She was very willing to help when emailing questions. Also in her syllabi she mentioned doing suggested problems that will resemble problems on tests and quizzes this was highly accurate. Her notes were very thorough and she conducted 4 hr study sessions prior to tests. This helped give everyone an opportunity to get help from the professor

Come on shes a great teachers she held a study session before each test for 4 hours and all the questions reviewed were similar to the test good teacher just put in the effort and you'll succeed.

Mrs.Flanagan is the BEST math teacher in the world. I don't think I would have pass Pre-Calculus if it wasn't for her because I hate math its not my strongest subject. She is very helpful and Have a study session before every test. I strongly recommend you to take her class!

Professor Flanagan was amazing. She was extremely helpful and she cares about her students. This was the second time I took this class, because the previous professor I had did not help me understand the material. She drops your lowest quiz grade, replaces your lowest test grade with your final exam grade (if it's better). I recommend her.

Professor Flanagan is really nice. She is hard at hearing but she can always catch what your trying to say. Extra credit on every test and or quiz. Shes reallt helpful and considerate when it comes to making up work. TAKE HER!!

Professor Flanagan was helpful and extremely nice. Sometimes she could be hard to understand when speaking, or may not understand what students say, but she made up for it by always answering questions to the best of her ability. Math textbook is needed as we did Homework straight from the book and got a grade for it.

Mrs. Flanagan is the best math professor ever. I took math103 one semester, failed with a F, re-took the class With Mrs. Flanagan as my professor, and got an A. Need I say more? Same class, same material, just a great professor. One last thing, she's not deaf. She just has somewhat of a hearing problem so she might ask you to speak up. No biggie.

One of the nicest professors at ODU. I had an A the whole semester. Only reason I got a B was because I didn't study for the final and I'm pretty limited with my math skillz. Long story short: if she's teaching the math class you're required to take, sign up for hers. She's SOO nice!

Professor Flanagan was the easiest math professor I've ever had. She's very helpful and if you go to her office hours she'll give you all of the information you need to pass an assignment. Extra credit towards final exam depending on how many days you miss, drops the two lowest quizzes and homework grades. I would definitely take her again

If you are required to take College Algebra at ODU, YOU NEED TO TAKE MRS. FLANAGAN!!!! I don't have enough characters to describe the amazingness of her. She is SO helpful during class and office hours. I took her based on the reviews on here and I do NOT regret it at all!!!!

Professor Flanagan is an extrodinary professor. It's been about ten years since I've had an algebra course and she broke down each step in an easy to learn way. She provides class notes, does practice problems, helps with homework, and gives you 12 pts extra credit automatically at the beginning of the semester. Take her if you can!!!

One of the best math teachers I've ever had! Her notes are well organized and detailed. If you use the notes to do homework and to study for test and quizzes, you're bound to pass. The homework she assigns are easy. If you are struggling she is very patient in going back over what you're not understanding. TAKE HER you won't regret!

Professor Flanagan is the best math teacher I have ever had. She explains everything clearly and provides help if you need it, even if you email her with the problem you have trouble with over the weekend. There are quizzes and tests. There isn't really any extra credit, but if you pay attention and take the help she provides, you'll be fine.

Gives notes and examples and TONS OF HOMEWORK but do it bc its an easy grade and lets you know where you stand. There are a lot of quizzes and tests as wells but also means more points for you to earn. She's always WILLING to help & wants everyone to get it

Very neat grading rubric. She only takes a certain X amount of quizzes out of the total. She also does grade replacement with the exam final. I wished that I attended the class more throughout the semester because she's just a fabulous lady who's willing to help anyone.

This class was very easy. She teaches the material in a way that is very easy to learn. She also gives out some extra credit, and some quizzes and homework assignment grades are dropped.

I loved Flanagan, she is a really easy and helpful professor. I am taking her again for Precalculus so hopefully she will make it just as easy, but she is understanding and knows algebra can be challenging and she tries to make it easy as possible. she does give out extra credit, drop lowest quiz grade, si and gives time for mymathlab homework

Mrs. Flanagan has been one of the sweetest professors that I've had in college so far- she made it a point to let students reach her outside of class. I have always struggled with math and she offered to meet with me every day until I understood, to give you an idea of her dedication. Definitely take math with her if you want a pleasant experience.

the class itself can get very heavy, but Flanagan tries her best to make it easier for you. honestly if i could i'd take every single math class with because she is so nice and patient and is more focused on if the class understands the material rather than just getting through the lecture Highly Recommend

Great professor. Do the homework, even the "extra" homework from the book and you will succeed in her class. She is very helpful, if you take the time, you will get the grade! She is accessible outside of class, you just have to make an effort. Will be taking her again for all my higher level maths (those that I can).

