One of the best math teachers i've ever had. I understood the material very well because she explains everything so clearly. I definitely recommend her.
I've always struggled with math; not my cuppa tea. Roberta pretty much scared the heck out of me when I first saw her. Not that she looked scary (not at all, she's a smiley pretty face!); I guess I didn't know her. But knowing her then, and learning from her, was the best math experience ever! She's simply the BEST!!! (Hello Bobbi P.) (",)
sooo nice.. and answered all the questions needed.. make math fun! best math teacher i've ever had!! made things interesting and easy.. not too much homework either.. only one test and 2 projects.. AMAZING!! highly recommend~
Loves what she does and is very good at it! She will make your brain steam a little, but it's all worth the while! Should you have a "math anxiety," Roberta is the BEST to make it go away! Highly recommended! (and this comes from San Diego!)(",) -- her former student.
She is a fantastic teacher. I would recommend her to everyone. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand math. If you get a chance to take her class.....DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Ms. Pardo is an effective teacher who uses different approaches to explaining problems and is available to help outside of class.
Really nice, tries to teach the material as easily as possible.
Class is by far the worst i have taken. Her grading methods are poor and so is her requirements.
She is a great teacher and extremly helpful. She goes the extra mile to make sure you understand the mathmatical concepts. I would definately recommend her to anyone. She helped me understand math better than anyone else in the past.
Great teacher, a lot of homework and assignments!
if you don't like or have a hard time understanding math, i recommend pardo. she's extremely helpful and does a good job at making you understand the mathematical concepts.
She is VERY helpful and willing to help students out.I would DEFINTELY recommend her!!!!!
she's great teacher. i was scared of her at the first sight but she wasn't that scared. i love her teaching!!
Be careful if taking this course over the summer, it is intense. This professor knows the concepts but teaches the material at a higher level. You will do tons of word problems, you must do hours of homework each day in order to keep pace with the schedule. The final is difficult, you will fail it if you don't do the homework word problems.
Roberta is a great teacher. She is always willing to help all of her students. Bring your book to every class!
One of the better math teachers. I've had her twice and done well both times. Great teacher.
AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!
Wonderful teacher. You don't have to do HOURS of homework but you do need to keep up with it so that you understand the material. She gets to know her students and their personal needs and teaches them according to that, she is a great teacher. I've had her twice aswell, and I wish she taught 151. Take Pardo! You will actually understand math :D
Super hot, super helpful. She is great at what she does and goes so far out of her way to make sure every student that wants help gets it. Wonderful person, clearlu passionate about her job.
Love Pardo! She was always willing to work with my softball schedule and always made sure I knew what was going on and was on track!
by far one of the best math teachers ive ever had. has her students best interests at heart and to me thats the best you can ask from a teacher. i highly recommend her.
A SUPER great teacher, you will struggle in her class for a little bit but once you understand it you really understand it. I mean really understand it. You can make up bad test grades with hw and take home quizzes and LOTS of extra credit. She is also very reasonable. I would take her class again, I loved it!
AMAZING teacher. She cares about her students success. Any questions you have she'll answer. She's very accessible outside of class. I took 3 classes with Roberta. She loves her job and it shows in her teaching!
I have never done well in math, it is NOT my thing. If you hate math but are willing to try take Roberta. She is the BEST teacher I've had. She gives notes/lecture every class and explains things so clearly. I've learned so much in this class, she made math understandable. Usually e-mails you back within 1-2 hours which is awesome.
One of the best math teachers I have ever had.
Not very considerate to the students needs and the pace that some students need to go at compared to others. Her clarity when answering questions isn't very helpful and is more frustrating than anything. She does not have much patience. If math is not your strong point, then do not take her class/rely on her for teaching.
I chose her class based on her prior reviews.Unfortunately, her teaching style lacks clarity, and she often seems to have little patience when you ask for help. What she teaches does not always match the homework, and she gives more busy work than she teaches.Maybe it is a bad semester for her, but there are more helpful math teachers out there.
Very very good at what she does, math has always been my weak point in school. She is helpful when you have a question, she's willing to work with you on her off time. There is no reason for you to fail her class unless your're that type of I person I see in class texting her boyfriend/girlfriend while she us lecturing...
She made math seem ok. I would take her class very helpful. The only thing is she has lot's of projects but she grades nice and gives plenty of time.
She was a laid back teacher. Her class was so easy so it was hard to pay attention. She knows how to explain things and make them easy. What I didn't like was that a lot of times, she would make you feel stupid. When you asked a question or answered something during the notes, she would try to make you look stupid. She also yells during notes!
