Pretty Easy Class. Just Do Your Homework and Study For The Tests and Quizzes And You'll Get An A. Make Sure To Ask Questions On Homework Problems That You Don't Know How To Do Because Most Likely They Will Be On The Tests or Quizzes.

Personally, she was easy to understand although I felt her tests were sometimes hard. Quizzes are straight from hw. If I could take this teacher again, I would. You can manage ur time great because 95% of the time, hw is not collected.

She's pretty nice. Sometimes alittle cluddered in explaining, but she's still a good teacher. I'm not a math person but I felt this class had a good structure to it. Take her if you can handle some discipline and learning.

Come on people shes not really that hard. she will explain anything you dont understand in the homework. you just have to speak up. she does like to stick to her schedule so ask in the start of class. She is very good at explaining durring her office time

her style of teaching is straight out of the book, i had no trouble getting a B in the class, but had to work for an A. Lab projects really help your grade. she's better than some of these other people rated her as.

Mrs. Bloom is a wonderful teacher. I did not get an A liked I hoped but I learned a lot and I love her teaching style. She explains everything step by step and writes everything out which is great! Those who gave her bad ratings never put in the effort

She is helpful, but Math 22 is not her best subject to teach. Don't get me wong she knows the subject but she can only explains it to the people who already know that subject.

I don't know what you all are complaining about. This teacher is a lot better than some of the other math teachers at DeAnza. Her lectures are clear, she is very helpful and she is just really nice.

She's has very honor background: BA form Princeton Uni, MA from Havard!But her teaching style is boring. Very fast and on time. She wants to train us like Havard students!!!! Fall behind of course!

she really cares about the success of her students,wants u to understand,ive taken up to Calc 1D, and she's the best math professor that ive ever had...also, wrote me a great recommendation...trys to remember her students names even tho i had her like a year ago! i loved math when i took her class!

Over all I would reccomend her. The class is very difficult though. She talks too fast during her lectures, but was helpful at her office hours.

Yes, she is fast but it doesn't mean she's a bad teacher. She does care about you and is more than willing to help you IF you ask for it. I'm definitley not a math person but if you're willing to try hard, that A is not impossible. Just do all the homework and make good note cards!

Just get accustomed to her speed. After a several weeks of adjustment, her lecture is all you need to do hw, labs, and exams; no need to read book! Advantages: quiz- one side index card exam (4): half page note (2 sides) final: whole page note (2 sides) labs: get to do with partner A nice teache

bloom talks fast but the test were not hard

She's a good professor, she is very clear and concise. Make sure you pay attention and finish all of the homework. Her quiz's are closely related to the homework, but the tests are hard they require a lot of review and studying. Make sure to turn off your cell phone, she gets really pissed off because of that. But the final is easy.

don't trsut anybody but me. she is an awesome teacher. her lecture goes quickly, but her clear explanation makes up for it; so it shouldn't be a problem.

I got A. I was A+ before final though :( This class was not that hard. Just go to the class every day, read textbook before class, do all HW, and you can get A. Quizzes and exams are easier than HW and practice problems. There were 3 labs.

She is a pretty good teacher. I got really lost when it came to probability. I saw a tutor, spoke with her and did the homework and I still didn't understand it, so I think it was just me. She is kind of funny and respects her students. I love her accent.

She is a very, very speeeeeeedy teacher, BUT she is excellent at explaining everything! I am going to take her for 49B and I recommend her if you think you can keep up! (Although she isn't very patient with some students. She also has her favorites. I am not one of them >.<)

Very stern and keeps order. She needed to in this rowdy class (rowdy not because of her). Never got in trouble because I'm a good student. Lots of handouts and quizzes, tests are not too hard if you study. Got a B because I failed her final. I was a favorite simply because I asked good questions and behaved. Not an extremely hard class.

She is a good instructor i ever met at Deanza college, she explain every single question to you, her test was easy but abit long, her teaching speed just moderate, highly recommend!!!

She has got to be the clearest math teacher in school. I perfectly understood everything she taught. Allows notes for every test, exam. 3 exam, 1 final, weekly quiz, labs. Exams are really long, for a 1 hr class. so make pretty sure u practice alot. If you want a easy pass or grade, i suggest u move along. But if u wanna learn, Stay!

The class is easy, she try's to make it harder then it should be. She teaches completely different then the book. For the last midterm and final you gets lazy and makes it multiple choose. So either get it right or no points. She tries to trick u w/ the multiple choose having many similar answers and having answer w/ common mistakes.

i took with her, if you can use caculator well then you will be fine. i was little struggling but still get A. 6 quizes, 3 midterms, 6 labs and 1 final which can replace the one of the lowest score of the midterm, the grading policy helps you survive from stats. nice person also, take this class with her!

Not as bad as most people say she is. Her grading style is extremely fair(e.g.tests and quizzes). Unfortunately she covers everything, including all the hard stuff and will usually only test you on the hard stuff. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE HW. She always puts the hardest hw problems on her test, which are usually discussed in class way before the test

ms. bloom is a medium teacher. i mean her class will be easy if u do the homework she assigns and plus she explains real good and also she is very organized. believe me if u want an A in her class study, do homeowork and know how to do the problems.

