Great teacher! Will make you write a lot though but super interesting and really enjoys what she teaches. you'll watch some cool movies and have some thought provoking talks in class. Don't take if you don't like to write but if you don't mind writing, than take her. She's awesome.

Fantastic teacher! She breaks up the State required 3000 word paper into multiple smaller papers throughout the course - much easier! Very easy going lady and loves Beethoven! Very willing to discuss and entertain topics. Wants the students to enjoy learning and will modify the course accordingly.

She is an awesome teacher. She gives you notes to copy and follow, few videos. Made class interesting and is not a stuffy teacher. Overall made me really enjoy her class. Will find another class of hers to take.

This is an easy A. There is open book test and simple papers to write. You do learn a lot about art, humanities, and other stuff you never heard of. She knows her stuff. There's a lot of writing so be prepared.

She can be a little crazy at times, but she knows her stuff. I didn't even buy the textbook because her tests are directly from the powerpoint minus one or two questions. Go to every class and do the journals/writing assignments and you'll get an A for sure.

Her first Time teaching english 1101 and I think she did very well. Very smart and can be very funny at times. I highly recommend her.

So I picked her because of all the good comments here and I wanted to say they are dead on. She is smart, funny, interesting, my hand did hurt, lots of writing, kinda hard tests, but I loved the class. I'll be taking 20th with her in the fall for sure.

Knows how to make history interesting. Had no clue what humanities was going into it but the way she mixes art with history and stuff is so interesting you can't help but wanna know more. Trust me if you don't take massive notes the tests are a b*tch. But she wants you to get it, is crazy strict about going, plus she drops a bad test. Good teacher.

She's smart, makes class interesting & you learn A LOT... but yes there are a lot of notes which should be expected in any History/ Humanities class. 8 small, easy papers & 4 open note tests. Watched a few, amazing movies, the Pianist was my fave! Take her, she's great!

You need to attend class, and take really good notes, because all of the tests are straight from the notes, and she lets you use them. Have to write a few papers, but she grades easy. I would definitely recommend this professor !

AWESOME teacher. All you have to do is copy the Powerpoint notes and you will get an A. The writing requirements are split up throughout the semester so that they are easy enough to do the night before (lol). Nothing more than 500 words at a time. And half of those writing assignments are about MOVIES you watch in class. Very modern, down to earth.

Take a lot of notes, but every note taken in class can be used on the test. If you go to class, take notes and pay attention you'll have no problem getting an A.

Ms. Moorehead is AWESOME. I was dreadind taking my humanities requirement and after reading some reviews on here I decided to take her class. She keeps it really interesting and the 4 tests are all open note, AND she drops your lowest test grade. Just go to class, copy the power points verbatim, and you can't fail.

This professor is pretty cool, she offers a lot of writing assignments, but they are interesting (some easy some not). Open note tests, if you want an A write down points from the book. Would take her again, she is interesting and brings good points to class.

She is really interested in what she teaches, and it shows. Also, she has a sense of humor and makes lectures very animated. She lets you use notes (hand-written) on exams, and breaks the grade down into manageable assignments, making it easy to put the pieces together and keep track of your grade.

She is an awesome instructor. All notes you take in class are used on tests. There is homework. And as long as you come to class and take notes its a breeze. We watch interesting videos and write papers on them. It was so interesting and fun. I'm taking her again. Two thumbs up! Don't skip classes because of notes, you would be missing a lot.

Funny fun strict interesting intelligent great talks in the classroom - the test are not easy and huge, take notes, and if you want an A read the book too you'll pass the class if you go and turn in the work but to get an A you need to read and really know what she is talking about. She's a tough A, but so much fun! I'd take her again if I could.

Very nice and fun teacher. Take notes on all her power point slides, handwritten, not typed and then you can use the notes on the test! There are several writing assignments but that is because she makes each assignments small so you need to do several to meet the writing requirement, but they are easy and fun at the same time. Didn't think this teacher was so easy. She was nice. I agree with people who say she's interesting but not the ones who say easy. Her expectations are pretty high, like english class high. Most of papers got sucky grades cause I havn't had english in forever. Had fun in the class - hated the research papers and tests were hard even with notes. IMO

Two words - field trips! What professor takes students on a bus to Tampa to go study what they're talking about in class? We also took a big bus to a super fancy museum, don't remember where, about three hours away, it was AMAZING! She walked us around on guided tours and taught the REAL thing! And we had a picnic on the water. I LOVED this class!

