Mr. Diaz rocks! He's very helpful and encourages students to try. He goes through all the steps and clarifies if there are any questions. He's very fair and doesn't trick the students. He makes math very enjoyable.

he s new not so experienced but is learning also has some accent
He needs to improve his teaching methods.
If you hate math, he will make you see another side of it. He is such a graet teacher... Love math now =)
He means well, but he needs more improvement in his teaching.
He is ok kind of boring but when is math actually fun. if you do the HW and turn it in on time you will be ok
I couldnt have made it through this class without Mr. Diaz's help. Very patient, helped answer questions without hesitation. I came into this class disliking math; it is not my best subject. Made class interesting. Recommended to students having trouble in math.
I use to be terrible at math (averaging C's my whole life) Then I took his Math 70 class and he really helped me to understand the basic applications of Algebra. Now I'm minoring in Mathematics. He's very helpful and does everything he can to try and have
Great teacher...made math just that much easier. he wasn't too hard either...he gave homework every night but it was easy stuff. definitely take this teacher
This teacher is great he is not full of himself, and he answers every question without a doubt. He doesn't intimidate anyone. Take this class if you have math anxiety. He will definitely help you if you do your homework and study not just play games on the computer!
He is fast paced and very serious, better for those who have a good understanding of math.
He's a cool teacher, but just wont help out at all!! Even if you try your hardest he wont pass you!!:( WAY TO FAST PACED!! Once you finally just got something next you know your on the next..
Mr. Diaz is a great instructor. He is very detailed when teaching the material. I can't see myself taking another instructor for math. Makes math seem very simple. He's very helpful and hot.
He is a great teacher whoes explanation is simple, clear, and understandable. Also his class is well organized so that you won't miss anything. His tests are not difficult. I recommend to take his classes if you haven't found a right Math teacher yet!
He is a great teacher whoes explanation is simple, clear, and understandable. Also his class is well organized so that you won't miss anything. His tests are not difficult. I recommend to take his classes if you haven't found a right Math teacher yet!
Mr. Diaz is the best math instructor. He is great at explaining an giving examples. He seems serious in the beginning but very funny and nice. He knows his stuff and what he's teaching. He is the best in math. He is very good with assigning homework which helps with the lesson he is teaching. He's very hansome for all the ladies to check him out.
he is a very good teacher. Homework is mandatory but it is the only way to learn the materia. He explains very good and gives examples. However, test are hard but every problem on those exams are in the book. Really cute man!!
This teacher is sooo boring. He's only helpful when he is in a good mood other than that he pretty much moves at a fast pace. I went to every single class and turned in every assignment and he still gave me a D. If you want to stay awake during class do not take his class
Mr. Diaz is an awesome professor. He is easy and if you think math 70 was hard than maybe you really shouldnt have taken that class. He is a great person and is very easy to understand. SOmetimes it was boring but arent all math classes? But overall a very recommended teacher!!!
Best math teacher ever, made things easy to understand and was always willing to help, yet he made you do your work. I would recommend him to anyone that fears math, he makes it very understandable, especially the word problems.
He's a great teacher, explains really well, I learned a whole lot, I only dropped because I didn't want to fail ( I stopped showing up, couldn't get motivated to stay) So if you NEED to take math try to get this guy.. atleast you will be able to pass the tests
Excellent Teacher
Very thourough and easy to understand!!
No interest in helping and making sure you understand material
Does an excellent job of explaining from start to finish and wants students to learn the material. This prof. is not for those who aren't interested in learning! His homework policy is designed to help you understand the lecture before coming to class for another lecture and without that, I would have done poorly. challenging, but worth it
Mr. Diaz is an excellent teacher and very helpful.
Mr. Diaz is AWESOME! Crystal-clear lectures. Former engineer, knows everything about the subject inside and out so he can teach it clearly. Very helpful. Never goes off subject or arrives to class late or cancels class or gets rude or argumentative. Moves quickly through the semester, may seem hard if you don't do the homework. No curve though.
He lectures for the entire class. He will answer all questions asked. There are about 5 midterms and if you fail more than one of them, you fail the class. For the first half of the semester, he gives about 50 problems a night to do. I do recommend him though. I just wish I had studied more and paid closer attention.
Diaz is awesome. I seriously sucked at math before i took his class. He explains everything really clearly and makes math seem really easy to do. Just pay attention, do the homework, and you'll get good grades on the midterms.
Fantastic Teacher!! Totally recommend him for anyone!!
