This guy is the best--More than anything, he wants to help his students find some kind of passion about what they do and write.

Professor Wilhite cares about his students, and although there is a paper due just about every time you go to class, they are not hard at all. I have learned alot from him. He really cares about his students! I would definantely recommend him!

he doesnt mind a whole lot if something is late, which for me, was quite a blessing.he lectures not on the material, but its interesting stuff, so i never minded.he has a dry sense of humor and has worked in the military.lots of little papers that dont count for much and a few biggies.

Hey was very awesome! I loved Wilhite! He was very understanding. He loves when you are very opinionated (especially on political issues). He doesn't really go by the books. He loves for you to be open-minded also. He also doesn't care at all if you come in late or if you turn your paper in late either. He really helped me improve my papers too.

Hes a guy that is always willing to help out. He has interesting ideas and encorages critical and individual thought. If you call him at home he normally gets into a conversation with you and is really interested in helping his students ! Good Class. I am requesting him next semester too.

Awesome professor! I was pretty good at writing before I took his class; he made me an even better writer. Always willing to sit down and help/encourage his students, no matter how long it takes. He does go off topic, but its a lot more interesting then talking about english and compostition. Will be in his class for WRC 1023.

If you're a lazy person and isnt' very good at turning homework in on time, don't take him. He's a great prof that likes to help his students. He's all about grammer grammer grammer though. Make sure you get that MLA format down or he'll kill you in the end. He likes simple and to the point sentences. If you get used to him, take him for wrc 2.

Makes you think. Good teacher and asks lots of questions which you'll be asking yourself later.

Best teacher ever. Very easy to talk to. Always up for helping you out. Sweet, sweet guy. Really goes indepth for you to better understand assignments. Always been a horrible writer, but did great in his class. As long as you go to class & do your part, he is there for you. As I said before, best teacher ever.

I hate writing. Taking this class really improved my writing though according to the professor. Hes a good guy, leans quite a bit to the left but hey, its college right? Always helped me out on trying to figure out the syntax of the essays. GRAMMAR IS IMPORTANT. He even lets you call him at home if you are having trouble (do this, it's helpful)

Seriously the best writing teacher I have ever had. Extremely helpful (gives you his home number to call), very funny and easy to talk to. If he were teaching any other class that I need for my major I would definitely choose him. Also, he remembers you (he still knows who I am).

Awesome professor that's always available for help if you need. Just turn in assignments on time and getting an should be no problem.

Speaks softly, not a good morning class. He talks about current events, but not much to do with the books.

My favorite professor so far. He actually gives you the opportunity to think for yourself and learn about different issues. It is a lot of writing but the papers are very short and easy.

There are a good amount of assignments but if you get them done, you get an A. Not much reading either. Very easygoing guy. Good professor to take.

I absolutely love him, assignments are easy and he gives you plenty of time to complete them. Only thing that could be a problem is if you don't have access to a video camera/webcam. Pretty much an awesome professor. I reccommend him highly. Easy A.

Very nice guy. You could catch cancer just from the stench of his cigarette smoke. very monotone so interesting material seems boring. He gives great feed back and always presents the opportunity to improve your grade. Good with e mails. He uses the word "presto" a lot! Take him you won't regret it. Super easy class with fun assignments!

Wilhite is a good teacher. He gives really good feedback on essays/papers. His downfalls are, he talks really soft and kinda slow, you could probably get get cancer from the cigarette smoke wafting behind him, and i can almost swear that his elbows are surgically attached to his sides. Which really isn't a downfall i guess but pretty funny to watch

Mr. Wilhite is an amazing professor. His classes are interesting, and he's a very knowledgeable person. He is very kind and helpful, going above and beyond to help his students. He gives you every opportunity to make an A. He also teaches great life lessons and gives advice about life in general. I learned a lot. He's a MUST TAKE professor! A+

If you want a teacher that cares, and has some quality insight to the world then Mr. Wilhite is for you. There are many simple (one page) writing assignments that really do help you build fundamental skills. if you try then you will succeed in this class. There can not be a better freshman comp II teacher at UTSA.

Mr. Wilhite is a wonderful Technical Writing teacher. He is very smart, helpful, realistic... the list goes on. It's NOT one of those classes that makes you wonder what the point is. There are A LOT of assignments but they are never too difficult and he is always willing to help. I wish I could take Mr. Wilhite for every English class!!

Great teacher! very professional. He knows his stuff. Doesn't sugar coat anything. He tells it how it is but not in a mean way. Did a paper every weekend, but nothing hard. I found the class very interesting and it quickly became one of my favorites. If your taking his class get ready to write and do some "in front of class" speaking.

This is a great proffessor and I truly recommend him for anybody that wants a preffossor that will challenge you and help you to learn. He is very helpful and very smart, and makes the subject very interesting and fun....His a GREAT teacher!!!!!

DO YOU WORK! The assignments are not hard, he has all the guidelines and required information posted online. He is always available to help, he will not leave you hanging. In regards to the class, pretty fun, he gets ranting sometimes but you learn the necessary skills for tech writing. Their is at least one assignment per week. This is an easy B.

