Old tests are online, attendence not required, and he has great stories.
Seems to really care about whether or not you understand tha material.
Very good lecturer. He definitely seems to have passion and knowledge about the subject, but sometimes you get vibes that his presentation is a bit canned and he is more impressed with himself than truly genuine about the things he seems passionate abou
Schupp is the bomb. Very friendly guy. I wish all proffs were like him.
Really knows his stuff and thinks sense of humour is important. Doesn't take any liberal whining crap from anyone.
Great speaker, great stories, very respectful, requires class silence, class keeps interest. My favorite class that I would take again just for fun.
Great class. He makes it easy to understand. Lectures are entertaining and tests are easy as long as you go to class. Old tests are on his website and he doesnt vary too much from them!
i went to 5 classes and recieved a B. Study all his old test and you'll do fine. know supreme court justices for bonus question
Although I could have passed without attending, I went to every class because they were enjoyable.
I loved Schupp's class. I would definately take it again if I could. As long as you study his old tests from his website you will get an 'A' in his class. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!!!
He is a great speaker and teacher. His charisma and sense of humor make the lectures interesting and entertaining. The subject matter is not necessarily easy, but a student can still get an "A" by attending class and studying old tests.
Test got hard after he read this page!! Took offense to postings about test bank, diverted from it for second test. Come on Bob, we use your bank as an extra tool, not a cheat sheet... Regardless, fun teacher that makes material easily understandable
His test are not that difficult, although he does try to trick you. Everything that is on the tests, he has discussed very well in class. He is a good professor!! The greatest ever.
I think he wants to be your friend more than a professor, tests are difficult bc they are designed to trick! A nice enough guy with entertaining stories, but he must have stopped using old tests to make new tests this semester.
thanx bob! loved your class!! the stories and examples given were very helpful! one class that i didnt fall asleep in!
This is the best class I have taken at UNF! The book is not easy to understand, but as long as you go to class you will understand what is going on, he explains it very well!
This class was a breeze. Just study the old exams off his website.
very nice professor. It's the best class I took at UNF so far.
He's teaching and is still practicing law. Great combo for this class. It's not necessary to go to all classes, but still go because classes are enjoyable.
Classes are fun. Seems like a NAZI at first but Bob is super cool w/the typical laywer attitude. Tests are a joke. Just download old tests and study them. The test questions are pulled verbatum from those. Go to class if you want to be entertained.
great professor
Easy Cool but dont talk in class, Study his old tests and never have to read the book...but you still learn alot. great teaching style
funny, cool, and has a super fine T.A.
Very good class. He explains things with real world cases. Makes you think in class by asking you to give your opinion on a case and then tells you how you would be sued for making that decision. Lots of fun!
This is the best teacher ever!!!!!!!!!
He is a great teacher. He's very informative and wants you to understand concepts rather than just memorize words. He genuinelly cares for the student and wants us to succeed which is rare for teachers these days.
Bob is great. He makes the subject matter very interesting and he is hilarious. He makes fun of everybody including himself and the class is easy.Just 3 tests and you don't have to show up for class.Study old tests on website and get an A.
Great teacher! Hes funny and he gives great examples that help you understand the material. He does choose students and put them on the spot to answer questions. His tests have questions straight from questions on previous tests hes given and you can find them on his website. Study them good!
great teacher!!! make sure to study the old tests on his websites....a lot if not all of the test questions are there!! you dont have to go to class, but you'll do better if you do. plus he makes class interesting.
Classes are very entertaining, very charismatic professor. Explains concepts well. Look over old tests on his website and you get half of the questions on the exam. An easy A if go to class, read chapters(easy read), and look over a couple of old tests.
Great professor! Kept class very interesting with real life examples and some humor every now and then. As far as exams are concerned, read the chapters and attend class and you will do fine.
funny guy, very funny guy. Keeps students involved in class which makes you want to learn. Graded on 3 tests, one being a final. Has an old test bank online that if you study, makes the tests easy A's
Good teacher. He posts his old exams on website. Study and understand them and you will do well.
Schupp is one of UNF's best professors! He makes what would be a really boring tedious subject fun & easy to understand. If you attend class and study the exams he posts on his website you'll pass the class just fine. Take Schupp if possible.
I went to one lecture and recieved a B. Imagine what you can get if you attend.
Great Teacher. Very helpful with understanding concepts. Excellent class discussions. Practice tests are online. If you read and go to class it's an easy A.
arrogant
Rubs some people the wrong way, but he is a great teacher. Explains everything crystal clear...I studied for tests by just reading a few notes I wrote in the margins of the book. Covers absolutley everything, cares for his students, even if he makes jokes.
i never went to class only for exams tip STUDY THE LAST 4 YEARS OF EXAMS and you will get an A memorize the questions and answers
loves what he does and it shows if you do not know basic grammar, you will not do well in his class - wordy and tricky. Great class and I learned invaluable contract information!
