Good professor, a little boring. Didn't NEED a book, everything we needed to read in class was online. If you do the papers exactly how she wants them done, you will have no problem in this class. She is nice but will call you out in front of the whole class if you did something wrong or didn't do something you should've! Easy pass!!
Attendance is key in this class, she even grades you for when you go and participate in class discussions. She also calls on you in class so be prepared, overall nice person and sometimes funny.
She is a great teacher! I took her for Literature after 1864.. The midterm is 10% the final is 15% and you have to write 3 papers 15%, 15% and 20% quizes are 10% and particpation is 15% she really is a great teacher, just read the stories and write the papers and you get an A+!
she does not explain how she wants the papers and then will take points off for not doing it right. She is also a hard grader so make sure you put time into your papers and ALWAYS read the assigned readings beofre class because she will call you out. And if you don't know it she will give you points off for that day. But overall shes alright
This class is based on the assigned readings and there are a lot of them. The papers that are assigned are on very vague topics but if you did the readings and participated in class you will do fine. Attendance in this class is mandatory but Prof. Fielder does a good job at making literature interesting.
I really enjoyed the teacher. She is really interested in what students have to say. Not a hard greader. It is really easy to pass IF YOU READ.. The questions are 2nd grade stuff if you read and you have to b/c you need to write 3 papers on the stories of your choice and the topic. She is a fair grader as long as u meet the min. requirement.
very nice teacher. you definitely need to read the assignments but none of them are hard at all. she will allow you to turn in late papers without a penalty, but she grades those whenever she feels like it. this was one of the easiest classes i have ever taken.
She is more than fair. Late papers are no points off. Know the readings before class, don't get called out. Good tactic is do class participation anyother way than disussin material if you're not prepared. Fillibuster straying conversation. The mid-term and final not hard if you just know the author, story, and whatever vague quote she throws at u.
She's a great professor, really easy to understand and I'm sure that she was really good looking when she was young because she still is.
She an overall fantastic teacher. I hate to read so i had a few problems with class discussions. If you attend class and do your homework there should be no reason to get anything less than a B in her class. She encourages you to work and she is always willing to help. Ps. She allows you to turn most assignments in via Email. I recommend her!!
By far one of the most hardest teachers i have taken, but as hard as she was she was great, you learn a lot. You will pass easily just have to do all of your work.
a wonderful teacher and one of the most enjoyable classes ive taken at pbcc! Im reading a book on literary theory and it makes alot sense thanks to her class. her tests are easy, her papers are not... I looked fowared to class disscussions.
AWESOME! This was my last class at PBCC and the best one I have taken. She is very knowledgable in the subject and she keeps it very interesting. she kept us to the very end every night but class went by very quick. Tests are easy, papers aren't to bad. She grades fairly and gives you every chance to pass. TAKE IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
very hands on approach style teaching. very easy class if you go to it. papers were hard but that's any English class
The content of the paper is more important than anything else.
She a Cool Teacher She calls on everyone so be ready for her and all i got to say is go to class cus missin 2 days and being tardy 2 will get you a lowered grade
3 thumbs up
Very difficult teacher. Papers are worth a lot. She likes to put students 'on the spot.' I have learned so much from her.. just not an enjoyable class.
Quality teacher! Cares about students, listens to what they say. She does call on everyone so be prepared. Take this class,do all of the work ,turn it in on time and you will leave the class a much better writer. There was one short presentation but it did not count for a lot toward grade. Final&Mid-term were in class timed essays.
I'm a shy person and at first hated the way she put you on the spot but it's really taught me to be proactive not only in school but in everyday life. A lot of papers but worth it.
Teacher loves to put students on the spot. Make sure you attend all classes. Everything she says in class is in the tests. Her essays are a little difficult but she's not that bad on grading.
If you attend every class, bring materials and pay attention -- she is an easy A, friendly and will help you in any way she can. If you don't want to do those things, take someone else. Being tardy/absent even once will effect your grade (not much, but it can add up). She teaches everything you need to know to get a good grade. Just pay attention!!
