He's tough, but he's fair. I would take his class again because I feel like I actually learned a lot.
This class was intense, but the Professor is very clear and precise with his requirements. He provides helpful feedback and is flexible with his students as long as they are truly trying to do well in his class. I appreciated his feedback and motivation.
He is a tough grader and a stickler for formatting (APA). The group project is "A GROUP PROJECT" and you will spend lots of time chatting with them on work. If you do not you are doing something wrong. He provides a lot of extra credit work so pay attention to your email and the announcements. This clas is not an easy "A" but you'll learn something
Professor Swartz sets a high standard for his students and actually wants you to succeed. Before beginning the class I was extremely frantic because I didn't know what to expect for my first marketing class. Thankfully, I had a faith based Professor who is fair and wants his students to learn about the foundation of marketing.
A really good class, be ready to work with your group the entire course so get to know them well!!!!
Good class. Hard but you have extra credit opportunities.
Gives ample time to do work. Grades tough but fair. Gives extra credit and other opportunities. Work hard and you will pass. Great professor.
I think that he very knowledgeable and understanding. I like the fact that he gave feed back on just about every assignment so you will know where you went wrong.
I like that he gave good feedback when it came to our discussion board so we know where we went wrong and how to correct the mistakes.
The class was very interesting, being that it was my first taking a class with and simulation. You will learn a lot and you will utilized this in the working world.
Professor Swartz was an amazing teacher. From the beginning of the class he states what is expected of you. He gives feedback on all of the assignments so you know what you did wrong. He even offers extra credit at the end of the term. If you stay on top of your homework you should pass the exams. And make sure you participate in the group work.
Professor Swartz is a tough grader but if you do the work and the extra credit you will be fine . Exams are easy but in the discussion board make sure you have 2 reference with your post .
Challenges students to be creative and responsible
This was a tough class, one of the harder ones I've had to take at FSCJ. Professor Swartz expects a lot out of his students. He is very clear of the expectations and there is no suprprises. If you do the reading, stay on top of your group project, and communicate you will do just fine. You will learn, this is not for someone looking for an easy A.
This is a great class! You will work hard be the class is set up so that you will success if you try.
Very good class first time every that I took a simulation. It was a good.
This was a tough class. Not an easy A but if you are here to learn this is a class for you.
This was a tough class, but he gives extra credit so an A is doable. You will have to work for it though. He created teams of about 6. Three of our members quit the class because at first it seems overwhelming, but I suggest sticking it out as long as you have a great team that supports each other. I could not have done as well without them.
This class is not that hard if you do the work.. this class is made for you succeed if you put forth the effort
As long as you stay up-to-date on your work and stay on top of your group project, you should pass easily. Do the work, get the grade.
Professor Swartz is a great professor. The class is based on PharmaSim and the class is divided into teams. It is mandatory that all work be submitted by the deadline and that you follow instructions. He leaves detailed information for each project and if you follow his instructions, you will do great!
Tough grader but as long as you heed his advice you'll be fine. Lot's of group work required. I would definitely take one of his classes again.
Very good teacher,
Professor Swartz was a great professor. He interacted with the class well and kept me updated with work-ons and how I improve on those areas to become stronger. I would advise you to take advantage of the extra credit assignments as a cushion. APA format is a must and it would be great to watch a Youtube video to get a complete understanding.
I really enjoyed this class. I am always weary of Group Projects but this was the first time that I felt a Professor took into consideration that team members may not always cooperate, therefore I felt I was not penalized for the work of others. Although a team project assignment, individual points were assessed for each student independently.
The course is heavily reliant upon group participation.
Professor gives a lot of good feedback. He wants you to give it your all, which meaning he wants you to succeed. I took him online. Make sure dbs are apa and make sure to cite at least 2 sources or he will deduct major points. Expect a lot of group work. Test are east, well to me. You have to have access code to do pharmasim. Great professor.
Professor Swartz is very clear on what is expected of the students and how grades will be given. A lot of work, but if you stay on top of it, it will not become overwhelming. Professor Swartz provides a lot of feedback on assignments, giving students the knowledge to put forth on later assignments. Team project worked on all throughout the course.
Professor Swart is a great teacher. This class is hard with a lot of team work involved. He gives very good feedback on your assignments and is very strict on providing credible references to support your opinions in the discussion boards. This class is not an easy and what effort you put into the class will refelct the grade you receive.
The expectations in this class are clear. Prof Swartz is very fair and responds quickly to questions. I learned alot in this class. Do the work and you will do well.
Great professor.
Prof. Swartz was very clear on his expectations and graded fairly. His feedback was prompt and detailed. I would definitely take him again.
Professor Swartz was an awesome teacher! He was very clear on what we needed to do in order to not only pass his class but also reach higher goals in his class that we may not have thought were attainable. He is always available and willing to work with students who want to succeed. I would highly recommend him, easy A if you the work.
Very engaging course where professor uses technology and ways to expand learning of the subject. I learned a lot and I would strongly recommend this professor to other students.
Professor Swartz is tough on Discussion Board, he is serious about in-line citing and marks off if it's not perfect. He's a tough grader all the way around but is very clear about the expectations. Group participation is a must (we had weekly calls) and online marketing simulation is a pain.
Very clear in requirements for the assignments and provides awesome feedback in a very timely manner. PharmaSim simulation very confusing in a 7 week class. Discussion board is very intense with requirement of APA format and cite 2 references in initial post. Reply to 2 in APA format and cite 1 reference for total of 20 points.
Get an early start, get with your group and plan weekly meetings for Pharmasim. Tons of work but extra points helps, don't slack.
At first he and the syllabus seem intimidating but, he will let you know where you can improve and offer great feedback each week.
tough grader, but generally has clear and concise directions on what he wants. one of the few online professors that makes you learn the material.
Prof Swartz is a great teacher. He's a tough grader but it's only because he wants to make sure you are learning. You will earn the grade you deserve. He puts in a lot of time to provide feedback that will help you improve if you listen to it. He truly cares about his students & their success. It is a lot of work so stay on track! Highly recommend!
First week was hard understating was exactly is expected in this class. Overall, he is a good professor and gives good feedback. It is a lot of work weekly and make sure you plan your assignments accordantly !
Prof. Swartz gave good and specific feedback on discussions & group homework. He set clear expectations for the course and if you do the work, on time, you'll be fine. Would take his class again.
Prof. responds quick to emails he's very tough with grading it's hard to get all points on any assignments. Some of the instructions has to be broken down or explained again. Great professor but content is a little tough.