Very funny, kept class interesting. Having a lawyer as a business law teacher is greatly to your benefit.
I loved his class! He made dull topics at times, very interesting and fun. Test questions could be confusing, but overall it was a great class. He's also funny which is a plus.
he is a great guy...likes to crack jokes...doesnt require attendance which is cool...but he took all old tests off website except one example per test...about 40% of test is exactly whats on the website, but this year you actually have to read the chapters and study...overall he is a cool guy and the class isnt hard
Nice guy, funny, lets class out early alot. Pretty easy class, some studying required. I put in a minimal effort and got a c.
EASY "A"
Great teacher in my opinion. Like the others raters said, having a lawyer as your business law teacher really helps. He understands all concepts in and out and throughly explains them. Very helpful to students. Tests are tricky, just because of the type of language used. If you can grasp the language, easy A.
Great teacher. Funny guy. Cares about his students. Classes are fun, and you never have to attend all of them. Test banks are online. I suggest you check them before you take class and then again when you are taking the class.
Great class. If you are interested in law or buiness then you will learn alot. Tests are online and he thoroughly explains all concepts.
He is an ok teacher. He explains things well and drags in others. This is the first term he did not put a lot of practice tests online. So you need to study to pass in his class if that is the case with your class. Overall he is not a bad teacher but then again not the greatest either!
3 Tests only. Better study for all 3 if you bomb one your pretty screwed. Multiple choice test questions have several right answers. You have to pick the more correct answer.
Knows his stuff...very good teacher...explains situations well...covers all material for test...reading the book is helpful...follows it closely...has previous terms test online aswell.
The best teacher, he was very funny and gave great real life examples. I loved this class! The test are challenging but very straight to the point. As long as you come to class, study and pay attention you will get an A easily.
He is a great teacher. The lectures are very intresting, and he has great knowledge of teh material. The tests are a little tricky, but if you read the question completely you will pass. Most of the material is covered in class bu you still have to read the book some.
Schupp knows the material very well. Usually he makes the class pretty interesting, but on his bad days the lectures suck. Don't talk in class, he'll murder you. Make sure you go to class because the book is outdated and he tells you to change some things. The tests can be tricky, but if you study, you can get out of there with a B np.
very nice you must read the book though to pass the test not just listening to the lectures
Dr Schupp is a terrific professor. Interesting lectures, practice tests, and reasonable exams. Class material closely follows book. I learned a lot and would definately recommend this class. Also, if anyone ever needs a good lawer look up Dr Schupp!
Fairly easy class, but very interesting! Learned alot from this class. His teaching style is very great! Answers many of the students questions, and tries to involve everyone for participation. Goes over everything on test, and even gives previous tests from other semesters to study. Half the questions are a given if you use process of elimination.
Bob Schubb is one of the best teachers I've had! He is funny and makes a borring subject interesting. Be a good note taker and read the parts of the book that he tells you to read and it's an easy class.
He is a great professor and his class is very easy to pass with an A. Just read the book and go to class cause he will sometimes things from the book and he gives a lot of examples during class which will come in the test. The test are tricky but if u read and went to class it will be very easy.
Professor Schupp is really funny, cool, and laid back, but those things won't help you get an A in the class. This class for me was very hard. In fact it was the hardest I've ever taken my enitre time at UNF. Take good notes and memorize the law. I ended up having to drop this course, but I'm going to retake it with him again. Atleast this time I"l
This guy rocks.....
This is a very interesting class but it is rather hard. There are only 3 multiple choice tests and that is your only grade. If you come to class and take notes, it helps a lot. You really have to put time into studying though!
He has his good days and BAD! this term he is having far too many Bad days! Walking out of class, because someone was "talking" I think they were chewing gum! What a "Prema- Donna" Surly he is part of the good'ole boy network at UNF and city of Jaxs. Otherwise he would be kicked out for his offensive, sexual comments on both guys & gals.
Bob Schupp is awesome. Just go to class, pay attention and take notes. He posts exams from past classes on his website so if you study those it's very helpful. Only 3 exams in the whole class so make sure you do well on those. Very funny and interesting professor!
I had a very disappointing experience with him. I had heard good things about him, yet it was totally negative for me. He is very unprofessional, ignorant and ****. A total disgrace for UNF.
Interesting course. Schupp explains things well and is funny, too. Read the assigned chapters and you'll do fine. Just don't talk while he’s talking!
good teacher. explains material very well. this class challenges your ability to think. he is rather hot tempered and ill mannered if you speak in his class. take notes on what he says and read the book. take notes on all vocab. tests reflect his lecture and book vocab. he curves HUGE! and he gives xtra credit. know the supreme court justices.
