Great Professor! He explains everything (with some other sidetrips and stories..) but he knows the subject. Very considerate and understanding. He gives articles 2 read for extra credit. You would learn a lota new stuff too!!

This prof is one of the best prof I have had thus far. I am a senior and he is helping with my last semester being stress free. He is the best teacher for anthropology. stress free class and just memorization for his exams...an Esay A for the course...take his classes as long as he is teaching..the best!!!!!!!!

Great Professor! I had him for 2 anthro classes already. He explains the lecture in a fun way for everyone to at least stay interested in the topic. His exams are mostly based on his notes. Just take good notes and you'll be fine. A lot of memorization especially those australopithecus stuff.. lol Easy A though.

I learned so much in this class. Prof Siebert is very knowledgeable and knows how to convey this complicated info with no confusion. You must attend his lectures to get a good grade b/c he derives all the exams from what he says in class. He knows the people who don't come to class (even though he doesn't take attendance).

Professor Siebert is awesome! I didnt even need the book for his class, just take notes and you will get an A. His papers for this class was easy, all he cares about is that you do them. He's has a great sense of humor and makes the class fun! Def take him! He's the BEST!

seibert is the man... took winter '08 "cultural anthropology" you think its 4 hours of hell but its nothing like that with siebert ...time FLIEs and not like we stayed for 4 hours... take good notes/study for a few minutes take the exams and you will pass with a B+ or better!

Professor Siebert is really cool, funny, and passionate about what he says in class. He is not a hard grader. However, there is a lot of reading and writing in this class, so be prepared. If you do the assignments you'll get a good grade.Overall, great professor!!..=)

SUCH AN EASY PROF!!! If you are looking for an easy elective this is the man to take, he discusses everything you need to know, skims through the papers you write so you get an A and the exams are multiple choice usually the same questions from previous exams. TAKE HIM!!

He's really disorganized. However, he's easy (he gives helpful reviews before exams - just take down everything he says cuz it will be on the test and it is the most efficient lecture you'll attend before the exam) he has couple of papers which aren't really worth much. but overall easy professor

Attendance is not Mandatory, gives review before exam, to pass you have to go to class, just about 3 papers. Only one midterm and the final. Exams are worded weirdly.

EASY A take him if you need to fulfill a social science and you also need to boost your gpa.. do the work its easy because he basically gives you the answers if you ask him whats on the tests he will let you know exactly and does not sway from it

He lectures for the whole class but most of the time, they are interesting. He is a very nice guy. He wants you to get an A in his class. If you get a B or lower in an exam, he will let you answer the questions again for extra credit and in order to obtain an A. He's awesome!

Beware, his lecture are very long and boring. I had to sit up front most of the time so that I wouldn't get tempted to doze off. He will write important terms on the board. Write them all down and take good notes. If you did not do well on the first exam he will give you extra credit. I did not use the textbook and I got an A.

The lectures were quite chill and pretty interesting. As for exams just memorize names, terms, ideas, and dates and you'll be fine. He was pretty lenient on the 3 papers and he's pretty chill fi you miss a deadline. Great gpa booster and pretty cool class.

If you need a gpa booster take him! If you show up to class and take notes you'll pass his class. There were 3 readings and you had to do a paper for each one. If you can't get the paper done in time he gives an extra couple days to submit. EXAMS ARE EASY! He tells you exactly what topics are on the quizzes and tests.

Took him for a summer course just take notes, it was a writing intensive course so he wanted a paper of 3 pages per week and some quizzes were given, he randomly does attendance. He was very funny, I will take him again in the fall. Oh and I got an A in his class.

Doctor Siebert is an amazing access to Rutgers Newark Unviersty. He cares about students and their ability of learning about sociology. Hes understanding when it comes to others situations. Also, wants students to think critically. His assignment are easy to understand and hes also a great grader when it comes to papers and assignments. Take him!

He is very chill & laid back. He likes conversation/participation. His class is an easy A, but an easy A that of course, you have to do the work for. While a book is used for his class, his lectures cover EVERYTHING that you need to know for the tests! The book helps with participation in class & the 2 papers that he assigned. SUPER CHILL DUDE. THE CLASS WAS FULLY ONLINE AND SUPER EASY. WEEKLY DISCUSSION BOARDS AND OCCASIONAL QUIZZES OR ESSAYS THAT WERE VERY EASY. HE POSTED ALL THE READINGS FOR US SO NO BOOK NEEDED. I would 100% recommend this class only taught in the winter I believe. Only 6 six assignments and 8 discussion boards. As long as you read the textbook its an easy A.

You would have to read in order to understand the material but it is an easy A. Not a lot of work. He loves discussions posts. He respond to everyone. He's a really nice professor his class isn't difficult but he does get side tracked easily. I would sit in the front because he talks quietly sometimes, but he doesn't give that much work and if you attend the lectures and take notes you can pass easily

Professor Siebert has very interesting lectures where he actually sits there and explains topics from his own knowledge rather than reading off of slides. He can talk for the entire lecture without having to refer to outside info, which makes his lectures interesting. Fair grader and assignments are easy to understand. Would take again.

Best professor I've ever had.

Attendance is tracked with a sign-in sheet. He doesn't mind if you leave but occasionally checks twice to catch ditchers. His study guides are excellent, and as long as you avoid using AI, scoring over 80% is likely. He's a great lecturer, and note-taking is crucial. With little homework, the midterm and final are more significant.

He's not a bad professor, but getting lost during his lectures is easy, so pay attention. Don't use AI for open responses or papers because he will know.

As long as u go to class u will be ok. He knows when u use AI for tests but honestly he says everything that will be on exams in class.
