AMAZING ALL AROUND!

People don't understand that Mr. Schmitt has a different method of teaching. He's a very cool guy and he's understanding. It would be hard to fail his class, so I would highly recommend taking him.

He totally kicks ass! Down to earth and funny =) Fun

I did not do so well in this class. YOu really need to read and pay attention. Is a fun teacher however

I think he is a good teacher. He is very smart. Sometimes he yells and stuff but other then that he is good. I've learned a lot from him.

What a cool dude!!!! He may not talk word for word from the book but it's cool how we get to talk about different issues. He's not one of those dusty gray-haired professors so that's a big help, especially at Morton College!!!!

He's great! loves his students. I mean he really cares. If you do what he asks you can get an A easy but if you don't, well then you'll suffer but it's all up to you.

At first I thought he was a nice teacher but now I don't think so. He talks about his life and what he does over the weekend more than he teaches. I haven't really learned anything. If you really want to learn about psychology then I think you should take a different teacher.

Mr. Schmitt is a great teacher. i leaned alot from in not only in psyc but also about life. its awesome to get to know a teacher on more of a personal level. im not out of morton yet but i wanna go back just so that i can retake one of his classes again. great teacher

Too, too easy. Class takes internet quizes (multiple choice & cheatable) every week that are baced off of the chapter we were "supposed" to read. Exams questions are EXACT replicas of of the some internet quiz questions, which are multiple choice. 1 essay required based off of a book of personal choice. Note: He is a charming a___ole.

Real interesting class, quiz and test real easy to do, and learn. Started and finished the book essay an hour before it was due and passed. Learned alot. Funny when he rips people apart.

Mr. Schmitt was a good teachers but to pass his class you must read the chapters he assigns. The class was fun and but you must participate.

He is a great professor and very well at explaining things. He does a great job at relating the things in the book to real life situations.I've learned a lot in his class and would recomend him to anyone. His class is fairly easy and you should have no trouble passing.

Well, if you're talking about easy A, this is the class. Quiz is online, and the final questions are from the quiz. If you want to get challenge, or want to understand a depth meaning of psychology, don't take this class.

Straight forward on day one in what he expects from you as a student. Easy A, if you LISTEN TO HIM. He even tells you how to study for his exams and get an A. You have to write a paper, but it is very easy. Overall, great instructor. A great class to take during the summer. Your exams consist of all the mini quizzes you take. Easy to study for.

Mr.Schmitt always kept the class fun and interesting. Always encourages his students to ask questions and participate in discussion. He was always straight forward, and he made getting up at 8 in the morning, worth it!

Class is so fun. Exams are extremely easy. One paper required. He is very interesting and smart. I recommend him for everybody!

He is a good teacher all you got to do is keep up with the work he gives you and quizzes are easy. Just study the review its the same!!! Realy made the class fun. Should have taken him the firstime.

Very outgoing teacher! Really nice and he makes everything easy just make the effort and do everything he says to do if not you'll probably get a C average grade but its easy just study the reviews its the same thing!

Mr. Schmitt is an interesting individual. He is Professional and yet "down to earth". You can tell he takes extreme interest in what he teaches! His lectures will always hold your interest. I had a couple personal days and he was understanding in allowing me to catch up with the rest of the class. Funny, kind and a great teacher !

His lectures are really interesting, i always looked forward to coming to class. Never missed once. He also offers extra credit if you always show up.

Mr. Schmitt had expectation I met them, many of my classmates didn't, telling from the look of their faces when midterms were done. Mr Schmitt class is straight forward, you read and do test, he comes in and answers our questions and continues to the next chapter. I could have done less work bc he gets very lenient at the end. You should take him!

Do not slack off, tests are pretty much a breeze. There is this book project where you get a book from his list and read and type an essay. If you try hard in class he will be willing to give you a good grade if you slack off and he knows he will NOT curve your grade.

Its pretty much the same thing each class you read the chapter he goes over it and you take a quiz online

He's lectures are super easy to understand, although he does seem to get off topic at times, he makes everything super clear. He gives extra credit for attendance and his test are everything he's talked about. He always tries to make his class as enjoyable as possible. He's very easy going and when it comes down to help you just need to ask.

Very good is clear of what he wants and just as he tells you the begning of the semester he keeps it although he cancels class alot i would recommend him

Overall it was a great course, he's very knowledgeable on the subject. Grading, tests, and expectations are very clear. Show up, do your reading, do your quizzes, study, and turn in your assignments and you will be fine. Schmitt will take the time to explain and clarify any questions a student may have. Great teacher, highly recommend him.