Great professor, and the class is extremely easy. Go to class and you'll make an A on every test with no problem. Didn't use the book at all, so it's a waste of money. Make sure you stufy the old tests he'll use some of the same questions. Great guy would take again if possible.
I love Bob Schupp! Go to class. I read the book for the first test then realized I didn't need to. Don't even buy it. His lectures are so interesting. You will learn things that you can apply in life. Also, he is an extremely good looking man.
Awesome teacher! Learned a lot, and he kept it fun!
Bob's class is somewhat interesting. Never had to do anything in his class besides study. It was harder for me cause I'm better at memorizing material rather than applying it. He does curve and I ended up with a B in his class.
i loved this class! you think its going to be hard being law and all, but he makes it so intresting, and is so funny! he really relates the material to examples, and if you go and study (not memorize) you can at least pull off a b! one thing: DONT TALK in his class. hes such a cutie, and very knowldgeable, you couldnt ask for a better teacher!
Good Teacher! His class is very fun, it was my favorite class. Don’t talk in class he hates that, and don’t stretch either he’s going to make it notice. If you go to his office with questions, he is going to write your name down in a list for extra credit. He helps you during tests if you have a doubt about the right answer. He is nicer in the clas
I loved the guy. He's a great entertainer. If you go to his classes and read the book won't have any problems to get an A.
He tells it like it is. Very honest person and doesn't hold back. Very funny and entertaining. Read the assigned chapters and you will do great on his test.
Great teacher, clear, funny and helpful. Attend classes (his examples are often on tests), listen carefully, make notes. Getting A was easy with this strategy (though average in class was C - keep that in mind).
Lets the late classes out a lil early. Tough project.
nice guy, hard m/c tests, one big project that changes a few times,he lets classes out a lil earlier at night ive heard.
Don't talk in this class. He will put you on the spot if you do. You will need the book to study for the tests because sometimes he doesn't put the reviews up in time.
He's a good teacher, and you can tell he's a lawyer the moment you walk into class. Learned a lot about contracts in the business law class.
Difficult class overall. tests are m/c and occasionaly have more than one right answer. He tends to only let his later classes out early if anything. Take Meshaw
Hard class have to keep up if you want a passing grade. Take the night classes he offers more parking and he let our night class out early.
Hard tests but some extra credit. Study alot and you will do fine. Take the night classes he offers, more parking and he let our night class out early.
Hard m/c and essay question tests. Deff don't talk in class unless you want him to say something to you.
he made me cry because he called me a "stupid girl" in front of the whole class just because I forgot a scantron!
One of the best classes a had this semester! Go to class, take good notes (examples he give in class will be on the exam) and enjoy! He makes the class a lot easier! - the concepts in the book are not that easy to grasp, so take good notes and study from there! Don't miss class!! If you do, get the notes from someone else
Great professor. If you come to class and take his notes then you will pass. And do his practice tests! They are very similiar to the real ones!
Good Professor. He has one rule, DO NOT TALK DURING CLASS! He can be very rude, but if your a good student you should get an easy B or A. Go to class and take notes, because his notes are on the test. Second test was the hardest.
If you take really good notes, you really wont even need to read the book. The test questions are fairly hard but you will have heard them all before if you were in class.
The class is a little hard, but nothing that you cannot handle. He acts a little bit like he's full of himself, but i guess he's alright. I don't like when he puts you on the spot in class when he ask questions. But overall an okay teacher.
This dude is cool. Kinda guy you wanna drink with. Advice; dont ever talk during a lecture unless u wanna c someone pissed off, attend class, do xtra credit, and study. Those who say he's hard are those who never attended class. Funny as hell, but cranky since his "sex change operation." Texas and army all the way. Again dont talk in class be ware
Great Professor, has inspired me to go to law school. You have to study a lot in order to pass this class. As a transfer student from FCCJ, I assumed that the work load would be similar, but it wasn't. In order to pass this class you must know the material and be able to apply it, it's not just memorization.
This class was way more interesting than I expected it to be. The textbook can be a little wordy, but Prof. Schupp made it all very clear and interesting. I found him to be very helpful. It's obvious that he likes to talk to pretty girls, but he maintains his boundaries, which is more than can be said for some professors at UNF.
Totally full of himself.
Great professor. Has knowledge both in the real world as a lawyer and in the classroom. Tests are NOT difficult as some would say but they do require you to attend his class and read the book. His lectures will not put you to sleep. This guy has a very blunt lawyer sense of humor that some might find offensive. He's sincere about students.
He is a great teacher, he doesnt want you to talk in class. Example in classes are way more easier than text question, but always open to help students
This a a good class to take when you have a couple other hard classes. It's not easy but take good notes and study his example questions and you will get a good grade. And please don't talk in him class. Everyone is told not to but there is always a few that do.