She is a good teacher but it is not an easy class. You will learn a lot and become a much better writer. She is helpful but yes, she does put students on the spot. Three 1 page papers, two 750 word papers, in class 600 word midterm paper, one 1000 word research paper and presentation, one grammar test, and in class paper for final. A lot of work.
She thinks of us as harvard students never ever take her if you wish to get a good grade .
Took comp 2. I'm one of those kids who writes well but hates doing it and she caught on at the first paper. Her assignments can get tough for some. Extremely helpful, and not by-the-book at all (which is good). Essay analyses are worth only 1% of your grade so don't stress too much. Has a hot bod and a sexy librarian look, too. Hahaha. TAKE HER!
I took contempory lit. in a 6 week term. Wrote 3 papers, 3 exams, and a presentation. About 40 pages of reading per class. MUST know material for exams and discussion. Funny woman, laid back, and enjoys teaching. If you're horrible at writing get better before you take her. Average class grade was a B-
I have always been interested in Language arts classes and she completely changed that. She does not teach, if you read her syllabus, you will still be confused All she wants is for us to argue with her when a question is presented she will toss it around for a while without giving a straight answer Do Not take this class. It is a waste of time.
She was a pretty good teacher. She does judge your writing and gives it what it deserves. She is a hard grader but her class was interesting. she gives out two essays, three responses, a in class essay midterm,a final essay including a presentation, and a 50 question final exam. Overall I liked the class but it does require work.
she is a great lady. Very friendly and nice and likes to have group discussions. The class is easy to pass as long as you do the work
She TEACHES the material !!!
Professor Fiedler's class was really interesting and fun. She has a sense of humor and really engages the class. I highly recommend taking her!
Awesome class, knows what she is talking about, starts awesome conversations. She can answer any question. You have 5 essays, but she will let you turn them in whenever but she will also grade them whenever! MUST TAKE.
She was honestly one of the best teachers I've had. What needed to be done was clear and specific. She always offered help too. Always keeps you up to date with your grades in the class as well. She has a great personaitly too! Definitley recommend her!!!
She may do it in the wrong way sometimes, but all she wants you to do is to become a better writer. It's basically MLA formatting that you must learn, so if you do know it, you'll have no problems.
really knows her stuff, give constructive criticism, read the stories and you're set for the semester. Ask lots of questions to keep her talking or if you have a real question she will answer it thoroughly. highly recommend
If you want to learn something, take her class. One of the best in what she does.
I thought Fiedler was a good professor. I have always been a good writer, so for me it was an easy A. However, if you struggle with writing, shes very helpful and does was she can to help out. I would definitely recommend taking her class.
AMAZING
Knows a lot about so many subjects, always interesting class discussions. Read the stories, take notes on what lines she talks most about and thats what will be on the exams. 3 exams and 3 papers, follow the outline and put some effort you'll be fine. great professor
This professor is great. She makes the class interesting enough where you don't fall asleep. She uses Turnitin.com, which i found to be very useful. The essays were fairly easy, and besides the essays, you get a few short passages to write a one page summary on which is not hard at all. All in all i would definitely take her for any class available
She is a great teacher! She actually taught the material. She wants you to do well and it is very hard to fail unless you don't show up or do the easy assignments, which include some summaries and essays.
This lady is DA BOMB DIGGITY! She's so chill and lenient with everything. Strict, but not too strict. Honestly, I thought this would be a boring class, but her liveliness and energy made it worth coming to every day! It's evident that she knows her stuff. It's Practically impossible to dislike her. I wish I could take her for every subject!!! =]
This is the most amazing teacher I have ever encountered at PBSC. I have nothing but good things to say about her. You will work very hard for an A but everything you learn in the process is so worth it. She genuinely wants you to excel and succeed in all areas of life. Wish she taught everything. Favorite prof. by far!!
Prof Fiedler knows her stuff, you need the book for her lectures, she takes off points if your absent and she graded out papers late. she is willing to help but does not do the work for you. She will ask questions about homework. 4-5 short essay, 2 long essay, a final exam and a presentation.
