He is an awsome teacher. His test are very fair. The only thing is he has an accent, but he is great. He knows his stuff. Makes calc III look like algebra.

Really good professor. Answer questions at the begining, and explain as many times as necesary. Fair examas and good reviews. He has an accent but Math has it's onw language so it won't matter. He knows a lot and warns you of common mistakes. I think he really care for the students.

I came into the class nervous about college algebra. But if you know how to study and are responsible enough to do your homework, you can pass with an A like I did. He is super nice and gets straight to the point, tries to make it easy for you, and is concerned about you. Great math teacher!

Professor is very helpful and nice. He reviews before exam and tells you the types of questions that will be on test and it is in that exact order. Recommend and be sure you have taken pre-cal to be successful in this class.

Do all your homework right after class, go to the lab if you have questions, and do all the extra credit if you want an A.

took him for calc 2 and 3, and i got an A in both classes. if you take notes and copy hw problems that he goes over, you'll be fine. he uses simple questions on tests (just like ex's in class). i hardly ever did the hw; only in the beginning of the semester. i studied either the day before or day of. plus, it's miami dade... therefore, it's easy!

took calc2/3 (both A's) he's very cool. he doesn't care about attendance. you don't want to miss class though. taking notes helps on the test. i never did hw and studied the day of the tests. i think he's teaching lin alg this fall. i wish i could be taking it with him, but i just transferred to UF. =P so i'm taking it here -.-' take him!!!

OMG! This professor is the absolute best! I was never in my entire life good at math. I took MAT1033 and barely passed with a C but taking MAC1105 with this professor in Summer B, i got an A. He goes over everything! If you have a question, he will go over it 30 times for you. His tests are not that hard, BUT you must study and do homework!

REALLY GOOD PROFESSOR. Explains lesson and gives homework that you dont have to do. Before every test he gives a review that covers every single question, just make sure you make it the day of the review. He gives partial credit and lets u argue if you think you deserve more points! One of the best professors at MDC. He teaches very well the material, helps with homework and reviews. His test push you to study, but then again in Calc 1 it is a must. You do have to memorize every formula but it helps a lot when you get to calc 2 and you remember everything.

i took him for calc 1 & 2. tests are similar to hw, make sure u practice all the even ques too cos sometimes 1 or 2 pops up. 5 tests and a optional final, 10 pts extra credit in each of them which makes life easier. pero our class was at 8:30pm n he was all over the place. the chino in class always challenges him n cabezas play around with him too!

Professor Cabezas DOES care for his students but only those that care about his class. This is the way it should be for all professors. He is doing an EXCELLENT job as a professor albeit in the beginning of the semester he was a bit rusty in math and so was I. He did give me an A when I had a B+ because I demonstrated growth(e.g.clas participation)

Calculus isn't an easy subject, but numbers come easily to me. At the beginning the course was great but towards the middle to the end he would just literally fly through a lesson (or 2) & all the students were left dumbfounded. The majority of the class didn't pass, I did. Great professor for lower level mathematics(Took him for precal) not cal 3.

He is one of the best professors, I got an A in his class and he was helpful. Gives extra points when you board(easyyyy) for your tests. There are 5 tests, lowest grade is dropped so do good on the first 4 and you'll be done ahead of time. 10 point extra credit towards the test which is easy too. Don't miss class because you'll get behind.

Sweet man, and he knows his stuff. He is a straight shotter and if no one asks questions he assumes you understand and he will move on. He goes through the material at a moderate pace, so you'll need to write fairly fast. Math isn't my subject but he teaches it well. After you get passed his accent you'll understand his lessons. Best professor! I took him for 1105 and 1147 and I got an A and a B(because I missed a class). So go to class because if you miss you'll be wayyy behind. He explains very clear and helps you if you go up to him. If you go to the board you get points towards the exam ;) study guides before the exam. you do have to study. He's adorable :) TAKE HIM!

Great math teacher. However he does go fast, but on the upside he gives you a sample list of questions on the test. Also there is always an extra credit question with 10pts. He will let you use a formula sheet on certain test if you class mates insist. The material gets easy toward the end, after the trig part is gone.

He welcomes questions from the hw at the beginning of class and there is always a bonus question on the tests. Final is optional. I got an A in his class and did not have to take the final!

Math is not easy at all, trigonometry is a pain in the a.. However, professor Roberto Cabezas makes it so but so enjoyable, and yet some students find a way to fail even when he gives 5 extra points, easy to get, on each exam. It's a shame he wont be teaching calculus for spring. 500% recommended!

