It's spelled Trinkaus. He tells pointless stories. 25 T/F questions 25 M/C. Low grader.
His tests are easy - just study the notes. He's a silly professor but his tests are easy and I would recommend him.
great teacher, just listen, take notes, easy t/f m/c exams
This professor is the worst...At first i thought he was an easy A... But don't be fool by this guy...Don't take this professor waste of your money, and he doesn't curve...
He's a silly old guy..Tells pointless stories, rambles on....Hardly ever writes on the board, but when he does, its all sloppy handwriting. 3 exams 25 T/F 25 MC..The only way to get a good grade is if u memorize book word for word
stay away from this one he is an old professor with yellow teeth and long finger nails he doesn't know how to teach and he is a bad person
this professor is helpful and clear in his teaching. take very good notes and you can get an easy A in this course. and oh yeah, take very good notes and you can get an A in this course. and finally, take very good notes and you can get an A in this...
Great Professor. Easy A if you read the book and are not absent. He doesn't tolerate excuses. Be on time and also note that the seat you pick the first day will be your seat for the rest of the course.
easy A. Just read the book and study his lecture. easy to remember stuff from lectures.
The exam questions are mostly from his notes. read the book as backup. Don't miss any of his classes. Really nice guy, but his exams questions can be very unclear. So ask questions if you do not understand.
THIS WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE AT BARUCH. ALTHOUGH, HE CAN BE FUNNY BUT AT THE END YOU WILL LOSE. THIS EXAMS ARE MC AND T/F BUT HE IS VERY AMBIGIOUS AND HE DOES NOT CURVE GRADES. EVEN WHEN HE IS CHALLENGED ABOUT EXAMS. HE DOES NOT GIVE A S...
He explains the material very well. Class is funny but the test is not easier than I expected.
Great professor. Tests are based on his notes, exams are very straight-forward and classes are really fun.
He is an excellent professor and a great person. Very easy. There are no homeworks. Tests are based on your notes and a little bit from the text book. He's also funny and treats students with respect. There are 3 tests all together, but you only can take 2 if you want to.
If you want your GPA to drop, feel free to take his class. He is the worst professor at Baruch. He doesn't even use the book but expects you to buy it.
he's doc ock from spiderman 2. I mean it's a villian with man ****. how hard is he to defeat?
Just put a white shirt and blue pants on him and you have H Simpson. He's goofy, but he teaches well. Just show up and write down everything in his lectures. Study that and get an A. Book isnt necessary. You only have to take 2/3 exams 25TF/25MC.
Pretty good
The worst instructor at Baruch. Is hostile to students, assigns arbitrary grades, and puts his hands in the face of students who dare question his grading. His "course" is an absolute waste of time: don't expect to learn anything. Can't defend the grades he assigns, seems to really hate teaching
Barely covers text. Plays devil's advocate to the point that participation's painful. If you give more than yes or no answers to his questions, he talks over you. Very unhelpful with administrative duties. Horrible class. At least the work load was minimal.
DOn't take him, unless you feel like memorizing each sentence in the book to pass his tests. NOt a fair grader, he should retire
Obviously, he is not that easy. His T/F is hard. Also, he does not cover the text in deatils, so you have to read on your own. So if you do not like to read, DO NOT TAKE HIM!
the problem with him is that the questions are easy but the way he words them are very tricky. studying doesn't help because the answers are all mixed up. He's a crafty old man and I am warning you. DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN! you very easily can get a 32 on the first test, when u studied like crazy.
I think that this professor got a bad rap- unfair. I enjoyed his class-lectures may be unrealistic but were interesting. The best part is the group presentation- great preparation for any MBA, Not an easy grader, so don't let the class tone fool you. Read the text, exams are based on the book.
his test are not as EASY as wut others have said below me. Also, he has a crazy policy on attendance.... n get very frustrated when students are late!
well... he is easy if you actually study the book and listen to his lectures.. that's where the test questions come from... if u did study, then it's a easy A for ya!
OMG.. his attendance policy is crazy.. he barely covers text in class. He wants all his students to participate and your answers can't be yes or no answers.
He teaches in a way that is very interesting that on one would ever fall asleep in his class. For test, just study from the book and it's easy A!
