Dr. Tinajero is a very nice professor. Works with you and as long as you show up and do the assignments you will pass. Enjoys class participation. Has a lot of blog essays, but don't be discouraged by that. If I can do it and I hate writing, you can do it too. Would definitely take this teacher again. Very easy going guy!

I'm not the best writer and at first I was a little nervous about the class but he is a great teacher and I feel good about this course! Loved his class. Gives you a good amount of time to work on assignments, which is wonderful. Just show up on time and participate in class discussions.

Good teacher very understandable. He is a tough grader and is often into his lectures. Not many test but every lecture does contain key points to pass the semester.

Professor Robert Tinajero is a very interesting and helpful professor. He is very laid back and very cool professor. If you are going to take Eng 1301 you should go for It and take his class. As long as you show up to his class and follow instructions you should be good in his class.

Prof T is a really new age type teacher he sends you helpful things that go with your current assignments through twitter and is pretty understanding that you have a life and things happen. He's an entertaining teacher and the more engaged you are in class the more excited he is to teach. He also gives AWESOME notes!!

Dr. T was a very great professor. I respect the fact that he actually listens if you let him know your having a problem outside of class that's would reflect on your not being able to be there. He grades hard, but it isn't like he doesn't let you know what he will be looking for before he grades. Dollow his notes and you will definitely pass!

Took English 1301 for summer 1 and it was the easiest English class ever, easy A as long as you put in the effort and make sure to use transition words.

This is one of the best professor and if you want a professor that cares and is willing to work with you this is the professor you need to take. He's lectures are fun and interesting!!

Participation matters in this class. You have to show up and be interactive with other students. If you do the work you'll get a A. The only downside is that if you miss class for any reason even if you tell him in advance you get counted off on your professional grade.

Mr. Tinajero is a nice professor. He allows his students to write about current events that are interesting and popular. He brings a causal atmosphere to the classroom. Homework consists mostly of short writings and only a few papers which he gives great resources for. The only questionable thing was that he did openly cuss sometimes .

For those struggling with writing essays, this professor really breaks it down for you. Writing a 5-10 page paper seems more attainable. Definitely recommend. He is very knowledgeable and laid back.

Loved his class! This was my second attempt of Eng. 1301 but my first time with Dr. T and I have to say I'm glad I dropped my first attempt because I learned soo much in his class. Great notes! Easy papers! Overall one of the best professors I've taken so far.

Dr. T was an enjoyable professor and very smart. Your journals are based out of a website called wordpress in the form of blogs which is neat. Class participation is key. 5 essays. He also helps in anyway he can. If I take another writing class through DCCCD he will be my go-to!

This teacher is the best I've had. He has the best advice and he is a definitely an easy class to take. You won't regret to take him, especially since he's pretty cool and has humour. Most of the times class ends early and everything he goes over is never confusing, he'll go over it to make sure you know it by heart.
