Easy tests, no homework to hand in, BUT insane group project
Excellent and smart professor, I wish more profs are like him
amazing class and awsome prof. I never learned so much in any other class.
Lots of real life material about networks. Great class. Highly recommended
everything you want to know about computer security, hacking, cryptography, NSA.
good teacher, keeps it fun and interesting
any professor that teaches you how to beat police laser in court is ok in mybook

cool prof, tests are not too hard either
Excellent professor. Knows material well. Likes to talk to student. Easy going. Wish all professors were like him.
he's very easy
Eventhough he is very arrogant, he keeps class intresting and the exams are straight foward.
If only all professors could be like him. Straight forward teaching with real-world examples - NOT boring at all. No homework, exams are easy and straightforward, one time consuming project to do.
This guy thinks he knows it all when it comes to tachnology. He went to MIT so he's preety smart. I got to give him some credit because he does know a lot when it comes to high tech stuff, but he should stop being so arrogant. Learned a lot!
I wish all professors were like him. Last semester I did a wireless project (bluetooth vs 820.11) *great stuff*. I learned more from that single project then I do in many other classes. He is a great guy, with great teaching ability. Take him if you can!
It's ALL OVER ;) - He's a great teacher, take him if you ever get a chance to
A very experienced professor. Expect to do work to keep up. Tends to be entertaining.
Great teacher, funny, clear, open notes on tests
Take him if you want an easy A. Don't take him if you want to learn about operating systems.
Excellent prof., has lots of industry hands on experience. I learned so much in this class, and it is "real world" material that you can apply in the industry. Expect to do some work but at least it's great stuff you can really use. Great profes
Great professor - actually interested in what he is teaching so he knows what he is talking about.
His AI midterm was very hard, the project and final were pretty easy. Wish I could have gotten an A because I really needed it. :(
If you fail his class, then you should just quit school and start flipping burgers. Take him if you want an easy A. Don't take him if you want to learn about Artificial Intelligence.
Great Artificial Intelligence class. Learned a lot about neural networks, expert systems, fuzzy logic systems. Expect some hard work but at least its great stuff. If you want to learn in this class do not miss any classes.
Very easy class, nothing was hard about it. Prof has a good personality, good communication, but dont expect to be an AI genious when its over. Likes to say 'absolutely' frequently.
Makes the subject fun. much better than Senesy in teaching 101. know's what he's talking about. doesn't mind answering CS questions or straying off topic. has a sense of humor. Test is easy if u paid attention in class. Used to work for the NSA.
Very fun, very interesting, very easy. Class was easy as hell but I learned a ton. What more can you ask for? Not boring at all either, great teacher, definitely take him.
Fun teacher. Class is a joke. I don't think the midterm and final count for much unless you happen to fail them (which is hard considering they are open note exams). The final project is alot of work, but if you do a decent job, you get an A.
he doesnt really teach the material for the exam like senesy does. he makes class fun with his jokes but that didnt do me any good. overall he's aight but ur better off takin senesy if u want to have a better exam grade. also gotta write a 30 page single space technical paper
I really like him as it really teaches handson networking and their design. At least now I know what's going on. Dont miss any classes as he goes over many exam problems, also emailed us all the hw solutions. Highly recommended and not boring at all. Have to write a technical paper as project.
It seems that most people like this guy since he's really easy, which is true. But he doesn't teach, just reads the stuff on the slides and tell stories or jokes or whatever pops into his head. I've never learned anything from his classes, and I did get all A's.
The rules have changed for his class. You now have to come to class (he takes attendance at times) and no more 8x11 help sheet for exams. 30 page research paper or programming project, in groups. Do well on the final presentation (just be able to talk intelligently) and you'll get an easy A.
His exams have gotten harder than before. DO yourself a favor and chose to do a programming project so you could actually learn stuff. Class material is sometimes too detailed and gets boring through PowerPoint sldies. Always break into offtopic conversations, actually interesting some times. Easy B
Interesting lectures, fair grading, no surprises. One of my favorite professors at NJIT

Very good professor.
Good professor. Tests are reasonable, assignments are too. Definitely HOT! Nice accent.
The man
Great guy.
took him DL but I've had other classes with him, he's easy and makes the material interesting. Rather than just throwing information out there and testing you on it, he makes you think about the subject, which to me is the more important aspect of learning. Definitely take him if you need to take this class.
Great Professor. He actually knows how to teach unlike many other professors here at NJIT. Good notes that are always available (password protected) on his website.
As usal an awesome guy.... Listen to him in class and take notes!!
Excellent prof, must take. Got easy A even when I thought I would get a B.
Statica is one of the best professors at the school. I can honestly say the man knows how to teach and keep the students interested!