Read and understand the chapter, the textbook is very wordy so it is difficult to understand everything if you just read through it once before the test. Take good notes and know the supreme court justices. Don't talk in class
This professor is awesome! He is so nice and if you ever need help his door is always open! I would definitely say to read and outline the chapters. The more you put into this class the better grade you will get. Definitely KNOW the questions he post online. They will most likely be on the test. Enjoy the class it is really interesting!
Great Teacher, helps you to understand what he is teaching and makes what could be a miserable class fun. Schupp rocks
Great prof, if you actually go to class and listen to him, you Learn so much about law that could be useful one day. I would def take him again, one of the best teachers in my view
He's hilarious!! 3 tests...pretty straight forward...no tricks on the tests...just make sure when taking notes to write down his examples and study them!! Blackboard study questions help a lot! Know 3 current supreme court judges for extra credit on test 2...Do 12 hrs Community service & he'll give you 2pts on your final grade!! DEF TAKE HIM!
Very clear in explanations and use of examples. Tests came straight out of textbooks and sample questions on Bb. Good class, boring subject.
Great professor!! The 2nd test is harder than the 1st so don't start slacking. Make sure to look over any sample questions he posts! What he says is on the test really is. Lectures are easy to listen to & very clear. He uses humor and off the wall stories to help you remember the key elements. The man has a real knack for teaching!
Professor Schupp is a talented teacher. He communicates to his class great and is extremely helpful. He made a not so interesting topic interesting by using entertaining examples. If administrators at UNF read this I suggest to you to give this guy a raise he's probably the best teacher you have got!
Mr. Schupp is very interesting he will make you love law and even make you feel as though your next step is law school. His study guides are helpful for the test. Alot to retain in a short semesters. You've got to study only 3 test 1 extra credit. He doesn't get to know the students and very stand offish after class if you have a question.
Retired lawyer, so well rounded on knowledge of material. Lectures are based on text, but you have to attend to do well on exams. Examples in lecture provide a great deal of understanding for content, and he will test on those examples. Pay attention! Its a very interesting class, with useful information for the 'real world'
Really funny teacher. Explains concepts in terms that even morons can comprehend. One of the best teachers I've ever had.
Definitely knows his stuff. Coming to class makes it way easier to understand. Not easy material, but not too difficult either if you just read. Nice guy who really wants you to learn. Remember his examples from lecture. Tests are "real world" questions. Only 3 tests for grades. Come to class, read, and you'll do fine. DON'T TALK IN CLASS!
VERY ENTERTAINING!!! really good guy. Study the book. AND study the practice exams he takes most of the exm questions from there. DO that EC that he will explain the first day of class. Those two points really help. He takes no BS..
Go to class and pay attention, he uses a lot of examples to expain stuff but it will be on the test. Puts questions online, a lot of them are on the exam.
This is a great professor! He makes class fun. If you go to class and read the book, then you should make an A in the class.
This class is really hard!!! He gets off topic all the time. And when you are taking notes he never repeats what he has said so it is basically impossible to write anything down. I would NOT recommend him!!
Schupp is a good teacher and makes learning law extremely fun. He kind of sarcastic so be careful with the questions. Test are not hard, but you must understand the material. He invites questions if you need clarity on any thing. He also gives a "study guide" which is helpful.
Only went to class for the 3 tests and maybe 2 other occasions. Professor is funny, but thinks his __ dont stink. (He's a lawyer) Study his study guides (SERIOUSLY) and read the chapters and your good. Very straightforward class, sticks to syllabus
Interesting class, seriously had me considering law school. Schupp was awesome, his expectations were clear and test weren't bad at all. Take good notes, review study guide, and remember his examples and you'll do fine. Should be an easy A.
Amazing class. Schupp is not only funny, but also very concise and clear on the material. Go to class and study the practice questions he posts online and you will do fine. Class is not mandatory but It makes things a lot easier. Definitely go, it's generally a fairly enjoyable class anyways.
The person who posted on 3/25/10 is an idiot. Very easy, very interesting class if you go to class and read the material.
Go to class, take notes and READ the chapters. Really enjoyed the class. His lectures are interesting and his sense of humor is terrific. He posts study guides that are helpful but they have tons of questions so review them early. The exams are not too diffucult if you review your notes.
Great professor, just study and read the book. Most exam questions are from the study guides, so make sure you read them. Great stories
Class is really interesting. He says stories to make you understand the concepts and all you have to do is read the sample work and texts and you'll be fine! i like him
Three exams make up grade. Material is difficult with all sorts of ambiguities but be sure to study the lecture. He's an interesting guy with loads of experience and keeps my interest in lectures. I would recommend him!
He is amazing. His lectures are fun and interesting. You will never get bored. His exams aren't super hard if you attend class, read the book, and study his guidelines. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!
Very hard tests! He is a good professor, but he gives no extra credit, and test are hard.