Had her for Spring 2014. Definitely helped me to become a better writer, I was never a great one. Professor Fiedler can be strict but she wants to see you excel in writing. Always do the homework and assignments and you will pass. She is funny and sarcastic so the class is not boring. Would take again. AMAZING!!!
I took her online. She isn't really that clear on what she wants you to do, and she doesn't grade the work until a few weeks later so if you have a similar assignment you'll mess up continually until she grades and you realize what you've been doing wrong but at that point it's too late.
This was an English Lab so there is a good amount of work but nothing that was incredibly difficult. Do your work and you should have a decent grade.
I think Prof. Fiedler was a great professor and I would differently recommend her. She teaches you both how to analyze literature effectively and what a college student should know about literature in general. She's very enthusiastic and does a good job of making things seem interesting and relevant. Don't buy the text book we didn't use it at all.
Professor Fiedler is a good teacher in which you will learn a lot. Unfortunately she is very condescending and makes students feel aphrehensive about asking questions. Additionally she is extremely liberal, and grades according to her political views. If you're conservative DO NOT take her class, she will grade you accordingly.
Very funny and outgoing but is a tough grader. She calls attendance throughout the class for students to answer her questions and thats how you get your attendance for the day. A 1,200 word paper along with a 1,500 word paper, midterm is an inclass essay and the final is 35 questions on MLA (open notes, and internet and its SUPER easy)
SLOW AND TOUGH GRADER. Midterm is a 650 in-class paper, and final is on MLA formatting. Finished the semester out with a 90%. No textbook but needs a program called grammarly ((dont forget to cancel the program after semesters over because it contines to renew will cancled))
She makes you work for the grades. Pushes you to your limits but you learn alot. Participation is super important and gets you major bonus points.
Prof. Fiedler is an exceptional professor! She truly focuses on developing her students' writing skills to its full potential in order to prepare them for future courses. Very sarcastic but if you play along with it, she's great. Attendance matters, no tests, easy final, always goes the extra mile to help u if u need help on ur assignments.
3 paper dues and increasing in length each time. Need a computer for this class because she allows you to use it for in class writing(250-300) about 6 of them. Tough grader. You have to do a presentation and only on Test which is the final(open book, open internet). Overall it was a lot of work, she gaves plenty of time to turn it in, she helps out!
She's okay, but she really doesn't give out A's. Essay topics are kind of confusing and not at all interesting. There's like 3 short essays, a midterm in class essay, and two long essays. She takes forever and a day to grade the papers and she will put you on the spot so if you're shy, don't take her.
Hands down the BEST professor! :D The grade you get, is the grade you earn. She will make you think and will ask you to answer questions, always be prepared to answer. Let's students explore their creativity and is always a positive motivator! She will make your time worth it! P.S. She adores talks Aristotle!! :)
I am an English Lit major and am bias towards this class as my expectations met to be directed in degree. This class is set up for you to pass but you have to show up. Every student is required to do a presentation on a literary piece as this cleverly prepares you for your research paper. Only 1 of 3 papers requires works cited. Awesome discussions
Definitely one of my favorite professors at PBSC. Super nice and has a great sense o humor. Get ready to participate in class and type a lot of papers! She is not an easy A professor but if you do your work and do well on the tests, you will be perfectly fine. I recommend her to all!!
Very knowledgeable. I enjoyed going to class. Class was always a discussion which is good for those who like to talk and if you like to listen... yeah awesome class. She is very helpful and is willing to work with you whatever problem you may have. You must read the assigned reading before class! She would get P.O when students came to class unprep
Professor Fielder was wonderful!!! I had her as an instructor for an online course. Her helpfulness, kindness, and responsiveness made it an enjoyable course and a great learning experience. She is also very knowledgeable and gives clear instructions with regards to her expectations! Definitely take a course with her.
Highly Recommended!!!
APA and MLA are what she stresses. Make sure to study and know how to cite your sources well and don't use words: THIS, THE, YOU or I, in your writing. Great Professor over all.
Best English professor I've had so far.