Diaz is a great teacher and really knows his stuff. He'll do everything he can to help you, but ultimately it's up to you to pass the test. The test can be hard if you don't study or pay attention. But He gives tons of chances to get a good grade.
Ratemypro so he was good so I got really excited to take him. BAD IDEA! He's THE most flat teacher I've ever taken. Not one joke the entire semester. He's not understanding at all. Not to mention the tests were incredibly hard even after studying my butt off. I'm an honors student also, so I'm not just some angry idiot. He just sucks at teaching.
not an easy class but you'll learn to be disciplined. for my class he gave very little homework but if you plan on passing the class be prepared to know your stuff. he teaches the material very well, nothing to complain about.
He is a great professor! He IS hard but if you take notes, study and do the hw (even though it's not mandatory) you will pass! He is very intimidating but he knows his stuff!
He is such a great teacher. His class is pretty easy to understand. The test are not to hard if you study. The only problem is that he doesnt give study guides. But other then that his class is easy to understand
Attendance is required if you want to pass this class. I recommend doing the recommended problems because you're going to need it. One Quiz every week, about 5 questions each. Wasn't too hard. Lectures were easy and clear to follow. All students should take him.
Great teacher. He expects you to do your share in the classroom. Very thorough in his lecture
ok teacher, leaves it up to you to do the outside class work. Doesn't assign homework but would strongly recommend to do the practice problems he has given from the book. Stay on top of your game because its easy to get that "I got this" mindset until the test comes around, by that time you'll b caught off guard.
Over half of the class dropped, and only half of the remaining passed. That is all you need to know.
Mr. Diaz is a great instructor. I can honestly say that the people that dislike him are the lazy student. He explain the material clearly In class and if you still need more help he will help you during his office hours. Stay on top of thing for once you get behind it will take a lot of effort to catch up. Class moves quite fast so don't slack off.
Take Diaz for trig. He has the most crystal clear lectures. He is very exact and you will learn a lot from his fastidious approach. If you are going further in mathematics or physics then what you learn in trig will become very valuable. Diaz is very professional. He relates material to experiences he has had while working in the engineering field.
Very helpful, attendance is not mandatory but you need to go to every class to understand everything. Cool guy. I strongly recommend him. He assigns home work but it is "optional". He gives you all the material and the option for help. Its your decision whether you pass or not. Do the homework and come to class and it will be cake.
I did not have a good experience with Professor Diaz. He went through the material way too fast for my liking, he did not give you credit for hw (just gave a list a "recommended practice problems") He puts LOTS of emphasis on word problems. If you are going to take him be prepared for working your butt off.
I'm currently taking him and he is not a good teacher! He exaggerates on exams and doesnt give you partial credit on word problems like he says he will. He deducts points like crazy! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
Mr. Diaz is an okay teacher. He gives optional homework however, when it comes to tests he does NOT give partial credit for some problems like he says he will. Class moves quickly and he doesnt fully cover what always comes up on tests. You could for sure take someone better.
Mr. Diaz is great! I have never taken Trig before and was nervous but Mr. Diaz is very clear in his lectures and stops frequently to be sure everyone understands. Do the HW, his exams come from it and examples in lecture. If you need help go see him during office hours. He is more than happy to spend time with his students if they need it.
Took this teacher for both Math 135 and ENGR 110. Well honestly it was a bit of a difficult class. He does explain the material clearly. Though you gotta get the exams done in a small amount of time. I wasn't able to get the final finished, but had managed to get a C. I blame myself for not doing much of the homework and my long hiatus of no math.
Took him for both Math 135 and ENGR 110. Unlike my time in Math 135, I didn't have as much difficult time in ENGR. It is good to learn a lot about the different engineering careers. 80% grade depends on projects. Some are pretty fun such as the space capsule. The remaining 20% is based on quizzes, which only have 3 questions for you to answer.
Good teacher , polite, sarcastic and witty. Handsome!
Ughh so many things about this professor that do not make his class pleasurable. First of all, he is a confusing teacher, he moves way to fast and becomes irritated when you try to ask a question. Secondly, he is always sick and it makes matters worse. I would not advise taking Diaz unless you want to catch a cold or teach yourself the material.
I took professor Diaz for ENGR 110 and MATH 135 in the same semester and got an A in both. For Math, he gives you take home quizzes and doesnt assign any homeowrk...how awesome is that! Anyhow, to succeed in his classes, just study what he gives you, do recommended exercises, and For ENGR 110, do all projects according to rubric. Awesome Professor!