He is very crazy with his attendance policy. Basically, you can't be late nor absent!! I HATE HIM
This guy is very funny and entertaining. It's a very easy class, all you have to do is copy down all his notes and memorize them. Three exams, 25 true/false and 25 multiple choice. Just try to participate since it's 5% of your grade.
His tests are very tricky and not easy, especially T/F questions. Also, I hate his attendance policy. If u wanna take him, think twice.
He's okay. Lectures are boring, there are 3 tests and he gives you the option of taking 2 and then your lower grade counts twice... i did that and i screwed myself so take all 3 tests. tests are pretty tricky but not too hard just memorize ALL your notes
The workload is very easy, but his tests are very hard. He makes everything seems so simple, but it's actually not.
Really nice guy but dumbs down the material way too much for a 3000 level course. The tests were deceptively hard too, make sure to take good class notes and study those well.
He is a nice and funny guy. He does cover a lot of material but his tests are not as difficult as some other students said. This was pretty easy summer class.
Hes so hot! You won't be able to take your eyes off him!!!
The guy is a moron. He explains the material like it's so simple when it really isn't.While doing lectures, he uses slides that he prepared in marker. You have to copy them down, since you can't print them out from powerpoint. It's very hard to pay attention and copy at the same time. Plus, he has a sense of humor of a 2year old. Take someone else.
I have no words for him. He talks so much in class, much of which is nonsense. He thinks he's funny and we are all laughing with him lol. He needs to get a life. He explains everything in detail, so no need to buy the book, just take notes and write his every word because it's all on the tests. Not such an easy grader
DO NOT BUY THE TEXT BOOK. Copy every single word the man says. at the time, it might seem as though it isn't important but everything he says is on his exams. people dont do well because he seems very easy and they dont study. I studied relatively hard for all 3 exams and got an A.
dont need text...exams come from his notes...he's pretty good...
He makes stupid jokes all the time. He is very easy. You just have to copy his notes and you don't need a textbook
He is easy, but you have to study for the tests. His lectures are interesting and funny, and he jokes a lot. 3 exams, 25 multiple choice and 25 true/false. The exams are not really difficult and come from his leactures. Pay attention, take good notes, study, and you will get A.
best prof. at Baruch, very FUNNY!, definately take him.
Very good professor, 3 tests 31.5% and prtct 5.5%. All tests are based on the notes you ->copy from slides<- and discussions based on the topics. The tests (25 mc and 25 t/f ) are not hard, mostly straightforward,if you study of course. Take him, really good, very knowledgeable about psychology. Great learning experience.
Excellent Professor, uses real word examples, Pretty easy going professor. Don't need the book...just take detailed notes. 3 Exams based on notes...I found it to be pretty easy but it could be tricky if you don't know the material. If you study your notes you can get an easy A.
he is the best, I hate the subject, have no interest in it and find it boring, but he made it fun and interesting, it was a pleasure to go to his lectures - very entertaining. Don't buy the book but don't miss the classes bc the tests are based on notes and lectures. I highly recommend him to anyone. It is an easy A.
Great Prof. I enjoyed coming to his lectures. Notes are not enough to study for test b/c some topics come from book. Pretty easy class: no hw no projects just lectures and tests. Takes attendance daily. Just read lecture notes and book and you'll get an A!
Great class! Just pay attention and take great notes. Skim and I mean skim through the book and its almost a given that you will get no lower than a B+. Good class.
The card tricks the last day of class were a blast. Tried hard to ignite the class with controversial topics. I am now afraid of some of my gun-toting, water polluting, baby-seal killing classmates. Do the practice tests from yextbook's website.
