmare (I once stayed up till 2 in the morning writing one) and his tests were insanely long (80 questions on final!). Write down EVERYTHING he says. It WILL be on the next test!
Good professor. If you skip class, good luck he doesn't give slideshow notes he gives lectures so write everything down. To me, his tests are good as long as you study. However, he gives 75-80 questions. The only thing I hated about the class were the journals due at the end of the semester. They were pretty hard just don't wait too long todo them
Amazing professor who really knows what he's talking about. If you show up to class, participate in his assignments, and study for his tests, then this class is the easiest A. He is willing to help you, makes his tests based specifically on the notes, and make sure to write down everything he says, it will definitely help you out in the long run.
Good guy. Not a great professor. Puts nothing whatsoever on BB. He spends the whole class going off topic and trying to be funny. His dry humour is starting to get irritating. The few notes he does go over in class have nothing to do with the 80 question tests. Seriously have not gotten more then 5 lines worth of notes each day. U must selfteach
Took 5 classes my first semester at NCC and he was my favorite. He does joke a lot which is great. As far as work, he knows what he is doing. he is very passionate about sociology and explains everything thoroughly. MUST TAKE NOTES. every little thing he says in class will be on his tests. They are long but fairly easy. Would take him again!
He is super funny and cool, but a HARSH grader. He grades your intro to sociology assignments and tests as if you're a fourth year sociology major. Only grades are four 80 question exams and then around 8 essays. The essays are due all on one date so don't wait until the last minute to do them. I studied for HOURS and got D's on all the tests.
hes a good teacher jokes around alot, but his tests are a killer. miss 10 minutes of a lecture and your screwed
Had him for my first semester in college and he was def my favorite professor. He's so funny and i hate lectures but i never got bored when he lectured. No homework, one current event, 4 tests, no midterm, no final (just regular test). Easy A, just make sure you write down/ type most of the things he says bc it WILL be on the tests. TAKE HIM!!!!!!!
Beware !! his lectures are long and can get off topic. his dry humor becomes irritating after the first encounter of having him. he isn't very helpful as far as guidance or let alone helping a student understand the material your learning. there isn't much he grades either there's 1 current event report and 4 tests ( NO MIDTERM NO FINAL)
If youre not passionate about sociology and youre just taking it for the credit for your degree dont take his class. Find someone else youre better off with another professor. But also instead of working with you and helping you out He will just tell you to drop the course. Good job NCC for hiring this professional
Rob is a great guy with lots of enthusiasm about sociology. He tells alot of fun stories and is a great guy to talk with. However the lectures can be long and drawn out also don't leave his class early he gets pissed. He grades easy, likes to have a good time, tests are notes from class, lots of bonus points on tests. Overall I would take him.
This professor works with his students. Email him if you have class questions and he will respond timely. I have learned a lot from this class. One of my closest and professional professor. Keep up the great work.
I took sociology as a winter course and in three weeks, I learned so much. He constantly makes jokes and tries to incorporate current events into what is being covered in class. There are only four tests and one current event report so the grades really do count.
Great Professor ! Take Him you wont regret it
He is a friendly and kind professor. He will work out with you if you need it
Took his class over the winter. He is a great professor and wants you to do good
Sardiello is a really nice and super passionate about sociology. He gives one current event assignment and the rest of your grades are test grades. He also offers extra credit which is super helpful if you struggle with test taking. His lectures contain a lot of information but if you take notes and study you can be super successful in this course.
Professor Sardiello is a sweetheart! I took his course Introduction to Sociology - SOC 201 Remotely in Winter 2022. Keeps the material interesting. He has a great personality and genuinely cares about his students. He assigns a completely fair amount of work. Get ready for wholesome dad jokes. A great professor I wish I had him for a full semester!
if you understand sociology, you will do well.
He says things that might come off offensive to others and he laughs it off when it's really not funny. Also I would advice those to really study if taking him, he's not nice and will grade you however with no leniency.
Wasn't a very nice professor and didn't learn much. really don't recommend.
The worst professor not nice at all.
One of the better online courses I've taken for sure! The professor did a good job of making the class engaging with the current events project we had. Everything that is in the tests are in the slides from class. As long as you take decent notes, you shouldn't have much trouble. A good class if you want something engaging but also not too hard.
Truly outstanding every class. Will add to your maturity. Study notes every day cumulatively. Ask questions if you do not understand concept. Read text for support Make your own list of Sociology terms to be prepared for Current Event reports. Do this and you will be prepared for tests, each class and most importantly your own learning
Sad excuse for a professor. I read all the pages in the chapters and took notes, and his tests are basically designed to make you fail. Waste of money and time. Professor enjoys being on a power trip it seems like.. Not recommended and if you see him, run for the hills. Embarrassment to the teaching profession
Organized and very knowledgeable lecture .
Not my fav. He was SO inconsistent with due dates. Would take off 15+ points for lateness when it wasn't late because he literally forgot his own due dates, and then wouldn't even admit to his own mistake or apologize. He generally came off as stuck-up and very "my-way-or-the-highway" but idk. It was an online class, maybe he's different in person.
The classes are pretty good,I really enjoyed it. I recommend it.
Great professor
Lots of notes, need to be on top of studying to pass the tests. Pretty straight forward, gives extra credit!