I had math70 he moved fast but that was nice because for me it was half review and half new he explains everything the first time so there is no need to ask a million questions.
Prof. Diaz is a really good teacher. He explains the concepts for you clearly and is very helpful during his office hours. If you want to get a good grade you have to do the recommended assignments. also had him for engr 110,he is very informative.
i took him for math70 and 102 i love how organized he is you always know what your up for and he was very helpful during office hours and really worked with me when i needed the extra help or to make something up the only thing is don't miss class because he does move fast but over all i would recommend this instructor i still use his notes
Great teacher! 4th time I've taken math 70 and he finally made it make sense! I'm going to take him again for all the math classes i need!
He is a great teacher!! He shows you everything you need to know, and breaks everything dowm to elemntary school techniqes. You just do the assigned material and will pass his tests. I will be taking him for 102 this next semester. Must take him if you arn't that good at math, but be prepared to do the work!
He was very clear in his instructions and explanations of material, and he's a really nice guy. I am horrible at math, and I even slightly enjoyed his class. He made the material easy to understand, he grades fairly, and he seems to have a true interest in students academic progress. I'm taking him again for 102 next semester.
Great overall teacher. Really knows how to prepare you for the tests. My interest level is low simply because its Math and I hate Math. And very suave might I add. Shows various ways to solve a problem.
Mr. Diaz lectures were extremely helpful and explicit. However I found his midterms to be very difficult and a little off track to the material being taught. I cant speak upon the final because I dropped his class about 3/4 into the semester. The homework is beneficial and not required to be turned in though it is key to passing the midterms
Professor Diaz was a very good instructor. He was always on time which is valuable to me. No assigned hw, just suggested work problems. If you do all the recommended work, there won't be any surprises on the midterms and final. Test questions are taken straight from lecture or hw. Hope to take Dr. Diaz again.
There was no required homework (only suggested problems from the textbook), no quizzes, no option for extra credit. Your grade is based SOLELY on the tests.
Professor Diaz was my first math teacher I took in college and he was very nice and helpful. His class was really easy to me. The homework was optional. But obviously if you want to pass his class you should probably do the exercises he gives. I passed his class and I would take him again if possible. Awesome Teacher!!! :)
professor Diaz is my favorite math teacher at avc! He was so clear and answered all questions happily. I did very well in his class because I took the time to do my hw! He only moves fast enough to cover all the material. Great teacher !!
Professor Diaz Is my favorite math teacher at Avc! He explained things so clearly! extremely knowledgable in his subject. And overall a nice guy.
The best math teacher at AVC. Yes, your grade is only the midterms, but if you do the homework, which is optional and doesn't affect your grade, you will know what to expect. I got a B, and I never took Trig in high school.
This teacher blew my mind! Homework is not mandatory but I strongly recommend you do it. He is clear and openly welcomes you during his office hours.
Professor Diaz is really smart and helpful but he expects you to know and understand the material before he even begins to teach it. If your not good at math I would not recommend that you take him because his grade is based on the inclass midterms.
Maybe it was just me, but when I looked at the test, it doesn't always look like the lessons.
Diaz doesn't require you to attend classes but you should. If you miss one lecture you will be lost for the rest of the semester. He moves really fast so you better be able to keep up or not scared to ask questions. He is very helpful when you go to his office hours. Grade is based solely on tests so don't take him if you have test anxiety.
Diaz is a good teacher, but he teaches how to do problems the long way which takes up a lot of time. I recommend asking how to do problems the faster way if you don't know how to do them already so you have enough time to finish the tests. Otherwise you stress out about time and get answers wrong. If you have test anxiety, do not take his class.
Straightforward guy he knows what he is doing if you don't want to take notes and listen then don't take the class. Grades are based on midterms super easy. They are same as the problems on the board and the non mandatory homework.
Diaz was a good math teacher who knows a lot about the subjects material. He doesn't make you memorize things unnecessarily, and he tries to make the material as understandable as possible. But unless you are a great test taker, this class is VERY hard to get a good grade. Your grade is based ENTIRELY ON 4 TEST! No homework, quizze, or extra cedit
Professor Diaz is a greater and wonderful teacher, he shows that he does care about his student. The way he teaches math is great but the thing that makes his class hard is that 100% of ur grades depend on tests, so unless u have the time to study then do take this class, but if ur looking for a easy A then look somewhere else .
Professor Diaz is one of the best professors I had. He is very helpful and his lectures are clear and interesting. He was a previous engineer with real world experience and teaches accordingly. He will not make you remember formulas but does give you tests which you need to study for sure. 4 tests class grade, no homework.