No work. Only 3 non-cum exams. But exams are quite hard, you have to attend EVERY single class and know every word that comes out of his mouth. HARD PROF! stay away. He takes attendance himself so you HAVE to come. WHAT A disgrace. TAKE BOCK! he's the best
mandatory attendence.3 Non-cum exams.Take GOOD note.EVERYTHING he said in the class will be on the exams!Bettering off getting the book for reference cuz it's hard to write down everything he said.lots of laughs in class, but poeple laugh at his stupidity instead of his jokes.I miss no class take OK note, skim the text, memorize the notes and got A-
Write down everything he says and read the chapter. Study notes and I guarantee you will get an A. That is the formula to an A. This guy is funny as hell and makes management interesting. I have two electives and I will take mgt. courses with him not to mention Im a marketing major!! If you dont get an A you didn't do anything!! TAKE HIM.....
makes class interesting....
one of the best at baruch. extremely funny. makes class really interesting
Hard grader, but you will learn a lot from him. Be sure to take notes and listen to what he says. The cases are fun and you need to read them, don't even buy the textbook. Midterm, Final, Group Project and Presentation. Loves participation.
HE SHOULD RETIRE, VERY AMUSING BUT DOES NOT GIVE TESTS ON ANYTHING HE SAYS. I HATED HIS CLASS AND HE PLAYS FAVORITES.
He is your typical double personality professor. Though he is very funny and nice teaching the subject, he is very very rigid with his grading. His tests have very tricky questions and even if he is wrong he won't budge so don't bother. Other than that if you write everything he says you wont need the book...just don't miss any words!!!
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR. THE WORST IN BARUCH. YOU BETTER STUDY THE BOOK WORD FOR WORD. VERY BAD. HE ASINGS SITS FOR EVERYONE
Bright Professor, but seems to underestimate student's intelligence by teaching as though we were in Kinder. He makes really bland remarks, which some find funny...? Material is simple. He is available if you need help, you just have to be proactive and approach him. Does not like technology as he still uses a projector with cardboards!!
He is a easy grader. His exams are strictly notes from class but you have to and i repeat have to make sure you take notes on your own when he speaks. If you take down his notes plus your notes you should have no problem with the exam which is easy. The guy is funny and he will keep you up.
There is no need for attendence, homework or projects. Three MC and T/F exams, each count about thirty percent. Whatever he teaches in class is straight from the textbook. No need for notes. READ the textbook CAREFULLY and it is an EASY A.
OVerall, pretty easy... just need to write every single thing he says. Don't bother reading the book, JUST TAKE NOTES
It takes a while to get used to him. I don't like professors who base their tests on their notes because I like to teach myself from the textbook but it's not too bad. I had a lot of absences, studied someone else's notes, and read the book (which does help) and ended up with an A. Management is an easy subject in general so anyone could get an A.
It's an ok class for a Summer session. 1 group presentation, 1 term paper and the final. Overall ok.
Very sharp guy, stimulates critical thinking. Some people said inappropriate things in class, but he handled it well. Not an easy grade: you have to do a good analysis on the case discussion (at least for summer class) and presentation. Study the book for the multiple choice exam. Cases are kind of outdated, but still good. I recommend his class.
Really funny teacher and very knowledgeable on the subject. He brings in outside material to go along with his teaching. Write down everything he puts up on the projector and take some notes from the things he says and you will do fine. Tests are 25 T/F and 25 MC. You can skip one of the first 2 tests, but not final.
3 exams (25 T/F, 25 MC each). No projects or essays. All material comes from class notes, the textbook is not needed except for reference. Just write what is on projector and take notes on small details he lectures on. Attendance is taken, but not sure if it counts in grade. Tries to be funny, but comes out as corny. If you attend class it is easy.
Unless you know someone who takes really good notes, try not to miss any classes. The exams are all based on notes and the prof. always speaks about specific examples you need to write down cause they will re-appear as test questions. Every class is him lecturing and you taking notes. Nothing exciting, but the exams are predictable.
no textbook. all about the lectures and exams. pretty clear, quite witty actually. it just gets boring and seems to drag on after a few classes. seems easy-going, but his tests are a bit harder than you'd expect. uses old school projector, no ppt, manual note taking required
This is an easy class. Allowed to skip one exam, he averages the lower grade twice, skipped the middle exam and still got an A. Just study only the notes he puts on the projector, absolutely no need to buy the textbook. Its a funny class too, but in general management is bs so might as well take one with an easy professor.
Avoid this Pr. He does not speak clearly and his notes are 30 years old. Exam questions come from neither the book nor his notes. If you want to learn MGT please stay away from him.