Great professor. I took the class online and pass with an A. He adds videos that are very helpful and gives reviews for quizzes, final and midterms. Classmates were very helpful to we have each other for HW. Do the discussion and i didn't do much of the hw.

He is really nice and always stops and asks if we understand or have any questions. I can tell he really wants us to learn, he does not mind going over it again, I took this class blended so we only met once a week and the rest do at home. 4 online quiz , 4 in class, & connect math hw(worth like 10% i think) final is optional if you have a 70%.

The best syllabus I've ever gotten. Every homework assignment, section, what's on each test, grading percentage, all right there on his syllabus. I wish every teacher would have a syllabus as clear as his. You walk in there knowing exactly what's on each test.

I took this professor online and I loved him. It was a very common sense course when it came to the assignments. As long as you keep up with the class and turn everything in, it's an easy A.

Professor Cabezas is by far my favorite math professor in the Kendall campus. He teaches great, gives amazing reviews before the test, gives extra credit for bonus questions and also by participating. Super helpful in his office hours and he has the biggest heart. I took him for 1147, now for 2311, and next semester again for 2312.

He breaks down Calculus 2 to the simplest form anybody can. I wish he was my grandpa for how nice and respected he is in class. There are five test and an optional final. The test are cake and if you're bad at math, he will still give you credit for the work. He usually assigns homework, "project" as he calls it, which is easy and counts as 10 pts.

By far, the best professor I had my first semester. Incredible man and well-respected among colleagues. If I could, I would take all my math classes with him. He teaches math in an easy way. Best math prof at dade! He replaces your lowest test grade with the grade you get on the final (which is optional) thats the reason i ended with an A. Wow this class was a walk in the park. If you are bad at math and just want to pass the class take him, otherwise dont. Sometimes I felt boring and without any challenge. His tests were very basic and the extra credit were just as easy as the tests. If you love math or just like a challenge not a good choice, way too easy, as a teacher he is ok

I was worried after reading the comments, but he was one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Sometimes he goes a little fast, but he stops to answer questions. You will have homework every day, but they are a great preparation for the test. We used an access code and did all the homework online. P.S: No extra credit

He is the sweetest professor I ever had. He is very good at explaining, don't be shy to ask questions. If you are bad with math take him. He gives you extra if you participate by doing problems on the board. He also puts one extra problem on his test as an extra credit question. Some of the extra credit questions are worth ten points.

His tests are easy only 75% of your grade and theres 6 tests plus optional final. So even if you fail 2 tests you still have a pretty good chance of passing. I'm really bad at math, i failed it twice before.

honestly, I am not the best at math but his test were easy to pass. he is a very caring person and makes the final optional, i failed 3 test and still ended with a B

Great professor! HW is 30% of the grade. Total of 4 exams. The 4th exam replaces the lowest grade if you pass. Dont skip class if you are bad at math. Take notes. You should be fine

He is a great professor! he does go fast but he is clear with the material and has clear handwriting. you have quizzes online and 4 tests in class. as long as you practice and do your homework it is an easy A. the final is optional if you want to replace a grade with a better one. he posts practice tests so you can have an idea of what to expect.

His class is based on the hw and if you do it youll have no problem. Its simple to get an A in the class if you just show up and do his hw. Really nice professor & teaches clearly. 4 exams & an optional final. One of the best math profs at Kendall campus.

Great math professor, I would take him again but due to my schedule, I can't. No textbook required so don't buy it save your money. if you take his blended class is mostly the assignments done in MCgrawhill math connect and you will need to buy a code. 4 quizzes done online and 4 tests in class with an optional final with practice tests.

This professor was so good, if you do all the assignments and pay attention in his class you are gonna pass. His class is not difficult at all but you have to study. I highly recommend taking him. :)

Take him!! I thought I was bad at math until I took him. He explains EVERYTHING. Homework and quizzes are online, they are similar. Tests are in class and straight out from the practice tests and homework so make sure you do them before the tests. He is super nice and if you have questions he will explain. Pay attention and you will pass

He was helpful n by yet we had a lot of assignment and in connectMath we had more than 70 exercises and it is only a 5% of my grade.... a lot of homework and quizzes. I got and A but I had to work a lot every day.

Take this class, EASY A. I didn't take this class in person because of COVID but it was super easy. You'll have to read the book on your own and do some homework. There are 4 tests but if you had more than 70%, you do not have to take the final. The tests were really easy. TAKE HIM!!!

We didnt have any virtual meets, had to do one group project, multiple assignments that allowed various attempts, and exams arent proctored. Group project can exempt you from the final. Easy A.