Best math teacher I've ever had! Highly recommend her! She explains concepts clearly and will explain further if still confused. She knows her stuff and at class end so will you!
She is truly an exceptional professor. She has a vested interest in helping her students succeed. If you put in the work, she will give you all the help you need. Best Math teacher EVER.
Great, great, great. Be prepared to work and move along at a fast pace. This teacher will do whatever is necessary to help her students. She is more interested in you learning the material than allowing you to give up! Highly recommend her.
What a great professor! Displays a true understanding of material (though this should be necessary, not all my professors have done this). Moves at an effective rate: slow enough to be thorough, quick enough so as to not lose student interest. I highly recommend taking her course!
She does not make it clear what materials to study and her tests are confusing. She made the course harder than it needed to be by making a lot of projects.
I unfortunately took her class big waste of time i unfortunately gotten into a car crash and broke my leg and during this dilemma she still said i don't allow make up work or make up test i told her i had just gotten surgery and can't move she said that's not my problem i really should have paid more attention to these helpful reviews.
This teacher is not as good as advertised. She has only answered 1 of my 4 emails. When I ask her a question, she makes me feel dumb for asking it. She will answer certain students questions even if the questions are so off base it confuses everyone in class.
Make sure you do all the homework and study hard. Tests were hard. She was okay, but I definitely wouldn't take her class again. A lot of students in class were confused most of the time. I felt like she made me feel dumb for asking a question
She is ok overall but somehow I had a difficulty of understanding when she explained! Many projects, many group works. Not easy to get 'A'.
She is fantastic, one of the best teachers I've had by far; I took three math courses with her specifically. Make sure to do all the homework assignments and pay attention in class. She is incredibly fair and I've seen her open up homework for ppl who missed assignments for dumb reasons. TAKE HER COURSE! AMAAAAZING
Terrible instructor. Her instructions for each assignment/problem was very confusing. She doesn't specify EXACTLY what she wants for an answer. There are no power points provided, and expect at LEAST 10 assignments a week online. Also, you're pretty much on your own in regards to learning each chapter. Good luck, you're going to need it.
I had her for a fast track class as a returning student. She can be tough but you will leave her class prepared for your next math class. She is knowlegable, helpful and if you seek out help and show an interest, she will accomodate you.
I took this course as an online summer class. As well as the required homework from the math labs plus she required conceptual written activities and a small group quiz, which can prove difficult with an online course. She is very thorough, clear and always responded to my needs.
I am someone who struggles in math, and I took her 091 class online and 121 in person. Her online class was awesome and I did really well. The 121 class was much more difficult. She can be grumpy and can make you feel stupid for asking a question. But she really knows her stuff and if you study and do the homework you will do fine
She makes fun of the students and is kind of rude... She never answers questions if we asked them. She grades SO hard and expects us to know everything when she doesnt explain anything to us. do not take her class....
By far one of the greatest teachers that I have ever had. If you pay attention there is no reason for you not to get an A. She makes classes interesting and very interactive. I love her so much that I am going to take MAT 142 with her as well! She is truly amazing and helps you if you are confused on a concept. She is also avalibl outside of class
I didn't really find her that helpful. She's not really mean, I just think she can make you feel silly sometimes for asking questions. You're always doing some type of project every week. I wish she would have focused on our homework more so we could do good on our tests. She grades hard, and marks off points for everything.
I've never had THIS much trouble with a course. Ms. Pardo almost NEVER interacted with the class, so we pretty much taught ourselves, which often won't go well. When I asked her for help her response was "post your question to the discussion board and a student will help. WHAT? I ended up getting ZERO help. Dont take this class if you want to pass.
By far the worse math teacher I have ever had. Grades everything extremely hard and is really rude. Makes you feel dumb when you ask a question. Also when you ask her the question half the time she wont answer it and will just repeat back "I don't know, is it?" The tutoring center does not help because she says they don't teacher "her way".
Awesome teacher. YOU WILL UNDERSTAND
she gives you a lot of attitude, she is not a good listener she walks away from you when you are still talking to her. she is hard on grading she takes out points if you don't put the units etc..
Ehhhhh. Explains the wrong way to do things, confusing all the students.
Took this course freshmen year, this being my first math class i went to this website, but now having already taken the class and passed by no means is this being over dramatic but this was the hardest class Ive EVER taken. TEST are ridiculous, in class everything is perfect till you see the homework, i did homework for HOURSSSS! STAY FAR AWAY!