Three exams total. You can sit out one of the first two but must take the final. He will double the score of the lowest test grade (of first 2)to calculate the grade. No paper, no hw. Book only needed as a reference but you will have to write down what is up on the projector and take side notes. You must THOROUGHLY study your notes for the exams.
GREAT CLASS! GREAT PROFESSOR! DONT NEED TEXTBOOK AT ALL! STUDY YOUR NOTES AND YOU'LL BE FINE!
Three exams. You can skip the 1st or 2nd but must take the final. Pretty easy if you just take or get the notes and study from them. Do not buy the book...he goes off of his notes! Good luck!
The good: I enjoyed the professor's humor. Don't be fooled into thinking he doesn't know what's going on. Participate in class to score a few more points. THE BAD: You MUST MUST MUST study the textbook. He doesn't discuss it at all in class, but the final (worth 30%) is based on the text. I created study sheets and passed the class with an A-. Will take again.
One of the few good professors at Baruch. Very insightful, makes jokes and keeps the class interesting. Do not miss class as he lectures a lot and his exams are mainly based on class notes. Don't let his humorous personality fool you, he's a strict grader.
he stalls time, thus, making you want to leave. corny jokes. h/e exams r easy- all multi choice. based on his massive amt of notes.
He's Extremely witty and like minds attracts alike. He's old school and 100% ****-free. Try em' out cause you can always drop his class before facing any academic penalties. Just read the book because life is not a game of short-cuts...until you read the book! You got to stop thinking that you already know it all.
He's a fun person to learn from. You will never get bored in his class. His exams are easy if u take good notes in class and review them. Don't have to buy the book because you will not use it. Trust me if you want an easy A, he's the guy.
One of the most entertaining professors I've had. He is funny and always jokes but will be serious when it comes to work. DO NOT buy the book, 90% useless. exam = is his "own" notes from different sources. no curve either. MUST take good notes and then you will do good. Not hard write everything and examples to help you understand
Very Entertaining class!! Professor has a good sense of humor. Two exams and a final...straight from his notes. No need to buy the book. 25 T/F and 25 M/C. Easy A. Highly Recommended.
You have to be a good note taker and take extremely good notes of the material he says in class because 90% of the material comes from the notes on the exams. You have the options of taking 2 exams out of the 3, but his exams are tricky and hard people!!! The exams are not that easy......
Very entertaining!!! No need to buy the book!! Write down everything from the projector....guaranteed A...with minimal effort!!! Highly Recommended!!!
Excellent professor. He has ability to teach in a proper way and he makes the class very interesting and fun. THIS IS A MUST TAKE PROFESSOR. I STRONGLY RECOMMENDED IT!!
One of the best prof. at Baruch!!! Has a specialized Trinkaus vision that helps with studies. You will laugh non-stop in your class and he will point out people that sleep and and claim that they have a nice new way of Learning MGt and wait till the person comes in the next day and gets a A on the exam!!!
THIS PROFESSOR WILL MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE! TAKE HIM AND YOU WILL EARN AN EASY A. PROFESSOR, NOW I SEE WHY YOUR TRINKIS VISION WAS THE BEST.
THE BEST! His class is very funny - he constantly cracks jokes. No need to buy the textbook, just copy his notes and you will have 100% A. 3 exams (25 T/F and 25 MC). You can take only 2 and he counts the lower grade twice. Very laid back and entertaining class. Take him, won't be sorry.
Very good professor. Gives lots of notes, so be sure to copy down as much as you can. The examples he talks about, write it down because chances are there will be similar examples on the test. I find him to be funny and very helpful. Show up, take good notes, review all of your notes every few days and you will do fine.
Best professor in MGT department i guess. He's a bit old but energetic, that's why he teaches mainly night classes. You wont fall asleep because he keeps cracking you up with his funny jokes. No text book needed. Easy exams, jus make sure you take notes and review them word by word before exam. TAKE HIM!
Very good professor! Jokes to help you get thru the material. Make sure you attend because you might not notice, but he takes attendance and even marks you if you're late. Class was pretty enjoyable, take notes and DON'T bother buying the book. Highly recommended!
Not recomanded. He means well but the exams are hard. The t/f are very confusing. Avoid!