When I first took a look at the syllabus I did not know how I was going to survive the course. What's great is he breaks it down barney style for what is due each week. If you have a question about something you will most likely get a response back that day or the next morning. Group project, but it totally works for this course. You will learntons
This class was very fast paced. The professor gives good feed back and offers extra credit.
Participation is a must! Knowing APA formatting is pertinent. Must pay attention to detail. Group project is going to be strict, but gives plenty of feedback. Discussion board is going to be strictly grade. You will work for your grade! Does provide extra credit
Great professor, truly cares about the education of each student. Decent amount of work, but he gives specific feedback on what to fix for next time. If you are looking for a class with minimal effort, this is not the class to take. A lot of group work every week and working together for Pharmasim is imperative to the class.
The professor was great! The class was definitely tough as far as workload and it took some getting used to. However, the professor provided feedback, and he responded to my emails and concerns quickly. I definitely learned a lot. In this course, you have to follow the rubric, instructions, and any hints he gives. If you do that you'll past.
Group Work: Constant PharmaSim Program: intimidating at first, you can do it! Discussion boards: CITE YOUR SOURCES CORRECTLY! He was very strict when it came to discussion boards. Test: Manageable Extra credit: Equals nearly a letter grade, DO IT! Professor: Active, provides plenty of feedback, seems to care about furthering your education.
This class is very interactive. I am not sure if there are other similar courses that are less (probably not). So that is just a big FYI, you HAVE to stay engaged with your group on a weekly if not daily basis. The professor is a tough grader, but he does give you many opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester (like this review!).
Make sure to read the SIM manual!
I learned a lot.
This class is not an easy A. You definitely have to put in the work. This is a group participation class and you have to communicate frequently. Professor Swartz gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. APA formatting is a must, so brush up on it. This class is difficult no matter what professor you take. Do the work and you will be fine.
There is a lot of work in this class in general. It is one of the most difficult classes I have taken, but this is College and to be expected. Know APA (as you should already) and put thought behind your work and you will do fine. This class is not an east A with any professor, so don't think you can just slide by. Your team depends on you heavily.
A tough course when you take it in the condensed version. Prof Swartz will not "give" you the grade but he makes a lot of extra credit opportunities available to make up for the tough assignments. He is solid
Get ready for a lot of work. It's not going to be easy, but you can earn a good grade. He also offers a lot of extra credit. If you want an easy A, not the class. If you want a class where you have to work for it, but an A is very achievable, this is it.
Professor Swartz is very up front and clear from the beginning of his expectations. Do not take this course if you are unable to provide college level work or are looking for an easy A. He uses a marketing simulation that was very realistic and a lot of fun. Team project during entire course. Really enjoyed this class and professor was fair.
Do the work and if you're lucky to get into a great group, you will do well.
Class is at a medium difficulty, just make sure to keep up with your group work.
Swartz is caring and really wants you to learn marketing. You will read every chapter of the book, in addition to the the slide shows for each mod. Slide shows have info for test that's not in book. Tests not typical. Questions are understanding v. vocab. U need bk. There is also a lot of group work. A test and discussion every mod. Lots of ex cr.
Overall, great class. I learned quite a bit. You MUST have the book, you MUST have a solid understanding of APA writing and citation structure. Everything you need to know to pass the class is given to you. He grades according to substance and effort, he grades quickly and usually responds to emails same day. Would definitely take again.
Good class overall. You will have to work for a good great, which he lets you know from the start. This isn't an intro to college class. Would take him again.
This professor is very clear and specific of what he expects from you and your work. If you do not follow his specified expectations and instructions, it will be very difficult to earn full credit for an assignment. Also, half of this class involves working with a group for a collective project.
This was probably one of the hardest courses I've taken in a while. There is a lot of work in this, but it helps you to think and make decisions. There is not time for slacking off. The professor is very involved and provides excellent feedback. Put in the time and focus and you will do fine.
Great teacher that actually wants to teach & give feedback to students. He always answered my questions with great detail, which is rare for FSCJ. If you volunteer to be a leader, be prepared to do everything yourself, regardless of the promise to be graded individually. Not worth the extra credit points. Complete the other extra credit instead!
Be prepared to do some work in this class. You can get an A but you have to work for it. He gives tons of extra credit so take advantage because alot of professors do not offer it. He does give feedback and holds you accountable for all work submitted. Also a lot of group work so stay on top of it, but it is a class that you can pass!
Make sure you purchase a book and read the syllabus to meet all his deadlines. And read the professor feedback because he will give your feedback. Another big part of your grade is multiple group projects. Now that depends on your classmate in your group. All in all a GREAT class but you will have a ALOT of work.
Marketing for managers was tough as far as workload. Professor Swartz was clear in what he expected from students, and he provided great feedback on all assignments in a timely matter. He offers extra credit, and if you have a legit reason for not being able to complete an assignment on time, he will work with you. I definitely learned a lot.
Excellent Professor! He was a tough grader and there was a lot of work required but I learned a lot. He also provides plenty of extra credit opportunities to make up for his tough grading. Surprisingly the exams were the easiest part of this class. The only thing I must warn is the groups are a gamble and there are a lot of slackers.
This is a tough class and requires a lot of time but you will learn a lot. It is not an easy by any means but an A is doable. A lot of team work, so be prepared to communicate often. Also depends on your team and how dedicated everyone else is. Believe it or not I think the Discussion boards was what I least enjoyed due to the strict grading.
So this means Group Project that will needed to be worked on every week. Participation matters alot. Your group will make you or break you. This class is easy unless you do not do the work and be a team player. The last week of class was kind of jammed pack but not had to do.
Prof. Swarts clearly lists out everything his is expecting from the assignments. Just follow the instructions, use correct sources and format and you are set. He gives great feedback when it is needed.
Professor Swartz is an excellent professor. I would not classify his class as hard, but you will need to work for your grade. He sets reasonable standards to follow as this is a college course and expects your work to reflect that. If you do not receive an A in this class then you did not put in the minimal effort required. You will not regret
It was a hard class for me, but all around I learned a lot from the class.
The Principles of Marketing was a great class. Professor Swartz was a hard grader, but if you follow the instructions you will have no problems.
Great teacher, responds actively, is always there to help. Most importantly, he will provide you with what you need to improve on, allowing you to grow. He does grant extra credit, so there is a big plus. Overall, good experience.
This online class has more work than most, but I got more out of this class than most. Prof Swartz gives clear instructions and as long as you follow them, you'll be ok. Team project, but you get graded for your work and not penalized for someone else not doing theirs. If you want a marketing career, this is the professor you need to take.