Professor Fiedler, is a good teacher she is only hard on her students to prepare them for the future. She has her moments where she jokes around with her students. She mostly focuses on MLA and APA formatting.
Really funny teacher. If you pay attention, her class is not hard to pass at all. Take notes, she will tell you flat out that what she just said will be a test question. She's super nice and if you need any help she'll gladly give it. I would totally take her again for other classes.
She doesn't care for you and your well being and will speak to you as if you're in the 1st grade :-)
Hands-down best professor at Palm Beach State College! Do not take her if you are not ready to work and learn how to write a good academic essay, she knows what she's doing and she will help you wherever she can to improve your writing. Professor Fielder class is relevant in today's world because she chooses topic that are interesting.
Textbook not required, but a laptop is. Easy workload. But you need to be responsible and organized. I have mixed feelings. I like that she constantly pushes us to improve our writing, but I HATE how condescending she is. She treats all of us like 6th graders who hate writing and have never used critical thinking skills before in our life.
Very productive criticism through grading, grading process takes FOREVER but ifshe fails to grade something, like a draft before the final paper's due date, she extends the deadline. Intriguing and engaging lectures w/ intelligent discussions make class worthwhile. I get excited to go and will drive the extra 45 mins for her ENC1102 at this campus.
Professor Fiedler is awesome! She is my favorite lit professor that I've ever had. If you participate in class discussions, do the reading, and study a bit- it's an easy A. She is a tough grader with writing, but very fair. She is extremely knowledgeable in literature. I would definitely recommend this class, or Professor Fiedler in general!
She was a great teacher. I took a 6 week course and she made all aspects of the class clear in what she expected. She's an expert in literature and is very passionate about it. She relates old stories to present time. She's a slightly tough grader when it comes to papers, but her tests are fair if you study. I highly recommend her for literature.
Fun class and at the same time you will gain a lot of confidence in your writing when done with her class. Prof. Fiedler is hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable about her subject. Highly recommend her class!
Took her in the summer (6-week course).
Professor Fiedler was honestly amazing! She's very understanding and helpful when it comes to anyone in the class and really works hard to give each and every student a chance to see how literature has shaped a great deal of our world today.
I love Prof Fiedler. I took her for my into to comp class and I'm going to take her for LIT1000 this semester. She's a tough but fir grader, and her lectures are on par with the curriculum. She lets you know what to do and how she wants things done and helped me greatly improve my writing for the better. Not an easy A, but helped me as a student.
A wonderful professor! Assignments are clearly explained, you will receive an A if you follow the rubric, and she answers questions/ concerns quickly. Overall, once again, A WONDERFUL PROFESSOR!
She is very good with feedback, really focuses on getting you prepared to write good papers. She wants things done right even if it takes 10 tries. Overall great teacher and very funny.
Professor Fiedler is an extraordinarily kind and caring professor that knows her subject that she teaches. The class is easy because all you have to do is three papers and one presentation that is a literary work that you have picked for the course. All the reading you have to do is the work that you have chosen to write your paper on for the class
Amazing! She definitely knows her subject &comes from a corporate background. She may come off to some people wrong which is what I think some of these reviews are talking about, but to be honest she really helps you for the real world, tough grader but again gives you multiple attempts on papers and assignments. Do what she expects& u will pass!
Shes great doesnt just give you the grade she makes you work for it but she is very helpful and resourceful one of my favorite classes
Takes a very long time to grade
I absolutely loved Professor Fiedler. I took her British Literature class and I just truly enjoyed her insight on the time period and material. She's hilarious, well spoken, and cares about the well being of her students. SHOW UP TO CLASS. One presentation, 3 papers, 3 tests. Got an A
Professor Fiedler knows her stuff and isn't afraid to call you out on the material you rsearched. She's funny and does care a lot about her students. She takes attendance seriously and will dock points if your late or leave class early. Took her for six weeks in the summer. We had a mid term, final, 3 essays and a project.
She is amazing!