Ive taken this professor both in person before COVID & online during COVID as well & have had him for almost every math class Ive taken at MDC. Im not the best at math with him Ive gotten As in almost every math class! Hes very helpful, kind, & his reviews & hw will always help you. I highly recommend this professor !

Very nice professor. Homework and help on homework were very accessible. Notes were a bit incoherent, but made much sense.

Would definitely recommend this teacher, he is super easy test aren't proctored and easy. Homework is given with plenty of time and are very easy.

I didn't see him all semester because he was sick, all his classes are recorded, he's super nice, he answers all the emails, it's super easy, I recommend the class, he grades the tasks and the tests, but they are very easy. take it!!!

this is a great professor! I took him for an 8-week class in the spring term. you have to do at least one homework every day to not get behind with due dates. he is happy to help you during and even after class if you don't understand something. if you pay close attention to the class, you'll understand it. PLS take this professor don't take others

Great class. attendance optional, 4 exams, final optional. lectures explain everything and the content is accessible 24/7. the homework is on pearson and it is super easy. exams are multiple choice on blackboard and honestly just as the homeowrks. take him! he helps after class and answers questions

The class is super easy, take it with him! All the homework is opened in the beginning, its all done in pearson. Theres only 5 exams and a final which is optional if you get 70% or higher. But he explains everything really well. He is amazing and sweet!

Prof Cabezas is very nice and cares for his students. Course consisted of homework done through pearson, and tests done online. A bit of accent but it is worth it. Take his class!

Great professor for Calculus 2. If you come into Calc 2 with no prior understanding or Calculus 1, it will not be a fun time for you. Make sure to look at the notes prior to class and just keep up with the class lectures. I loved this class and would definitely take him again for Calc 3. Clear lectures and great test structures. Simple to pass.

easy-going class and Prof. logging into the class isn't required, but he's always there teaching the lessons or if you have any questions. the assignments weren't difficult at all. the class consisted of assignments and about 3 exams, all non-proctored. I recommend!

I took an 8-week online course. If math isn't your strongest subject, then this will be a bit of a challenge. If you want to pass this class, you will have to dedicate much time to it, especially since it is in a short amount of time. There was one proctored midterm and one proctored final exam. Lots of other work too. I passed with a C.

I suck at math. I took the 8 week completely by mistake, I studied really hard but it was a lot of coursework and the proctored mid-term and final killed me. If you're good at math, will be easier for you, if not, consider doing this in the main session. I'm sure this is do-able, just be aware it's a lot.

Mr. Cabezas has been one of the least stressful teachers I have ever had. If you just pay a bit of attention, you will pass the class with flying colors. He would extend all the due dates, give no homework, and give practice tests that help SOO MUCH in preparing for the actual tests. He is so awesome..

Absolute angel! he is extremely easy going. The class material itself is not hard if you pay attention to the lectures and take notes. Homework is due per chapter after the test is complete. Practice test help a ton for studying for the test. test on paper

Roberto was the best professor I had in math. He cared a lot about his students I had a 65 and he brought my grade up so I was about to get a C. He has 5 exams and 1 more exam for extra credit. He allowed us to use our phones for the first exam which was awesome and set the tone for the rest of the semester. We didn't have to attend class.

Responds back to emails in a timely matter, simple course work, and very understanding. I would highly recommend.

This professor is amazing he can explain things very well and is honestly the best math teacher I've ever had in college. It took his class online but if it were in person he it would be better. He genuinely cares you won't regret taking his class. Best teacher at MDC.

Professor Cabezas is an understanding and accommodating instructor. His class was manageable with practice tests and unstuck study as helpful study tools. Definitely recommend taking his course.

I loved taking professor Cabezas, he's very nice and definitely understands what he's explaining. He will hear you out whenever there's a problem and help you out in any way possible. What I would recommend is to do your homework!! Because it piles up and feels like a lot if not done when assigned. Overall he's a great professor!

I took this as an online class. Be ready to do lots of homework, but the class is quite easy. His powerpoint lectures helped understand the content well and the homework is good practice for the quizzes. 1 proctored midterm, and 1 proctored final. At the end, I asked if he could round up my 89% to a 90% and he said yes. Very amazing professor!

Took the class online. All the HW is available through ALEKS at the beginning of the course and he leaves it open till the very end. My advice is start doing it as soon as class starts because it can pile up. Great professor. Responds to messages quickly. The study guide for the midterm and final are EXTREMELY helpful!

If you can take this course in the summer, know a bit of Precalculus Algebra fundamentals before you enroll. The professor was great to stop during his lectures & solve different problems step by step until we understand it. He grades overall assignment percentage & mostly tests. I recommend math tutoring help if you need it.