Prof Swartz is probably the best online professor I've had. He genuinely cares about his students. He posts weekly announcements to give feedback on the week before assignments and tries to make everything very clear, and if its not, he is great at answering his emails! He makes you work for it but its worth it!
I felt comfortable reaching out to this teacher. Provide feed back to make you a better student
Professor Swartz is a good teacher. He understands marketing very well. The 7 week course is challenging. If you work full time, have a family, and other courses, I don't recommend taking the 7 week online course. Professor Swartz will give good and timely feedback to help you understand the material better.
He makes the class harder than it should be. All of the discussion boards require specific APA format with two cited sources in main and response posts. There is a huge group project and it is very confusing. He sends tons of emails that are very extensive. He is specific & requires a lot of work & time. Nice guy though.
I appreciate his structured course and feedback. Although this courses online capability was a learning curve for me, I enjoyed the responsibility I was given to complete what assignments were asked. This was a great introduction back into school and I am pleased it started with Professor Swartz.
This course is probably the most difficult out of all the online classes i've taken so far.
Good class and the in depth weekly discussion and participation is a good gauge of where you stand compared to your peers and professor.
He grades fair, he gives constructive feed back but you have to participate everyday even though its an online class. you will not be able to work on your own paste really he wants you to check in at least once a day.
Professor Swartz is a hands on professor, which is rare for an online course. I wouldn't say the course is "hard", rather you are expected to provide college-level material. Would definitely take one of his courses again.
Great class and course. Professor is by the book, as long as you comply with instruction you will be fine.
Professor Swartz is really by the book. He gives good feedback on your assignments. Big on APA format. Do not get behind. Stay on top of your assignments and you will pass.
The only thing I didn't like is that the discussion boards required at least two sources. Whit just add a little added work when just giving your opinion
This class is a bit tough, but the class overall isn't that bad once you know what you are doing.
This class takes work, But if you put your mind to it then you can do it.
Prof. Swartz is a great teacher! You get out of this class what you put in. There is a lot of material to cover in a 7wk span so be prepared to work for your grade. He can be a tough grader but only because he is preparing you for real world scenarios. I would take him again.
Professor Swartz has high standards and grades difficult. He is very big on your formatting for papers and correct citation which is expected in a college course. He can come off as a bit abrasive but he means well. make sure you buy the book the questions for the test will directly reflect your reading. The class was tuff but I would take again.
Great prof!
He is a good professor, always willing to give feedbacks and he caring about the students levels.
Professor Swartz is a hard but fair grader, however, if you read the assigned chapters, you will be ok. Also, he gives good feedback in a timely manner when emailed.
Quizzes a really different from book material but overall good experience with class. Responds in a timely manner.
Professor Swartz was quick to reply to emails and gave some extra credit. His expectations are high but are clearly defined and he sends plenty of reminders. Do the work and you'll pass no problem.
fair grader, fair work, and overall a good class to take. online course is generally straight forward if you study the text and online resources that are made available
He is a good professor. I had some problems with getting some of my work done on time but he worked with me .
This class is greatly beneficial if you actually put effort. It is pretty difficult to pass this class with minimal participation. The PharmaSim simulation was a little scary at first but if you use the trial period at the beginning of the course it will be helpful for when you are actually playing. Do any extra credit he offers, it helps !
The professor is really helpful. He is a hard grader, but he gave a lot of extra credit.
All group projects. Grading is strict on Discussion Boards.
This course is wonderful. The professor explain clearly the grading criteria. Furthermore, he is willing to help and he is willing to provide good feedback of the homework.
The class was hard, you have to work hard and do the work. Its ran mostly by simulation in a group, theres alot to do. 8 discussions which are mandatory! His test he gives you two tries which was nice. Also, he does give a few extra credit which is also nice.
I took his 7 week online course so my perception may be a bit skewed. That being said, there is a lot to do in the class and he is thorough and punctual on due dates. If you cannot meet the midnight deadline for every assignment DON'T take this class. If you can handle that basic college function you will do great.
Great Professor. Feedback and posts are tailored to his current class - so make sure to read the announcements. Meet the requirements of DB posts or suffer 50% off your DB grade (must post initial DB by Friday night). Sink or swim class so if you don't plan on doing the work, don't plan on passing either.
He's very tough and picky when it comes to grading, he sets high expectations and is fair and consistent. He's the professor you love to hate.
For me he took the fun out of discussion questions. You are not allowed to answer with an opinion; only with proven fact. He grades very hard and makes you earn every point that you get. You cannot sleep on this man. You have to get in and go hard with all your work. EVERY point, and I do mean EVERY, will be earned; not given!
He's a great guy with high expectations. The nature of the class required loads of group projects, which made it difficult, but he was very helpful in providing feedback and recommendations.
He is a very strict grader, but his expectations are provided. Make sure anything you write is in APA format with citations.
Excellent feedback, very tough but pushes you to be better. I have to say my APA style has exponentially improved through this course and my marketing knowledge has expanded as a result of the work put into this class.
Make sure you are familiar with APA. He is a tough grader but offer A LOT of extra credit! He will not give you extra credit if you do not make an attempt at each assignment. I am a Finance major and there is a lot of writing. Was not the easiest class for me.
He is a tough grader but gives good, detailed feedback to help you do better. MUST participate in group project as it is a huge part of your grade. its not hard, just participate. Discussions arent bad but he is strict on APA format and references. Id take him again! oh and there's extra credit!
If you are looking for an easy A you will not find it here. It was a nice change of pace to be challenged. While he was a TOUGH grader and a stickler for APA he gives good feedback. If you actually want to do marketing this is the class to take.
Overall great class. He took the fun out of the discussion questions. They were frustrating and boring. I would not take his course again only because I enjoy the discussion questions and he made them painfully frustrating.
His sallybus is very detailed including what he expects of individual, group project assignments submissions and discussion posts. He is a tough grader but provides GREAT feedback in order to improve in future assignments - take advantage of this in order to not lose points again! Need to be familiar with APA format. Extra credit is offered.
Tough greater but will provide good feedback. Group project and Pharmasim Simulation are a big part of your grade. APA format is a must know. You have to earn your grade, it's not an easy 'A' class. Extra credit is offered.
At first I thought this class was going to be tough but as long as you follow the syllabus you will be okay. You MUST cite everything but it's not too bad. Team assignments were okay if you get into the right group. Professor Swartz does give good feedback and grades in a timely manner. You will work for a good grade.
Must work well with your team or you won't pass. Tests are extremely detailed. You HAVE to read the text for the exams. Utilize the practice time he gives you at the beginning of the course. PharmaSim can be really confusing so practice while you can.