I hadn't taken math in 25 years and Ms. Pardo was the perfect teacher to have. She took the time in class to make sure people understood before moving on and without getting off schedule. I spend a lot of time in the tudoring center, but I would need that in any math class.
Ms. Pardo was awesome!
shes a good teacher, definitely hard. if you ask her a question she will sometimes go around the question and make you figure it out yourself.
I am a returning student and was a little overwhelmed at first not knowing what to expect after all these years but she really made me feel at ease. She gives you plenty of opportunity to increase your grade through group projects, individual projects and extra credit. The tests are hard but she will give you partial credit if you show your work.
there is a lot of homework. She rarely gives you feedback. When she does it is actually good info. Participation is key so do not miss a class. Test are really hard!! If you are in for a challenging math class take her course
This was my first math teacher in college. I can say that I honestly didn't learn a thing from her class everything I learned was from the internet or other classes I have to take. The homework is terrible and makes no sense. Stay as far away from her as possible. And to be honest she is kinda rude if you ask questions.
Math is not my strong suit, I got by MAT121 with a C. So I am currently amazed that I have a mid-A in this class, thanks to Roberta. All of my classmates love her: she answers questions but also helps you work around it to figure it out yourself so you can learn. Hw is due Sunday, MyMathLab can be fairly tedious but it gives opportunities for help.
This was my first mat class in college. To be completely honest I only learned stuffed from outside sources because her lectures were very confusing and she offered no help to me. She was also kinda rude to me and called me out if I didn't know the anweser to a question. Save yourself the trouble stay as far away from her as possible.
Roberta isn't the teacher for you if you don't already know what your doing. She answers your questions with a question so I never really had my question answered. I learned everything from outside sources tutoring labs, internet, textbook. This made for a really bad learning experience. If you want a teacher that doesn't care go for Roberta.
I'm currently going into a class post Pardo and I'm screwed. I don't know anything I should have learned from her. She tends to play guess-what-the-teacher-is-thinking even after getting to the point of it being obvious the class has no clue. Even if you're right she'll tell you you're wrong and then repeat your words and say she's right.
Very very specific when it comes to math, switches up the groups after every test. Gives tests every other week . Gives a lot of homework.
She is a great teacher and can explain things very clearly when she wants to. However, a lot of times the class turns into a guessing game where she expects everyone to know what she's thinking and she gets frustrated when nobody does. She switches up the groups a lot and encourages high participation from everyone. Grades papers with great detail
It was a challenging class but not terrible. So long as you do the work and show up for class you can manage it. Every once in a while it seemed like we were trying to guess what was in her head, as in she was looking for something very specific. All in all, it was a fun class, and she is pretty reasonable. She is cool and gives second chances.
This instructor is awful. She doesn't explain things in multiple ways and expects you to just do it her way. She is really into herself. A lot of group actives make me more confused. I would never take this instructor again because of her personality and poor teaching skills. Hard to understand topic if absent since no book and must do it her way.
As long as you understand whats going on, you'll be good. Our class was struggling on understanding concepts and she would yell at us everyday. Gives group and partner quizzes. There are assigned seats. Always gives hw assignments on my math labs. Not the best teacher but it could have been worse
I would recommend not taking her. I was decent with math so rarely stuggled but when I did her attitude made me feel dumb. She seems to not care to much about her student. She also tends to be moody and take it out on her students. When it comes to test watch out for every little detail. Talks to student like they are in hs,also assigned seats.
After being in college for over 2 years now Roberta Pardo is one of the worst professors I have ever taken a class with. This professor is very intimidating and just is a teacher who expects you to know ever thing. Also to include this professor grades your homework like it is a final exam test! Pardo Is not RECOMMENDED!
He is not a great teacher. He expects a lot of out you and doesn't explain very well.
She is a really good math professor and i really like her style of teaching. She is very picky about how you do your math but is very clear and elaborates very well. If you have questions she will take the time to help you until you understand it. If you respect her she will respect you back. Otherwise you'll have a harder time in the class.
I took her Mat 092. She can be moody sometimes and makes her students feel dumb sometimes. She grades really tough. But if you can get past all of that, she is very thorough in her lectures and I learned a lot in her class. She doesn't just tell you the formula for the problem, she helps you understand why and how the formula works.
Ms. Pardo took over the Mat082 online class for awhile when the original instructor had to take leave for part of the semester. Ms, Pardo did a great job and offered great feedback and engagement.
