Prof.Mancia is easy if you do your essays on time when he asks you to do it. He will explain you what your mistakes are. Mr. Mancia understands the "minorities" because he is a minority himself and english wasn't his first language. So he worked his way up

I took his class and I pretty much agree with the other 2 comments. It wasnt easy though, he isnt afraid to fail you if you deserve it. He was always nice and extremely helpful. And he remembers everyone's names. I reccommend him to anyone that has to take English.

Great teacher. Gives a lot of essays to write but it is all worth it. If you do not instigate you can do it. Always there and understands when you have problems. You'll learn a lot from him. I can write a college essay in my sleep now.

Reading is a must, doing homework is a must, and taking test is a must. He tells you what you should write, and you just have to come up with the paper. If you're ganna take him, it's better to be in Puente

It was an absolute pleasure being in his class. I took eng 21, 101, and 220 with him. THe class discussions were awesome, the topics were fun and he is very organized and clear on what the assignments are. The six week English course revived my desire to write essays. If you want to love your English class this is the professor to have although strict on deadlines he is flexible if he sees you are trying your best. Expects a lot from you as a student so be prepared to be pushed to your limit (this is a good thing)

Best English professor at the college, extremely helpful and provides tons of information in order to help complete assignments. Hands out multiple assignments but if one listens and focuses in class then it should be no problem. Overall the class is an easy A if you focus and turn things in on time.

I learned to read and write often in English 100 class. At first I thought it was complicated, but after I challenge myself to do Professor's Mancia's work I was proud to enjoy his class.

He is such a good professor :) The only thing was that he made me test out and I actually got into English 28. But overall, he is good. I did his assignments which were good and easy(Eng 21). Instructions were clear but the book was pricey. Re-selling. New. Wonderful man!He wont bore you.

The most important thing about him, is he wants you to learn. The discussions in class are great, with both views. There is a lot of essays, but each essay prepares you for the next.

The syllabus is very clear. He also has office hours which you can go to receive feedback on essays or research papers. His lectures are very good and he is up to date with novels. He emphasizes education is very important. Great professor!

Attending college for three years and never being able to sign up for English, finally this semester k decided to entoll on time and took Mancia because a friend of mine told me about him. I really loved his class, back in high school i used to read a lot, he encouraged me and all students to read and he said "Make your own path" thanks Mr Mancia!

I love when a professor lays out the class clearly for you. It makes it all easier. I really liked this class and the format. You do need to be engaged and do the work, but it was worth it. I really liked the materiel he chose for us.

I took Mancia for English 101 as summer class and this is one of the best classes I have taken. I hated english growing up but the class is engaging and is super interesting. Mancia is super polite, caring, and understanding. He is a responsible teacher and even attended online class when he had someone close pass away. Total respect for this man.

Be prepared to write and analyze at a *college level*. This professor has the course settings so that when you view your grades you can also view the median grade of everyone else in the class for assignments. I did well, but the median grades for each assignment were LOW... which is fair. The quality of writing I saw from my fellows was poor.

Professor Mancia is wonderful, caring, and is very straight forward. He really cares about each of his students, he makes sure that he pushes you to think critically since it is college level English. Every week in his announcements he would always giving us inspirational words and it really helped! Such a wonderful professor!

Professor Mancia is really good at what he does. I took English 101 Several times with different professors and I failed every time. English is not my favorite subject at all. Mr. Mancia helped me to be a confident writer, and motivated me to continue writing and take his Eng 103 class. Don't sleep on him, he will help you.

One of the best English Professors and will be taking him again for my future English classes. He cares a lot about students and is very understanding if you have something going on in life. It is super hard to fail his class that you'd have to do absolutely nothing to fail

He inspired me to become a better writer. I took an online class but he had weekly zoom meetings for students who had questions about the assignments. Gives good feedback on assignments and shows he cares about students. Assigns a five and ten pg essay for 103 class. Lots of work but he makes the class go smoothly. Professor Mancia is awesome. He does assign a lot of work though so be ready. He can be a tough grader on essays but he will always give good feedback. His goal for his students is to be able to analyze text, not summarize it. He improved my writing which I really appreciate and I learned so much. He explains his assignments very thoroughly.

professor manica, is one of the most dedicated professors I have ever met. he really tries hard to let the class understand the topic. he is also very reasonable and will help you out with homework. joining the Puente program with him and professor Munoz was one of the best decisions I could have made.

I took this class asynchronously. Professor Mancia made sure we were able to meet at least once a week despite being asynchronous. Super late to grade our work, but let us know so we could talk 1-1 to know where we stand. 6 essays in total, 3 timed, one 5-page, another 10 pages (continuation of the second essay). Read a novel, it was a good read.

Do not be afraid to ask Professor Mancia questions. Even though his class attendance was not mandatory i would still recommend joining in on the zoom classes so you can ask him questions. You can contact him at any time and he is quick to respond. After not taking classes for 7 years this was definitely a good class to return to. Highly Recommended

Professor Mancia is one of the most dedicated and caring professors I've ever taken. He's always there to help and he's ready to see his students succeed. His course and lectures are incredibly enriching and thought-provoking. If I could go back and take his class again I would do so in a heartbeat.

I took Mancia's fully online summer course for 5 weeks. We had an optional zoom meting once a week and about 3-4 assignments a week. The assignments are simple and Mancia is a light grader. Aside from the assignments there are a few essays, and Mancia explains them thoroughly and clearly. Very respectful and a nice person too. Highly recommend.

Roberto was a great teacher. Yes, he assigned a lot of work, but it was not hard. If you do all the work, you will easily pass his class. He genuinely cares about you and your grade. I would retake him if I needed to. HE ACCEPTS VERY LATE WORK. He is also extremely lenient towards assignments.