The class is tough, but in a good way. I really grew through the use of the PharmaSim program and Professor Swartz's tough grading. He has high standards but provides great feedback and opportunities to improve. He is respectful and always available for assistance. I would absolutely recommend this class if you have a desire to learn and grow!
I have taken a lot of courses at FSCJ and almost always the professors can be impossible to get a hold of or very arbitrary in what they take points off for. While a difficult course, I was always able to get through it on my own though it was a real comfort to know the professor would always be quick to respond.
This is an upper level class and knowing how to type an APA style paper is expected. The professor is a tough grader, but seems to be very fair across the board. He is very knowledgable and gives great feedback. Expect to work for your grade. If I could do this over again, I would take a face-to-face class as the work load online is pretty heavy.
Make sure you follow along in this class. There is lots of work but after its over you will feel so accomplished! I took the six week course and it was very difficult. Definitely try and take the full course if you can.
Professor Swartz is a tough grader but gives detailed feedback on how to improve your work. This class is an upper level class so he expects your work to be the same You will work with your group on the assignments through out term& class Discussion boards are not optional! One of the harder professors I've had but I have learned a lot in the class
Very nice professor. He is a hard grader but he offers extra credit at the end of the semester which is always nice. There is group project due at the end of the semester but we did weekly group assignments for the project which he gave us feedback to improve our work before we submitted the final paper.
Feedback from prof. was timely but was a one-way street, & he doesn't participate in discussions or handle being challenged very well, IME. PharmaSim was interesting; unfortunately if you're not on a top team it can significantly impact your overall grade. Could be a fun course if hybrid/classroom format.
I would not take this course online or with this professor. If you have other classes, don't take this course because this needed an enormous amount of attention and a overly amount of time to pass. I don't see him as caring at all, he is very arrogant and one sided. He has group projects, but everyone receives a different grade. A lot of reading.
Prof Stewart is very verbose on his expectations in his class. As opposed to direct feedback he provides in a group setting and does not hone in on one student in particular. Some of the feedback is lengthy and can become cumbersome to take in when you're living a busy life and need to get in and get the job done. However, the feedback is good.
APA style everything... Even Discussions
For me the class needed to be more clear and concise with the instructions given especially when 20% of your final grade is based on a group project. I would not recommend taking this class during a 7wk session and online do to the amount of assigned work and the grading criteria. I understand the concept the method is interesting to say the least.
This class should NEVER be a 7 week course, there is too much work for a short amount of time
Communicated well and was very clear in what he expected, but is extremely tough on grading. He is a stickler on APA format.
This is a seven-week class, so expect lots of writing and assignments. He is hard on APA writing format and hard grader. Prof. Swartz has a different technique of teachings compare to the rest of the professors I have had.
As an online class, I would not recommend this professor at all and was frankly surprised to see the high score he has on this site. He is often condescending and the tone of voice he uses for assignments just makes it seem like he's trying to catch students messing up. I did not find him to be an understanding teacher and would not take him again.
This professor was clear in his announcements and grading but had the dates mixed up a few times.
He is a very understanding teacher however, he is not a pushover. The work is very clear. There is a lot of reading. If you do the work, you will be fine. Zero tolerance for late work so stay on top of your stuff! If you have questioned via email or phone, he answers! That's awesome for an online class!
Professor Swartz is definitely a hard and consistent teacher. You will get a huge work load if you choose to take a shorter class. But he gives clear and concise instructions about homework and project, I was never confused with what he wanted from us. Just expect to take this class seriously! It's a great class for anybody to take.
As long as you keep up with the reading and do the homework, your set. Do not wait to start working with your group members on the project.
He looks for you to give more than what you normally gives. He gives lots of feedback about what you can do going forward in his class and in the future.
If you follow instruction you will pass this class i wish it was not the 7 week i know my grade would have been better great teacher very fair just follow instructions
Great instruction. Very specific and a bit tough on grading but worth it. Great for development
Professor Swartz provided excellent and timely feedback. He was honest and fair. If he told you he would have a grade or feedback by a particular date, he meant it and provided it on time. He truly cares about his job and your education. Listen to him, follow his instructions and you will have a good experience in his class. I would recommend him.
If he comes up with the quiz questions, then my only feedback would be to reword some of those. Very tricky wording in some questions/answers, making them needlessly difficult at times. Other than that, he gives good feedback most of the time, although feedback for individual students could be better.
I took the online course, so there was a lot of reading. Professor Swartz has his students' best interest at heart. He provides specific feedback for every assignment. Follow his instructions and guidence and you will do well. He has a fair but firm standard and clearly states it. I recommend taking his class when you have the opportunity.
Professor Swartz realizes the complications of an online course and obviously does everything he can to ensure he bridges those gaps the best he can. He is very communicative about what is expected of us as well as what we can expect week to week. Highly recommend for an online course.
Professor Swartz did a great job at explaining all of his assignments. He e-mails his students every week to explain what is due that week as well as goes over the assignments from the week before. As long as you turn your homework in on time and follow instructions, theres no reason why you shouldn't be able to pass the course.
Professor Swartz is very responsive and is quick to respond to any questions or emails. He is very easy to work with and you will learn a lot about marketing in his class!
Great Professor! Gives good feedback!
I enjoyed your class, I love your announcements your very engaged with the online course. Thank you for being my teacher!
As long as you follow the assignment instructions accurately, passing the class isn't that hard.
Great professor, I would definitely recommend to take him.
Gives the tools to be successful. You just have to use them. Make sure to spell check all papers and site your sources correctly.
The lectures helped me summarize the reading and give more detail about the major topics we went over. Also, he has a very clear grading criteria which makes the given grades justified and shows me exactly where I went wrong.
Definitely read all of his announcements, because he provides all the extra feedback and tips to pass his class. He also has extra credit set up for the very end of the class just in case. There is a group project as your final. The book is definitely a neccessity, if there is a cheap e-book I definitely reccommend. I rented and it was cheap too.
Easy A but you will have to work for it. The reading and assignments are fairly easy but set aside time to do them and focus. The quizzes are open book and timed but if you read the assignments you should do fine. The professor provides good feedback and clear instructions on his expectations. Make sure you back up your opinions with references.
Professor Swartz gives excellent feedback on discussions and assignments which I greatly appreciated. He is a tough grader, but clearly lays out his expectations so make sure to read them. I would gladly take another course taught by Prof Swartz
Great teacher! Really wants you to pass the class. I learned alot from his class and hoping I'll be able to take another one of his. Helps you when you need it and is timely on his responses to your questions.
