Dr. Hurst is a great professor and cares about her students. Her homework is daily for the most part, but it does not take long at all after you get in the hang of it. She gives lots of extra credit and always gives great feedback. Great teacher.

I ended the course with over 100%. No exams, no zoom meetings, and no text book. There are small assignments due daily M-F, but they are put up at the same time so you can do them all in one day. Extra credit is given on most of the assignments if Hurst likes your work. It's an easy A, but you learn a lot and Hurst is an amazing and flexible person

Dr. Hurst is the most amazing teacher I have ever had. I could talk about her all day long. I have learned SO much from her class. I have never seen her face but she almost feels like a second mother. She is extremely caring and generous. Her class is designed for you to learn and excel. Don't be afraid by the amount of work, it is very doable

Dr. Hurst is amazing. She has to be one of the most caring professors I have ever had. Her lessons are well thought out and assignments are all very well detailed on expectations. There is something due each day M-F, but she posts early and you can work ahead. If you work hard and show your knowledge, she'll excuse you from some of the work.

No exams or textbook which sounds easy at first but the Professor has a very ambiguous grading criteria which seems to change as their mind does. Will always find something wrong with your discussion posts and responses and could not care less if you learn anything.

She's a fantastic professor and the course structure is very engaging! You simply go through some resources (videos, articles, etc) before writing discussion posts or reflections every day. It takes barely any time and as long as you get interested in the subject, you'll do fine! She's also super sweet and personable in her comments back!

Dr. Hurst is your stereotypical entry level course instructor. She expects you to be as passionate as she is regarding the general principles of environmental biology. She also expects you to dedicate every ounce of your time and effort to her class. It is not an exaggeration to say that there was an assignment due every single day. Very Tedious.

Very caring and flexible professor. The class requires a bit of reading and writing daily assignments but it's easy to get into and is often more enjoyable than a typical lecture and quiz format. Don't worry about the course load, as long as you show thought in your writing, she will give points and quality feedback!

Do not take this online with Dr. Hurst. It is terrible. There is something due M-F. She grades extremely tough! The little quizzes you have to take make no sense. You have to teach yourself everything. There is tons of reading as well. I have taken several upper level science classes that are WAY easier than this!