Mr. Wilhite is an awesome teacher and an outstanding person. He is super interesting and engaging. The class is super easy if you follow his instructions step by step. There are lots of assignments but I got a 100 on all of them except one. Easy A if you do every assignment. Not only that, you will definetely learn!

His lectures are monotonous, but he is a great professor. Very easy to work with. You have an assignment to do or two each week, but if you keep up with the work, turn everything on time, go to class, you can make an A EASILY.

He is clear on what he wants, and he is not a hard professor if you know how to write. He is hard on grammatical errors, so make sure you proofread your work before you turn it in. If you turn in all of your assignments on time and do a good job on them, you will be fine.

Professor Wilhite is a great teacher! He assigns many on- page papers and has about 5 essays, including some in-class essays. The course isn't easy but you can make an A if you put in the work. He is always on time for his office hours and will help look over your work. Overall, a great professor and look forward to taking him again!

I am very fond of this professor. He was kind and very willing to help his students on their papers. He asks you to call him, that's how much he wants to help you. Very easy and his papers are short(2-3 pgs)and to the point. Talks a lot about political issues but brings a new insight to it. Recommend for all freshman, especially the first semester.

I took Technical Writing with him and you have to really pay close attention to detail detail detail. He is really tough on grading and he will take off huge points for small details. His grading is tough and he grades you like if he is a your boss. Cool guy in my opinion. I only needed the book like three times i think so it is your call.

This professor is tough, but definitely helpful. His grading is almost entirely based on grammar and works citied, making it extremely easy to pass as long as you actually check your work.

Grades directly from grammar and work cited. Class is extremely easy if you have a strong understand in these skills, but can be extremely difficult if you are lacking. Actually expects you to try, un-heard of I know. Would not be suggested if you aren't the best editor.

I made A's on the assignments. Pretty easy just tedious. The 3 presentations weren't difficult but they were nerve wrecking. Probably the one thing I hated about the class. However, he is a good professor & you will learn.

TAKE HIS CLASS. He is such a great professor!! He grades hard on grammar but lets you write about anything that you want. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. Get to know him. I love this guy! He is pretty much the coolest professor by far! He does give A L O T of writing assignment buuuuuut, you can write about whatever, which makes it easy! He grades the paper based on grammar. Attendance isn't mandatory. Taking him is a excellent choice.

Professor Wilhite..... Ahhhh he is so so so so sweet! Loved taking his class this semester! Loved the fact that he did not assign long essays, lets you pick your own topic most of the time and he edits and gives back your papers on time. However, you need to get your gramar and mla format (citations) on check or else you will fail.

Professor Wilhite was a wonderful teacher! He was always helpful, informative, and willing to help students no matter the question or circumstance! All of his assignments were explained through Blackboard and he had plenty of examples to share. Material covered was very simple and his expectations were clear. Nice, funny guy. Would take him again!

Awesome class, doesn't grade past the first page but watch your citations and grammar

His class is quite easy, but he gets into rants as well as he loves to base all of his class about politics. He even told us he is an extreme liberal. so be prepared to have your ears torn to shreds everyday from political references.

Grades heavily on grammar, but is a great writing teacher one on one. In class he mostly talks about politics (which is good as he opens out minds to different things. In addition, he lets you write about whatever you want which gives so much freedom. He believes writing is only good when someone has something to say. I enjoyed his class.

Wilhite's class is only hard if you don't follow the syllabus and don't study for quizzes. As long as you do the work and follow EXACTLY as the style sheet says you should be fine. He's really a great guy and is very understanding. All quizzes are make-up, but just make sure you do the major assignments. Easy grader. No textbook required.

Wilhite is a tough tough grader but if you go to him for help, he helps a lot. In class he goes over powerpoint (he puts them online) about grammar, which he is super tough on so watch out. Basically, class doesn't help much so if you want to succeed in the five essays, go see him in his office. If you're looking for an easy grade, avoid him.

He has tough criteria, but if you follow them it's very easy. Especially with the excel stuff, if you just go to class he'll walk you through the formatting (which is honestly the whole grade in all of these assignments). Don't get too hung up on content accuracy, just worry about making sure you do everything required and it's formatted correctly.

professor willhite is a nice caring and understanding guy. His slides are mostly based on business and conspiracies which compared to other classes are pretty interesting. However hes a super hard grader if your perfect on grammar than take him. Another thing that is different is that he takes quiz's on material he assigns. So good class hard A

Prof Wilhite is one of the few professors that I felt actually cared about each student. I never would have thought that Technical Writing would be a class that I would look forward to going to. Everything in the class is clear cut and if you follow the instructions you're assured an A. Great professor, really enjoyed the class.

Professor Wilhite is an amazing professor. He clearly outlines what he expects and grades based on the directions given for each assignment. This course was a business oriented class, which is great if your a business major. The tests, for the most part, were fair and well thought out. He might seem intimidating at first, but he's a great prof.

I love Prof. Wilhite! He is VERY understanding and if you email him and talk to him about an issue he will help you through it. His content is "conspiracy" based and it will never make you bored. His power points are helpful and he truly makes you a better writer.