The professor responded quickly to emails
I took this class as an introductory course to marketing because I was trying to decide if I want to pursue it as a concentration for my degree. I will be pursuing more advanced marketing classes because this one was great. You have to read all of the material to understand whats going on and keep up with the announcements. Great Professor!
This professor was great at communicating with students. Everything made sense and no material was confusing! Great teacher and I would greatly recommend
This is only tough as you make it. This class was in the beginning tough for me because I didn't know what to expect. After asking for guidance from the Professor, he actually gave me great info to make sure I passed. He responds back quick. He took me out of my comfort zone but I needed that push. I would take him again to be pushed for perfection
I found this class to be very informative and really helped me to understand marketing better. The class can be challenging at times and he is a tough grader, I overall was pleased with the class as I felt i learned so much. You will get a good grade in this class if you focus and work hard.
Professor Swartz is a good professor and he will definitely critique you but in the good way so that you can improve in your work. He is always available, gives very clear updates and announcements, and very honest about your work. You get what you work for!
Professor Swartz's class is tough, but you will gain a lot from it. If you do not know how to cite or write in proper APA format, you better learn. Read his announcements carefully. He grades in a timely manner and gives feedback! All in all I enjoyed this class but it was not a walk in the park.
Tough grading but gives great feedback. You will definitely learn in this class!
This class was definitely a tough one, but as long as you keep up to date with the work and announcements, you'll do well. He's a tough grader, but gives good and quick feedback. You will submit group assignments the entire semester so make sure you have good communication with your team. If you want a challenge, I would recommend Professor Swartz.
Professor Swartz was a good professor. If you want to learn, take him. There is a lot of work you have to do to earn your grade but plenty of opportunities to ask for help. Exams are pretty easy if you read the chapters and virtual lectures. DBs, exams and team project included in grade. He gives really good feedback, very quickly. Great professor!
At the start of the class, information overload! Lots of reading upfront but the follow the guidelines and timelines should be okay. Most of the work effort is group based within teams.
This class was a challenge but worth it. I felt that I actually learned and retained the material. The professor is a tough grader but honestly the feedback he gives is really helpful. The majority of the class is spent working on a group marketing plan. I would recommend professor Swartz.
This was a tough course for me. There was a lot of work. If you want to be challenged and grow he is the professor for you. Tough grader. Gives great fast feedback. You will work on your group project every week so communication with your teammates is key. The PharmaSim was interesting and a bit challenging.
I was, so nervous to take this class, but professor Swarz made it an interesting class. The workload is heavy and you really have to work to gain a good grade. Exams are not hard if you read the material. If I would have to take this class again, I would definitely choose to take it with professor Rod Swartz. Recommend.
I was nervous to take this class but professor Rod Swartz made it interesting. The workload is heavy and it is a lot on your plate to work with, but he gives a lot of extra credit so take advantage of that. Exams are not hard if you read material. Do you work on time and you will do good in this class. Recommend this professor.
Overall great professor. You must put the work in to get a good grade. Make sure that you read the syllabus and follow his layout. Will miss out on points by not following all the parts on the syllabus. Enjoyable class and the professor is very active with you and responds back quickly. I would take another class with him again.
Good professor, not an easy grader, Have to work for your grade, but what is wrong with that
Professor Swartz, is willing to work with you, but it's imperative for this course to be a part of a great team. I feel like that is the only reason why I have been able to sustain my grades. I didn't care for the simulation and he is a very tougher grader. He provides ample opportunities for extra credit, but be sure to read EVERY announcement.
Not a completely horrible experience, but would chose a different professor. Unclear direction, conflicting directions from syllabus. Toughest grader for entire duration of undergraduate. Beware, his mistakes in directions will cost you grades when turning things in (zero credit). Must constantly read announcements and re-submit for credit.
Make sure you read ALL instructions and provide facts to support your assignments. He is a tough grader but you come away with good research skills. The team project is very hands on from the get-go, discussion board and exams aren't too difficult if you do your reading. The silver lining is there are multiple extra credit assignments.
The overall course consisted of discussions, exams and putting together a team project . If you dont like group projects this wont be the course for you. Tough grader but as long as you do the work and participate with your team you will pass.
I believe that a pfoessor who gives many assignmets can help students get more possible points. This professor taought me uneasy subject, but he mkes it seems not hard since he explains, response, and gives good feedback all the course.
Beware, Great professor if you have time. The work load is intense! I work two jobs and getting the work done and in on time with my other 3 classes is a struggle. Each discussion posts requires multiple sources and at least a page of writing. All responses require at least two sources and half a page. Team project is intense and a LOT of work.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. I literally debated dropping this class for days. He is the most condescending and rude professor Ive ever had. He doesnt help you. It is basically up to you and your teammates to figure this class out. Its very confusing all together and so much work. Find a better professor you wont regret it.
Do you enjoy group projects? This is the class to take.
Tough grader but if you do the work you'll get a good grade.
Would take this class with another professor. He is a decent professor but a very tough grader. Would recommend take a longer class and not the 7 week class.
Professor Swartz encourages full participation with the use of the team-based Pharmasim game, group assignments, and discussion boards. This is a class that requires communication and attention to detail.
The workload for this class is no joke. This class was condensed so it makes sense that every week there are multiple things due. The group project is the main focus for this course while discussions and exams take the backseat. Do your reading, listen to his feedback, and communicate well with your group and you will pass.
Professor Swartz is indeed knowledgeable about what he teaches and will pay high attention to each assignment, so do not slack off anywhere. He is a tough grader so be sure to read assignments thoroughly and heed his feedback so you can improve! This helped me do better on my discussion board posts. Good professor if you're wanting a challenge.
Very high workload class but the work itself is not difficult. The entire class is one big team project. Stay organized and do not get behind.
The greatest and most memorable profs I've had. He's the golden standard for "tough but absolutely fair". Many professors let you skip by and you'll retain nothing by the end of the semester but not Prof. Swartz. If you do your work and pay attention, your grade and learning experience will be your reward. Thorough feedback given on EVERYTHING.
Group project is challenging for an online class. If you don't have time to dedicate to this class, don't take it. Professor is very strict about formatting/citations. Provides feedback but if you have questions about feedback provided will not articulate further for you, which I found to be very discouraging.
Professor Swartz cares about his students, and their success/failure in his class. He is fair with his grading, and makes sure that you know what is expected. If you do the work, and put in the time and effort, you will do well. I would recommend him to others, and would take a class with him again if offered.
You WILL learn marketing, prof is tough but fair and does not like repeating himself. I learned way more than I expected. He knows his stuff and wants you to learn it as well.