Prof Fiedler is really nice but she grades exceedingly harshly. She gave me the lowest grade Ive ever received in an English class
Coming from a student that absolutely dreads the idea of an English or Literature class, I can honestly say that Professor Fiedler, is an excellent teacher. The way she constructs the curriculum for her classes actually make sense and she always helps her students out when they need help with their projects. all-in-all an excellent professor!
Professor Fiedler is awesome! I took her for LIT1000 and ENC1102. She is a tough grader, but she will make you a better writer. She gives great feedback and allows multiple attempts on papers. Its evident that she genuinely cares about her students. Shes very understanding and will offer help if you need it. I highly recommend taking her!
Professor Fielder is a great professor. She knows her stuff and will be more than happy to explain things to you in further detail if you need. 3 papers the whole semester. 2 short essays and 1 term paper. Mid term and final are detailed so study quotes and presentation notes. She allows you to use your electronic device in class to help take notes
Professor Fiedler truly does possess a passion for teaching and seeing that her students succeed. Her charisma created a stimulating enviroment where I desired to learn the material, take her honest criticism and use the critiques to better my writing. Her ENC1101 course is not difficult if you apply the skills and techniques she clearly lays out.
You'll love her if you're into literature. If you put the work in, you'll get the appropriate grade.
Professor Fielder is awesome. She has a passion for literature and is happy to answer any questions you may have. You are required to do a presentation, and 3 papers. Mid term and final are detailed so study quotes and presentation notes.
Honestly, professor Fiedler is a great professor. The class I was in would complain how she lectured a lot but personally that doesn't bother me. She gave a lot of opportunities to review your essays before receiving your permanent grade. I would definitely take her class again. As long as you show up and tried, you'll pass her class.
Ive had her 3 times shes super chill . All homework is turned in online, all classwork is posted online, Shes easy to pass literally just do her essays and your set . Theres no text book either .
she was a good teacher, she did her job and explained her readings and lessons well. She likes to be active and may ask you things randomly but she is okay!
Professor Fiedler was the best professor I have had so far. The professor has led me and my grades to success. She is very active in class and online. She does a phenomenal job at explaining her criteria and expectations for the essays.
She is a really good professor she cares about your writing. Professor Fielder gives you chance to fix your essays. If you want to learn and become a better writer take her.
One of the best professors I have had at UAB. She is so nice and very understanding. Easy to get into contact with if you have any issues or questions. Super down to earth and loves to talk about her family.
Professor Fielder cares about her students. She gives work that is necessary to pass her class. She makes you feel comfortable to be able to ask questions and participate without feeling judged. Her work isn't difficult if you pay attention and take her feedback.
She is a tough grader, but it is worth it.
Great professor for 1102, very energetic and helpful during lectures, and gave clear instructions on what she wanted for essays. On most assignments, she gives you a chance to submit a rough draft before having your final grade. Very slow on updating grades.
Great Professor
Professor is ok. She answers back efficiently with text messages. Also accept late assignments only the persuasive essay was more so difficult but homework is really essay and only two quizzes the overall semester.
Amazing professor. The homework assignments are self graded, which are really easy, there is only 2 essay to do in the course, a project, and the final. Every assignment is self explainable. She is always accessible outside of class and replies emails quickly. For ENC1102 this is the best professor.
I would recommend her class to anyone who wants to take ENC1101. Her class is easy just takes time and work. There is about 3 papers to write and the exam is not that hard if you study. She is very helpful and replies very quickly. She is super nice and just trying to make you the best college writer you can be!!
Every assignment she give you written feedback and she always encourages you to upgrade your assignments. To learn from mistakes and not just to better your grade. She was always available through text or email. If you needed help she would also make time to Zoom with you to give you more clarity. The lectures were filled with realistic experiences
There are 3 papers that make up the majority of your grade so it is imperative to complete those adequately. There are also weekly assignments online through a software called MacMillan. She explains what has to be completed for each week, but sometimes the workload can be stressful. You don't really learn much on the technical side of things.
I would 100% recommend this professor to anyone that is going to take an ENC course. I took her online class, and every lecture was clear. Her grading was very fair. I was going through a few things during the summer while I was taking her course, and she was very understanding and proceeded to let me turn in several late assignments.