This professor was amazing! His lectures were crystal clear and if you had a question, he helped you and went over it again. Gave lots of examples, and made sure the class understood before he moved on to the next step. Gives recommended homework, but doesn't collect and only grade on tests, but i recommend doing the homework because it helps.
Entire grade based on 4 tests...
Professor Diaz is a great professor he definitely knew his stuff. He did the long version of the problem so it really helped you. But his test were really hard and specific and he wanted to see the work so even if you got the problem right but not the work you would get points taken away
I always understand math fully but not in his class. I passed the class but have no idea how. He grades very hard and you get marked down for every mistake you make. Homework is not mandatory so no credit for it. He is nice but I would not take him again.
Professor Diaz was by far the best math teacher I've ever had. His lectures are very clear and to the point. He doesn't go off on tangents and goes by a pretty strict schedule. The test questions come straight from the assignments that he recommends. He does not collect homework, but I highly recommend that you do the recommended assignments.
Does not give any credit on homework. Does not give quizzes. Hardest math class Ive taken.
Whole grade based on 4 tests, that's it...
The information isn't difficult to learn, but it's a lot of new information to learn in a new semester if you never took trig in high school. He only grades on four tests, no study guide, and he does give partial credit but his tests are by no means easy. We started the class completely full and by the end there was only fifteen students left.
Professsor Diaz is amazing. I have never received an A on a math exam, but in his class I finally did. There is a big difference between Profs. who know a subject well and Profs. who can actually TEACH. You WILL learn in his class. His lectures are perfectly clear, and he is always willing to help. Not an easy A at all but you wont regret his class
Roberto Diaz is the wrost math professor I have ever had. He's not inspirational, he don't care about his Student Success, he purposely make most of the math questions difficult on the test. Even when studying for long period of time, still didn't even get a passing grade.
He is a great teacher. Very clear and concise, which is definitely a plus in math. Homework is assigned but not counted towards grade, only the 4 tests count towards grade.
Dont take him he doesnt give homework which you would think is good but no. your whole test is based off of 3 test dont get a F on your transcript...
He's actually a really good teacher. He teaches all that's required. hw isnt mandatory but it is recommended. the tests are based on the hw questions + lecture notes so doing the hw would be helpful. overall, explains the lessons really great! definatley recommend him. would of gotten a better grade if i would of done the hw so tests would be easy
The best math professor/teacher I've had the pleasure of learning under in my entire schooling experience. Book is extremely necessary to pass. It's a test only class so study very hard for the tests (don't underestimate them!). I would highly recommend doing the hw. This class is all about studying. Study hard for the tests and you will pass easy.
No homework is required to be turned in but if you don't do it you'll get behind fast and he encourages you to not buy the book but to be able to access it somehow. Gruff deminer, but, he doesn't cuss, doesn't get distracted and he goes over the hard problems over and over again. Very good professor, just be ready to work hard.
His class is fairly hard, if you don't do the Homework you'll definitely won't pass the test. Since the test is based on the Homework, though the Homework isn't mandatory, it'll be harder if it's not done. I rec commend him, but make sure not to take too much classes, because his class takes time learning the new materials. Lots and lots of details
I took him for Math 70 & 102. If youre a shy person I recommend this Professor because you Literally dont have to talk to any body. Just come in ready to take notes and listen. He does assign homework but its not mandatory but I Do recommend doing it because the tests are based of the notes and hw. (FYI) Theres 3 exams and The final.
If youre bad at math dont take him. Your entire grade is based off of four tests. Even with the extra help and tutoring I got I still couldnt seem to do well on the tests. Hes not the worst but definitely would never take again. This teacher is not very involved at all.
I failed this class so bad, I am bad at math but he just made it even more confusing I always left his class with a headache. Your entire grade is based off of 4 of the hardest tests Ive ever taken in my life. Wish I wouldve taken another teacher for this subject
I loved this class. He made the material very easy to understand. He really cares about his students and takes a lot of time out of his schedule to help his students. Does assign homework but it is not mandatory or graded. I would recommend doing it because thats what the tests ( 3 midterms & a final) are based on. Overall a great instructor.
Kind of a hard class, he doesnt care if you attend one class a week but always do your homework even though he doesnt collect it. Study study study!!!
He is a relaxed teacher but isn't for anyone who struggles to understand math. His grading scale is straightforward. The tests are pretty hard. no open book or open note. although his explanations in class are clear and you can see the thought process. I feel this course and professor is more for students already familiar with the material.