Professor Schupp is a great teacher. Funny and entertaining. Enjoyable class. The test is not hard if you read the book and most exam questions from study guide.Don't talk in class.
he is amazing, though tests but he knows how to teach you, so don't worry :) UNF needs to raise his salary because he is the only professor in UNF that worth it o be kept! & DON'T TALK DURING HIS LECTURES!
LOVED this class! He is an amazing professor that does a great job at keeping the class engaged. He has great stories! Go to class, KNOW the study guides and you will do fine!
Very good professor. Has a lot of knowledge, and gives you exam questions to study WAY before the tests.
Prof. Schupp's lectures are pretty interesting! Course consisted of 3 exams, that's it. Provides study questions, although they can be extremely lengthy, on Blackboard. Highly recommended!
Great professor! Knows what he is talking about. Keeps the class engaged with interesting lectures. 3 exams all multi choice. He also has a great sense of humor. Don't miss class!
Great professor. Very engaging lectures that just make the time fly. Real world examples with real world knowledge in the field. Very logical guy with an open mind. Material is as expected, reading the book & attending class is all you have to do. He's a retired high ranking Army Officer/Lawyer. One of the greats, a real asset to UNF.
Prof. Schupp is a very engaging professor. His lectures are not boring, he is knowledgeable, helpful, and fair in grading. If you take notes and study them, there is no reason you should not get an A in his class.
Professor Schupp is very forward. He engages the class with life stories and interesting jokes and relationship advise. He is superbly entertaining, helpful with the subject material, and is more than helpful with any questions you have( I called him on Sunday to ask him about a test question-butdontdo this!)Read book even parts not spec. conver.
Professor Schupp is a great teacher. The class is difficult, even though you don't have to attend every week, you need to read the chapters and study hard for each exam because they are difficult. He's forward but hilarious at the same time, creates a great learning atmosphere and makes business law somewhat fun.
Schupp is hilarious. Great lecturer. Attendance is not required, but you should definitely go, as the notes help on the test. 3 exams make up your grade. Not overly difficult if you go to class and read the chapters.
Great professor! Take detailed notes and study from the SAMPLE QUESTIONS he provides and you will do well! He engaged the class with comedy and scenarios from his own life that were consistent with the material covered in the book. Great class!
The professor had a lot of real life examples. He still practices law and teaches at night. His lectures were very informative and he always incorporated humor. Listen well, read the book, ask questions, study and know the study questions. This should be one of the required classes in general education. I really learned a lot from this class.
Professor schupp was clear and caring for the most part. His class was a bit simple and really only meant for the most basic of classes.
Professor Schupp is an excellent teacher. He is very clear and makes the subject interesting. He is also considerate of students' financial situations and doesn't require overpriced textbooks.
Great professor with a lot of real world experience. Very funny and you can just tell he loves students. Considerate of financial needs and takes cost into consideration when selecting the textbook. Great guy, UNF is lucky to have him.
Great teacher! Explains things very well. Dont talk in his class! He is mean the first day or so cause he wants to get his point across, but he comes around and his class is fun. Should go to every class, the terminology makes more sense when he explains it rather than just reading it in the book. He gives real examples.
Great professor. Good real life examples to make you understand the concepts. Jokes are a little dated and uses the same ones from semester to semester.
Exactly everything he says will be on the test. Didn't really use book at all. Super easy, I got a 100 on one of the tests. Know the supreme court justices, he will give extra credit! and don't talk during class, he'll call you out. Funny guy take him!
Definitely need the textbook. His lectures are all over the place, very unorganized and definitely don't cover everything on the tests which are HARD. Do not only rely on lecture notes for the tests, take notes directly out of the text and study. Class is not mandatory but usually pretty interesting hes a cool guy.
Schupp is a nice guy. But he can be extremely confussing because he tries to connect 10 random thoughts to one idea and no one will speak up in a 250 person room. Not much textbook use. tests can be a little challenging.
Prof. Schupp is great. His class isn't particularly hard. There are only 3 tests and as long as you study you shouldn't have a big problem. I finished the class with an A.
Prof Schupp is a nice guy but not very helpful if you go to his office hours. You need to attend class, take notes, and study the book to do well in this class. Lectures can be unorganized at times.
Good Professor. Course is pretty straight forward. Only three tests - multiple choice, 50 questions. Go to class, take notes and read the chapters. That's it. He puts example test questions on Blackboard. I learned a lot. Glad I took him.
this class is super easy if you attend class and take really good notes, plus read the book (at least skim). I made an A in this class.
Hands down, the best professor at UNF! He holds the title of a TRUE MAN!
Awesome professor!!!
Don't really need to attend class. I only read the book and looked over the sample test questions and passed with a B. He's really funny though, class is never boring!