Professor Fiedler is a great professor for ENC 1101. I took this as a dual enrollment credit, and she's my favorite English teacher. She gives good feedback, and she responds pretty fast when you email or text her. I only received a C because I got behind on some work and missed assignments. Go to paper drop-off for tutoring. It helps a lot!
This class is tough but not insanely impossible. She is a tough grader. The material is often times very confusing to understand and some content needs more elaboration. She is easily accessible outside of class which at least helps. I would prepare ahead of time and ask as many questions as possible so that you understand the material.
Fiedler is a great teacher. She responds to emails and is very caring. However, I had to withdraw from her class because she gives out so much work a week. I was failing badly even though I got an A+ in my ENC1101 course. If you're only taking 1-2 classes and want to learn writing, take this class. If you are full-time find an easier teacher.
Professor Fiedler is insane with all the lots of assignments she provides every week. If you work full time you will have to leave your job for part time, otherwise, you will not be able to make it. Her assigments are very tough to understand, she just copies from other schools and gives to you.
I took this class fully online and she made it very difficult because of the lack of consideration in all areas. She barely responds to emails asking her questions, she takes up until the due date of an assignment or even after the due date to grade it, which leaves me rushing to complete the next thing, and she just makes people feel dumb.
The professor tends to be late on grading, and even when she does grade it is harsh. For one of the essays iImet with the SLC tutor and took her feedback along with the professors, and I still received an 80 as a final grade. This class is hard, the due dates are not helpful, and her communication is poor.
This class is unnecessarily confusing. I don't think I learned anything new in this class. Her feedbacks make zero sense. Her due dates are confusing. 3 essays(u will have to submit each twice), weekly learning curves, 40 pages articles to annotate on, graded discussions, peer reviews, 2 final exams, video presentation...good luck :-)
Horrible classs, please stay away from this Professor. There are so many assignments to complete in a week, 5-6 per week, loooong essays, peer review, essays need to be submitted three times, it requires AT LEAST 4-5 hours daily to read and complete all your assignments, AT LEAST 15-20 per week IF you want to get a B-
I am a dual-enrollment student who took the summer course. Three simple essays are assigned, and you have 3 chances to improve your score on the first one and 2 chances on second essay and 1 on the last essay. There is no midterm, but there is a final exam that focuses on grammar, punctuation, and terms to avoid while writing.
This class will actually make you think and learn. Even the smartest of students cannot just coast. She is a tougher grader than I have ever had so far but she lets you resumbit after looking at feedback. A lot of work but it is college so cant complain. Take her if you want to use your brain! Took her for IDH but it wouldnt let me add that.
If you genuinely want to learn but do not want to attend lectures, I recommend this professor. She is a tough grader, but her feedback helps shape you into a better writer. I emailed Professor Fiedler when I was going through a tough time, and she was completely understanding. She also quickly responds when you have any questions about assignments.
DO NOT TAKE HER if you don't like spending hours working on the seven assignments per week she will give you sometimes. She gives unclear feedback, and assignments will be graded before the deadline, she will change them once you complete it but sometime she will text you about how you haven't done them before the deadline.
Amazing professor. Grades by a rubric she publicly uploads. My advice is to genuinely try. Professor Fiedler can tell a diligent essay from a lazy one. Because she makes time out of her day to help students, allows hw submissions to be revised x2 for a better grade and accommodates busy students by allowing late submissions, you shouldn't fail.
I took this class in spring 2021. This class is stressful. 2.5/4 of my class dropped cause of the rigorous expectations she has. She makes you a better writer but it is a lot for such a basic class. Unless you're majoring in smthn you need to be a good writer, I would not bother. 3 essays 1 presentation, 1 final exam on apa/mla (ur choice) rules.
She is the best professor I have ever had at pbsc! If you are genuinely interested in learning and becoming a better writer, take her class! I was in her honors express class for the summer, and the workload was intense, but I work two jobs and ended with an A. If you can handle homework take her class! Allows for corrections on everything!!
