I took him for summer and missed a full week because I had covid, but he was understanding and allowed me to make up the assignments. Grades down to the last detail, but doesn't deduct a ridiculous amounts of points. He's also very helpful when it comes to answering questions and responding to emails. Overall, he's a funny and cool guy. Take him!

I took bike over the summer and he was an exceptional lab professor. He does not deduct a lot of points on assignments and tries to help with anything he can. The final is fairly easy as long as you study for it and understand the assignments throughout the past class times. I would highly recommend!!!!

Professor Walters is a great professor who truly wants his students to understand the content and do well. He'll spend time with everyone in lab individually to make sure we all understand what's going on and what we need to change if anything. He's very detail oriented so make sure you include all the little details when turning in lab reports.

Dr. Walters is such a nice man who is ready to jump in and help you if asked. He is a very picky grader so be careful with what words you use on post labs. Overall he is a tough and stern man but very sweet if you engage in lab and want to work. Make sure that you always follow his directions and labs very closely and you'll do just fine.

Nice professor, but doesn't seem very interested in teaching this course. The canvas page is an absolute mess containing all the material of the course's prerequisite (including assignments from up to four years ago that flag as overdue) mixed in with this course's new material. Weekly quizzes hardly pertain to the material currently being covered.

Walters is such a good professor. He made personal connections with everyone in class and really cared about us. He made coming to lab fun. Weekly quizzes on general micro material as well as three papers on case studies. Fairly easy class and you learn so much. Highly recommend

I very much enjoyed Walters' microbio lab. Very managable work load (go to lab, one canvas quiz, and one lab note due per week) and was very helpful and kind.

Professor Walters is the BEST professor I have had so far. His lab is easy and he goes in great detail to explain everything. His instructions are very clear. He is such a nice person and will talk to you outside of the classroom as well. He grades everything thoroughly but doesn't take off a lot of points making an A very easy to obtain.

He's very nice! I took him for a half-semester micro lab, and I had a good time in that class. Mr. Walters is a fun professor, and overall pretty fair with grading based on results (as in you won't fail if nothing grows). However, he had a tendency to grade based on parts of a question that weren't there/part of the rubric.