Such an easy class as long as you write down all of the notes he puts up. Exams are easy and he lets you skip one of the first two, where your lower grade will count twice. As long as you take notes, easy A!
Everything you see on below me is right. Test are easy if you write down his note and study them. In addition, you don't need the textbook, which is great. Class can be boring, but the prof trys to make the class fun and interesting. Professor Trinkaus is a great professor and I enjoy taking his class. Also, he's a jets and mets fan.
Professor Trinkaus is a great professor. He's also a jets and mets fan. Anyway the class itself is easy and the test are easy if you write/study his notes. In addition, you don't need the textbook. You can skip an exam if you want. With a little work and his Trinkaus Vision, you can get a good grade. Do Work Son !!!
his class is easy if you catch every word from his lecture..kind of fast..hard to take notes..its hard if eng is not your native language..like me..did not provide review sheet...and exams are kind of tricky.
He made me laugh so much during the semester. I loved his sense of humor! No need for a textbook, just copy down everything he teaches in class (his examples often appear on the exam so make note of that too) and seriously, you're good to go. 25 T/F & multiple, they're fairly obvious: not tricky at all as some had said. TAKE HIM :)
Nice prof.very very funny, keeps class engaged with discussion.doesnt use book at all just study his notes and you good, that is what he puts on the test.notes are not short tho.not bad if you really read you def can get an A or at least a B
Take lots of notes in class. no need for the textbook, all exams are based on his lectures. He's funny and makes material fun and interesting. Take him and be prepared to take notes!
Do not buy the book. This class is only from his notes. Easy class. Easy A. 30% for each test. 3 test per a semester. 10% for the 2 hour studies and attendance/participation. Sometimes can be boring but he is also very funny. His test are 25 true/false and 25 multiple choice.
He's a really old guy but he does have a lot of great stories and jokes. I liked how this is the only business class at Baruch that didn't powerpoint or blackboard b/c he's not good with tech. I liked how he always brought something interesting thing to share with the class and somehow related it to MGT.
I really enjoyed this class. He's a funny guy and has a humorous way of teaching. 3 tests (25mult/25 true false). The only way to do good on his tests is to copy down everything he says not just the material from trinkuas vision! If you're good at memorizing its an easy class..
Professor is funny but not very effective in teaching management to students. His tests are confusing with true and false questions. Tests are composed of different material from the book
Took this in the summer. Three tests. Just take really good notes and you will do fine. Fun for a summer class!
Best Professor I have had at CUNY. Is realistic and entertaining. Put the subject matter in it's simplest form. Light-hearted and kind professor who acknowledges your efforts and remembers who you are.
LOL, fun class. You'll enjoy. NO CURVES,No Homeworks at all. 3 MCQ exams with 50Q's each. You can skip either exam 1 or 2. Tricky exam. Definitely Not and easy A.
Learned a lot. Two essay type tests and a semester long group project. Make sure you get a good team!
Great Teacher. No HW. 2 Midterms and one final, can choose to skip either 1st of 2nd midterm and the lowest of the midterm taken and final will count as 60%. Exams aren't tricky, just take good notes and you'll be fine. Enjoyed this class very much! Really entertaining.
Very nice and funny professor. If you write down everything he says and has on the slides then it is and easy A. "Trinkaus vision" write down everything and you'll do just fine!
Very knowledgeable and nice Professor. Take good notes, and try to write extra stuff he says. If you do so, there is no need to buy a book, and you will get good grades. All three exams are based on notes. No homework, exams are 50 questions each, multiple choice + true/false.
The guide on how to crack Trinkaus vision. Write down every word the prof says, do not skip classes, participate in class (even saying something counts), skip the first test, study very hard for the second and the third tests, and you ll get an A. The prof teaches in a very fun/cool manner. I wish Baruch hires more profs like Robert Trinkaus.
Best professor ever. I would study very hard for the first exam, because it's easy. If you get a good grade, skip the second one. You must take the final so it is not an option. Pay attention in his lectures and take notes! He does not use powerpoint instead he uses his "Trinkaus Version" Best ever! I wish more professors are like him.