One of my favorite professors I have ever had. She is very laid back and has a fun personality, but she teaches very clearly and with a lot of energy which make the lectures more interesting. She has worked with me around my busy conflicting schedule and cares about her students' success. Very personable and nice. Highly recommend her!
very good teacher, pushes you to improve.
She is very specific with what she wants on tests and homework. Work needs to be shown on everything you do. If you miss a class she's totally understanding and allows you to come into her office whenever it works for you. She really pushes you to use your brain. Overall she's a pretty good teacher!
Never, would I have thought I would be saying how much I like math, but after taking this class I really do like math. Ms. Pardo pushes you, teaches you things from a different aspect, and breaks everything down so you can clearly understand what you are doing. She has changed my perspective on math and is the best teacher I've ever had.
This instructor has no business being an educator. This was totally about her and her egotistical narcissism. Good teachers teach, great teachers reach out to all their students especially those who are struggling. Pardo is neither, stay away from this so-called instructor.
She was awful. She is the rudest professor I have ever had. She will yell at and bully her students in class, and judge them for not understanding. She gets mad if you find it easier to do something in a different way than her even if it's right. She is extremely rude to and judgmental of her students. Don't take her class.
She is very strict on her grading, so I would suggest you know what she wants from you on a test/homework before you turn it in, ask questions if you're not sure, take good notes, and don't forget your units!!!
Prof. Pardo is moody and judgmental. She sets students up to fail and then proceeds to belittle them for it. Her way of teaching is to go over definitions, and not explain how to use anything. For example, she turned the linear function equation "mx+b" into the most difficult part of the class. Be prepared to teach yourself the entire time.
Great teacher, gives you the information on how to do the work and makes sure you do it right.
Professor Pardo was very strict and not a nice grader. Doesn't explain things well at all when questions are asked. Yells at the class when we all didn't understand something. A lot of homework and group projects and you have assigned seats. Only had 4 tests including final but pay attention to notes.
She doesnt explain anything and if you ask a question she looks at you like your an idiot.
She is very rude and judgmental. Not very approachable.
The best math teacher I have ever had. She's a little tough but she wants you to succeed.
she doesnt help out if your struggling or need extra help.
An average professor. Lots of group projects. There weren't too many exams (only 2 out of the semester). Some homework but not too much, was doable. Allows you a page of notes during exams and final. Was VERY flexible about grading (at least for me). I did not get a good grade on the final but she gave me extra credit and I kept the same grade (B).
Grading wise too difficult and too specific. Especially for homework. Homework is practice for the test. I think you should correct a little more on homework so we can get the idea
i took pardo for MAT055 and MAT142 and she is the best. super friendly and does a really good job of explaining what is going on. personally, i hate math but she makes her coursework very easy to understand. homework is online and exams are not difficult if you study and make the cheat sheet she allows. im lucky to have gotten her twice.
The perfect professor if your major doesn't require much math. She focuses more on teaching you to think critically rather than memorize equations. She is also very easy to talk to you and is very understanding.
Awesome professor. She is always willing to help with whatever it is you are having problems with while still allowing you to figure it out on your own. If you are like me and always struggled with math she is excellent in showing you the proper way to do whatever it is you are faced with. Outstanding person. Would take again.
Haha! Prepared to get yelled at for her mistakes. y mx+b. She took a very simple concept and made it seem like the most difficult thing on the planet. 2 months I struggled in her class. Finally, I went on the internet for 20 mins, and learned everything she had not only been failing to teach, but everything she was GOING to fail to teach.
Continuing a comment made on 09/22/2019. Do yourself a favor if you find yourself in this class and can't get another teacher for some reason. Take 20 minutes to an hour and learn from Khan Academy. You'll learn everything you're supposed to do. Also, there will be an assignment when you learn rate of change, account for leap year.
Professor Pardo is awesome. Tells it like it is, all the while eager and helpful when you reach out and ask. She teaches COLLEGE level math and expects college level work out of her students, which should be pointed out to those looking for an easy ride. She has ALWAYS been available to help with additional understanding outside of class time.
Hard grader Confusing notes
I struggled in this class, math is hard in general. Her lectures were confusing at times, but she tries to teach you why its the answer. I like her a lot as a professor, she's always available. Use her and the tutoring center and you will pass. College level means college work. Just made sure you can explain how you get your answers and STUDY!