I've taken Statica for at least 4 different IT classes and I have to say he is my favorite IT teacher. He's really boring for the low level classes so I wouldn't suggest a 101 class with him and pretty much every class he teaches off the ppt but you get him in a 300+ class and its easy and he knows what he's talking about. REALLY REALLY EASY EXAMS
Best Professor at NJIT, hands down. He'll tell you the day you walk in the door that he is more concerned about you learning than he is about your grade. With that said, he puts his students in a position to succeed. If you fail at Professor Statica's classes, you have no one to blame but yourself! Excellent quality teacher. Highly recommended.
Hands down once again, Statica proved himself to be the best IT professor at NJIT.
"When you go for a job interview, remember: they hire you not a piece of paper." - talking about resumés. Any adjective that relates to great. You learn and gain life wisdom. He's also a really a authentic and understanding human being. One of the best at NJIT, by far! And he KNOWS what he covers - he doesn't need to use a textbook.
Cyber crime is one of the newer IT classes. It is an awesome class concept plus Statica is teaching it. And he is really knowledgeable about information securities, to say it in a very understated way.
Awesome professor, knows what he is talking about and is very up to date. Cares about you learning the material not just memorizing text.
For this class, make sure to set up your group early for the final project. His online exams are timed so be careful and be sure to read the chapters and group up since the difficulty of his exams are not too easy and not that hard but be careful if ur going solo without knowledge of the upcoming exams. Teaches cryptography. Good prof n good class.
If you want to improve your GPA, join him. Very Co-operative and helpful professor.
fair make you want to come to class and he knows his stuff must take if you have a chance to be in his class
This professor knows his stuff, try to get close to him if you really want to know about security
Great professor, very helpful, relates the technology we are learning about to real life uses rather than just talking about it. gives students a chance to do hands on projects. he is also always very up to date on his technology and what is going on in the world.
Everyone just thinks he's a great professor because he is easy--reads straights from slides and gives open book midterms and finals--but in reality, you don't really learn JACK in his classes. At least, I didn't. He isn't helpful at all--when asking him for help with homework, he tells you to figure it out. What is he there for then?
Excellent class and prof. Learned a lot from design of wireless LANS to satellite and cellular nets. Great hands on labs too. The guy complaining about STATICA below never probably attended his entire class or did the work.I was there when STATICA told him to use Google to find a wireless LAN cost estimator. What he wants the prof to do that 4 him?
Great professor but if you're taking him for IT310 don't buy the book, you won't need it.
Reads directly from the class slides 80% of the time, & yeah both exams open book. but in real life, on the job, u have the same opportunity to research your answers. He does make u work hard for the research for your projects. that's how it should be.
hes a good guy
Dr. Statica is the best professor I've had on campus. He focuses on the real world without teaching from books that will change tomorrow. He understands the field and knows how to keep you interested but at the same time will make you work hard without actually setting a strict schedule of assignments and papers etc. I highly recommend!!!
Professor Statica is one of the most liked professors because he is really easy. Homework is due once a week and doesn't take much time. Exams are online and open book. Issue with him is he gives no motivation to learn anything. He gives real world examples but doesn't enforce ideas that should be enforced. Believes everything can be looked up.
Dr. Statica cares about teaching and education, he is up to date on all matters and is heavily involved in the private and government sectors bringing it all back to the classroom. Dr. Statica can server as an example to amny other professors in the university!!!
Great class with an online component that just requires you to make two posts in the discussion forum once a week. He speaks more or less clear English and is very easy to understand, plus he is very passionate and makes you very motivated in the subject.
Good teacher. He knows about wireless technology. Everything is in moodle so you can work from home.
I took ecommerce with him online. You need the textbook only because the exams are open book so you are going to need to reference the book. Overall the course is only challenging because of the online exams. I struggled to get 85's because searching through a textbook you never read is annoying. Id recommend him though if you need an easy elective
One of best at NJIT. Has a clear idea of what skill set is needed in IT world. Takes the time to give you advise and tell you what certifications you need. Lectures well structured and most exams are based on his lectures. If you absorb the material& do hw you'll be fine.
Professor Statica is the best cybersecurity, digital crime and forensics professor Ive ever seen. Because of his classes I changed by career to work in cybersecurity. He is among top 5% professors at NJIT. I heard from former students that he also helped them get high pay info sec jobs and also recommended them to various org. Highly recommended.
Took 2 online classes with him during the summer. Super easy. Structure is same for online and in class but online you do a research paper or PPT for presentation whereas in class you do hands on project. Took IT 310 with him too, but you had to build a website & I didnt know how to. Recommend taking 310 online if you dont code its ten times easier
Best class I took at NJIT. Very knowledgeable of course material.
Statica is awesome. He has war stories of working in all things tech and is hilarious. his lectures are clear, his exams(online) are reasonable. I highly recommend him if you're in cyber security.