The fact that she is a princeton undergrad and a master in harvard really surprised me. She is the most boring speaker in the school. She is semi-challenging, nice, organized, caring... BUT she is just a horrible speaker that would make you fall asleep as she talk. I have never fell asleep in class at de anza before. She broke my record... amazing.

Professor Bloom's exams are not to hard and very similar to homework. She allows a page of notes for every exam which is very helpful. The final exam is completely multiple choice which I actually found to be harder than the regular exams because the questions were much more based on understanding the theory of statistics.

This teacher is perfect... we can use cheatsheet and I always got more than 100% every test and exam... she is damnnnn easy if you listen in class... do not need homework

She's incredibly boring. It's a little hard to talk to her, because she doesn't blink (i'm dead serious), and she may come across as a little intimidating. she talks a LOT, but she's very helpful do your homework, and go to paul's tutoring group. It gets really easy to fall behind, so go to class!

She is thorough and to the point.Cheatsheets can be used. HW questions are on the test. It is your responsibility to talk to the professor or read ahead if you are behind, but she takes a lot of time during class if there is any misunderstanding, but she won't waste time if you aren't grabbing the concept. She'll ask you to see her after class.

Bloom is very helpful and clear. I don't know why she has bad reviews. I was nervous taking her class, but I ended up getting A's on all the quizzes and exams. She's approachable so don't hestitate to ask questions. Her quizzes, exams, and final are very straight forward questions. Her notes are extremely helpful and organized. Recommended!

Easy to understand, not hard tests, recommended!

i don't know why she gets so many bad reviews; she's a really good teacher. her tests are all conceptual problems but seriously, if you go to class and pay attention to her lectures, you'll go through her quizzes/exams easily.

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews about her. She is a GOOD Teacher who does know what she's talking about. Her lecture is clear, and easy to understand. And you'll get a good grade if you attend the class, pay attention, and do work !!

In all seriousness, when chosing a statistics professor, ignore everyone who is posting negative reviews about this lady. She is super organized and the class has great structure, even gives a progress report of grades toward the middle-end of the class! I really wanted to just give her a hug and tell her how great she is but this will do instead.

There are a lot of terrible math teachers at this school. This is NOT one. The other people commenting negative here are obviously right out of highschool or dont know much yet. Its a hard class all upper math classes are but she makes it very easy to understand an to complete with a decent grade. With a bit of smarts and hard work you can do well.

She is a good stats teacher! She breaks everything down so it's easy to understand and gives a grade report part way through. She drops your two lowest homework (done online and easy to get 10/10) scores and your lowest quiz, and will replace one of your exam scores with your final exam score if it's higher.

I think that she is a great teacher! I am currently in her stats class, and she's so helpful. I took stats last quarter but i dropped it because the teacher was so horrible, now i am taking her stats class and I think that she's soooo much better than my last teacher. The webassign hw helps a lot! and her class notes are really helpful. :]

sO GREAT teacher I ever had. She is very organized and cared about her students. Need help , ask her, she'll answer all right away. Do hw and read the test carefully, u'll give a high grade with a 5points/ each, but it is not tricky. 3 tests- 105points, dropped lowerest one, and final.

She is a great STATS teacher. I'm finally good at math in Bloom's class! You can get an A if you do all the homework (you don't even have to read the book) and attend every class- taking all the notes. She gives a page of notes on all quizzes & exams- that's how I get my As! So thankful for her :)

Mandatory attendance first week. Must do all HW (2 lowest drop). Quizzes easy. Tests hard but have samples online. Teaches with real world examples -- good! Very clear lecture, but fast, mumbling voice. Repeats unnecessary stuff. Overall good math teacher.

The BEST teacher I have ever had for Math till the date. 1. Clear. 2. Has her own edited version of textbook. 3. Provide notes(the best thing I have ever seen a prof doing). 4. lowest quiz, HW dropped and one exam can be replaced by final if you do better on final. 5. Very helpful. TOTALLY RECOMMEND her!!:)

She is great. Yeah you have to go to class and do the homework, but she is helpful and wants you to find the subject fun and useful in life.

She teachers Calculus material in a precal 3 class. I swear there were a few work sheets where she hand wrote the word "pre" in front of calculus. She is extremely difficult in any math class other than math 10. As you can see, most of her positive ratings are from her math 10 students. so BEWARE!!!

DON'T LISTEN TO THE OTHER RATINGS! This is the BEST math professor you're going to get at De Anza. She's organized, clear, engaging, funny, a fair grader, and very willing to help out. She makes the material seem ridiculously easy, because she explains it so well. Her tests are reasonable, and no harder than class, but you learn a LOT in her class.

She's easy in that, what she teaches is what she quizes. She brakes down material, if you take good notes you'll notice. Her final is exactly like her exams. She's bad in that, you gotta put the time in. Do her recommended hwk and go into office hours. She does everything she assigns. Passable, but a straight edge.