This may be the best professor at Baruch. He really cares and makes the effort to know everyone's name/face. I took him for MGMT 3120 about 4-5 semesters ago, took him again for MGMT 3300 and he still remembered me! And he teaches in such a fun/entertaining way that it doesn't even seem like that much work - honestly take him, you won't regret it
BEST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER TAKEN. Trick: Write down every word he says, he will only test you on what he covers in class. I created a study sheet which consisted of every word he said and never got below an A on his tests. P.S. Should be a stand up comedian. He's amazing.
Hands down the funniest professor I've had. Keeps students engaged. Tests are a little hard because they are very specific definition questions but definitely fair game. WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN ANY DAY. Too bad he doesn't teach MGT 3121.
One of the best lecturers I've ever came across. Very through but not boring. He really makes the material easy to understand but beware, there's a lot of material to cover. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING HE SAYS! Take good notes and write down all his commentaryexplanations about the topics. He's test aren't easy but not impossible. Also he's HILARIOUS!!
Honestly a very great professor who cares about his students. Makes learning very fun, makes you want to show up to class and exams and material is very clear. You learn a lot and it's not boring! Exams are straight forward based on his notes, he is hilarious and a kind person.
Professor Trinkaus is probably one of the best Baruch has to offer. He makes understanding the topics and the millions of management theories that you'll be introduced to very simple and easy. You get three exams but you can you choose to not take either the first or second exam. No homework and no need for a textbook. Just follow his notes! Easy A
Easily the best professor I've taken at Baruch. Uses a system he calls "Trinkaus Vision," which is basically where he runs the class off of his notes. If you want to do well, write down everything he says and you will never need to read a page of the textbook. Tests are clearly based on the notes. Overall, an amazing professor. HILARIOUS!
Fun professor. His teaching technique is unique. Won't be bored at his lectures. Gives 3 tests based on material covered in lectures, questions are tricky. Said that would curve at the end but did not at all. Also, you won't find out your final grade on BB, only if you send him a postcard (I'm not kidding).
his class was very entertaining. he is constantly cracking what i like to call "dad" jokes, so youll be laughing throughout the lecture. theres no homework and only 3 exams, based purely on his notes. you may opt out of one of the first two and your final counts as double. absences didnt effect my grade as long as i got the notes i missed.
Trinkaus is one of the nicest and funniest professors I've ever had. His lectures are easy and clear. His tests are straight from class notes so make sure you get all of the notes from every class. His test are pure multiple choice and there is no homework. Class participation and 3 exams are what determine your grade in this class.
I took him during the Fall 2015 for MGT 4330. I would say that he is from a very few MGT professors at Baruch College that his lectures are reliable for the tests that you will take. Attending his class is not time wasted. He respects your time and your money, so you have to do the same for him.
Prof. Trinkaus is one of the amazing professors who really do care about their students. He will talk to each of us and and try to get to know us. His lectures are really clear and hilarious, if you keep on going to his classes and take all his notes, you should pass easily, you won't even need the textbook one bit.
No homework, funny, get ready to take notes every class, online quizzes super easy 10 questions each chapter covered in class, 1 easy paper, 3 tests you only have to take 2, FINAL MANDATORY. I would take him again.
He is the funniest professor that i have taken in my 3 years in Baruch. You have to write down every single word that comes out of his mouth, OKAY!! Even then you might not get an A, thats how difficult his test are but hes a nice person who cares for his students and tries to get to know them.
The funniest person I have ever met in New York . Im a non native speaker, but still this class was crystal clear. He know his material very well. The secret is to take to listen carefully and take good notes. Exam are little tricky. still waiting to see If I can get A in this class, but Im confident.
The funniest person I have ever met in New York . Im a non native speaker, but still this class was crystal clear. He know his material very well. The secret is to take to listen carefully and take good notes. Exam are little tricky. update, I got A
He is so funny! He connects the class material with real scenarios. Although he is old fashion, I enjoyed taking note from "Trinkaus Vision" (the projector). You're going to take 3 tests, around 10 online quizzes, and a self-reflection paper. He really wants to get to know you by giving him a picture ID of you lol that's how he takes attendance
Prof. Trinkaus is hilarious, he has very dry humor. You must show up to class, no reading at all, and the class is easy overall. You'll enjoy your time in class AND learn. He's easily one of the best professors I've ever had.