He's a great Teacher and really knows what he is talking about. The class is easy and if you are willing you will learn a lot. The midterms and final are online open note open book open internet.
Only real issue i had with this class personally is if you aren't a fan of group projects prepare for one worth a large amount of your grade. This is only a minor issue though as the rest is fairly clear and easy if you pay attention
Smartest of the smartest! makes class easy, online exams, must take! AND you learn!
good professor
This class was really easy and i would want to take it any day again. Also
The prof has a lot of personal experience in the field and tells a lot of stories but sometimes he is boring but overall an easy and a nice prof.
He is the best teacher you MUST take at NJIT. Courses i have taken with him very precise clear and easy to understand. Take all his courses by heart and have your gpa go high.
He is an easy professor. Take him
Easy class.
He is THE MAN, take him.
good professor. will tell you real life situation connected with IT. i would say that he a professor with common sense and brilliant prof. this is my second semester with him.
easy prof. he knows lot about real world but he doesnt teach anything. if you want to get good grades take with him but if you want to learn df he not a good choice.
Very easy grader but you won't learn too much from his lectures. His classes are mostly lectures and weekly moodle posts. Easy A
DO NOT RECOMMEND HIS CLASS. Did not learn anything and no feedback through the semester. BEWARE of the tests, PPT he gave only cover small percentage of the tests. He doesnt know what he want, contradict his own words a lot. For the Moodle postings, he asked you to post something you find interesting then give you a low grade for your interest.
Easy A. 1 Midterm, 1 Final, 1 Group Presentation and weekly Moodle postings. No attendance. No papers. If you fail his class, there's no hope for you.
No need to go to class. There is a group project and a moodle response to be done every week but you have until the end of the semester to complete and midterm and final exam (25 questions each) done online. This will probably be the easiest class of your life!
Easy A. I took this class online and almost put zero effort into it. The midterm and final are based on quizlet questions so they are easily googable. He states weekly posting are mandatory but they aren't, I haven't done any and he never checked them. There's a group project that requires you to create an e-commerce website or a mobile app.
EASY A!!!! If you take any other professor for the course Statics teaches... what are you doing with your life?! TAKE HIM!
Don't take him online. It is so easy that you will learn nothing.
You will literally not learn a single thing if you take his course. He goes over maybe one topic then goes to a tangent for the rest of his class. Exams are online but are poorly worded and full of trick questions so even if you go to the classes you will likely get a C or a B. Highly would recommend avoiding unless your okay with an average grade.
You can take his class if you want an easy A. He is a good person and has some great stories to share. But when it comes to teaching, he does not care about how much the student's learn. He has been using the same exams for the past 15 years. Does not teach anything useful in class, and makes it super easy for people to cheat in his class.
When I took his undergrad classes I did not learn much from him. After working in the industry and coming back to NJIT, he has a lot of knowledge of the industry that is USEFUL. He doesn't teach off PPT slides and discusses topics that relate to the industry. I recommend him for CS696. FYI, his exams challenge you on the concepts + is open book.
this course is online, you need to teach your self by own. If you are getting B and you have done all module discussion post then he will curve to your grade to B+, technically there is no % for discussion post in course, two exams each worth 35% and 30% website project. just do best in exams and you will pass without doing discussion post.
This class was an easy A which was very welcome in an otherwise difficult semester. Just study Quizlet for the exams. The Professor's past is quite impressive and I hope to take him for other classes at some point. Don't go into this class expecting to learn much, but it is nice and easygoing.
Not sure why everyone glazes him so much. Min. 300 word discussion posts on the chapter weekly, along with a lockdown browser + cam quiz and a lengthy homework assignment. Midterms and finals in lockdown browser with cam. Also a group project that you'll have to present.
Idk he does too much, class is super easy but it's just a lot of unnecessary busy work. We are talking at least a 300 word discussion post once a week, along with a quiz off of something random on the chapters, and a homework assignment every other week thats 400 words. Don't get me started with the exams..
MY GOAT, I can pass this class in my sleep
This is an easy online class. Just study Quizlet for the exams and you're good to go. The professor is nice but doesn't really teach much. unstuck ai was a big help for me to prepare for the tests.
yall glazing him. nobody shows up to class after like the first week. group projects r hell, nobody will do work til last min. will take off pts from quizzes/homeworks if he feels like it. but he'll give you full credit for open ended if you do bad on midterm lol. doesn't teach like he'll js show random stuff. not open note for exams
His MCQs are easily available online for midterm and final. Select a good group for the term project as it takes longer than expected to complete. Class format is straightforward -- just have to read one chapter a week, do the discussion post, the hw, and take the quiz. He heavily relies on the textbook so if you are not a reader, don't take him.
I didn't like him. He took a very hands-off approach to this course and graded things with hardly any basis. Take a different professor if you can, he really was a waste of my time.