Wouldnt take again just because I dont like how your grade is based on 3 midterms and a final. If you have test anxiety I do not recommend for you to take this professor. He does have office hours and is willing to help his students understand the material.
He does not grade the homework, and says you don't need the book, but the homework is in the book. So you should definitely get the book. If you're a busy person, i don't recommend his class. Looking for an easy A? Don't take his class. I had to do a lot of self teaching. Lectures go by fast. You must attend class or miss a lot of info. Good Luck.
Professor Diaz is a great teacher, his lectures are easy to follow and he always stops to make sure everyone is understanding it and he doesn't mind re-explaining things to make sure you got it. He doesn't grade homework but I would recommend doing it anyways. Your whole grade is off of 4 test and although he is a tough grader, he is very fair.
Professor Diaz is a great professor for someone who doesn't remember Algebra all too well. I went in straight from high school after finishing Calculus and did not recall a single thing from Algebra. One downside though, the only grades he counts are test grades. Had a homework grade been given, I would have passed. Do the homework for practice.
Professor Diaz is a great teacher, his lectures are easy to follow and he always stops to make sure everyone gets it and he doesn't mind re-explaining things to make sure you got it. He doesn't grade homework but I would recommend doing it anyways. Your whole grade is off of 4 test and although he is a tough grader, he is very fair. Choose wisely!
Absolutely terrible teacher. Entire grade is only based on four tests. The first test I took the class average was a 55%. He blamed the students for the low average. He also proceeded to not curve the grades. He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He should not be a teacher. He does not know how to properly get the information needed across.
Worst teacher I have ever taken. His goal was to cover the required material ASAP and hold the students accountable by saying "we didn't put in our 9 hrs a week," when the class average would be around 60% on tests. Grades are based off only 4 test and no curves, regardless if most fail. > half my class dropped. He really shouldn't be teaching.
Definitely would recommend against taking this teacher. Entire grading scale is based off four tests, including final, and states this method of grading has been proven to have the highest passing rate (according to his "statistical analysis") even though the first test scores came around with an average of 57%.
He doesn't want you to pass the test, he wants you to learn the material!!! Only great professors understand the difference
Its not a easy class
LISTEN AND TAKE MY ADVICE. If you want the easy way out, do NOT take this class, especially if youre bad at math. It is purely 100% exams. Hes a great teacher, but for anyone who struggles with math and just wants to get by: DONT GET HIM. If you have a passion for math and want to learn/like a challenge then go for it.
Professor Diaz is very lenient when it comes to attendance. He doesnt assign homework, but he highly recommends that students do it as practice for exams. His class is difficult, but if you put in the work inside and outside of class youll pass.
I LOVED Mr. Diaz! Every math class I've taken after his class couldn't even compare to his! He is very thorough and makes sure that you know the topic at hand. He provides many examples, and if you still need extra help, he doesn't hesitate to explain it even further. He made things very simple and was very good at keeping the class engaged!!
Roberto Diaz is the best math professor at AVC. He cares so much for his students, and genuinely wants you to succeed and understand the material. He teaches very in-depth, and makes sure the entire class is on the same page. Your grade is based only on tests and the final, but they aren't difficult if you pay attention and study. Great guy.
Professor Diaz is a great teacher, He cares about his students and actually wants you to pass and learn the material. Homework is not mandatory but the test are based off the homework and his lectures so i suggest to do it. He is very clear on the class from the jump, your grade is on 3 midterms and 1 final and there is no extra credit.
For an entry level math course I cannot imagine how many Stem students dropped out of college because of this class. He rushes through coursework so quickly that you barely have a chance to learn anything. If you think you did well on his tests, I promise you that you did not regardless of how much yoU studied/prepared. Would never take again.
Professor Diaz was not my favorite. He spoke to us as if we were lucky to have him in our presents. He constantly said, "I know this, I've been doing this for 15+ years". I failed because we had no homework and he didn't really go over it again, some of us haven't been in school for a few years so it took a lot to keep up with him and his notes.
he knows what he is talking about. However if you are not good at math I would not suggest taking this class his test are worth 70% of your grade. If you are good at math and are willing to do the work then this is a great teacher for you
I really appreciated Professor Diaz. He tried not to dumb down the material even though many students were not ready for that class. He stands his ground and doesn't lower his standards. I could have searched for a teacher that hands out easy A's but then I would get behind in math. I would rather put in the work and learn from a good teacher!