Very easy class, and super easy to pass. As long as you do the readings he assigns online, and do the chapter quizzes at the end you will know exactly what is on the test. I'm taking another one of his classes for second semester.

Easy class

He's a chill, funny guy. He keeps his lectures interesting. Be prepared to take notes. He's very straightforward, there's a lot of online work as well as in class tests. Definitely taking him for PYS215 if he's teaching it.

This is a lecture class and all hw/book is online. Getting an A is not hard as long as you're doing the hw honestly. The well paced lecture and the online reading + little quizzes in the reading is a good combo for sinking in info. He's also pretty funny and gives really memorable lectures that I feel has changed some ways of thinking I had.

If you study the online quizzes you'll definitely pass. He's a very open minded person and very caring. Do the quizzes online and it'll really help your grade.

Took Intro to Psychology with Mr. Schmitt and loved the class. Amazing professor with inspirational lectures. Assignments, quizzes, and all other coursework is fairly simply as long as you engage in class and pay attention. He keeps class interesting with a sense of humor and a drive to help you learn and improve. I wish more teachers were like him

Mr. Schmitt was one of my favorite professors of the semester I took his class. He was engaging with all of the students and really seemed to enjoy teaching. The class material was just right for the level class it was. I really enjoyed the fact that Mr. Schmitt encouraged open dialogue in class. I would definitely take his class again.

I really enjoyed taking this class with Professor Schmitt. He was clear about what he expected from his students. He always answered my emails promptly, and was very clear about what to study for the tests. I took this class in the summer and he was understanding about the fact that we needed to study a great deal of material in a short time.

After not attending college for a few years, I was slightly worried about how it would be. Mr. Schmitt was an excellent professor, he made the subject matter very interesting and was particularly good at helping us apply the text to life. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and would take other classes with him.

Professor Schmitt is an awesome teacher. He strongly encourages reading the material and complete all module assignments to pass his class. He uses his life experiences during lectures which are very interesting and funny. He will help you if you help yourself meaning don't come to him asking for help when you didn't put forth any prior effort.

Overall one of the best teachers on Campus. Not an easy A, you have to work for it. Creates an outstanding learning experience within the classroom

Professor Schmitt is definitely a great professor. His lectures were interesting. He really helps you understand the material. I was so misguided by other reviews. You will not be disappointment. You will definitely learn a lot. He gives you more than enough time to do H.W. No writing assignment. He stays on task and is very organized.

Explains topics in different ways and relates it to the real world. He will tell you things straight up. For my semester he also did Schmitt Office hours which was a separate session online. If you chose to participate he showed us his knowledge on relaxation methods and yoga. That was done on his own time. Just a free bonus. GREAT Professor!

It was my first time taking psychology this year and i was very pleased with this professor! He relates the topic to the real world which made me understand better. He also gives MORE than enough time to do hw assignments and quizzes. Would definitely take him again!

Being my first year at Morton, I didn't really know what to expect. Mr. Schmitt is for sure one of my favorite teachers this semester. He's very engaged with the students. He often mentions his personal life experiences to help us comprehend certain situations from the readings, which I find extremely helpful. I'd take his class all over again!

I took PSY-101 and PSY-215 with Mr. Schmitt. He made our recent transition from on campus to online, due to the mandated stay at home order, smooth. In general, he's reliable, makes lecture and material relatable with a funny twist, and gives a multitude of opportunity to pass his class. In short, I was highly satisfied & recommend this professor.

Hands down an excellent Professor!!! He makes his lectures very enjoyable and humorous. Do the homework and reading he assigns and you will for sure pass his tests with an A.

Professor Schmitt was a very interactive teacher. I learned so much in his class, I thought his lectures were very entertaining, he not only talked about the chapter, he too tied what we were learning to real life scenarios and related it to his life, this making it easier to understand the subject. He was one of my favorite teachers this year.

Mr. Schmitt was a great professor for Lifespan Psychology! Every class was super engaging and we learned many life lessons along with a lot of interesting material. Our workload was very straightforward and never confusing. I enjoyed this class! We went online due to COVID and he made the transition extremely easy!

I enjoyed this class a lot. He was very self explanatory and no textbook is required at all. He grades fair and the work is nothing difficult. His lectures are amazing and you learn something new in his class. If you keep up with work and do great in his exams you will be fine. Will for sure take another class of his again later on!
