Makes class interesting. Knows what he is talking about. Take good note during his lecutres and the quizes will be easy to pass. Sometimes you don't even have to read the stories. He'll explain all you need to know. Best professor!

Mr. Unger is the funest teacher ive ever had. I truly loved going to class. He made my Mondays start off great with his bright and uplifting words. I highly recomend taking Him. there was homework but mostly just reading our books and then questions from the books would be on the test. He gives clear notes so take them and study them for the tests.

He is a very good professor. The class is not difficult. The only thing I recommend is take notes because the test are going to be based in the notes, but anyways you can pass the test if you always go to class.

inspirational, big time extra credit, tests? not many (only 4 including the final), hilarious, there for you, amazing lectures, would take again I got the highest score on The Alchemist analysis paper thanks to going to his office hours. If you need help you can go to his office hours he is super helpful especially with writing assignments.

Prof. Unger is a highly intelligent man. His class is fairly easy but he does give a good number of assignments to complete by each Sunday. There are a total of 3 essays and the final timed essay. He gives reasonable due dates and amount of work. He is always ready to help and gives useful feedback on essays. A bit of a slow grader (online class)

gives small 1 pt assignments for each wk/module that are easy. we have to read Anthony Bourdain's book Kitchen Confidential & our essays are based on it. 5 essays total: explanatory, compare & contrast, satirical, extended metaphor, final exam essay. a manageable & interesting class. he can be kinda slow to grade assignments & essays tho

Professor Unger was fine, all we did was little papers and essays, the essays were based on Anthony Bourdain's book, to be honest I never read it and got a good grade. He only does office hours when you have questions and we never meet for class, everything we needed was on Canvas. If you are looking for an A essay, this is the teacher.

He pretty much grades more on completion more than the actual content, so as long as you turn the assignments in, you should get an A. You read one book and write a total of two essays. Assignments are super easy and don't take that long to finish. He's very nice and you can even ask him stuff about Southwestern because he used to be the VP.

Sadly, the class was on Zoom/Canvas. (Spring 2021). Professor Unger is amazing. Canvas was easy to maneuver and the content very clear. He teaches in a way you can grasp and learn from. Very educated yet humble and very interested that his students gain knowledge. Wish he taught more subjects; I would take every class.

This was an asynchronous class due to covid. SUPER EASY you were giving simple readings and by the end of the week there was 10 questions about what the module discusses that we would have to submit.

Only wrote 2 essays on books we read. For someone who didn't even bother reading the book and still got a good grade on it... id say its pretty easy! Assignments are graded based on completion i took this during covid might be different in person. Overall a good professor!

Good teacher, caring and gives good feedback and helps you with the assignments.

Few quizzes, some extra credit. He takes late work for half credit. The final was to write about everything we learned or took away from the course. You have to watch his lecture videos, and YouTube videos and read articles. Two books, both short reads.

Two short books to read and manageable work. He gives very good lectures that are in depth, and taking notes on them would be helpful.

Prof. Unger was very knowledgable in his area. He was well accredited and legit in what he does. Be prepared to read a lot and memorize things ranging from prefixes to their definitions. This was a comprehension class and he will help you break down words so you can define the hundreds of other words in the english dictionary. Loved the lectures!

This class focuses a lot on writing essays, watching videos and answering a few questions, and discussion boards. He uses a novel and asks you to write 3-4 page essays about a certain topic. It can be really overwhelming but he gives it out early so you can work on it earlier and the deadline is usually about 2 weeks.

Great professor, I took this as a fast-paced class, I had to buy one book (not textbook, so it wasn't expensive or hard to get). - Approximately 3-4 assignments per week (short assignments like a set of 5 questions). - We read 2 books, and had a final question set on each. - One final 'exam'. Lots of extra credit.

Professor Unger's RDG158 class is a solid choice. Manageable workload with short weekly assignments. The textbook is helpful, but the class is doable even without it. unstuck AI is a great supplementary resource for study prep.

This professor was great. I took his course over the summer and while it was fast paced it wasn't too bad. We had a total of two papers and read two books. From what I remember he didn't even grade one of the papers