Doesn't grade homework. Graded on tests only. Most difficult class I've taken.
Professor Diaz is straightforward and clear from the very beginning of what it will take to be successful. You must show up for all the lectures and do your homework. The office hours are great because he times it, so if you are working to meet with him during your lunch break.
Prof. Diaz was so great! He taught me math in a way that my brain understands.
Egotistical professor. You'd expect to take the class for the subject you signed up for and not his constant boasting of his accolades. If he tested us on where he's worked and what degree he has, everyone would pass. Unfortunate reality is you get graded on four tests with 0 homework. Do not take his class if you need this class as a requisite.
He can be hard but it is expected from college courses. He doesn't grade hw and his quizzes/ test are literally examples from his lectures and are from the book. Even word for word, although you only have 1 hr for a test it is possible. Study and practice!
Real-world experienced engineer, contagiously enthusiastic, and hearty eagerness to teach. Grades themselves are barebones; notably, you have 3 exams worth 60% and a final with 25%; no HW. Nearly all questions are literally from the book itself, so there are no cheap shots or tricks here. Go to office hours and practice book problems a lot.
Very smart professor, knows how to teach well, but grading system sucks. You are graded off of 4 tests + final, which specifically is the hard problems from the homework. Homework itself is not worth any credit, but if you don't work on it 20hrs/week... You're screwed. If you want to be an engineer/math major TAKE HIM, anything else, please don't.
Difficult subject, compassionate professor. Don't miss days or you'll be greatly behind; homework is not graded, but the 4 exams (85% of your grade) are pretty much the same as the homework problems. Graded *fairly*, not *friendly*. Only real complaint is Engineer's Ego, *almost* seems he looks down on non-STEM jobs. Avoid if you are a plumber.
I absolutely loved the way he teaches; he definitely knew what he was talking about and wanted his students to be proficient in the subject. But this definitely ain't an easy A class. You need to put in effort 5x you would normally in a math class! Grade is based on 4 tests (basically). God Bless any soul taking his class. I would say, RUN AWAY!
Took him because I needed an online Trigonometry class. He is BRUTAL. He is great at translating information. You will learn, and he makes easy work of what might otherwise seem an incredibly difficult subject. But his grading system is ridiculous. Tests are hard and rarely have anything you have studied for. Find someone else. DON'T TAKE.
Difficult class but incredible professor. I've taken his class before and will 100% take again for higher math. He knows how to teach and does it well. Not an easy A but If you want to learn the material TAKE HIM. Very smart and very nice if you talk to him. Exams are tough but the questions are literally straight from the hw + lectures. Do hw!!
Unprofessional professor, he is very rude and claims we are lucky to even take his class because he is the only one that teaches the material right, for big tests he gives a short amount of time and i could barely reach half of the exam, if i knew how bad this course would turn out like, i would have prefered another teacher, never taking him again
Professor Diaz is a great professor for any STEM major looking to really understand the material. Yes, he is hard but your in college and if your a STEM major, you really need to know your stuff to get a good job. What do you expect? Challenge yourself and see what your potential is.
He lied about how many questions would be on the test. He said it would be 25 but it was 50 due to multiple parts. Expecting students to complete 50 math problems in an hour is unrealistic. The grading system is solely based on four tests (no HW). This setup makes it difficult to pass regardless of how much you study. Do not take this class.
Mr. Diaz is a very cool professor. He knows what he is talking about and concisely teaches the material. I like how he has office hours where you can ask questions. Mr. Diaz encourages you to learn more. For instance, I said I learned about Gauss Elimination and Cramer's rule. He told me, he teaches this in precalculus. Learning is good, he said.
Professor Diaz's MATH135 is no easy feat, but if you're willing to put in the effort, you'll gain a solid understanding of the material. The lectures can move quickly, so using resources like the textbook and apps like unstuck AI for study prep are key. Overall, a challenging yet rewarding class.
Unnecessarily hard, not encouraging, makes math painful. Tests were nuts especially for an online class. It was like 12 questions but each had 8-10 parts. A very tough grader as well, even if some answers are right it will be marked because it wasn't done his way. He thinks cause it's online people are cheating so he grades extra harsh. I wouldn't
He is a god teacher and a good guy. Other comments are just frustrated and are blaming the professor. He is good at teaching an if you pay attention and dedicate time then you should pass with an A. I am pretty decent at math though so take this with a grain of salt. Easy quizzes you have answers to if you take notes. 4 tests total your grade.
