To start off with, I had her Fall04. She's very young and has only been teaching a short while. She speaks VERY softly so you have to sit in the front to hear anything. She wasn't using any powerpoint or handoutsand and she bounced around in the book. Her test were mostly FILL IN THE BLANK! VERY HARD and spelling counts! She might be better now.

She isn't the most interesting lecturer, but she's very fair and she tested on exactly what she said she was testing on- which, unfortunately, can't be said for many teachers. Our tests were all multiple choice. There's also a drop grade, which was great for those who didn't do well on one.

She was very clear with how the clas was going to unfold. Her tests were a little bland with just multiple choice and they were somewhat tricky with the way they were worded. She dropped your worst quiz and test, so that was cool. I don't know why everyone said that she spoke softly, I guess they sat in the far back because I could hear her fine

Very nice, and good teacher, but was a little boring in lecture. She grades well, and gives good feedback, but took a while this semester to grade papers.

She is a very sweet lady, I loved her, she always helped me understand some difficult concepts, I've never been the best at understanding genetics, for those who are saying she is boring, it's not really her being boring, but glomeromycetes and protein kinase is not anything anyone loves to talk about, School can be boring, Overall, great teacher

I took her for Micro. She is very soft spoken I would sit in the front of the class, and sometimes she put me to sleep. However, outside of class if you study the material she gives you, you will do well. Make sure you ask questions about the review you need help on. She wants you to pass and do well. Communication and studying is very important.

This class is not easy. I took Micro & lab while in nursing school and it was pretty difficult. I suggest taking this class before entering nursing school. If you STUDY you will pass. I took the class online and never listened to her lectures, I studied her powerpoints mainly. All her tests are off of her PowerPoints. She's great about extra credit

I enjoyed Micro lab with Ludlum. It was fun. I missed just one class and regretted it later. I suggest not missing lab because you will be lost when finals come up. Each lab covers tests that you will be using to discover what type of bacteria (bacterial unknowns) you will have on your final. Oh, and the lab manual isn't necessary she has copies.

Don't take this, maybe she's not used to online classes. Has no lecture videos, she does have videos from another professor's lectures but the ppts are totally different from what's given in the modules. Tests are all over the place, test reviews don't help at all, the questions are soo specific. Essay Qs and Fill in blank, very monotone in lab.

I love Ludlum she gives good analogies to help you learn and lectures better than Knoebl for bio. The tests are challenging but thats just because of the subject material not her. Pay attention and you'll do alright.

I would not recommend Professor Ludlum for MCB. She does not answer emails - crucial emails which a response was needed from her to complete major deadlines. There is so much material to know for the exams and the questions on each exam are not clear cut. She is nice but not reliable.

She never responds to emails, offers no guidance, and grades tough. Her exams include multiple choice, fill in the blank, and essay questions. They are very difficult exams, expect to spend a lotttt of time studying for this class. A lot of people in my class dropped out after the first two exams. She also doesn't post her own lecture videos.

Her tests are so hard and have absolutely nothing to do with the homework. The homework assignments each take days to complete and have no value or help at all with the tests. She also last minute told us she had calculated our grades wrong so I went from passing with a 72 to failing with a 64. On the last day of class after everything was due.

I took this class as a prerequisite to getting into a health services program. Ludlum was never available, and never responded to emails or text messages for help. Her exams are on things well beyond the scope of the reading material and the PowerPoint. Her exams are geared more toward a graduate-level class. Over half the class failed the course.

Some modules have no lectures. An EXTREME amount of questions to answer on the test review for EACH chapter. The exams are extremely in depth and detailed and NOT what she says they will be. She tells you to use the exam review but the exam has much more on it than that. DOES NOT ANSWER EMAILS. Not available when needed. No feedback. Had to drop.

I loved having Prof Ludlum, she's very sweet and easy to reach via email for questions/feedback. She posts all of her slideshows ahead of time and, though she's pretty tough with grading, she gives easy-ish opportunities for extra credit. She's very knowledgeable about science, and all of the answers to the tests/homework are in her slideshows.

Ms. Robyn was an amazing lab instructor. If you put in the work you will do fine. The "unknowns" can get a little confusing at the end, but keep refreshing yourself on the material as the semester progresses and you will be fine. She also gives out review guides for the midterm and final which are pretty spot on.

She is very organized with a homework assignment, extra credit quizzes, and tests on each of the 4 units. I appreciate the examples and rants she uses in each lecture. Her energy towards what she teaches is inspiring. The test can be hard but if you study it shouldn't be a problem.