This professor is a very hard grader. She will mark you off on tests and homework for something as simple as using the wrong variable. I got As and Bs in math before this class and failed her class. She's not clear when explaining concepts and only wants you to use her way, even if there's an easier way. She never answers questions clearly either.
Professor Pardo is great if you want to succeed. She does push you but, she really cares for you. I remember some of the students were kind of rude to her but, as long as she knows you are trying she gives you the respect you deserve. She would always give me hugs and say Hi to me because again, as long as you work hard she will see it, trust me.
I like the way of her teaching. She will make you practice on the board before write down to the notes. Some are easy to understand and some are confuse. I took her for mat141 and 151. She is strict to grades assignments, so be careful what you write on it. Group project is not my favorite. People in my group did not do anything and still get grade
Best math teacher I have ever had. I struggle a lot with math. Prof Pardo was patient, kind, and understanding. Open notes for the test, average homeowork, one group project. She cares and wants you to actually learn. Would recommend 10/10.
Doesnt reach out to students that are struggling not to students with a few Missing assignments. Even before getting dropped, she didnt give a warning or anything. Im surprised that a person with no care in the world became a teacher in the first place. I didnt pay money to get dropped from my classes without a warning at least. Worst teacher.
This class is very easy online if you do the homework. There weren't many tests but she does group work a lot. I prefer the group work because you can split the work. Not much lecture, just to the point notes.
tough grader! To Much Work! Expects everything to be perfect. Marks off points on the slightest mistakes. Doesn't give clear feed back. Notes are hard to understand and don't help you much on the actual Homework. Worst teacher ever DO NOT TAKE HER!!
It almost felt as if her goal was to make me fail. I am not the greatest at math but this teacher made things more difficult than they were already. Do not take her class. I have never written a review for any instructor but I felt as if I needed to let other students know that she makes math a lot harder and more stressful than it has to be.
This professor teaches as though you already know how to do the math and she is just reminding you of the steps instead of explaining them. If you struggle in math dont take her class. Some chapters had no videos of explanation and you are left to figure it out by looking at the book, then the ones that have videos arent too helpful. Got a tutor!
This is without a doubt the worst class I've taken in my year and a half of attending college. This course is more difficult than anything I've ever taken. I write this review mid-way through the course out of frustration and as a warning to anyone wanting to take MAT142 - DO NOT take Professor Pardo's class, and if you do, MAKE SURE IT'S IN PERSON
I've always struggled w math and she really helped me learn to love it. She's very clear with her teaching and it's easy to understand as long as you are paying attention and practicing outside of class which is something you should be doing anyways. You can tell how much she loves her job and students. She's also an easy grader for a math teacher.
Do NOT take this class. She does not give you the time of day, even if you are in her class. She refuses to teach and demands you to go learn from other students in class. She won't help, just there to aggressively yell at you for getting answers wrong. She NEVER explained a thing. Taking her class is a waste of your valuable time.
Pardo was an overall good professor. However, sometimes she would all of a sudden give lots of homework out of nowhere and it would be either a Saturday or even a Sunday, and you would have to complete them the next day. So beware of lots of homework and vague feedback on your assignments. Make sure to take good notes and possibly a tutor.
Ms. Pardo was an okay professor. She does expect you to complete homework on the weekends, so BEWARE. She does give out good feedback on assignments, but her feedback can be vague sometimes. She expects you to be specific on the assignment/homework questions. Just take good notes, ask questions, and do your work, then you can pass MAT055.
She was Absolutly amazing, super easy to understand and i was able to reach her outside of school hours. she doesn't skip anything in the textbook and is always open to answering questions that you have. She cares a lot about the students in her class and is always willing to talk if needed and will check on you if you seem like your not okay.
Professor Pardo gives great advice when you talk to her 1 on 1. However, she tends to yell at you or other classmates while doing group work or if you don't know how to do a step of a problem. Also she makes assignments due on Saturday instead of Sunday so you have to prioritize her class.
After not being in school for a while, professor pardo was really helpful with the process of getting back into doing math. She is tough sometimes but I feel its always in the students best interest. Has you work with others in the class on things sometimes and I enjoyed that.
Roberta is probably the best math teacher I have ever had. She knows exactly how to push people in the right direction. I have always been horrible at math, but I did well in her class. Class time is for instruction and all homework is done outside of class. She is will let you do ZOOM if you cannot come to class which is extremely helpful.
Roberta is amazing. I have no other words to describe my experience, she puts in what she gets from you as a student. If you put in the handwork you will be rewarded with high marks. Her class is not easy, but if I can do it so can you. She believed in me and I got a freaking B in my last math class ever.