After reading these comments when I signed up for her class, I was nervous. However, this was an awesome class. If you do not like writing or researching skip her but if you like writing and will put in the work take her! Her workload is intense so if you are not willing to commit, do not take her. Gives great feedback.
Overall it's not terrible, there's just so much writing to do. It takes her about 2 weeks to grade assignments. I didnt really understand much of the assignments as the descriptions are just so bland.
This teacher adds assignments as the semester goes on. She deducts points based on people who kiss up to her. So if you want an A be a teacher's pet. Get ready to spend hours on papers and annotations.
she isn't a bad teacher, but for a college composition 2 class, she made it more difficult than it needed to be. There's a total of 3 essays that need more than 1000 words, plus 2 final exams, lots of homework to boost your grade a tiny bit, and a recorded 10 min presentation. probably the toughest grader i've ever had.
Their class is poorly done. You don't understand or learn anything at the end of the semester. Lots of homework, at least 4 per week. I wouldn't take it again, nor would I repeat it
For someone who loves writing, this class seemed harder than it needed to be. The pace was fast, I didn't learn anything. Heavy on the assignments and essays to where I needed an extension to finish. She grades very hard. Assignments were unclear. Honestly I wouldn't take Professor Fiedler again, not for me.
As others have stated, she is a very tough grader. Her class could be structured better, too; you will be waiting for assignments to be graded before you can continue working on other assignments. This only gives you a couple of days to write whole essays since she does not grade in an appropriate amount of time.
She was the worst professor I ever had. She is a very tough grader and no help at all. I do not recommend this class this class to no one.
Yeah no. This is the worst class I have taken in my whole college career. States she's easy to get in touch with, No. She asks for way too much in just one assignment and its harder than it should be. It needs a webcam/ lockdown browser for tests. Something about it gives me an unsettling feeling, knowing someone is watching me. I do not recommend!
The professor is a tough grader, but if you're willing to put in the work, you can learn a lot. The workload is intense, with multiple essays and assignments. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep.
She is a great professor because she gives you so many chances to improve yourself, plus she is a fun and caring person to be around! I highly recommend taking her if you want to improve your writing and want to have a fun time in a class required for your AA degree!
Regular professor
The actual assignments are not complicated, and, to be honest, there isn't much to do. You do a couple of discussion boards and assigned readings, and you have some essays due by the end of the semester (rough drafts have due dates throughout). But GOOD LORD. This woman might be the least organized and least helpful teacher I've ever had.
Great instructor! Very professional and encouraging, never talks down to students. Gives you all assignments upfront with no hidden due dates and no surprises. She is the best college professor I have had and I would 100% recommend her classes.
Professor Fiedler treats her students like family. It's clear that she loves teaching. What matters most to her is that we truly understand and retain the knowledge she shares with us. She gives us the opportunity to revise our papers after receiving her feedback, allowing for a second grading and a chance to improve our scores. Best teacher ever!
THE WORST TEACHER. I JUST BEGAN AND HAD TROUBLE SHOOTING MESSAGED HER ON TWO DIFFERENT OUTLETS NEVER GOT BACK TO ME THEN MESSAGES ME AND THREATENED TO DROP ME FOR NO PARTICIPATION (IT WAS AN INTO VIDEO NOT EVEN A TEST OR ESSAY!). I WISH I READ THE BAD REVIEWS BEFORE I TOOK THIS CLASS. THERE IS A CRAZY AMOUNT OF BUSY WORK.
She is very nice but very difficult to understand her class. There are two essays, maybe three, but they are so confusing. I have never had to write an essay arguing how reliable sources are before. She allowed me to catch up after some issues, but I was still very confused.
She makes this class wayyy harder than it needs to be, very heavy workload for a class that honestly doesn't justify it. The class is work upon work that genuinely could have been made into a couple assignments. Also, be aware that she requires you to share your screen and be on camera and post it for the entire class, I regret taking this class!
Her grading skills are questionable. In class, she would go off topic it was so boring that I stop coming the last 3-4 weeks. I would not recommend.
