Professor straw is a super nice guy, lectures are kinda boring but are quick < 50 minutes! I wouldn't say he really teaches. He just tells you to watch the videos from another professor and I think that same professor actually makes the exams. He gives you a pretty clear outline of what to expect on the test (usually videos & readings)

I would take him over Barto any day. Also, you have a clear insight into your grade from the start. Very understandable about mental health. Answers emails very quickly.

I was at first worried about this class because the other professors had mild/bad reviews. I assumed that the class was going to be hard. I took Straw hoping for a lowkey professor. I was right. You can tell that he is so caring. He doesn't take the entire class time to teach and he recognizes that his students are busy with other coursework. 10/10

Important to note is that the class is structured so that you take notes before class on assigned video lectures. Professor Straw is a chill, caring guy who definitely cares about his students and is always willing to answer questions. As long as you take notes, finish the assignments, and study for exams, you'll be fine.

Robert Straw was one of the best Professors I have ever had. He usually doesn't lecture the whole class, and he tells stories about experiences he's had. The three exams make up 60% of your grade and aren't super difficult but you have to study some. Otherwise the class is very easy if you show up and put some effort in. Also doesn't give a final.

I'm taking him again in the fall. Classroom is flipped and only met once a week. Lectures provide all the information you need for the test. The class before the test opens he goes over the entire test in class to prepare. Definitely recommend

He is a very nice teacher and cares deeply for his students and hopes they succeed. He does everything he can to make his lectures funny and easy. If you go to class there are 2 bonus points a week. There are 3 tests and they are pretty straightforward if you received the bonus points it should be an easy A. His lectures may last 45 minutes max.

Professor Straw is FANTASTIC, He is so caring and really funny in class and we always got out in less than an hour which was great, he also gave a lot of bonus points and actually had an enjoyable class. Be sure to talk when he ask questions because he loves interacting with students.

Professor Straw is one the of best professors I've had at Auburn. He is super understanding and if you go to class you get bonuses points. Tests are pretty straight forward. Would take him again if I could!

Mr.Straw was such a nice man. We only had class once a week and gave extra credit at every class. I though his exams were a little changeling but he gives detailed study guides which helped so much.

Robert was a really fun professor and I enjoyed his lectures. 20% of your grade is from quizzes where all of the answers are found in the notes and readings. The rest is from 3 exams. He posts study guides for the exams and they help A LOT. Plus, he offered 13.3% percentage points of your final grade in extra credit.

He is very easy to reach outside of class, and will go over your test with you! Takes out questions/gives partial credit if a lot of students missed.

Straw is an extremely laid back professor. Read the syllabus and go to class and do the study guides provided and you're set for the class. He's very available for questions, and is a great person to go to if you have any interest at all in the SCMN major.

I was shocked at how much I loved Mr. Straw's class. The way it's formatted means you only have one class a week and it's super short too. There are so many opportunities for bonus points and I highly recommend using them. For me, the tests were pretty easy but the bonus points act as a really nice grade buffer to ensure you make an A. 10/10

Professor Straw was so sweet! I didn't study for 1st exam, so I bombed it. He truly cares about all of his students, and if you go to office hours & ask for help he might give you points back on your previous exam. I had class once a week, so 1 quiz due every week, participation activity for extra credit each class, & 3 exams! Definitely take him!!

I LOVE Mr. Straw! I would definitely recommend taking him. He cares a lot about his students, and I know a lot of people are shy of the fact of talking to teachers about what they could do better/ a grade on a test, but GO TO HIM! Easiest A of my life. Lots of extra credit, easy quizzes and homework. He will tell you exactly what is on the tests, so just study what his study guide like the night before the test and you'll be fine. Robert Straw is the goat

Straw is the goat. Very laid back and chill. One class a week, 3 exams per semester which you schedule at the biggio center. A ton of extra credit. All you have to do is study a little before each exam and put in some effort in extra credit and its an easy A.

Lots of extra credit, weekly quizzes were a little tough but pretty easy if you do the modules and readings.

Ended with an 89.98 and didn't get rounded up, but it is stated in the syllabus so make sure to do good on the exams. There is a lot of extra credit so class doesn't have to be mandatory, but the lectures are interesting. I'd take him again.