I am terrible at math and took her class this past summer. After having taken precalc multiple times before and pretty much being hopeless I had her class and actually ended up passing. Shes a very sweet woman, makes things simple for you to understand and makes sure you actually do understand it. She is a great professor, that I highly recommend.

Prof Flanagan is one of the nicest and caring math professors I've ever had. When she lectures she goes slow and makes sure everyone understands. We used MML for HW and had three tests and the final. She allowed extra credit by attending seminars and taking a selfie. She's accessible by text and office hours too. She's super sweet, definitely take!

Professor Flanagan was one of my favorite professors. She is a GREAT professor. She does everything step by step, like baby steps. She doesn't leave any student behind in her lectures. She also does course capture so if you miss class she posts her videos on blackboard. You don't need the textbook, just the access code. Overall, I recommend her 100%

I really enjoyed being in Mrs. Flanagan's class, she posts the lectures of her doing the sections online so that you can go back and watch them. Turn in homework, there isn't much graded except homework and tests. She does not require you to come to class, but obviously it would be recommended.

I highly suggest Professor Flanagan. This is my second semester in a row taking her and I am about to take her again for the third time. She is very caring. All of her notes are online, but she does take attendance. She gives study guides on what' exactly going to be on the test.

She's very good at explaining material and isn't intimidating in the slightest. She's flexible with homework and offers 12 points extra credit but you have to go to seminars for the ec. 1 seminar 2 ec points. She'll definitely help you out if you're not good at math.

So first off, this was my first math class in 6 years (I was in the Marines) and I had no idea how to even do long division at first because it has been so long. With Ms. Flanagan, she made me understand the concepts that were being taught. She is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. She cares and is easily accessible outside of class.

She is the best Math 103M teacher in my opinion. Her lectures are so helpful and understandable. Math homework is online, flexible, and you can retake the questions to get an easy 100%. Study guides are straight to the point. Everything is on blackboard, so you won't miss much if you skip class, but it's beneficial to attend every class.

Professor Flanagan is amazing, hands down. She puts the notes on BB for convenience and records the lectures. She gave 3 tests and a final, not hard at all. Took her for 103 and 162 and she is AMAZING! It's hard to find good teachers who can truly explain things and she has done just that. She is readily available and concerned about her students. I actually learned from her!

This class was very easy. She seems to care about her students and wants them to succeed. She does not teach that much to the whole class though. All of the work is through ALEKS and that is where you learn lessons, so she will sometimes do a supplemental lesson if it is something people are struggling with. She is very available to help though.

Such a good professor! She uses this online program in class to help with learning and I loved it. If you need help she is always available and ready to give it. Super nice and flexible! Test weren't too hard and she gives out an outline before of everything to be studied. Would take her again for any future math classes.

This class is ALEKS heavy, during class, you will do modules and she kinda lets you do your thing. That being said if you have any questions or are struggling, she is very friendly and happy to help you. This is the best I have done in math in a while and as long as you pay attention and utilize the ALEKS learning page you will do well.

This is probably the easiest math class Ive ever taken and its because of Professor Flanagan. As long as you take notes and do homework youll be fine, and the homework isnt too difficult at all. Tests also have bonus questions so theres opportunity to gain extra points. Just be prepared to get rid of your calculator because you cant use it.

Great professor, she is very accommodating and will help you if you need the help. This is a Aleks heavy class so you will complete most work within the Aleks platform. Study the test reviews for the test as they are better suited for the tests then aleks.

I am awful at math but needed this as a prerequisite. The work is done in ALEKS which I actually enjoy, but there is a powerpoint for each chapter which really breaks things down and helps you understand. The test are proctored which I dont love because its a hassle since im full time online but I get it.

ALEKS based course with some canvas quizzes. If you keep up and dedicate a decent amount of hours a week this class will be easy. Test preps are relevant and lectures are easy to understand. no extra credit but she is VERY reasonable with her grading. Would recommend this course.

I had to retake math103 with her because my first professor wasn't great, and she was so helpful! I loved her down, and highly recommend her.

Did a decent job in lectures, though there were technical issued when she missed class and had to record lessons. If you stay up to date on the homework and prepare a lot before tests and quizzes, you should be fine.

Mrs. Flannagan was absolutely wonderful to have as a professor. I had taken an Algebra course in the past and didn't really retain any of the information. When taking Prof. Flannagan's class, I truly started to understand the basics of Algebra- not just "remember this rule." If I could have her as a Professor again, I absolutely would!
