she does not care about students at all. It is a intro-level class, but the homework given from her was rediculous,15 pages long, taking ur more than an hour to finish it and theres so many trick questions. Bro, we are not only taking 1 class during the whole semester. are u kidding me? and randomly asking u to do questions during the class,

To be transparent, shes a charming Professor with solidly interesting lectures. Outside of this, she is THE toughest grader I have ever had. Its almost rude what kind of grades she gives out. Unless you really get on her good side( participation) she will grade you real tough and cant care to give feedback or explain why Just how it is she says

Tough but passionate prof. Lectures can be scattered, but the textbook and supplementary material are incredible. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for study prep. Not an easy A, but put in the work and you'll gain a lot.

CAUTION! Do not take this professor unless you want to feel stressed every single day and overwhelmed by the amount of work she assigns daily. Doesn't respond to emails but loves to send them at the weirdest hours of the day about work you need to complete doesn't care about what you have going on. Assigned a huge project with other homework!!

Assigns lengthy article(s) (PLURAL) with homework on it EVERY week and take off points if your responses aren't "to quality". Almost all articles are pure nonsense with more words than meaning. The most boring, most work-intensive course I've ever taken in college. Take if you like reading meaningless words.

Tbh, the class was not hard. It is very homework heavy with homework every week but it really shouldnt take you more than 30 mins an hour max. I didnt use the textbook all semester and still passed the exams given to us with a pretty good grade. She does cold call so if you dont like that she might not be the professor for you.

I had a disappointing experience in Robin class. I found it to be quite rude and dismissive towards students. Instead of fostering a supportive learning environment, it often came across as condescending and unapproachable. It made it difficult to engage in class discussions or seek help when needed.

She's super sweet. There's homework before every class but they're not hard. Very understanding if you communicate with her. If you don't do work you will fail, but if you do everything, pay attention, and participate sometimes you will pass easy! If you understand how to work an online class you will be fine, if not I wouldn't suggest it though.

She's nice, and the class is interesting if you pay attention. Homework is due before each class—mostly articles with questions embedded so straightforward. Participation is key; you don't need to contribute much, but it helps with grading leniency. Cameras must be on if yours is off or it's just ur forehead she's more likely to call on you.

Very work-heavy. You have to read multiple lengthy articles per week paired with the homework, which can range from simple multiple-choice questions to lengthy written responses. Lectures tend to drag and she often goes on lengthy tangents unrelated to the lecture. The class is a 1000-level course with the workload of a 300-level course.

Professor Root wants her students to succeed. She gives free extra credit at the end of the semester and replies to emails quickly. Homework and quizzes are based directly on the readings. If you put in the effort, you'll see results. She's great and always ties topics to real-life examples—she really knows her stuff.

Told us to not give her an honest review on RMP. You can assume the author of any reviews starting with "Professor Root..." is Robin herself. Very disorganized and yaps about personal matters that are irrelevant to the coursework. Unforch has tenure but do urself a favor and take this with another prof if possible. Avoid at all costs

Taking it on an online class, she honestly cares about if you're listening or not, she wants you to learn about the subject, she cold calls so be on guard and don't be obvious when looking at your phone, or else you will be cold called. If you can handle the lecture you will probably be chill. The midterms and finals weren't that bad.

Took this class Fall 2025 and the professor always wanted cameras on and always cold-called students to ask about articles and etc. Even if you stepped out for a minute, she would complain and sometimes mark you absent. I went to about 50% of her classes, never turned on camera, but didn't do too bad and got a B+ by doing all assignments, exams.

This professor was very harsh overall. I would not recommend her unless you just need credits. I would never take this professor again. Ever.