Just finished 18/19th cent hum with this prof & taking her again in spr for 20/21st. Never knew humanities could be so interesting. She makes it not dry with her stories and little tidbits of trivia as she talks about it. I got a B in this class and plan on reading the book more and getting an A in the next. Absolutely loved her. You have to do all the assignments and be careful with your grammar in your writtings she takes off points. But she is easy to talk to loves what she does and makes everything as simple as possible only you can fail yourself in this class.

I was dreading taking a humanities course but Prof Moorehead made it fun! She was awesome! Makes things interesting with her fun personality and sense of humor. Very laid back, grades fairly. Use your syllabus as a guide throughout the course and you'll be fine. I actually learned a lot from her. Would definitely take her again, highly recommend!

She is always willing to help. We had no in-class assignments. All exams are essays written outside of class but the due dates are given from the very beginning so you can start working as soon as she starts going over the material in class. You can even bring your laptop and do some assignments as she lectures!

It wasn't a difficult course. She would put slides up and talk about them briefly, give assignments every other week and hand them back a week or so afterward. Very average class, not very fun. She really wants you to think she's cool and original. Just don't get up to go to the bathroom or leave early, she'll give you a disapproving look.

A very quirky and fun professor. There are quite a bit of assignments but all are easy. Class consists of one paper, 3-4 journal entries, 2 article-based quizzes, a final exam essay, and a project. Reading the text isn't mandatory. There are no tests on the material but notes are needed for the final. Two movies are played in class.

This professor was great I loved taking her class. She is really fun, takes her time to explain, and knows what she's talking about. Makes the class fun and you will learn believe it or not. The assignments are not difficult and tests are not hard either. Be prepare to write essays on tests. Last project required work but she appreciates the effort

Has a way of making you interested in what she's saying. Watch out for the papers, they take work. The journals require a LOT of research, be ready to spend hours on Google. The finale is a 10 page paper, but it basically writes itself. Follow the instructions, she explains the requirements really well, but if you don't follow them you won't pass.

For 18th and 19th century humanities she assigned 3 tests where you have to draw 5 pictures per test and write 2500 page essay for each one. For the most part that's the bulk of the assignments but it's very time consuming if you want a good grade. Definitely learned a lot though!

This is one of my favorite professors that I have taken at seminole state. She loves the subject she teaches and the tests are easy. The work is simple and its impossible to fail the class. She has so much fun with teaching her students and is just a delightful person. by the way her name is "Moorhead" not "Moorehead."

This professor is one of the best professors I have had the pleasure of taking at seminole state. She is a kind and absolutely wonderful professor that loves what she teaches and makes the most fun that she can out of the lectures. She is a very calming presents for those that are shy to new people and very easily approachable. Impossible to fail.

This prof is completely offline but grading process is very easy. She lectures in class but no notes or information memory is required. You basically watch movies and do perspective essays, but she doesn't even make you format the paper. Her grading is very easy and she's hilarious when she explains the timelines. Make sure you show up though!

Never liked humanities before taking her. Her lectures are hilarious and informative, you can tell she loves what she does & knows all about it. There are 3 illustration tests where you draw five paintings then write 500 words per drawing. Two film projects where you write notes & talk about it with the rest of the class. Final project super easy.

Be warned! She is going to make you draw. Alot! All of the tests are take one and require that you draw the art styles you are learning about and then write about them too. Not hard tests, but they are long and very time consuming. I did learn alot in the class and her lectures are interesting and funny. I can tell she loves it. I'd take her again.

Great professor. Acknowledged and respected that some students don't have an interest for humanities and just taking it for the required humanities credit. She grades based on the effort you put into your assignments, and if you put in a decent amount of work into the course you will get a good grade. Highly recommend taking her!

A great professor and easy to get along with. I took her in Fall 2017. She requires you to work for your grade. She gives an essay every week for homework based on what chapter you're studying and the final is an oral exam. If you're not a good writer I suggest you get better at it. You will learn a lot in her class but it won't be an easy A.

This class was good, but not great. If you like humanities it would probably be better. If you do all the assignments, you're guaranteed a good grade. Class is a little boring but you do learn some interesting things. I would probably save some time and take it 12 week instead of full term.

