She is very traditional who requires homework to be done...i liked her methods

She is a nice person, but if you do not keep up with her homework you get lost easily. Her final is worth 60% of your grade. So just keep up with the work and you should be fine.

Not only is her incessant giggling annoying, she's VERY unforgiving. She does not grade homework...just a few selected problems. If you do not do the problem EXACTLY as she would, she counts it wrong!!!

She's not bad at all. She goes step by step with each formula. She gives you self-test which are exactly like the test. Alot of homework though!!! But her class isn't hard at all!!!!

Im not sure what the fuss is about. Her laugh is a little anoying but she explains everything well, sometimes too much.If you pay attention and do the H.W it's easy. If you want an A handed to you go to Devry.

I liked her! she taught the material very well, was clear in explaining the concepts. The material is pretty hard, but she does a good job teaching. come to class, pay attention and DO THE HOMEWORK!

She was great at teaching. She always had three different approches to each concept and made time before or after class if you needed it. She does seem to suffer from low self esteem and she tries to bring the rest of the class with her. she is good

Made the material easy to understand. Explained the problems in clear steps. The notesheets were a little hard to read though.

i don't understand why people complain. She explains everything thoroughly and in a timely manner...review your notes and study guides and you will do just fine. Look aside her annoying laugh and arrogance and you will find a reasonable class

Very easy class...She explained the same thing over and over again on multiple days... She's very nice. Easy A if you half-way pay attention. (Also runs a few min. little late sometimes)

She's not as bad as everyone makes her sound. Goes over the same problem at least twice and answers questions. There is a lot of homework, but its a small factor in grading. Study the self test guides before the test and everyone should do pretty well. Gives two tests, counts the better of them.

You may hear about her annoying laugh but she is a great teacher. she explains everything very well, and makes time for after hours. She may give alot of homework, and yes you may say it stinks, but trust me it helps you learn. I got an A on the two tests. She only takes the best of two. Very Good!

She actually gives you handouts that shows all the work to the homework problems (no other prof would do that). She is a very smart professor. I never thought I would do so well in this class but the many homework problems that were assigned helped.

She's a good professor, and knows her material like all professors should. Anyways, if you have followed along with your previous math classes then this should be easy as well. As for homework, IT'S A LOT, BUT IT HELPS!

she drops one of your 2 exams, and counts the final 3rd exam for 60%. sounds really bad, but by the final you'll know exactly what she's looking for. she hands out billions of sheets that include her solutions to hw problems and test questions, so...just follow her examples and you'll do well.

Great Teacher. Really easy to learn from, doesn't make things to complicated. Lessons are easy to follow. She gives you the answers to the homework so its easy to learn on your own. She is always willing to help you outside of class. TAKE HER! She is a good prof. I got an A and was not good at math before that really. Just keep up with homework.

This was a great class. She takes the time to explain the problems step by step. She really wants you to get an A and is willing to stay after class or meet up with you until you understand everything. The tests are so-so, you need to study.

While this class is not a blow off class, its not too hard. She tries to scare you more than what is needed. It's not as hard as she tries to make you belive. Pay attention in class, do the review, and you will get at least a B.

basically..if you don't get an A you're a moron. first of all she explains EVERYTHING as if you never even took algebra..it's so easy. she's nice and yes she's quirky and her jokes are annoying, but she's nice and willing to help you out if you're lost. she goes through anything you ask for clearly writing everything out on the board.

Plager is definitely weird and a little freaky, but she is a great teacher. I hate math and was really worried about taking calc, but she explains everything really thoroughly, and I ended up doing pretty well. As long as you can deal with the awkwardness when she laughs at her own jokes, you'll be fine. I wish I had her for 126!

If you are struggling in math or it is not your strong subject she is a great teacher, she explains everything all the way down to 1+1=2. Don't be late or she will make you stand at the front. She is weird but it is an easy A and you will actually understand the subject better!

She is so helpful, take her if you struggle with math! Ok, she is a little weird but she gets cooler by the end of the quarter, I think she eases up. The material is not the easiest but I wish she taught 126 because I would take her again in a heartbeat! People on here make her sound bad, she is just awkward...but a great teacher!

kind of a lot of homework (which she gives you the answers to when she assigns it) but she's pretty helpful about explaining things although the class could be too slow paced cause she usually uses the entire hour to explain one problem

Amazing teacher. I highly recommend her if you struggle in math. I struggled, but she teaches it to make it easy. She is demanding, and assigns alot of homework (to which she gives the answers with the work for)but it only helps you to understand the material. Do not recomment if you work full time though. Her class requires lots of time

One of the best professors at Depaul. She does give alot of homework but if you do it, there's no way you get lower than a B on her final which counts for 60% of your grade. She's always willing to help and cares for her students.

She gives a lot of homework but it does help since she includes all her answers and shows how its done with every homework assigned. Her hand writing is pretty sloppy but after about a week I got used to it. She does laugh at her own jokes which aren't too funny but I got used to it. If your dedicated you will do good.

Don't care what anyone says, she was amazing. She gives you the answers and as long as you do the work (It's a lot of work), you're golden. She makes lame jokes, but she's a sweetheart.

A very solid teacher. She gives the answers to all the homework so as long as you can copy numbers you will succeed. Not always clear in her lectures, but makes up for it by giving step by step instructiongs for each problem on the homework. Test content is very predictable.

Class is not as bad as what people say. She gives a lot of homework but gives you all the answers, therefore the work is optional and you can get credit for copying her answers. As long as you know the basic concepts the tests are easy, and you take two and she picks the better of the two.

I wish I would have taken PLAGER first!!! I failed my first quarter of MAT 135 with another professor. Plager helped me actually understand the material. In the beginning of the quarter I thought exactly what everyone said about her: really hard and a horrible teacher. She does give ALOT of hw but she gives the answers to everything and homework is optional. If you do all the work you get extra points toward your final grade. She only gives a final and two tests, but takes the better of the two.

Before coming to this class I was terrified because I hadn't really studied calculus but this class was not hard at all. She assigns an extreme amount of homework but she gives you plenty of time to get it done. Her explanation of the material was very clear. I would recommend taking her class!

She was an interesting person. She makes the weirdest jokes and giggles at her own words ALL THE TIME. It's crucial to attend her class or you'll fall behind. Her policy with collecting homework at the midterm is nice. She's easy to get along with. And as long as you do your homework and keep up in class. it'll be fine.

Rochelle is a great calculus professor! I've had her for the last two quarters, and I'm very pleased with her teaching style and her exams. There is nothing on the exam that she does not go over in class. Don't miss class and you won't end up like the these unfortunate comments. PS I hate math and I pulled an A.

She is a sweet older lady who can barely walk and goes through lectures very slowly. She is kind of awkward and makes little comments that she thinks are funny but aren't. We ONLY use the book. We didn't have a good relationship but I learned what I needed to learn to get a good grade.