Good Professor, tough grader, group project pharmasim was tough getting the hang out it but eventually got it, work load wasnt't that bad DB's every week APA format, gave extra credit, very understanding when situations arise just email or text him very fast response, tough tough grader but work is do-able, would take again.
Prof. Swartz is a great teacher. He is very involved in class, provides great feedback. He is a though grader, but also fair. At the very beginning expectations are clearly stated, sylabus is clear and easy to follow. PharmaSim is interesting. Just make sure you read student manual, follow the instructions and you will be fine.
pat attention
Teacher is great! Definitely is a tough grader though, Is really specific on how he likes his work to be done. Everything is done in APA so, if you dont follow those guidelines many points will be deducted. An issue I ran into was he doesnt reply to emails quickly. It takes about 2-3 days for a reply.
Professor Rod Swartz makes you work for your grade. Get ready to read and research. The class load could be heavy at times, but you can pass if you do the work exactly as he want it. He does answer all your questions in a timely manner.
I'm not going to lie, this is a touch class. Get organized! Pace yourself. Professor Swartz is a good professor. He gives good feedback, participates in discussion, grades quickly, and is strict about APA guidelines which helps you with your other classes. Be prepared to read and stay on top of your assignments. I learned a lot in this class.
wants you to learn so good professor to take.
This class was not challenging if you read the lectures and the instructions. You dont need to buy a book, there is a free online book. I took this class online at my own pace, however there is a group final project. The professor was quick to answer questions, I would 100% recommend.
Professor Swartz is good if you like lots and lots and lots of feedback. Personally I prefer a more laid back professor which he absolutely is not. He gives so many specific instructions that it is overwhelming, and if you are anything like me, will give you unnecessary anxiety. He is a very harsh grader (took points off for a missing colon" ...
My favorite part of this class was finally finishing it. Although the class was annoying from the beginning, it got worse when Swartz began grading our assignments by his own standards (Gradebook, 2020). As far as improvements go, he should own up to his wrongdoings, and be fair (Rubrics, 2020). Some advice--don't take his class (Syllabus, 2020).
Professor Swartz is definitely a teacher who wants you to succeed, but wont hand it to you. You need to work for your success. He is very strict with his grading so make sure to read every template and announcement given! He is very helpful and responds to emails fairly quickly we he needs to. I think he is a great choice!
I enjoyed this class it wasn't too hard and Professor Swartz is an understanding man.
I took his marketing for business class online. He provides good feedback. He sets clear expectations if you read the information he provides and complete all assignments on time you will pass.
There was a really heavy emphasis on following all of the rules that were given to a T, but a lot of times the instructions that were provided were not clear or were contradictory. I appreciate Prof. Swartz's intentions with his tough grading and feedback, but I felt like a lot of it came across as condescending and not super helpful.
Beware, the reason this professor has so many reviews is because he gives extra credit if you do. This class was truly a pain. The prof is a tough grader on APA format, which he focused on more than Marketing itself. I've never had such a strict grader. The group project is also a huge pain and is worth 20% of your grade.
He is a hard professor but he wants really enjoys the information he teaches and wants you to work hard for your grade. If every professor was like him we would have more dedicated students to their studies. He provides great feedback on what you do wrong and what he enjoyed in each discussion and assignment. He is a hard Professor Overall great!
Professor Swartz is so particular when it comes to references and paper layout. Lost points on almost every assignment because little stuff that truly doesn't matter. Like references not being in alphabetical order lost me points. The professor takes his job way too seriously. He does grade fast so that is good.
Course consist of 2 exams, a quiz, 3 assignments, 6 disc questions, & a team project. Initial disc due Fri with the response being due Sun. Make sure you follow the requirements on the syllabus (which he has in BOLD) & you will do fine. He grades quickly and gives constructive feedback. Do not slack & do the work and you will do great!
Easy class to follow using the syllabus
Weekly assignments, discussions, quizzes, and tests. He grades tough on the discussions but gives good feedback for how to get the grade you prefer.
I had my doubts about this professor because he is a tough grader. He has clear expectations and how they should be met, however, I have never had such a hard time with discussions. This is the first and only class I have taken that required cited sources in discussions as well as in-text citations. Do your work and cite your sources!
Please be prepared to write and write. Professor Swartz will make you have all your discussions documented in APA and no free open discussions with personal opinions.
The usual - a couple exams, one quiz, DB's each week, 3 assignments and a group project. Professor is clear on timeline and expectations, but also offers options for late work and EC. IMPORTANT:: Make sure to follow APA format in ALL DB/Assignments and get your initial DB post done by Friday. References and in-text citations MUST be used. Cheers!
Professor is clear on expectations and assignments. Do the work and you will pass!
Professor Swartz was a great professor to have. He is very strict and clear in his grading criteria. He gives excellent feedback, and make sure to read the announcements. At the beginning of the course he gives you his "writing expectations". Follow these expectations, turn your work in on time and you will be sure to pass.
Paper and discussion board heavy class and professor. Unfair grading techniques - such as grades on an introduction post. Citation heavy requirements that do not even work or make sense 99% of the time, but loss of points for not including.
Tough grader but lets you know beforehand. He expects a level of professionalism from his students that people would expect in the real world so he is trying to set everyone up for success. The workload was not overwhelming so that allowed me to learn the material better. As long as you work hard and get everything done on time you should be fine.
Professor Swartz clearly outlines his grading requirements and expectations at the start of the course. Follow directions and you will succeed! Also, Professor Swartz provides detailed analysis regarding grades, which is extremely helpful! Overall, fantastic professor!
Prof. Swartz clearly outlines what is due that week and grades assignments in a very timely manner. He is very easy to get into contact with when you need any assistance. Overall, I would take a course taught by him again and would recommend to others.
Make sure you read the syllabus thoroughly before starting class. He does not place the requirements in his notes for discussions and assignments. He is a tough grader but, if you just follow the syllabus and stay on top of everything its not a horrible course. Also, volunteer to be a Team Leader on the group project. Trust me.
Professor Swartz has clear expectations on what is expected in the course. When writing your discussions and assignments, make sure to include incite citations and references. 1 group project, 2 exams, 1 quiz, 3 assignments, and discussion boards. Great class and would take the Professor again.
This class was incredible and Professor Swartz will correct you if you are not meeting his requirements by clearly outlining how you can get a better grade. The assignments and instructions are all clear and easily understandable. He gets back quickly to emails and comments if you have any questions. You will retain what you learn, great teacher!
Must use APA - a stickler for APA!!!