I have dropped 2 stats classes before taking her class. She is clear, and though she talks a lot - it's beneficial since as much detail as possible is key for a math class - especially stats. She is happy to help and answers every single question without making anyone sound dumb. I am TERRIBLE at math, yet I somehow understand it in her class.

Professor Bloom is the best math teacher I've ever had! I've never had success in math until I met her! She is extremely clear and detail oriented and very willing to help students. If you send her an email she will respond so quickly ! She lets you bring notes to every test and in general just really wants you to succeed! She is a model teacher!

I don't know why people said her difficult..she is kind and really work hard. She will add helpful comments to your answer. as an international student, I usually have my statements wrong, but every time she earnestly wrote down "Better wording XXXXXXX" besides my answer! She even gives more time when noticing us need more time to finish our tests.

Professor Bloom is an excellent teacher. She is clear and organized in her class instruction. She will also go above and beyond the information the book provides to give you a broader comprehension of the subject. I am particularly appreciative of her generosity with her time. She schedules extra review sessions and office hours. Highly recommended

SHE WAS AMAZING. She printed out the notes for us, she explained things clearly, she is approachable, and her tests and quizzes are easy to understand. I am TERRIBLE at math, but I understood everything she taught. life changer. She doesn't show special treatment and knows what she's doing.

Ive never had a math teacher that provided the chapter notes to print out and go over them in class. The Webassign homework was helpful especially when it came to the quizzes and exams. Yeah like that other rating says, she doesnt show special treatment, she's not strict but she may say something like "this class's exam scores were the worst"

She comes out as being jolly as she explains an example and also comes out as being cranky when students frequently asks for HW extensions or low exam scores. So don't slack off. Stats is a class you need to devout 10 study hrs a week. She gives you the notes, gives links to exams to study and review over, textbook was free online, barely used it.

I didn't do well in her class for personal reasons, but she's honestly a pretty good teacher. VERY ORGANIZED. Everything was online and she held a lot of office hours. I completely recommend her bc she takes everything step by step. Tests were very long so practice a lot! She can be sassy often but don't take it the wrong way. Take her!

I am not good in math, but she has printed out notes for every chapter and she teaches better than any stat teacher I have had. Grades a little tough, but she makes it easy to understand. Need calc, barely use the book. homework online for every chapter, many quizzes.

Roberta is a good teacher. She is very clear about her teaching and will help anyone who is struggling. If you pay attention to class, you will have an easy time getting a good grade in her class. Her notes are easy to follow and is very helpful for homework.

Math has never really been my strength, but I really thrived under her teaching. She is extremely organized. Everything you do in a quarter is laid out, she uses guided notes, and the tests/quizzes are representative of the material in the homework. Plus, she allows 1pg of handwritten notes for all tests/quizzes. Highly recommend.

I wouldn't say she's the top choice to take Stats, but she kinda is. HW is online, quizzes comes from HW, and she prints out the notes! And like other Stats classes the book is online. And that whole what you score on the final will replace the score of your lowest exam thing. She's comes off as nice and rude every now and than but good teacher.

Roberts is an great teacher. She's very organized and thorough. You really have to work for your grade in her class. She doesn't curve or give out extra credit. She's got high expectations which I respect. Her lectures can be very fast, but what really helps is doing the hw and asking questions. She's also very helpful during office hours.

Her homework is harder than her tests. Homework usually takes 1 hour but she gives a lot of time to finish. The book is not used AT ALL. Test material comes from the hw itself. SUPER HELPFUL lecture worksheets are given!! She drops few of the lowest grades. Her group project is an easy A. Her test problems are simple and she allows cheat sheets!

Quizzes and Exams are relatively easy, nothing surprising or tricky. However, A lot of classmates were struggling. Just pay attention and do online homework, the answers are always in your hands

This is Calculus, so you are going to need to put in the effort if you want to pass. Professor Bloom has the best interest of her student's. If the class is struggling, she will take the time to go over the material again. She posts all notes online. Quizzes and Exams are straight forward, be sure to do the homework. The final is cumulative!!

I really enjoyed her class as a business student. I learned a lot in term of business math. However, test heavy for this class. EXTRA credit provided, LAB works. If u want to learn some useful math, I suggest taking her class but getting ready to work hard. this is not a easy class to pass. GOOD LUCK.

Professor Bloom is a good teacher. She is very organized and her notes are very clear. She explains concepts in a detail and clear way. Lots of homework but worth doing it because it gives you practices on different problems.

Professor R is a great math teacher I've had at De AnZa. She explains well by step-by-step. It's quite easy to follow it. However, be aware of pop quiz and exams. IF you do the homework on time, you will be fine on the exams. Anyway, Best of Luck......

Stats is not an easy class and she tries to give as many real life examples as possible to make it easy. There's a quiz every week 1 page back and front notes, homework is done online, and 3 exams plus final. Exams you can use back and front of a paper and on the final 2 pages back and front of both. She really wants her students to pass.