Very tough grader, grades every homework assignment as harshly as a test would be graded. More points get taken away then what seems fair for little mistakes based off lack of clarity in assignments.
Lousy teacher, gives very little feedback and the notes and videos aren't particularly helpful when trying to complete the assignments. Grades everything like it is a test.
PLEASE DONT TAKE HER! SHE CRITIQUES EVERYTHING LIKE IF DONT DARKEN A DECIMAL PONIT -1/2, FORGET TO PLACE YOUR NAME OF A PIECE OF PAPER YOUR UPLOADING -1, DOES NOT EXPLAIN EVERYTHING EVEN IF YOU GO TUTORING ONLINE! JUST GO TUTORING AT SCHOOL THEY EXPALIN BETTER! GROUP PROJECTS EVERYDAY AND EXAM ARE ONLY 2 HOURS FOR 20 Q'S 30 PARTS!!! RUNN ABEG!
She seems like a wonderful individual, but as a professor, she's terrible. She's an INCREDIBLY tough grader. As someone who struggles in math, her video notes and resources did NOT help me & ended up teaching myself through tutoring or other online notes just to pass her class. Get ready to spend 12+ hours a week on assignments and vague feedback
All the information you need in each video. If anything is unclear in regard to correct notation, how she wants the work shown, etc., it's an oversight on the student's end. Take good notes & refer to them throughout assignments to verify your accuracy & correctness in order to meet her grading criteria.
Easily one of the best teachers/professors I've ever had. Her lectures were very clear, the material was presented in a way that was understandable and thought out, and her sarcastic wit made making mistakes feel less detrimental. She was a tough but fair grader who not only expected, but sought to bring out the best in each of her students.
This professor graded very harshly and was just rude in general if she did not like you.
Dr. Pardo was a great professor that cares about her students. She utilizes the whiteboards weekly and assigns about 1-3 homework assignments per week. She is very strict with her grading, but it helped me comprehend the importance of some of those little things. Really as long as your nice, she'll reciprocate that effort.
Pardo's class is challenging, but engaging if you put in the work. She loves the subject and it shows. Use Unstuckstudy and other study tools to stay on top of the material.
This course would be great but the layout is so confusing. It's almost like you have to solve a riddle to find the next assignment. Most assignments aren't labeled as such and by the time you find it its too late. To do dates are unclear. Maybe the professor doesn't want us to learn. Such a shame.
This class is a joke. Professor rarely messages back and assigns classwork with material she has not taught. Group assignments and if your group fails to respond or do what is required you are punished. Do not take it if you need this class because you're bound to fail from the start.
She doesn't cover all of the content in her 3 minute long "lectures" and then new concepts are just thrust upon you in the homework, so even if you're doing all the work, you aren't being taught all the concepts you need in order to get a halfway decent grade. I took this class because all the other ones were full, I should have just waited.
Her three minute "lectures" don't cover all the concepts, so you're blindsided by them in the homework. This is especially frustrating if you're not already great at the subject which is the entire reason I, and I'd imagine many others, would be taking a zero level class in college. Go with a different professor.
Try not to take this class if necessary, the teacher makes you enter a zoom meeting for the tests, requiring a camera on the whole time, making it real stressful.
One of the worst classes I have ever experienced. Lectures do not cover the material efficiently and she has the assignments in an order that does not make sense. Required group projects but if the group doesn't participate there is no consequence for them. Very little compassion for those who are not experts in her field.
This is a fast paced class and the teacher does not allow extra credit or anything. If you are a visual hands on learner she is not the teacher for you. She will do the math in her head and then write the answers down,
This professor grades harshly and the order that she has assignments due are not consistent or follows how the lesson should flow. Her lectures are rambles and does not show step by step because she assumes students know her level of understanding. She assigns projects that are lengthy and offers very little assistance.
The lessons were very well explained, but if you didn't understand something she would kind of leave you there to dry and demean you a little when you 'should' know the answer, as if its impossible to forget or miss some concepts. The feedback on the grading was a little unclear sometimes but she did do partial credit and was decently lenient.
At first, when my course started, I felt like she didn't like me very much because her responses were short and she graded somewhat strictly, to the contrary to what's been said here, I actually like her. She appreciates individuals who genuinely try. If you need help, she's cool and will work with you.
I like her; she's no-nonsense and very direct, which I appreciate. I highly recommend her.
roberta pardo is a good teacher and explains things decently but can be a little mean but overall the class was good