I really enjoyed Prof. Straw's class. Every class there is a bonus in-class activity, but I ended up doing every single one from home since the answers are on the class slides. He was accessible and understanding if you missed an assignment, just let him know. 3 exams, no final, and every exam followed exactly what was on the study guides.

The class is a flipped class, so a lot of your knowledge will come from you reading outside of class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you do 5 point quizzes in class, the require a code- most of the time will give the answers in class. The exams are more difficult- they're taken online at the Biggio Testing Center and worded tricky.

Prof. Straw is a really nice man. I never watched a single video that he assigned, and I went to most of the classes. Literally just spend the day before the test outlining the study guide and you will be fine. His Canvas is set up weird, and I thought I had a 91% and it turned out I had a 98%. Take him if you can!

Professor Straw is great. Straight forward, once a week class. Quizzes taken in each class that he gives the answers to during the class, so attendance is important. I made a quizlet for each test and was fine doing that. Sometimes see him at the rec also, super nice and funny guy.

Class is lecture-heavy, so making sure to attend is crucial. He does post all the information on Canvas, but it is easier to understand if you are in class. If you are not a good test taker they make up the majority of the grade so you might want to consider that. Overall he is sweet and the class is enjoyable if you show up and make an effort!

Professor Straw makes things concise and gives you the answers for in-class quizzes. This is super nice because it balances out the tests. If you review the study guide and study the slides you will make As or high Bs on the exams. The only thing I found annoying was having to take the exams at the testing center rather than in class.

In class quizzes are 20% of your grade but he reviews it in class before you turn it in. Attendance is somewhat mandatory unless you can get the quiz codes somehow.

TAKE HIM! He is very funny and nice and cares about his students. This class meets one day a week. You will have an in-class quiz after each lecture. Most of the time he gives the quiz answers. Tests are straight from the study guides and are multiple choice and true/false. Great class.

Straw has one of the best personalities of the professors I've had! Because this class is only one hour a week (usually only 30mins) you're going to have to learn a lot of the material on your own. Attendance technically isn't mandatory but he gives the quiz code AND answers in class, which is worth 20% of your grade.

He uses a point system and you needed 270 points to get an A and I had 269, and he gave me an A even when I didn't ask him to round it up. I have no idea of it was a mistake or not, but I would die for this man nonetheless.

Straw is an incredible professor who truly cares about what and who he teaches. Lectures are usually 30 minutes and pretty simple to grasp if you pay attention. He grades on total points and looks over each tests to give back points where he thinks fit, so he doesn't round but there's still good chances of getting higher grades.

Great man and amazing lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, so I don't really go since he posts everything online. But he is a really great lecturer and is very entertaining. The material can be hard, but if you study, it's quite simple. There is also a bunch of extra credit at the end of the semester.

His lectures were good, and there was one quiz each week that covered the material for that module. The tests you were required to take at the testing center - a bit extreme, considering the class was only 2 credit hours. He laid everything out well and posts study guides with concepts you need to know. Overall a straightforward class.

Super nice guy, good teacher, and truly cares so much about his students. There is a quiz every week due at 6pm on Mondays which is slightly annoying that it is not 11:59 but as long as you remember to do it they are not bad. The tests have to be completed in the testing center. They are not terrible, but you need to study a good amount for them.

Supply chain in general is a difficult course, but Robert Straw is by far the best teacher for this course. He gives plenty of extra credit and two opportunities to get 100% on the quizzes. The class is test-heavy but they are not bad if you go over the study guide.

Dr Straw is a very forgiving guy. He's also very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. His tests are not that hard. Just go over the study guide or a quizlet. He gave a good amount of extra credit.

3 exams, first 2 exams are similar to the study guides. Final exam was hard but gives a few extra credit opportunities, please do the extra credit they will help you @the end of the semester. His grade system is point based which is why your grade isn't accurate in Canvas. Gives one assignment every week w/ 2 attempts. Doesn't round your grade.

This professor was great, his test were a little hard, but if you go over the material needed for the test you should do fine. This professor is very kind and definitely cares about the subject he's teaching.

Rob Straw is Great. His words of wisdom during lecture are truly inspiring. If you go to lecture and listen you will do well. He give short articles with each module that support and expand on the material. Overall not bad if you give a bit of effort and spend time studying.

The lectures go by quick and you get out early most of the times. You get multiple opportunities for bonus points. As well as if everyone missed the same question on the test he re-evaluates the questions and changes the grades.