Prof M uses the textbook, art history and personal knowledge to make this class come to life. She is a an artist, be prepared to look and learn about a lot of pieces that correspond with era of study. Tested on working knowledge for midterm and final with writing and art assignment. A class I will enjoy forever, left a lasting impression on me.

Super fun class and pretty interesting lectures, it helps that she has a sense of humor. Graded on 3 big projects and that's it, this class made me feel like I was in pre-K again because all we did was color pictures.

I have never walked out of a class feeling like I absorbed as much information as I did in her class. It is a lot! But it never felt like too much. The way she breaks history down and relates it to art is just amazing. She isnt easy, and she definitely has high expectations, but I would take her again because she makes it interesting.

Took hybrid class. It was great. Only had to go to class every other week or so. Would take her again if I could. I enjoyed the live lectures. Rest of the work was easy and online. Doesnt take herself too serious and has fun in class. Never had hybrid before but wish more existed after taking this one.

I absolutely loved this Professor. She gives clear instruction on how she grades and her expectations. She grades fast, fair, and answers all your questions. The work wasn't bad as it consisted of watching a doc, reading, and database research. I would go out of my way to have her as my Professor again!

She is amazing. Took her in the summer so it was a 6 week class but she went out of her way to help me. You have to watch a documentary and do 2 paper a week which one of them has to have research from the database and there is a final project at the end. Time consuming but not hard.

I take most of my classes online at two different colleges and this was one of the best online classes I have had. I'm not even that interested in art but the way she sets the class up is super interesting. The work isn't hard, but it does take a lot of time - each week is a documentary, readings, research in the library database, and two papers.

Pros - super helpful and seems to really care, the work isn't hard, no tests, lets you pick what you study, interesting, I liked most of the documentaries we watched except the Victorian one, learned more than expected. Cons - Very time consuming, lots of reading and writing, lots of research that has to befrom databases, also very picky about MLA

Professor Moorhead was a great choice for Humanities. Please be aware that if you are taking her class, especially in A/B sessions, you have a lot of work cut out for you. It won't be easy to meet those deadlines but she's easily accessible, and always makes sure you know she's there if you need help!

I like that you know exactly what to expect with this lady. Once you have the hang of things in the class, it's basically the same thing each week with a new chapter. I also like that she doesn't like tests. And I can say I learned plenty in her class without them. There is alot of work each week though. Lots of writing.

2 assignments a week and one final exam PowerPoint with 40 slides. Honesty the class is not hard it is very time-consuming! You can procrastinate but I wouldn't recommend it. You don't really have to read the book or watch the doc just find a transcript of it online. No extra credit at all. Nice lady, Funny and bubbly announcements.

I strongly recommend taking Professor Moorhead for humanities! She's very fun, lighthearted, and very detailed within her instructions. Work is heavy - you'll have to do a research discussion post and chapter summary discussion post every week, with a 40 slide PowerPoint as the final. But she is there to help you along the way. Just take her class!

I LOVED her. She was super fun and passionate about the subject. A LOT of reading but once you do her assignments once or twice it's the same through out the WHOLE course so it's easy. No final exam but a pretty lengthy final project. I would take her again.

I have never felt so connected to an online professor before. Her personality shines bright in everything she does and you can tell she loves what she is doing, yes its a lot of writing and research and its going to take a chunk of time out of your week evry week, but she makes it interesting. I really do love Prof. Moorhead, it's just be prepared to do ALOT for this class. This online class has a heavy workload, but the engaging professor makes it worthwhile. Using Unstuck study alongside the textbook and documentaries helped me stay on top of the assignments. Definitely recommend for an interesting and manageable humanities credit.

All her assignments were easy, a lot of discussion posts and no quizzes! She gave a lot of good feedback and was on top of her communication. A lot of her assignments can be done in about 2 hours, depending the video time, but you can do your own research. Only uses textbook to get an example of what subject you choose to do.

Wow! This is literally the best professor I have ever had in college. She gives personal feedback to EVERY assignment and always easy to reach if you have a questions. There is a lot of reading and research for this class so be prepared for that. Otherwise, 10/10.

I felt like she was by my side the entire semester providing helpful feedback and information to help us succeed and she presented the assignments in a way that actually made me WANT to do them and enjoy the content! It's not. I would 100% recommend her. She does accept late work and gives you a whole week to complete two discussion posts.