Professor Swartz was very enthusiastic about teaching. He was timely and gave great feedback. The course itself was structured well with a team project and 2 exams, a quiz, and weekly discussions. Textbook was mandatory. Overall satisfied with the course and his ability to engage with the class in a personal way that was very approachable.
Professor Rod has a high expectation for the students of his class, which I admire. Please read directions fully and understand what he is wanting with the discussion boards and assignments. If you do that you can easily pass his class.
Be prepared to come correct, hard work, but you will grow.
If you are willing to do the work, you will survive.
You will need to put in the work to do well in this class.
Professor Swartz was great, he was a tough grader but if you follow APA format and you make sure you have references for everything you do, you will do great. He did a wonderful job making sure you leave the course with a lot of knowledge and understanding what international business is really about.
Professor required us to use the textbook as a cited source for all assignments, which was new and different for me, but ultimately extremely helpful in helping me read the material more often. Feedback was detailed, helpful, and timely enough to be useful.
Grading was tough, but fair and exactly as the rubric stated. Feedback was timely for all assignments and extremely helpful.
work load was really light for the most part, a discussed board every week, few assignments and a big team project due on the last day of class. he is strict when it comes to grading, but follow the rubric and you will do fine.
He was a hard grader. However, if you just follow his instruction the way he wants you to do it, you will get a good grade. Alos he gives feedback if you do get a bad grade on an assignment, and he will tell what you need to do better to get a better grade.
Professor Swartz was always fast with his responses. He is a tough grader, but he will leave good feedback so you can do better on the next assignment.
I will say this much about Professor Swartz, he was a very challenging instructor, and I like to have an instructor who challenges me because it prepares me for the job I am going to school for. I understand that college is a very challenging experience but it gets us ready for the real world.
Professor Swartz is a great professor. He holds all his students to a professional standard and it is important to pay attention to the syllabus and the directions on the assignments. He is a strict grader but it is for a purpose. Pay attention, read the textbook and staying on top of your assignments will make the course a lot easier.
Professor Swartz was very professional and holds his students to a high standard. As long as you read the material use proper citations and formatting you will do well in his class.
Excellent professor, easy to work with.
The class is easy and the professor is easy as well. Very helpful and replies right away to the questions. Make sure to read the instructions and you would get the maximum of points.
The Professor gets you ready for real life obstacles within the work world. Professor can be a little nicer when responding to issues class related and non-related. If you take this course, follow directions to a T and review syllabus.
Professor Stewert is great professor he makes things easier for you if you need help, he is there to answer your questions he a great teacher.
Prof Swartz is a good teacher. He grades pretty hard on the discussion boards and papers but, he states what is expected in this class. I would recommend taking his class if you're up for a challenge.
Overall, Swartz is a good professor. I was not a fan of having discussions due on a Friday because of my personal everyday life. If you are not up for criticism, then go for another professor. He actually does read through your submissions, that be discussions and papers and will leave comments on what is unnecessary or what is good.
The course was extremely informational and I took away a great deal. Professor Swartz was good as well. He is a tough grader, especially when it comes to discussions. There aren't many assignments and all of the quizzes are open book. Knowing all I know now, I would take his course again.
Professor Swartz is a super organized professor that has a passion for ensuring his students achieve academic success. He is a tough grader, especially on his discussions. His quiz's are personalized, meaning the answers are not online so expect to study the online material. Overall I would recommend him if you would like push yourself!
Prof. Rod Swartz is an exceptional online educator. His engaging lectures, insightful feedback & thoughtful approach to course material make him stand out. His fair grading practices provide clear guidelines & timely feedback that helps students improve. Highly recommend for top-notch online learning!
He grades in a very... different way? He will take points off for unnecessary things, which will mess up your grade a lot. In weekly announcements he would talk about how a lot of people didn't do well in the discussion boards almost everytime, so I don't think it's the students. Just beware, because it's not the best class. Also, boring.
Professor Swartz gives clear instructions on what his expectations are so you are never left guessing. If you ever need to reach him, he responds very quickly. He truly cares for your success and provides feedback with every assignment.
Professor Swartz was very heavy with discussion boards, when using these he expected very detailed work to be done, with high amounts of quizzes and discussions it helps a lot to know what is needed on a weekly basis with consistent deadlines.
Professor Swartz was very discussion and quiz heavy with clear deadlines each week. On the big projects he was very hard with his grading to make sure we had the right grade.
Knowledgeable professor. Very tough on APA grading criteria and his feedback could be a little more positive. Overall, he is tough but it helped me.
Professor Swartz is a great teacher! As long as you pay attention to the rules and instructions you'll do well. He responds to emails quickly and there were no live meetings we were required to attend. There is a 5-7 page small business plan at the end of the course. It was a challenge, but I think it was fair because there were no big exams.
Professor Rod Swartz has been very easy to work with through out the entirety of this course. He gave excellent feedback on discussions, case studies, and assignments. My advice will be to communicate with your professor at all times. Take time out to read and complete all assignments.
Professor Rod Swartz is a great Professor, the class he provided was an easy one, capturing interests in Business. He is also very forgiving, and helps out with grades helping people get their grades in even after the deadline has passed. He possesses empathy and will give students time if they need it, or an error has occurred.
Professor Swartz did a great job teaching this class. Professor Swartz delivered the material in a clear and understanding manner. The professor gave good timely feedback and accurate concise instruction on assignments.
This professor was a great professor.
Very thoughtful and had great communication, especially when it came to writing in this course. His feedback not only made me a better writer for his class but for my other courses as well. Prior to his class, I had no experience writing in apa format. However, he still made sure we fully understood the assignment and gave great help when needed.
Prof. Swartz is definitely knowledgeable in business and will show it through and through, Although a tough grader if you can make substantial discussions posts and keep yourself organized on material and submission there will be no issues.
Professor Swartz was a good professor, and he did show he cared about his students. He does it in a tough love kind of way, but that just shows how much he cares about getting his students the education we need. The assignments were very easy. If we needed help, he provided us with other resources or advice to help out. I recommend him.
I was a little intimidated when signing up for this course, but Professor Swartz was exactly what I expected. The course isn't difficult, but you do have to the work. He isn't a hard grader, but he recognizes those who do their work and those who do not. I enjoyed the class and think I'd take it again if it were hybrid rather than fully self-paced.
The course isn't difficult, but you do have to do the work. He isn't a hard grader, but he recognizes those who do their work and those who do not. I enjoyed the class and I'd take it again. I took it fully online . This professor was a great professor.
Expectations are SUPER clear! As long as you complete all assignments there is no way that you can't get a passing grade. Just turn in the assignments. I really liked how he used announcement to give you all the information you need to know for the week. I would HIGHLY recommend this professor.