Best teacher ever! 3 Exams, 50 multiple choice questions each. Funny, keeps the class engaged,Definitely take this professor!
One of the best professors that I took at UNF. He has the best stories and is super funny. He is a teacher I won't forget, and I definitely recommend taking him!
Professor Schupp is one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are interesting and the class is straightforward. If we go over it in class, it is on the test.
Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. He keeps the class interesting with examples and hilarious stories. Wish he was teaching all the courses I'm required to take...
One of the best teachers I have ever taken! He takes a topic that is super boring and turns it into real life examples that are easy to understand. Attendance is not mandatory but go because what he talks about in class goes on the tests.I recommend looking at his sample questions because that is were some of the test questions come from.
He is a GREAT teacher. His tests are the exact same semester to semester. He is extremely entertaining and uses exact examples from class in the test. Study the question bank he sends out. They are word for word! DO NOT talk in his class! He WILL call you out! If you take notes in class, you wont find the book a necessity.
Take Professor Schupp's class because he teaches from personal examples and experience. He does not rely on the text book, but it is a good idea to read it. I would recommend not talking in his class unless your talking to him. He will call you out! But, he does care about his students. He is an outstanding professor and lawyer.
Go to class and take notes of whatever he writes. This is a 3000 level so treated like one. Get ready!!!
Easy class, take notes and review the practice test. He sometimes goes off topic. Do Not contradict his opinions! Do not talk in class! You will get called out and yelled at. Technology is welcomed. He is an old professor specialty is real estate law. Easy A!
Schupp is an interesting character with a ton of stories. I took the course in Summer A (6 weeks) so it was an accelerated pace. Your only grades are 3 tests (33.33% each) so you have to do well on them. He gives you plenty of sample questions (which often find their way on the test) and you'll be using the book and BVTLab to make up the restSTUDY
Took his six week summer class and he is awesome! Gives real world experiences that make the material so much more easier to understand. He gave only 3 tests which he went over all the material on them. Take him!
I took his Bus Law in the spring then this Masters-level elective over the 12 week summer semester. He is CLEAR about what he wants you to focus on, his tests are straight forward, and he is funny, in my opinion. He tells great stories and makes you laugh. Take Schupp if possible!
He's the only professor so you have to take him regardless but he's awesome! Very funny and lectures are actually interesting. The tests aren't hard but make sure you read. He gives test question examples which a lot of them are on the test.
This is a class where you can show up to every lecture, transcribe every word he says, and study it and still end up with a high C. The lectures are entirely example based, it is one legal story after another. It's very entertaining, and he can be very animated about it, but when it comes to the tests, the stories get dramatically more complex.
While he is not a bad person, his stories end up wasting your time. He assumed we were all crazy, partying college students and wasted my time giving me advice to that fact. Thanks but no thanks. Don't miss class. He makes tests based off of class. Also, he gave us "practice questions" but there were nearly 600 for us to sift through.
Best Professor on Campus. The example questions he gives out are word for word whats on the Tests. His class is fun to go to, and teaches with great enthusiasm. He's a brother of Delta Sigma Pi, Professional Business Fraternity on Campus.
Best Professor I have had! He keeps you interested in the material. You do need to show up for class for the stories that he will use as examples on his test. If you read the material and listens to the stories he tells in class you'll get an B or higher on his test.
Material was somewhat confusing at times, but prof. did a great job at clarifying. Only had 3 exams. Skim through chapters covered at very least. No PowerPoint, but made notes on the board. Certainly knows business law.
If you want an A in this course, you have to earn it. His tests are tough and unforgiving. You can't just show up and expect to get an A or B.. You might get a C if you're lucky. Study hard, and listen to lectures because the stories he lectures on more than likely will be on the test. Go over the questions he gives you, they are the test
If you have eyes and ears, you should pass this class with an A!! Pay attention because Dr. Schupp will tell you what is on the test!!!! There are no curve balls, he doesn't try to trick you, he's straight forward and provides for an interesting lecture.
3 tests that are worth 33% each. Just read the book and show up and you'll pass with a C.
AARP with Style! Knows his stuff, shares his ideas (personal ones which can lead to butt hurt feelings), an dis a master tactician. Old school and very cool, makes the law more understandable and subconsciously will remind you that "the best lawyer wins" is the rule of the land!
Love him! He's like my favorite professor currently. He's funny, and really cares about you learning, make sure you come to class cause majority of the tests questions are from lectures. Also read the book ! Take Him! you won't regret it ! and he has a lot of life lessons.
Shupp is an amazing teacher. He is by far my favorite professor ever. I plan on going to his lectures next semester just to listen. The class has complicated concepts but Shupp explains them and uses examples that really help.
I enjoyed coming to his lecture 2 times a week. I will not forget the stories. He explained the content in a way so that it felt like well duh, that is common sense I should know this I can use this in real life.
