Terribly boring lectures. He creates Powerpoints with 100+ slides and reads directly from them as a lecture. You could easily view the info. at home, however, he attendance does account for part of your grade. Exams are easy, all multiple choice and homeworks are easy as well. Overall boring but an easy A.

If you like long and boring lectures then he's your guy. He's super smart and really knows his stuff, but his teaching style is just talking at you the whole time. His exams are extremely difficult even when I studied for days for the exams. No hands on or interactive learning, but he gave very little homework which was great. He gives extra credit

Professor Wall is super knowledgable but lectures are kinda boring. This class felt more like a history class than a science, so if you're into that sort of thing this is the class for you. Very few assignments, the hw is so easy and is worth lots of points. If you don't do great on tests it'll be fine because the hw will balance it out.

Super monotoned. Never answers emails. He does curve all tests, and homework is graded on completion. Do not recommend taking it at 8 AM, he will put you to sleep. I had a situation where he inputted my final grade wrong and had to email the department head because he never responded to emails. If you plan to take this for a core, just don't.

Don't take this class at 8am. His lectures are very long and boring. The class isn't terribly hard, just try to pay attention and take notes. He doesn't give a lot of homework. There are 2 exams and a final. All homework is due the day of the exams.

Dr. Wall is a solid professor. He is very lecture heavy and can get a little boring, but he knows his stuff. There are only 4 grades in the class, 3 exams, and 1 total hw category, but there are ample opportunities for extra credit, up to 10% this semester. Textbook isn't mandatory, attendance isn't mandatory but you should still go to class.

I loved this class, the lectures were very interesting! The class has 3 multiple-choice tests, as long as you pay attention in class and do some studying you will do fine. He took attendance in every class but basically just said as long as you don't miss too much you will earn full points for attendance.

The professor speaks in a monotone, so it is hard to stay awake. Powerpoints are not uploaded by unit or by week like other professors in the CRMJ department. Don't bother buying the textbook because his PowerPoints are 100+ slides long. The textbook required is written by him btw. Take that as you will. Each exam has 50 multiple-choice questions.

Although attendance is not mandatory, you should go to class to save yourself the hardship of having to study 150+ PowerPoint slides for his exams. The exams are all multiple choice, but the amount of studying for them makes it not worth it. He gives up to 10 points extra credit, and grades very leniently. Only 3 exams, 5 homeworks. Nice but dull.

This dude was superrr chill. I turned in my homeworks really late and he still gave me 100%. The problem is he gives the most boring lectures on the planet. I had to swipe on my phone or go on my laptop just to stop from falling asleep. There's like 3 tests but tons of extra credit. I never studied really, just crammed, and gotta C.

Prof Wall is obviously very knowledgeable in his field, but he is not the best at communicating that information. I found his lectures confusing and unorganized, and the lecture slides he puts on his Bb are even worse. 5 homeworks, 2 exams, and a final. Simple enough, but get ready to teach yourself.

Content is interesting but his lectures are SO boring. Even for someone who loves archaeology I constantly zoned out in this class because he is incredibly monotone and has no energy when lecturing. Also changed the grading criteria multiple times but never updated the syllabus, very hard to access outside of class.

He was a good professor and he knows his stuff. This class is very lecture heavy. GO TO REVIEW DAYS. I don't really pay attention for regular lecture days but tune in during review days before tests and the final and write down everything he says bc it will be on the test. I did this and scored around 75% and 90%.

This professor obviously cares about what he is teaching but the way he presents information is not easy at all. He doesn't do anything by unit, rather teaches through 100+ slide powerpoints. He goes somewhat fast and for review days more so talks instead of having anything visually. If you are a visual learner do not take this class.

Dr. Wall is an amazing professor! Would absolutely recommend his class if you're taking a core or major requirement. His lectures are long, be ready to take lots of notes, but his classes are very informative and enjoyable, especially if you're interested in a deep dive on these topics. The tests are fair and he ensures you are prepared beforehand.

Dr. Wall is great professor, super chill. Every class is a lecture minus review days before tests, but the information is interesting especially if you like these topics. He always posts review for exams so you know what to study for and the course isn't cumulative. Tests are average, as long as you take 2-4 days to study you should be alright.
