Bert is very helpful and understanding. as long as you dont give her any Bull**** she is a great teacher. VEry easy and will take any excuse you give her for why you didnt turn in your work. (Just make it Plausible, though). She is also very entertaining, but this is a class that's better for girls than for guys due to some of the material covered

Bert is great. She doesn't nit pick the small stuff. She points out your errors, so hopefully you don't do it again. She gives a variety of stories, so it doesn't get boring. And they aren't 50 pages each. She is great, if I end up needing 1102, I will look for Bert!!

Wow, my life was enhanced because I met this teacher. She is well rounded and grounded in life. No hidden agenda's with her she is real. Most professor and teachers should learn from her. I love this class. We get to talk for about 20 or 30 minutes in the beginning of class about anything because she want us to be "well rounded". (I believe sometimes we talked just to waste time lol). Her assignments are easy and wait until you see the final paper. You will love her!

Prof. Alberti is the best! She makes class really fun! We talk current events for about 10 or 15 minutes at the begining of class. Work on assignments in class you may leave when your done. Most home work is summerizing(1 page double spaced) short storys.She does not have a typical class. So if you don't want structure don't take her.

BEST CLASS!! so easy, you talk for the first half, do an easy assignment, and then you leave. Cant ask for a better class. The final is a 4-5 page paper on story summeries. Same as the occansional HW. LOVE ITTT!

Bert is the best....I took her for both 1101 and 1102 and got A for both class....Just do your work on time and dont get lost in the shuffle.....She is an avid baseball fan (Go Marlins) so do some research on baseball before you come to class because class participation is the key...

She is the ideal professor. If every professor was like her i would love to go to school everyday. Very funny. Read the story, write about it, get a grade, take a test. You discuss current events at the beginning of every class to keep you "well rounded". A lot of papers to write, but it didn't seem like a problem as much as i liked the class.

I can't say enough good things about Professor Alberti. For all of those subpar professors, Alberti is what they should stive to be like. She gets you interested in whatever you're working on for the day. She grades fairly and appropriately. She jokes around in class, while maintaining a learning environment. The most wonderful teacher I have experienced yet. I'm currently taking her class and love every minute of it. Before this class I loathed literature. She has helped me take a 180. Now I love to read and analyze stories. She is great at helping you to understand the true meaning of the stories we read. She is one of a kind. Take her, the best ever!

She is an example of true quality. She Assigns stories that are written by authors who are well known award winners in American Lit. She deserves a Nobel Prize for being the best teacher who ever lived, lol. If you take her you will see what I mean.

I took Professor Alberti for 1101 and I am currently in her 1102 class and she is awesome! She gives alot of assignments but they are straight forward and easy to complete. No test in 1101 and test in 1102 open book. Easy going but don't be late. And if you owe her work she will put you out in class but there is no reason to fall behind. TAKE HER!

Pretty great professor. I like her a lot! Book is mandatory for her class as well as attendance. Most classwork/homework is reading or writing short stories (1-2 pgs long). There's a final paper due at the end of the semester, but she gives you a month to complete it. Shes big into sports and has a great sense of humor. Enjoy!

This class was an incredibly easy class. Alberti is nice when you get her one on one but in front of the whole class, she can be very sarcastic and disrespectful. If you want an easy composition class, this would be it. If you want to be challenged, look somewhere else.

I love Ms Alberti I would take her again if I had to. She cares about her students and she is super flexible. She refuses to let you fail but she won't give you free grades though. She was one of the first classes I took when I entered BC. Though it was a mandatory class I'm so glad I took it with her. I had her for ENC1101 and ENC1102. She's a great teacher who generally cares for all her students. Especially through all the sarcasm she gives us. She really is inspirational - she has given me the drive to continue college.

No tests in her class. You do have to write an essay as your final though. Most of the homework is reading a short story and rewriting it summarizing the main points in your own words. easy class ... she is sarcastic and will call you out for missing class or being late only because she wants her students to pass. Professor Roberta Alberti is the best thing to come into my life. First time in college and she was amazing. She wouldnt mind you not coming to class but just give her a heads up and she'll give you the work ahead of time. The first 15 mins of class she asks how the previous day of weekend was just to know. A lot of writing but you wont even know.

If you show up to class and do the work - you won't fail. Professor Alberti also tries to recycle books to save students money. Love her!

This instructor is a bit aloof but she is very friendly and approachable. Loves to have class discussions about current events or activities. Very easy class to take, you can't mess this up.
