Mrs.Bell is a great teacher. I attended her class during summer II. We read short stories and poems but none were boring. She makes sure she does anything possible for you to pass. If you have to take introduction to american literature, then she is the best professor to take.

This is a professor that truly cares about students.She makes it a point that you leave her class a better writer.She invests the time in you, if you reciprocate it.Her energy and interesting topics encourage you to think criticaly about the world around you.I love learning when i encouter teachers like this. She does as much as possible to help you pass the class. The discussions in class are very exciting and once in a while we might get out of subject but that is what makes class intresting. If you follow the syllabus and do the required reading, then there is no way to fail this class. If you have to take intr to american lit, then Bell is the best.

Mrs. Bell is an excellent professor. She is really dedicated to what she does. She takes the time to explain to her students what needs to be corrected in a paper. Mrs. Bell is anything but a mediocre teacher. If you want to become a better writer, then you should definitely take her class.

I dont recommend her, she expects you to understand literature in her level. She expects you to professional. If you are good in literature, take her, you will find out if you are as good as you think.

i dont like to write essays, but her essays were not that hard.however, she expects a lot from ur essays.she doesnt give good grades for poor essays :( ...the 1st month u gonna have a lot of work, but after ur 1st draft of the research paper everything is gonna slow down.i think thats good because u gonna have time 4 ur other classes

She offered tons of help. She was enthusiastic about class and tried to make it fun. One of the best profs I've had. Alot of assignments.

The professor's class was outstanding. She always made herself available for help, was clear on her instructions and teachings, organized, fair, and most importantly fun just to be around. Extreamly interactive with the students. What was awesome about her teaching style were the discussion group sessions and writing exercises.

I really enjoyed her course. English really doesn't interest me but this class sure. Mrs. Bell's method of teaching makes you want to do the work. She is a very sweet and funny lady. Participate in discussions and attend class regularly.

Great instructor! She makes every effort to help all of her students write clearly and coherently. Attendance is VERY important. She's always available outside of class times. I HIGHLY recommend her!

She is extreamly devoted to her work. She makes everything easy. Eventhought I am a poor writer i still got B's on my essays. Take her during long terms because on summers is hard, only 3 or 4 days to do a 5 pg essay. Other than that she is great. As longest you turn in all the homework and essays you can still pass the class easylly.

Take her if u love English (preferably if it's your major) You will learn SO much. But if you just want to breeze through, look for another teacher. Her class is hard and she's a hard grader. I didn't like that she takes 10 pts off ur paper when u dont have the outline & draft on the time she wants it. She does help you though, and you learn A LOT.

I have to admit I didn't connect with Bell at first, but throughout the year I stuck around and learned a lot & enjoyed her class. She is fairly easy if you want to learn and pass.If you're kinda laid back on your work it will be a hassle to go through.She is very helpful& helps you pass as longest you try hard to do well.She also uses MLA! Easier!

I recommend not taking her if you want to get an A. He essay's are a lot of work. I had to drop her class because I got to far behind. she is a good teacher but I recommend her if you want to be a English major!

she's a really nice lady but her class is very time consuming. some of her essays topics are hard to write about and she is a very picky grader. if your an english major then i recommend her. only used textbooks a few times.

Very professional, helpful and clear. Offers a lot of feedback, if requested and as circumstances allows it. Her class is not easy, but challenges and long-lasting great things aren´t as well. If you want to LEARN and push yourself beyond "easy" to become a good writer/sharpen your skills, take her and the reward will last longer than a semester.

I dropped her class recently but she is a very smart woman. She is very clever because she combines English with a life lesson. Her essays must be perfect and yes she's picky but her essays make you think deep about life and critical thinking. If you understand what she's really trying to teach you'll understand why she's so brilliant.

Great teacher! She made it a challenge and it wasn't easy but that's what a great teachers does. She gets you out your comfort zone!

Ms. Bell is strict, but fair. She gives opportunity to use help from online sources, the CLE, and during her conference time. If you turn in all your work, you will likely pass. People likely to have problems in her class are those not up to 12th grade writing. Don’t communicate with her using texting lingo. She won’t respond.

Has high expectations of each student. We are not in high school anymore. Offers lots of resources and is always available to proofread all your work as many times as you need. You can get an A in this class if you do all the work and see her for assistance. GREAT INSTRUCTOR, GREAT CLASS. I will definitely take her 1302 class.

Mrs. Bell is fantastic. Very personable and gives a lot of herself and her emotions to really connect with students. She makes the extra effort to really get to know each student and truly challenge them as individuals. Her class is not an easy A by any means, but you better believe that once you are finished, you will have learned so much!

I loved Mrs. Bell. Her class is not easy but am so glad I took it. Her essay's are easy to understand and the topics make for amazing arguments. If you area lazy and just expect to watch videos and do nothing, don't take her, but she will truly make you work for your grade. Mrs. Bell's class is definitely not easy, yet by the end of the semester you will find yourself knowing more about writing and how to approach an argument. She really pours her heart into her lectures and pushes everyone to do their best. She is always available for help and is very honest when she dislikes something. For an A, hard work is a must.

If you are going to college for easy grades then you're missing the point. In this class you will learn so much about writing and she is always available for feedback on essays. She will set you up for success it's up to the student if they take advantage of it. I would take this again because I honestly came out as a better writer

Mrs. Bell is probably the most humble and inspirational professor. Her class isn't easy but nothing in life is so get over it. If YOU give it your ALL you will succeed. She goes out of her way to make time for one on one revision appointments on papers and gives constructive criticism. If you wanna get by my merely doing any work do not take her.