I won't deny he is funny in class and makes it less boring but midterms are so tricky. The average grade in the class was 81 and very very few only got an A. Quizzes online has nothing to do with what he's teaching because he "disagrees" with some statements of the textbook. My advice to you is to take an easier professors for an easy A.
Worst PROFESSOR ever. He makes the midterms so tricky. He doesn't use textbook material because he disagrees with it. Quizzes doesn't even help. Please avoid taking this guy. Doesn't help you anything. Regretted everyday I went to class.
He's probably one of the funniest professors that I've had in Baruch. He's such a nice guy. The class is really interesting. Study hard for the midterm and final. For the group project, gather a great group and choose a good topic to do your best on. He makes the class comfortable for everyone to participate. I enjoyed this class.
Write down everything he says and puts up on the projector. Then, review those notes right before each exam and you'll be fine.
You'll get used to his style of teaching "Trinkaus vision" fairly quickly. I personally found him hilarious and engaging. No need to read the book much just show up 'cause he takes attendance. Write down everything he puts up on the board and some of the examples he blurts out. Look over your notes about an hour before each test and you'll be fine.
He has dry humor and makes you enjoy his lectures. No readings needed. Take down all the notes he put up on board and go over them right before exams and you'll get 90+. You have to show up coz your seat is fixed and he will take attendance by himself. Easiest course I've ever taken. Recommended for an easy A.
Incredibly boring class, and Trinkaus is very disorganized. It's not that difficult, but definitely would not take again.
Funny prof. No textbook needed in his class because he disagrees with it. This is because he is knowledgeable and has his own opinion on everything. Write down everything he puts on the projector because THATS what is going to be on the tests. Still do the LearnSmart and HWs because of the Dept requirements. But they wont be in his exams.
Class exams are based on JUST his notes. Copy everything from projector and write down some things that he says during class and study that and you'll do fine. His exams really aren't tricky as long as you study your notes. it kinda feels like a high school class with the projector and outlined notes
Boring lectures because MGT is boring, but he has a really funny personality, dry humor type helped at times. Connect HW, 3 tests, self reflection paper, and participate in studies credit. Easy A if you study from book outside of class. He's old fashioned with the projector so note taking is listen and write.
Can be very funny at times, and is very nice and generally a positive and humorous guy. Tests are all based on his notes, so make sure to pay attention, take notes, and study the notes. Overall a great professor.
Good professor. Funny and reasonable. Fairly easy class
Overall, the class is easy if you get the notes from every class. He literally shows notes to copy from on the projector that the tests are based on. There is also online HW and online quizzes that are not bad at all. I personally didn't find him as funny as everyone here said he was, but his jokes landed sometimes. Adds some flavor in your day
2Mdterms, 1 Final, 1 paper and lots of OL HW and Quizzes w/c are mandated by dept. DO THE HW AND QUIZZES ON TIME- theyre grade booster! His exams can be tricky but as long as u attend every class (he give his own lecture notes) , youll do fine. Class can be boring sometimes but he throws in some humor
his lectures are entertaining. he's funny at times. laugh at his jokes he uses that for participation points. if you go to all his classes and take notes you'll be good for exams. not a lot of work 2 exams, 1 paper and the final. he tells you what will be on the exams when giving the lectures.
He tends to stray away from the lecture and make stupid jokes that don't pertain to the class, making you feel like you're wasting your time sitting there. His tests are also really tricky, which is frustrating since the concepts in the course are so simple. I would advise anyone to take another professor
He's a great professor and it's clear from the first day of class what you need to do in order to pass. Tests are based on his lecture notes, so write down everything he puts on the board and study them before the exam. Attendance is mandatory, but you'd only pass by going to class anyway.
Take notes and listen in class to pass with A. People who don't like him are people that don't come to class.
Easy A if you are willing come to class, do the homework and quizzes, listen and take a note on his class. He is funny.
Do not take him if you want an A. The materials are super easy and boring but he is a tough grader for no apparent reason. All you have to do is show in class and participate. AVOID if you want an A. He ruined my 4.0. SMH
He is funny and cool Professor. He does take care of his students. All you have to do is just to the homeworks and tests. His tests are not hard all you have to do is participate in class and take notes.