He is an awesome and good Professor.
Take his class he's hilarious! He has a great lecture style heavily dependent on stories that help you understand the complex theory, esp. in exam. Keys to passing his class: - if he writes it on the board, write it down! It's probably on the test! - attend class (he will ask exam questions on things discussed in class but not in the book)
He knows what he is teaching, gives great examples, and very helpful. Only graded by exams and he gives study guides.
He lectures every class (class before exam will always be a "review"-he just allows questions the entire class then you can leave) The best way to study for this class is write notes during lectures put stars by anything he writes on the board, study those for tests There are 3 tests and that is your grade Best lecturer there is! He is awesome!
Really good, funny. You could skip the class, read the book and learn 95% of what you need for the tests, but then you would miss out on his easy to understand, real world examples. You'd also miss out on his wit. Do well on the tests and you'll be good to go because that's all there is. 3 tests, no homework, no paper/project and no do overs.
Hilarious, charismatic professor who is really passionate about business law. You're only graded on 3 tests all semester, and they're mostly from lectures. The book isn't necessary if you attend every class and take good notes. He has lots of wisdom and enjoys giving advice, so make it a point to go talk to him after class or during office hours.
Graded mostly on 3 tests so no homework to bring grade up. Tests are about 50 multiple choice questions. I'm Not the greatest at multiple choice. The notes are a bit vague but cover what is on the test. I was not able to put as much time into the class as I should have so I will have to retake.
I dont know how you can get an A without going to class to take notes. In fact, you can get an A with just his notes/examples in the lecture & reading his example test study guides. Hes a very nice talkative old man, whos a little narcissistic, but hes nice. Hes so generous you may get a nice curve in the end if youre close to the next grade.
You definitely have to take excellent notes and review them often, if you seek extra help Schupp is willing to work with you and guide you in the right direction. He is a kind person to get to know as well.
Professor Schupp is an amazing professor. He is super knowledgeable about law because he used to practice law. The tests can be difficult but if you read the chapters before the test you should be fine!
Probably the most down to earth professor I have had. Very clear about what is to be expected. Complete no BS class. If you study the book and his lectures there is no reason to fail. Realistically, it isn't that tough. Really nice guy and knows his stuff.
This was probably my favorite class I have ever taken at UNF. His lectures are always interesting. I never was bored. The only negative thing is I wish he taught more classes in the college of business. Awesome professor! Take really good notes in class and you will be fine!
Your grade is based on 3 exams alone. About 50 multi choice & t/f questions. His class is 100% lecturing, but you NEED TO ATTEND! Everything he covers in class will be on the test! The first exam is the hardest, gets a little easier after. Take notes in class and study study study them! Very fair grading. Hardly used the book, I shouldve shared one
Come to class if you don't like textbooks. I had an old textbook version (which he is ok with) that I never opened. I just showed up to each lecture. No homework, take good notes, study those notes, and pass the three tests. Notes are easy as he makes the material clear through interesting stories.
AMAZING THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY. Take him his lectures are so entertaining and it has made me want to go to law school. Also an easy A if you take good notes during his lectures, if you skip class you will be confused from reading the book
Prof. Schupp is amazing. His lectures are extremely informative but also extremely entertaining. BWL3130 has three tests and they are your only three grades. Go to class and take notes and you will do well.
I took this class to knock off an elective which was a mistake on my part because Im not that good at test taking. The class consist of only 3 exams which is hard. Dont miss class because youll be confused. He gives great examples and will help you if you need guidance. The book is needed to pass the class.
He's very entertaining and there were only three exams. He's pretty straightforward about what to study.
Schupp only had 3 grades for the whole class, all tests. Only three grades for the class. No homework and no participation necessary. Just read the definitions in the book, do some practice multiple choice, show up, and ace the tests.
Professor Schupp tells you the first day what to expect in his class and that no one passes with an A, everything he says in class will be in his 3 test. If you miss class not sure how you will pass, however attendance is not mandatory. Loved his real life stories and he is very professional and knowledgeable. Take him!
His lectures are full of stories that will be on the exams. His exams are scenarios. 3 exam
Professor Schupp does care about his students. He does not make attendance mandatory but all of his exams are based on his lectures. He does read out of the book sometimes. I rented the textbook which was helpful at times but you do not absolutely need it if you go to class. Four exams and that's your grade. Does offer EC for volunteering 12 hrs.
Very knowledgable and previously a lawyer. His lectures are interesting and informative. I liked his class.
He has a practice test which pulls multiple questions off of the real tests. Make sure to look at it if you have time. I didn't even look at the first one and did well. You don't need the book, but I found it helpful to study from. He's a really cool guy and funny. I enjoyed his class very much. Only 3 tests, so make them count at 50 MC each.