Remember that this is college not HS anymore. Prof. Bell is an awesome teacher. She explains everything in detail and is always available after class hours to meet and offer support. She will check your rough draft until it is perfect. You can get an A in her class, all you have to do is work and ask for her guidance.

Took Mrs. Bell for 1301 and 1302 and would take any class she taught. She clearly loves her job and her students. She is very fair in her grading, she starts off easy with your grades, expects you to learn from her feedback, and then progressively grades accordingly. Reading of assigned books is mandatory. Lots of outside research, but worth it.

Mrs. Robin bell is an amazing teacher! I came from foreign country with only a little experience with Writing essays and the use of sentences and paragraphs. By the end of the semester I have learned allot about writing and the use of different techniques to a good story or report. Over all shes a very nice, funny, and approachable teacher.

Don't take this class if you don't enjoy a challenge. You'll explore a lot of philosophical questions in the assigned readings, asked for input/perspective, & write essays based on your interpretations. It's proven too much for many students (a lot of drops), but if you enjoy forums in which to discuss ideas/write about them, you'll love this class

Mrs. Bell is a great professor! She will give you 4 essays to do in class and 3 outside of class. Her class is very hard, as she is a tough grader. If you want a laid back professor, who isn't too picky, then take it with someone else. If not, the CLE and her office will be your new best friends!:) Take care! God bless you! Mrs. Bell is a good instructor. She gives out a lot of assignments and she does expect the very best from you. If you like a challenge and/or an English major than take her otherwise choose another professor who is not as challenging as she is.

She s perfect for English majors. She knows her stuff. She gives great feed back, so youll learn how exactly to improve yourself. Shes a challenge, but she has a great heart. If you take advantage and learn what she has to offer, youll get out of there honestly more intelligent in the subject. Be ready to work for your grade.

Mrs. Bell a good professor, plain and simple, but she does expect something from you. This is college, though, so thats kind of the point. Its supposed to be challenging. She was clear in her lectures and expectations, and she responded to all of my emails and always made time to review my papers in her office. Discussions were interesting, too.

My friend recommended I take this class, and I wasnt disappointed. First of all, the readings are super interesting, especially the book Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, and the papers werent that hard. If you go to her office, she will pre-grade your papers and tell you what grade you would get if you didnt make any further changes.

Not many people like to write essays and research papers, but if you want to read and write about some pretty interesting things, take her class. Among other things, we read two graphic novels, one of which was The Killing Joke, and there was no boring textbook. She lectures over what you need to know and gives you lots of examples.

She posts tons of examples in Blackboard and gives additional handouts in class--sample introductions, sample body paragraphs showing proper citation format and use of sources, plus a lot of other resources. You can basically work for whatever grade it is you are aiming for. Go to office hours and email her, and you should be fine.

She is a really tough grader. You MUST make an appointment with her in order to obtain a good grade. My biggest regret is never going to a meeting with her. Please, if you want an A or B, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

Its actually pretty hard to fail this class unless youre lazy and dont do the work. The way the grades are weighted, if you do all the homework and have good grades on those, you can basically pass with a C even if you make Ds on your papers. Mrs. Bell goes out of her way to help you, and she answers emails and Pronto messages really fast.

Mrs. Bell is one of the most amazing teachers. Her attitude is always positive and frequently has a smile on her face. You can tell she enjoys her job and she is willing to go far and beyond to help her students succeed. When the pandemic started, we had to finish the class online. At that time, she was even more helpful. I strongly recommend her!

Professor is incredibly helpful and responds to emails and messages quickly and her course content is entertaining. However if you're looking for an easy A, skip this one. The assignments are very focused on reading 20pg lecture notes every week along with random articles and there is a guaranteed quiz due every Tues by midnight over the material.

This was a really interesting course but it was not easy. The assignments are very specific and require effort. There are a lot of readings, weekly quizzes, discussions, and three major essays. The essays are a major part of the final grade and are not simple. Professor responds quickly and does a great job of encouraging participation.

Professor Bell was an awesome professor. I took a mini semester so there were 3 essays jammed into 5 weeks. She was clear on grading and responded almost immediately when I had questions. Definitely taking her again for ENGL 1302.

I took Robin Bells ENGL 1302 online. It was an amazing experience. She was attentive, fair, and fun. The reading material was brain food. Whenever there was papers due, she would give you actionable feedback. It definitely looked like she cared about her work and students. Im hyping this instructor, but I believe credit should be given where due.

Amazing teacher! Graded on effort, if you do all the work you are almost guaranteed to pass. Assignments consisted of 3 essays and preliminary work like outlines, peer reviews, and assessments of tutor reviews. Bell was readily available, genuinely concerned for her students & helps in any way possible. Time-consuming work load, but I recommend!

She is a great professor, but there is a lot of work to do in her class. You will be reading a lot and writing a lot of essays. Recommend being organized and up to date with your work since it does pile up and because she does not accept late work. Other than that she is really lovely and if you have any questions she will answer on time.

Great teacher, just lots of work especially if you have a full time job. Put forth effort and it will be no problem passing. Log in everyday as information is updated constantly as well as possible "easter eggs" added to posts for time, better grade, etc. Not a cakewalk, but an A is possible.