Class is worth taking. He makes it funny and interesting even if the jokes are corny. I took him as a night class and It was the highlight of my day. The hw's are easy and the exams are straightforward and simple. Great choice for this class and I still talk about this prof to this day. Take him.
This professor is the most unprepared and lazy proffer I've ever had. He comes to class completely unprepared and reads off PowerPoints the textbook creates as if its his first time ever seeing them. If you ask him about a topic he'll give a vague answer or read off the PowerPoint again. Honestly wondering why this professor gets paid to "teach"
You will come to class, and be read a PowerPoint presentation created by a publishing company. You will do all your homework by publishing company software. You will not have any lively discussion. You will write one self-reflection paper. There is no reason to fail. This class could be automated and taught by an algorithm.
Easy weekly homework on Connect, exams are a bit tricky but just reread questions and you'll get it.
He's a really chill professor with really loose classroom rooms and likes lively discussions. His three exams are not worth a lot; the Connect work, participation, and his reflection essay together makes up more than half your grade. He does not do reviews but he does tell you what specific sections of each chapter he will make the exam about.
He is funny. His lectures are really chill. He makes his own 3 exams for the course, so if you go to his lectures, you should be fine. His 3 exams are not worth a lot; the Connect work, participation, and his reflection essay together make up more than half your grade. I am sure if you do work you will have a good grade.
This professor is very kind. Attendance matters because the lectures are most important in this class. He wants his students to pass so his material is very comprehensive.
Dr. Trinkaus is hilarious, and I look forward to attending his classes every Monday and Wednesday. He gives us many opportunities to do well in this class, such as connect activities, self-reflection papers, and sona-systems. The downside of his class is that he doesn't give reviews regarding his midterms and exams, which stinks. Just try your best
I dont know what these folks are talking about. Horrible professor. His laidback style comes at a cost because you learn nothing in this class. Avoid him without any second thoughts!
Hated this class! He thinks he is funny but he is not.
Hardly teaches and makes exams extremely difficult
Overall good professor who teaches material thoroughly. His class is enjoyable as he makes it seem fun through jokes and relatable examples of material. He does make the exams very difficult though.
Readings take min 2 hrs to do and more if you take notes. He does no review lectures or review sheets for exams. I studied several days for his midterm and still did not score as good as I expected due to his exams being so random. He makes his own exam so it is not similar to connect hws. The class is boring and he brings up political topics too.
Most your grade is connect and Sona, and the midterm and final, he doesn't like using the books slides, and changes things, adding definitions from other books we don't have access to and if you miss the lecture in which he said that, too bad he doesn't upload the lecture slides to blackboard. His lectures aren't very fun to be in unfortunately
Homework-heavy class and tests are hard especially since most of them are true false questions.
Prof Trinkaus is unique. Attendance matters as well as test scores. Each test is unique to the student so don't plan on cheating. The homework is easy and if you put a bit of effort in you can do well
Professor Trinkaus keeps the class entertaining, but his teaching style is hit or miss. Hw and exams are manageable if you stay on top of the material. Unstuckstudy was a big help for study prep.
he's a great prof who cares about his students. he's funny and tries to keep the class engaged. attendance & participation matters. exams are kind of tough but manageable. connect hw is 50% of the grade so do well on those
I dont know how but I got an A. His exams are based on his lectures so make sure at least to take a pic of the slides he uses. He is kinda funny, he takes attendance every day. I think he curves otherwise I would have not been able to get the A lol, Just make sure you do your hw and attend to class! Two exams and hw thats it oh and Sona
The tests are pretty straight forward, but he doesn't do reviews. He makes like 5 chapters of homework due a month in advance, so if you miss one day it takes a toll on your grade. He also doesn't reopen assignments
I really enjoyed his teaching style relax and hilarious, any question you got he will answer them
The lectures were not very engaging for me, and I found it hard to stay focused. Attendance is mandatory, with 1 midterm & final. The homework assignments are manageable. He's okay, but if you have the option to take another professor I'd recommend choosing someone else over him