Great communication with his class!!! He made weekly announcements that overviewed assignments + went over grades and feedback. He is very clear with his grading criteria and constantly repeats his expectations. Lots of discussions, APA format, must use sources, and all course material is provided. Answers emails and grades quickly.
Professor Swartz's class is pretty easy going, just do your work. He offers a lot of opportunities for you to adjust your grade and provides feedback. He is also easy to reach, I would definitively take another one of his courses.
Professor Swartz is a knowledgeable and caring instructor. His clear communication and feedback helped me improve my writing skills. unstuckstudy ai was a great study aid alongside the provided course materials.
This Professor is very direct and to the point of what he expects out of his students. He gives GREAT feedback especially on what he was looking for and what you should have done. This class has taught me a lot.
He pushes using in text citations and references (APA) appropriately. He is very clear about how he wants them so if you read and follow his instructions you should be good. He does offer easy extra credit if you want. There is a group project at the end.
The course I take was 7 weeks. I wouldn't recommend this course to a new student.
Most students will not find this course to be smooth sailing. The professor 'rants' too much and you will read annoying announcements (25+ in a 7 week course) for an hour a week trying to sift through unimportant info to get info for important assignments. I'd imagine you'd have better luck elsewhere, his grading is also personal and non objective.
Read the provided material, provide substantial discussions, engage with classmates on projects, use your sources, and also ask for extensions if needed. Professor Swartz is also busy and understands if things come up and will work with you to get the best grade. Also, use APA format for everything.
This professor makes this class so much more difficult than it needs to be. His "feedback" on assignments are rude and snarky. He provides a rubric with assignments and then doesn't even return it with your grade to see how you rated, instead you get to read rude comments along the margins. I'd rather transfer schools than take him again.
This is not a beginner class, but the standard that Professor Swartz holds you to on your assignments can really elevate your skills and capabilities. For a 7 week course the work load was on the mild side which was a relief. Quizzes are open book with multiple attempts. Quick grading and feedback for improvement before the next assignment.
It was one of the most enriching academic experiences I've had. Professor Swartz combines deep knowledge of marketing with a genuine passion for the subject. The course is engaging and insightful. He connected theory to real-world practice. He encourages critical thinking and gives constructive feedback that helps academically and professionally.
The professor is super passionate about his lessons and pretty particular about how he wants things done. As long as you follow the lectures and instructions for your discussion posts and papers, you'll be fine. Plus, he gives really helpful feedback on assignments!
The professor places excessive emphasis on formatting rather than the quality of work. Formatting errors seemed to outweigh the importance of the content and effort put into the assignments He frequently encourages students to ask questions, then his responses come across as dismissive or condescending. The course material itself was not challenging
Professor Swartz is very precise with his expectations in the course. It is possible to get an A if you follow his directions to a tee. He is a difficult grader at times, however his feedback is usually clear and precise. It is also given in time to make improvements in the following week which is beneficial.
BEWARE!!! He is EXTREMELY harsh with grading, he has high expectations for every assignment. A LOT of reading (65 pages in one week), weekly discussions, quizzes, and research projects, be prepared to do inline citations and references for every single discussion, including discussion responses. I would not take his class again.
Professor Swartz is, hands down, the best professor I've had. He is clear with his expectations, and also provides clear feedback on discussions/assignments. Make sure you look at that feedback! It will help you. He's understanding of things that happen in our personal lives, so TALK to him if you have issues with assignments! Best professor!
Professor Swartz did a great gob at posting what was coming due and when. I liked the flexibility of this online course. The material was very relatable to what actually occurs in the real corporate world which may not always be the case in some courses. I am able to have a deeper connection to the course material when this is the case.
His class it's easy as long as you do your work on time
Pay attention to the announcements and feedback of the announcements and the feedback on your graded assignments to improve for your next assignment or discussion.
Although Professor Swartz is a tough grader he is fair. Be sure to stay on top of assignments and follow his instructions be everything is laid out clearly He's genuinely wants you to learn and succeed. Highly recommend him for online marketing courses!
Although Professor Swartz is a tough grader he is fair. Be sure to stay on top of your assignments because everything is laid out clearly. He's professional and genuinely wants you to learn and succeed. Highly recommend him for online marketing.
I appreciate this professor and everything she taught us especially how critical her critique is it helps you a lot getting ready for the real word just basically by saying paying attention to everything to be the best you can.
Professor Swartz's Principles in Management Class was a great start and introduction to the business administration program at FSCJ. I enjoyed how detailed he was in his expectations of our writing, which were consistent from the beginning, and he provided feedback on how to improve. If there were problems, they could be solved with a quick email.
It's a fair class to pass. Make sure to pay attention to his announcements.
Professor is a tough grader, but is very fair and clear about expectations from day one. You will learn a lot if you put in the work. He provides excellent feedback on every project and discussion posts. If you are looking for an easy A this isn't it but if you actually understand marketing, and do the require work an A is very much possible.
He is a tough grader, so make sure you're actually doing your work. As long as your work is done correctly, you should be fine. He is usually fast about responding.
The professor explains everything clearly. I recommend this class to anyone it's organized, and you'll get helpful feedback along the way.
I really enjoyed this marketing class. My favorite aspects of the class were the actual marketing assignments. The only area needed for improvement is being more lenient with the discussion post. Professor Rod is a tough grader for the discussions, but he gives great feedback. My advice for friends would be, take the class.
I have no real quarrels about Professor Swartz. He is pretty straight forward and clear. He is a tough grader but gives you the opportunity to get things right. It is not hard to get a B or A in this class if you apply yourself even with tough grading. I believe without critical life events I sit at an A in this class. Cite your sources!
Mr. Swartz class was straight forward, you do the work you get the grade. His class is not hard and he gives feedback on why you receive the grade he gives you just pay attention. Word of advice if you don't know how to do citations learn before doing this class or turning in paper or doing discussion your discussion post its required.
Professor Swartz class as easy as long as you follow his grading criteria and APA format style writing, it's very important to use citations as well even when replying to classmates. He's a tough grader when it comes to that.
Overall, professor Schwartz class was good experience. If you want to be successful in this class, make sure to read the material use APA format, for your discussion boards and assignments and also make sure to use citations and scholarly sources.
Tough grader but clear about expectations from day one. He provides excellent feedback on every project and discussion post not just grades. I would take again. His assignments require real effort and attention to detail.
4 discussions, 4 case studies, 8 quizzes and a final project that you can start from early on. Expectations are well communicated since the beginning so as long as you follow directions you should be good. You get feedback on everything so you know where to do better. Would take this profesor again!