One of the best professors I ever had. His lectures cover everything you need to know, you could get by without the book, but it is nice to have to study a little more. Only 3 exams make up your grade. Very smart and has a nice sense of humor.
Schupp is not a bad professor. He's intelligent and is overall a good teacher, but given that his Business Law classes are held in gigantic lecture halls with a ton of students, it can be a stressful learning environment. Your entire grade is based off 3 exams and his questions can be difficult. I recommend reading the book & taking good notes.
This is the only teacher who teaches Legal Environment for Business. He only has 3 tests, no homework, and gives one extra credit assignment for 15 volunteer hours for a non profit organization. He follows exactly by the book so highly recommend having a hard copy to highlight. Lectures can be a boring, must attend class to get all the information.
Great story teller, really relates the material you're learning to real life examples. Can wonder off a little and seems to go out of sync sometimes with the text book but besides that his provided sample questions are exactly like the exams!
There's 1 critical rule... no talking! As long as you take good notes during lectures and study those notes, you'll do well. He shares lots of relevant stories. Also, STUDY the sample test questions (don't try to memorize) as he may change it up by adding the word "no/not" to the question. 4 tests, 50 multiple choice questions each.
Schupp gives you what you need to ace the class and succeed in life. I took his class at UNF 12 years ago. I went on to have a successful career but decided to go to law school recently. In CA, 1L must pass the baby bar. Without studying, I took sample tests and aced them solely on the knowledge gained in his class. No joke. Most valuable class!
He's a really good and hilarious professor. You can tell he loves to doing what he does. We're only graded by 3 exams so just be careful. He thoroughly goes over the topics and makes sure everyone gets it to the best of his ability. He uses crazy examples to make sure we remember them. He's also available after class and through email.
Yoau have 3 tests! 33.3% of your grade. He gets off topic and expects you to listen to his life stories as the lectures. First 2 tsets where average, but the last one was hard and many people failed it and the class! worse class ive ever taken!
3 Exams that make your grade. Try to Ace the first 2 exams because they are very easy unlike the final which had a lot of tricky situational questions. He likes to teach and to share his life experiences which helps you remember the material. The best way to study for the exams is by watching his lecture videos (they are long 2+hours but still)
The grade is based on 3 tests which are easy if you have studied from the book. His classes are extremely boring although he is a good professor and knows a lot about what he talks about. People say attendance is important but I didn't go to any class in the whole semester and still got an A, just make sure you study from the book and the test bank
Professor Schupp explains things VERY well. He takes the time to answer your questions thoroughly. He does not put up with talking in class. The only grades in the class are 3 exams, however, he does give extra credit opportunities. Take notes in class and study those, along with the powerpoints he uploads, and you should do fine on the exams.
professor does not care whatsoever what grade receive in this class. zero regard for whether his students pass or fail
Great guy but horrible time b/c you have to listen to him for 24/7 and attendance not mandatory but you will want to attend the class because he will tell you what on the exam and the materials so you can look up the sample problem he gives you on canvas which is good but you will have to read the book to understand the concept. NO TALKING in Class
You get 4 homework assignments that are worth 5 points each and 2 tests that are 90 points each and that is all. Each test is different so its impossible to study for. Pick any other teacher you will waste a semester and he does not try to help you out. I worked hard and studied in advance but if you arent aquatinted with Business Law, forget it.
Do not take this professor. His class is made up of 3 tests, and they are impossible to study for. There are three homework assignments that are 10 points to your test grade and that is it. He does not care to give extra credit, and his lecture videos are hours long of monotone speaking. He is the only professor for this class at the university. :(
Homework questions are long answer. 15 homework questions then a proctored exam. Repeat 3 times. Not a good way to learn. Glad im done!
I had him for "distance learning" because of covid. His class only has 3 grades which are 3 exams. He puts out good power point videos which are very useful. The only reason I knocked him two starts is because during this pandemic when we can't even be in school, I caught covid during an exam and he gave me a test that was way harder than the first
Idk where these bad reviews are coming from lol amazing professor. In his lecture videos he literally tells you EXACTLY what will be on the tests .. I got a 100 on the first one. Would deff take again
He is one of the older, more tenured professors at UNF. He used to be a lawyer so he teaches as if business students should easily get it. Attendance is mandatory. Tests are challenging. And there is/was plenty of homework. Take someone else if possible!
He can explain things in a much simpler way you could understand. (gives real world examples) He also cares a lot about his students. Definitely one of the better professors I have ever met.
This is a hard class but the professor's lectures are easygoing to listen to. He adds a lot of personal touches to help you remember core concepts. He really does care about students. Speak up and ask questions.
For me personally, this was the easiest class I have taken in master program. A few tests were open book and he provided questions and answers for potential exam questions to study. If you take notes, attend lecture, and practice problems, you can get an easy A without too much extra effort.
